New Punjab Indian Restaurant Orlando Reviews
Everything was absolutely delicious! The veggie salad was fresh and perfectly balanced, the veggie biryani was full of flavor, and the butter chicken was rich and mouth-watering. The naans were soft and fresh, and the raita was truly mind-blowing. Highly recommended! Tried to take pictures, but the butter chicken , naan & Raita didn’t survive 🤭 Everything was too delicious to wait! We also visited a few other places around the area despite their good reviews. Unfortunately, the food quality and packaging were not good at all. We ended up spending more money there, but the taste was nowhere near as good.
We Had the chicken vindaloo with garlic naan and hubby got the butter chicken. Service was phenomenal and the food was better!!! Pricing is more than fair for the portion size. (Ate all the chicken before remembering I should take a picture, there was around a breast n a half worth of meat)
Authentic Indian taste. Very good food with good service. Very near to Icon park. Must try this place for very delicious and tasty Indian food. Food served was fresh and warm and quite good portion. We have vegetarian food there and it was fantastic. I love to go again at this resto.
The place was reserved for a private event starting later, but there was a table available. So before the guests arrived, all the attention was on us and it lasted for almost our entire visit. It was excellent, attentive staff and great food!
Food was good. We felt there was less meat than usual in biryanis.
Due to having so many desi restaurants in Orlando It is very confusing to find right place to eat Desi food . Let me help you find a place where you will not be disappointed but will be delighted “New Punjab Restaurants “ and if you are lucky you may be greeted by Nimrit gee the most courteous helpful and happy server. The Dal makni yummy, kadhi pakora you would lick the pot, bhindi masala like hand picked bhindis delicious my favorite cholay bhaturay as expected from Punjabi restaurant. Nimrit gee got doodh patti chai Karachi style on our wish. Thanks for the great food and service 🙏 So the after effects tell the truth.perhaps they were out of dal makhni so they washed the pot and served us the dal as I didn’t find any solid piece of dal! Same story with kadhi, next day they must have made the fresh one. Cholay gravy was looking good but a can of chick peas was added in the gravy . Next day we all got diarrhea But fact remains Nimrit G served every thing with lots of love.
2nd visit in 3 days. They have the best Daal Tarka in USA. Naan are also the best and super soft. both times Jaysle served us and super nice.To be honest being a foodie if you are visiting Florida and craving desi food this is your place. It serves authentic food, and everything tastes the way it is supposed to. The service is phenomenal, and the portions are good. Their NAAN just melts into your mouth. We were the first customers, as we went right after it opened, and the food was fresh to order and came very quickly. The appetizers also tastes very authentic. Also forgot to mention do not miss their awesome chai.
We found this hidden gem in the late evening while driving past tons of busy, packed restaurants along International drive. Although we arrived too late to dine in, we ordered our meals to take back to our hotel. The sweet server neatly packed plates, utensils, and napkins for us. We ordered butter chicken, tikka masala, and tandoori chicken along with garlic naan. All of it was so fresh and amazingly delicious! It was so good that my daughter ate leftovers for breakfast! I am looking forward to dining there on our next Orlando visit and trying the Chef's special chicken.
I recently visited New Punjab Indian Restaurant with Friends and Family on International Drive in Orlando, and it was a great dining experience overall. First, there was a decent amount of parking, which is always a plus. As for the food, we tried the Kadhai Chicken and Butter Paneer Masala, and both dishes were absolutely amazing—packed with flavor and cooked to perfection (Forgot to click Pics). We also started with Chaat Papdi, which was delicious and a perfect appetizer. The main courses were served with a small bowl of rice, which was a nice touch, and we paired everything with Garlic Naan, which was fresh and flavorful. We ended our night with Pistachio Kulfi which was not too sweet and tasted delightful. The food quality and taste were excellent, and the portions were just right. I’d definitely recommend this place for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine when visiting Orlando.
Absolutely authentic and delicious! I found an article about this gem in a Trip Advisor online search. We decided to visit here and try it out . Definitely was worth the drive. The owners are very friendly and make you feel at home. The place was clean and our entire meal was so good. The spices and flavors are so different from American cuisine. We will go back and highly recommend.

The food is phenomenal and the flavors blend well together, our waitress was responsive and kind as well as patient. If you come down to Florida you should take the time to visit.

The New Punjab restaurant was absolutely fantastic! The food and atmosphere were both top-notch — as close to authentic Indian cuisine as you could possibly get, and certainly one of the best indian meals I’ve ever had. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making the whole experience even better. If I had to mention two tiny negatives, it would be that our plates were cleared while one of our party were still eating, and we weren’t offered a dessert menu. But honestly, the quality of the food more than made up for it — still a solid 5 stars from me!
We had a wonderful experience at this Indian restaurant in Orlando. The staff were very accommodating when we decided to change our order from to-go to dine-in, which we really appreciated. The sarso da saag and makki di roti are an absolute must-try — authentic, flavorful, and comforting. Highly recommended!
Insanely good authentic Indian restaurant. The only decent Indian restaurant in Orlando. Being British we have always been dubious about Indian restaurants in Orlando because they never are as good or as authentic as the uk. But let me tell you… this Indian restaurant is the Shizzle! Authentic and so freaking delicious! 5⭐️ on all parts. Will defo be back again ❤️
The food was divine. We ordered lamb Rogan Josh, lamb masala and shrimp curry. Everything was delicious. The garlic Naan was so good we had to order more. The service was excellent, the staff were very attentive, bringing us more water every time we emptied the carafe. They even put the happy birthday song on the speakers and brought me a dessert when they heard it was my birthday! They made our night very special.
Wow. My family and I love Indian food, and we eat at different restaurants whenever we travel. This restaurant topped them all. Great value, great selection, our server was fantastic and gave recommendations, and over all the food was absolutely fantastic. We ordered the mixed veg pakora, butter chicken and malai kofta, and my only complaint was that I didn’t have a bigger stomach to order desert after. The rice was perfectly cooked, the naan was the best I’ve ever had, and the pakora was light and crispy and perfectly seasoned. Our entrees were delicious as well. If you’re looking for great Indian food at a great value near I-drive, don’t pass this place up.
If you are staying on International Drive you'll be aware that food options generally consist of 100 variations of glorified McDonalds. If you want some actual tasty food, come to New Punjab. I had poppadoms, Chicken Madras and a Garlic Naan, all fresh and tasty. I think I'll go back again tonight for some Tabdori. If you like your curry hot, make sure you tell the staff not to hold back. Being a US curry house they air on the side of caution spice wise so if you are into spicy food you'll need to green light the chef. This restaurant is a diamond in the rough. Make sure you stop by.
We came on holiday from NJ and took a chance with this restaurant. Environment was super friendly. Chef Gurmekh made our day and my parents and a 3 yr old daughter loved the food and ambience and a quiet time around 4:15 pm. Being vegetarian we ordered the dal tadka, tandoori roti and achaari aloo methi and it blended with our taste buds. Other members who attended us were also very hospitable. Chandni the receptionist had excellent soft skills.

the food is amazing tastes just like the food you get in Toronto Canada London England New York City New jersey! Amazing food and it’s true North Indian and Punjabi style food!!! Not this garbage South Indian or Bangladeshi food. This is made by the hands of a true North Indian, the chai is amazing too, made fresh and from scratch. Ordered chicken biryani chicken tikka masala and chefs chicken speciality and it was all amazing! Also came with a side of raw onions, and green chili! Reminded me of how Indian restaurants were! Way better than that Tabla spot. This is true Indian food!!!
Our party visited this Indian restaurant last week during our trip. The food was very nice, and the facilities were clean — it made a great first impression for our first visit. Unfortunately, we were overcharged on the bill and didn’t receive the correct refund, which was disappointing after what had otherwise been a pleasant experience.

They infoming us that wasn"t the hot spice food but was unfortunatelly was all very hot. Including the drink with spices. Not recommend and I'm not going back there. Menu was only 1 to 3 people. Very dificcult to choice and discuss about the food.

The food was pretty good and portions were also ok. Unfortunately, there was a big downside - we had a voucher from our holiday company giving 20% off, the lady serving said the restaurant was not the new taste of punjab, just taste of Punjab, so they would not honour the discount. When we walked outside, sure enough in big neon lights the sign says New Taste of Punjab. So they kept a generous tip plus the 20% discount. I suspect they know we're holiday makers so creaming as much money out of tourists as possible. Overall, a good curry but left with a sour taste in the mouth!
