Bar 17 Bistro Orlando Reviews
Great food with beautiful views! We ate here without a reservation at 6pm on a Monday. There was hardly anyone else there so finding a great seat was easy! Our server, Jordan, was great—quick, knowledgable, and attentive! One side of the bar has views of Epic, Volcano Bay, and a few other Orlando spots. The other side has a cool view of Hogwarts! Our food was excellent! My burger was well cooked and seasoned, and the fries were CRISPY!! My husband had the Korean friend chicken and he was a fan. He wished it had a pickled veggie of some kind to balance the seasoning of the chicken, but enjoyed it still! He also ordered a mule, which had very little alcohol and he wouldnt order it again.
I've been here before. I swear the menu was a bit different but that didn't change anything on how service and food was. The drinks were very tasty and the food was exceptional. I ordered a variety plate as an appetizer and it was DELICIOUS!!! For the main course, I ordered the steak which came in a large portion. I had to give some to my brother whose birthday we were celebrating. The drinks I kept ordering were something lavender. They were so good and made perfectly. The place brags a great view of all points of Orlando. It did thunder but that didn't impact the night. It seemed as though a live performer was setting up but the more it thundered he canceled and packed his instrument to leave. The bathroom is big and very clean. No complaints at all.
Bar 17 Bistro | Orlando, FL We came here for our honeymoon and let me tell you—the staff MADE it. From the moment we walked in, it felt special in a way you can’t fake. The vibe? Immaculate. The seating situation alone deserves a standing ovation. You get to pick your own style—from traditional tables to oversized, low-slung lounge chairs. Naturally, we picked the comfy, cozy chairs and immediately fell in love. Oh—and did I mention it’s on the rooftop? Watching the sunset while settling into our spot? Unreal. Then came our waiter: peppy, kind, informative, and not the type to rattle off the whole menu like a robot. He gave us just enough info to make good choices without overwhelming us, and we followed his drink and appetizer recs—and wow. Everything hit. We genuinely wished we were hungrier because it was that good and that fun. If you're looking for an experience that’s laid-back, a little fancy, and a whole lot of lovely—Bar 17 Bistro delivers. 10/10 would honeymoon there again.
We were recommended to visit this splendid place.. though located in a different hotel.. by our lobby bartender. And he was absolutely right! The main benefit apparently is its prominent location on the top of the Sapphire hotel. Amazing views of Orlando theme parks guaranteed. We wait till the dark and enjoyed all those fireworks around. The bar serves tasty menu for good value. Bibimbap with steak was fine.
We dined at Bistro 17 over the 4th of July weekend, and it was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and seated right away, with the option to choose our spot. It was a rainy weekend, but our incredible server Jeanine made sure we were in a dry, comfortable spot with a beautiful view from this stunning rooftop restaurant. We were a party of seven, including two kids and my senior mom in a wheelchair. Jeanine didn’t miss a beat, she made space effortlessly and even fixed a wobbly table without being asked. Her attentiveness and kindness truly stood out. The food? Absolutely delicious and beautifully presented! Our table enjoyed a variety of dishes, including: Pork Belly Bao – perfectly spiced with kimchi, gochujang, and a flavorful onion salad Matcha Brussels Sprouts with Grilled Chicken – crunchy, bold, and addicting Stir Fry Egg Noodles with Salmon – fresh and savory with just the right amount of sauce Bibimbap – vibrant, hearty, and full of flavor The 17 Burger – a classic done right, juicy and satisfying Every dish was a hit! Jeanine truly went above and beyond, so much so that my daughter and son-in-law returned later that night for dessert, and she helped them pull off a surprise gender reveal with two desserts! (It’s a girl—revealed by a slice of cheesecake 💕). Jeanine is a GEM, and Bistro 17 is a must-visit. We’ll absolutely be back!
Really wonderful place for an evening meal and a nightcap! You can see the Disney fireworks from up here and get to look upon the different parks that are surrounding you. It can be a bit loud and a bit crowded… So please be patient with your wait staff.
Superior customer service! Amazing views & delicious cuisine!
We knew of this place from people taking about it online. We it was closed the first two days we were there for a party and just because it was closed. We were so glad we didn't miss out on it. What fantastic views of all three parks and of the sunset. The bartenders were attentive and so the drinks were perfection. The food looked awesome as well - the person besides us ordered the mushrooms and I thought they were the wings because they were so big. Next time we're back we're going there, even if we aren't staying at that hotel.
Amazing food, amazing view, and very friendly service. Definitely recommend!!
Bar 17 Bistro rooftop is the perfect place to go see beautiful sun set in Orlando. Ample seating and a wide variety of drinks and fingers food it is a good place to hangout with friends. Everything was great, but unfortunately we had to leave earlier because of an approaching storm. It got too windy and they had to close down for safety reasons, other than that ambient, service, drinks and food good, I'm looking forward to out next visit when I return to Orlando.
Nice place to chill have a few drinks at the roof top. The roof top burger and fries was awesome the foggy sunrise cocktail was really good the view is beautiful and the staff was very friendly.
While on vacation in Orlando last week I was recommended by friends to visit bar17 and I’m so happy I listened to them!! The drinks and food were great but the service at the bar from Daniel is what made our experience amazing!! He was extremely personable and truly made this place stand out. Next time we’re in town we will definitely be stopping by!!
I'm so grateful to have had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The bartenders, Katie, Grace and Alex, were so wonderful to us. Their professionalism, friendliness, and attentiveness made our night so special. I'll definitely be back! Thank you to the staff for making our evening so enjoyable
The 17th-floor vantage point of Bar 17 atop Universal’s Aventura Hotel affords remarkable Vegas-like views of the various Universal properties, I-Drive and downtown Orlando in the distance, framed by the flashing lights of Islands of Adventure and the lava flow of Volcano Bay. Mixed cocktails and frozen drinks are served alongside various trendy bao, Florida-sourced salads and Wagyu sliders. There are touches of China, Spain, France, Japan and the good old U.S. in the cooking at this sky-high locale—everything from bao buns (braised pork belly, splendid duck confit with turmeric citrus aioli, and even better firecracker shrimp with an orange chili glaze) to simple but perfect prime rib grilled cheese with Vermouth cheddar (I believe the proper word is elegant).
All the food was great.. and we had a great server named ryan ....would def recommend.
Tabitha was one of the best bar tenders I’ve ever had at a Universal hotel! She was diligent, memorable, considerate of our needs, and provided an air of energetic delight for our experience! So grateful to her! Give Tabitha a raise!!!!!
I recently stayed at the property over the weekend and had a lovely experience everything was clean and the atmosphere was nice. Me and my wife stopped at bar 17 and had Amazing experience with are bartenders grace and Katy who gave great service, engaging conversation and let me tell you, know how to make a drink! My wife who is usually very particular when it comes to drinking couldn’t get over how every drink she got was spot on! It was truly a bright moment of our stay in orlando.
We went up to have a drink and enjoy the view...amazing! We watched the fireworks at Magic Kingdom, the lights from I Drive, and the lights, sights, and sounds of Universal Orlando! The bar wasn't very busy, but it did seem a bit tough to get waited on. The staff was very nice, they just need to be a bit more aware of their guests! Overall, a great place! I definitely recommend it!
Great service and fantastic views. We visited on a Friday night and there was plenty of space available. Our server Dani was very attentive and made sure we had drinks at all times! They had a live DJ starting at 8pm when we visited. Enjoyed the Down Thyme and Bliss Fulfillment cocktails, which were great. Music is excellent as well with primarily dance/EDM music playing. For dinner, we enjoyed their wings, which were good but somewhat dry and did not come with any sort of dipping sauce that matched the taste of the wing other than ranch or blue cheese. Their parmesan French fries were delicious and highly recommended! Finally, we enjoyed their empanada which paired well with a cilantro sauce they provided. Overall, great atmosphere, service and food!
We stayed at the Advertura for our Universal trip. I'm sad that we waited until our final night to check out Bar 17 Bistro. Matos made great cocktails and was very costumer service oriented. He had that vibe about him that makes you feel like you're a regular. I had the Volcano View (kind of a Japanese whisky sour) and my wife had the Almost Sangria. Both drinks were excellent in taste and presentation. If not for a 4:00AM wake up ahead of us, we'd have ordered a couple more. Lindsey touched base with us throughout our visit, and was just as personable as Matos. We each ordered 2 bao buns: braised pork belly and duck confit for her, braised pork belly and firecracker shrimp for me. Some of the best food we had for the entire trip. It was a bit chilly, but a light jacket and sitting at the bar near a heater would offset it. The only real draw back was it was wicked bright. Lights on full blast, but Lindsey said some guests complain about ambiance lighting ruining their ability to see the food. All in all, I highly recommend checking it out. EDIT: They charged my credit card despite us paying our tab with cash. Currently in the process of disputing the charge with my bank. Called the bar last Saturday pointing out their error with no response (via email or phone). Sad. UPDATE: After 30 days the credit card issue has been resolved. Ante Kulusic was invaluable in the entire process. The man exudes professionalism and is the epitome of customer care. John Burger, Maria Rivera, and Frances Riggs also assisted me a great deal in the resolution. A criminal spoofed my card and managed to clandestinely charge my card via the chip in an undetectable fashion. I can't express enough how much Ante meant in the solution. He's a great man. I look forward to meeting him personally upon my return to Orlando.
Ok let me start off by saying Matt Stewart is the best hostess in the entire world!!!!! This guys was outstanding, went above and beyond measures to make sure that celebrating my daughter’s 15th bday was top notch! Words can describe how polite and kind he was! It’s because of the excellent customer service that will will most definitely be coming back to Bar 17!.. oh, I for got to mention the food LoL. It was awesome! But again, Matt is the best!!!!!’n Thank you for all you do for Bar 17!!
I had my girlfriends birthday party there and also proposed to her 😁 and got a “YES”. The staff are amazing. Jessica the event manager is such a great person to go to. John, and Mariah we’re managing the night and I can’t explain how helpful, available, and kind they are. I couldn’t have asked for more. The ambiance is so welcoming and you can enjoy a 360 degree view of this beautiful city. The food is delicious. The menu is diverse and ingredients are fresh. It was the festival of flavors. I’m so happy that I picked this place among my long list of 18 other venues in Orlando.
This was my first time visiting bar 17 bistro. The experience was incredible. The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure I was having a great time. The atmosphere was amazing. The food was great the prices of the food were fantastic. I mentioned to the manager Brian it was my birthday and he surprised me with a slice of delicious chocolate cake with “Happy Birthday “ free of charge. I can’t say enough about how amazing this experience was. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Please everyone don’t hesitate visit Bar 17 bistro. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Bryan definitely needs a promotion. He embodies customer service through out. Thanks Team again for the wonderful birthday experience.
This place is a highlights of Universal Aventura hotel.Located on 17th floor. This rooftop bar has their own express elevator just to go up there without stopping any other floor. Drinks was awesome,The bartenders “Bryan and Scott” are cool dudes! They do care to make your order right even when we ordered food,They still make sure we got what we want. They do have heater everwhere,Which it’s help.Do not recommended to go up there on the windy night because it’s gonna be super cold there but any other night with normal Florida’s weather that place is perfect for you. We did ordered fried chicken wings (It’s a must),We got a cheese board which was lovely but it’s only cheese+bread+grapes, pickles and mustard. It would be better if the chef throw some cold cut in it like salami, prosciutto It would be even more perfect.I got fried rice which was seasoning perfectly. My husband got a steak and he loved it. Are we going back to hangout there next time? Definitely.
Very nice vibe. Stayed at the hotel and decided to visit the bar after a day at the park. They had a DJ playing chill vibe music. The views go all the way around the rooftop allowing you to see all around even into the various universal parks! They do validate parking. The drinks are also very good. Seating is ample and very comfortable.
I only drank here I didn’t eat! The drinks are good, they have a lot of options and cocktails. The vibes and the view is amazing- especially if you wanna watch fireworks. The staff seemed not happy or friendly we were there. They gave us plastic cups and other people around us got glass ware. The service was a little slow. I definitely do recommend this bar though if you want some awesome views!
Beautiful setting and atmosphere for Christmas Eve ! Excellent food but most of all service , made a wonderful Christmas Eve experience for my family . Jordan was attentive and kind and and made sure we had everything we needed through the dining experience .
Comida riquisima, trató excelente, precio fantástico excelente vista de la ciudad de Orlando y majestuoso atardecer en resumen un restaurante para repetir y competir con amigos y familiares.
Buena opción con hermosa vista para el atardecer.
Bar 17 Bistro is the rooftop bar at Universal Adventura Hotel. The area has plenty of seating and most have beautiful views of the theme parks. Food and drinks are tasty, but pretty pricey, but that's what you get at a theme park hotel/bar. P.S. don't ask the guys off to the corner dressed in similar suits, not drinking, ear pieces, and looking like bouncers anything... because "they don't work here." OK fella.
Rooftop bars are now my thing when I want to feel "upscale" lol. This restaurant was hands down one of the best vibes I have felt in a while. The music was great and the food was good and so were the drinks. It is a bit pricey but for the experience it was worth it. I got 2 orders of the Korean chicken wings (they were really good!) , the crispy fingerling potatoes (really good!) and the fried rice. The fried rice was not good imo but it had a beautiful visual presentation. I was able to send it back no problem and that was a plus. I got the almost sangria and that was delicious as well. Oh and they are located on the 17th floor of the Universal Aventura. Parking can and will be comped if you spend $25 or more and that's easy to do.
Bar 17 Bistro offers a great view from its rooftop bar but has a limited menu and average drinks. The atmosphere and view are its standout features. The Bao's are tiny, the salmon is decent, and the burger is below average. For a cool date night adventure, head to City Walk after 6 PM (free parking), take the free ferry to Sapphire Falls Resort, stroll to Bar 17, and enjoy the view. Or park at the hotel and get validation with a food purchase. Enjoy!
Good spot to view the city and parks at night. Excited fireworks also viewable in the evening. Bartenders and drinks are good 👍
The views from up here are AMAZING! Service was a bit slow, but it was so nice looking around we didn't mind it. My son and I got the Brussel sprouts, Korean BBQ wings, parmesan fries and 3 bao buns (fried chicken, pork belly and beef). The sprouts and the wings were GREAT! Also the fried chicken bao. The fries were okay and my son and I didn't really like the pork or beef bao. I got a mule and it was tasty. Recommend if you have a free dinner night on a weekday at Universal. I hear the weekends get packed, and there are no reservations!
Did stay in this hotel so I can't give it a full fair review. The stairs are my overall perception of the ammenities that I did see and of course the stand out Bar17 in which where these views came from. This is a great spot to book to see a sunset and you can see fireworks from Disney parks.
A beautiful bar that overlooks Volcano bay. Great seating area. Great place to relax after a long day at the bay. Negatives i found was the cheap plastic cups they serve their expensive drinks in. Its kinda out of place and takes away from the overall quality. I didnt eat while i was there so the 3 star is for the drink. I also saw a few cockroachs when I was there. Overall pretty good. Probably won't order a drink thats served in plastic again.
Had a really good time at Bar 17 Bistro. The roof top bar provides wonderful views 360 degrees amd they are spectacular. There is a full service bar with a good beer selection and the bartenders can make any drink you would like. The have a menu with food item if you would like to have some food. The atmosphere was fun and met some new friends.
I visited Bar 17 last night with a friend, and while the experience was a bit mixed, there are definitely some highlights. First off, the views are absolutely stunning—honestly worth the visit alone. There’s plenty of space to relax, and it’s a great atmosphere to unwind with a drink. That said, the service left a lot to be desired. We sat at the bar and were ignored multiple times, even with empty glasses in front of us. We ordered food, but the bartender forgot our order more than once. Eventually, we decided to close out and eat somewhere else. Although the food was still on the bill, she did remove it without any issue—but by then, the experience had already soured a bit. Overall, Bar 17 has a lot of potential and is a beautiful spot, but I hope they can improve the service to match the quality of the space and view.
Used to come here often with guests for the average drink prices and great atmosphere, but the service was always poor, it is never busy. Unfortunately drink prices have almost doubled & food prices also went up about 30% over the last couple years, and the service still feels very pressured; Like they want you out quick, even though there’s plenty of space always. They were also out of the first three beers I wanted, but they had them in the lobby downstairs. For such a high-end feeling place you leave with a bad feeling. The baos were really great, it was $18 but didn’t fill me up so I had to eat more after.
Great views including the Disney fireworks. There is no kid menu and very limited options. The burger was decent, but you have probably been eating those all week. The wings are decent but the cauliflower has way too much buffalo seasoning on it and the Brussels sprouts aren't worth eating. I'd come up here for the view and maybe some drinks, but that's it.
Bring back the DJ. Guitarist is great/ talented, but two nights in a row of live music doesn't appeal to every crowd when trying to enjoy their weekend on resort. Also, if keeping guitarist, maybe turn off the TV behind them? Not every guest has common courtesy to NOT shout at the TV when their sports team is losing. Not great for the atmosphere or performer when opposing teams are shouting through their set list. Also, please dim the lights like you used to. Can't enjoy the view when the lights just make it so you can only see your reflection in the glass. So strange to have a rooftop bar lit as bright as the lobby bar. (Actually lobby bar has about 6 strips of lights that haven't worked for years, but that's another story) Food hit or miss, but an improvement from 2 years ago. Wish that the items on the menu were finished/plated as described or as expected (Jackfruit Baos had no sauce, Chicken Katsu missing sauce, fries delivered without ketchup, etc). Also, how about some real plates? Those sad notepad sized plates are a disaster for customer and staff alike. The knives you hear hitting the floor all night is because they don't fit on the plates, so customers drop them while eating and staff drop them while bussing. Service alone brought this review to 3 stars vs 2. Caleb was very knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. What an asset he is! Also, Grace made a pumpkin espresso martini and it was delicious.
Perfect spot some great views. They have heaters for breezy nights. You will get a 360 view of Orlando. If you have an Universal Orlando premier pass you can park at the city walk and take the water taxi to Lowes Sapphire Falls and walk to the Aventura hotel across to avoid the crazy parking fees. My only concern is this place was very dirty, napkins on the floor, stain marks on the tables, definitely needs more attention to details. And need better lounge seating or furniture. I am giving 3 stars because of the location. If this place is managed by LOWES they dropped the ball for sure. Not up to their standards.
Even if you aren't staying, you'll want to visit the hotel just to see the dedicated 17th floor and the restaurant.
The service was fine, but unfortunately the biggest takeaway from our visit was spotting four cockroaches, including one under our table. When we mentioned it to the waitress, the response was simply, “we’re outside”, which was disappointing specially considering we were on the 17th floor. On top of that, both the food and drinks were overpriced for the quality and taste. It’s a real shame, because the place has such a beautiful view, but the experience did not live up to it.
This has a great location at the right Universal hotel that's more adult themed but it fails to impress due to subpar service and uninspired atmosphere. Last time I was here I order two alcoholic beverages, 2 adult dishes, and 1 kid dish which was the Jajangmyeon. I really like the Korean inspired menu but the waitress gave pushback on us ordering Jajangmyeon since my wife and I do not have kids despite the fact we just placed an order more than enough to justify our seats here. I politely said we wanted to try their Jajangmyeon as we were avid Korean food fans. She did put the order in but this ruined my mood and made me feel uncomfortable I had to justify my order. This is a bar. If I wanted to order 2 drinks and just the Jajangmyeon it shouldn't be a problem, nevermind the fact I ordered 2 adult dishes with it. Not to mention I've never experienced kids menu pushback at Disney World. That said I still left a nice tip as I think service workers have tough jobs. The food was good except for the Jajangmyeon which just wasn't close to the authentic flavor. Though Aventura lacks a dine in restaurant, this could serve as one in my opinion, it does for us. The views of Orlando and parks are beautiful from this rooftop both day and night. However the atmosphere never really draws you in with uninspired decor and furniture and the vibe is just always a little off. This could be forgivable if the prices were lower but its simply too expensive for what it is. Aventura is the most adult friendly resorts in Universal but they do nothing to cater to that and make this go-to spot. If you're looking for a better vibe go to Strongwater Tavern at Sapphire Falls directly across the street or go to City Walk it's hard to go wrong there.
I've never walked up to a bar and asked for two drinks for me and my wife and them say you can't get two drinks, so I had to point out my wife. Then when I asked for a particular drink for her with Little alcohol, not only did he make it with no alcohol but he let the other bartenders try it, when I caught him doing that he gave it to me for free which I thought was cool, but that's not done in the industry. Very unprofessional on this person's part they have such an awesome capability here.
Live music was good as well as the view. This place is just pretentious and trying to be something it is not because they are on a 17th floor. The Vibe was pretty much dead for a Saturday night Good old tourist Orlando area. Got the Poke Tuna bowl and honestly it was the most boring blandest food that $22.50 can buy. I am giving the food two stars because my wife got the Katsu Chicken and that was much better but a small portion. There is an 18% service charge for parties of 6 or more. There are much better places to eat in Orlando.
Good for 1 drink (every person must be present to order AND carry their drink), and a great view. If you sit near the bar, you'll get service, sit on the patio area (the best view) you're on your own and spend 30 minutes standing in line for 1 drink per person.... I recommend going somewhere else.
The server was nice, but he took a long time to take our orders 🙃 not only that but at the end of the night, when we where waiting for our ckecks he made a mess, he had mistaken on each order. He mixed many of them (we were a big group) when we were about to be charged, he added things that no one ordered, but he changed that after we noticed it… The food was good though. Nice place but the fact that they were charging us $5 for a plate (per person) to cut our birthday cake (that we bought with us) is kinda weird. Like doesn’t make sense. Next time I’ll bring my disposable plates, lol. Drinks were good.
We came into bar 17 at Aventura hotel tonight at about 7 pm 10/21/25 and had to sit at the bar because there were absolutely no tables or couch areas to sit because there is a convention in town. We ordered a drink and some food but when there was a couch area available we moved and told the bar waitress. She got snippy and said you will have to close your tab out because there are different servers for different areas. So we closed it out and tipped them. We did move and the new server came over and took the glasses that were on the table from the people before and said he would be back, and we said ok cuz we want to order another drink and some food to go to. Well he never came back. What a disappointment because we do like the food and drinks, the atmosphere. We stay here every year we visit and this makes us not want to come back here. 🙁
I wish that I could leave 0 stars. My family and I travel every year April 24th to different destination. It unfortunately is the anniversary of me losing my 16 year old son. This year was supposed to be extremely bitter/sweet my daughter's boyfriend called and ask could he propose to my daughter on that day while all the family was together. I loved the idea because for the last 8 years that date has brought nothing but pain to my family and I. I called immediately to book a rooftop restaurant because he wanted to propose at sunset. I decided to go with this ons although I was told they don't offer private events nor do Reservations. I was told that as long as i arrive early enough that I could get seating. I arrived at 530pm and spoke with the black manager with the dreads who held the proposal cake in an isolated area until i arrived back to the restaurant. My family of 15 began to arrive and my niece began setting up a small section in the back of the restaurant with rose petals where he could propose. The rude manager told her to move out of the walk way. Which she did. He then walk back by and called her hard headed even after she moved out of the way. I was livid because the videographer only was r Booked until 8pm and the sun was preparing to set. Meaning we had to find an alternate proposal plan within minutes. That manager literally ruined the biggest day of my daughter's life. My sister and father ordered more than $150 worth of food and drinks. I of course canceled my $100 order. The food was very basic said other family members and the service sucked × 100 FYI. Thank you Jesus we were able to find a decent spot near the parking lot and improvised to ensure my daughter got her proposal. It wasn't the fairytale proposal with the sunsetting we all had hoped for.
When we went there were three groups of people totalling 7 people. It was an hour and a half until close. No one else was up there, but after 20 minutes not one person came over to offer service. We decided to walk out after being ignored (the other groups were ignored too). On the way out they cheerfully said to have a good night. I asked why no one served us and they said they decided to close early and we should have known. Rude employees, non existent service. We won't be back.
I'm staying at the hotel for four days and decided to give this a try. The view is beautiful but the service sucks. Can't speak to the quality of the food or drinks because I was never served. It was busy but not insanely so when I got there and took a seat at the bar. There were four staff members there (a woman and three guys), and not a single one acknowledged me, even just to say, "Hi, we'll be with you in a moment." I grabbed a menu and sat with my credit card out in full view and waited patiently... for over ten minutes with nothing said to me. Several times staff came and grabbed glasses or other items from the station in front of me but left without a word. If I had even gotten a single greeting or acknowledgement I would have been happy to wait longer, but with everyone else around me being served it felt like I was being deliberately ignored. I finally just left and went somewhere else. My husband stopped by the same bar the previous night with his friends and told me he'd had the same experience. Go elsewhere. Literally anywhere else on Universal property.
Staff doesn't seem to care who comes in or not. Unprofessional. Took me some time to find who can help and that person didn't even want to help.
This was our first time to this restaurant. We got up to the top and it said seat yourself, so we did. We waited and waited for a server. Finally a bartender walked by with a to-go bag for another table. We stopped her to ask how we order drinks and food. She said the section we were in doesn’t get service. We have to order to-go from the bar. So we did. First off let me say this, for $90 I would expect the food to be good and at least have flavor. The burger was just like getting one from Applebees (which even they have more flavor). The baos were not the best. The shrimp one tasted old. They forgot my cake I ordered and I never did receive it by the time we left, even though I paid for it. The cheese plate was hot because they put it on top of the burger box in the bag. Really the only reason they are getting 1 star was for the view.
Views were awesome! But the brown haired lady bartender was so rude for no reason it really ruined it all for me. Even after I was so nice to her lol. Oh well, bartending isn't for everyone and she will realize that eventually or already has! Wouldn't come back if I knew she was working. Wish I caught her name so I could put it here.
I dined here last night and got a chicken Caesar salad and a glass of wine. I have been sick all night and morning, and am pretty sure I have food poisoning. My partner ate everything I did with the exception of the salad and is fine. The service was also terrible; it took 20 minutes for our waiter to get to us and there was a strange sewage smell. I would not wish this place on my worst enemy.
Stayed at the hotel to start our honeymoon. Everything was great. We decided to have dinner and drinks the last night at the roof top bar. There were 3 “managers” standing at the entrance. Apparently there was an event. You would expect these managers to greet you as you come in but they just STARED at us. It was the most awkward experience and made us feel so uncomfortable. We said something to our bar tender who said it’s very normal for them to stand there, not greeting anyone not helping any bar staff or servers. I’ve never ever seen anyone in a management position be this unwelcoming. I work for a Fortune 500 company in customer service and never could I see any manager or person in our company treat any customer this way. I almost felt like they were security looking for a criminal and we were those criminals! What totally did it for us is when they called our bartender away for a meeting. It was absolutely bizarre. Maybe these managers are newer in their roll but if I were their upper management I would take a visit to see what they actually do! I want to reiterate that the bar staff and food were incredible but the managers were very unwelcoming especially “Erica” so just be prepared if she is practicing her security roll again!
