They're quick but lack the customer service skills. There was miscommunication at the speaker and when i mentioned something was missing they pulled out my order ticket told me I wasn't charged for it,which was not my argument. I asked for them to add it and I'd pay. They said no. They didn't have a register to do it and I would have to go around and order it. 7 cars waiting. The supervisor yelling what the other girl said even more rude and told me to get out of the way and order again.

This one has a two Lane drive through so it moves nicely. Besides the person taking our order and having to correct them a few times, it's a McDonald's. You get the food you're expecting and if you like a big Mac you know what it'll taste like.

I only give this mcdonalds a 4 star. If their workers were more polite when serving your food. My daughter and I go here often. Food is almost always fresh, but some of the workers aren't very nice. If ur going late at night, expect 2 wait in line awhile.

Unacceptable and wrong. Brown lettuce on a McChicken. They were really slow today and backed up so I waited and did a mobile order. I went inside after parking and waiting for curbside after 15 minutes then saw they were backed up so I went back out and waited. Then went to go eat and opened this up as a nice thank you for waiting patiently. 10/18/22 edit: went back for lunch it was nice, fast in the drive thru and exactly as I ordered now. It's fast food, but I do enjoy the sausage McMuffin with egg. 8-30-2025: Very slow, they seem to be understaffed, which indicates a management problem. My Sausage and Egg McMuffins were Luke warm and slapped together. I'm gonna try Wendy's next time.

Drive through visit only. They took 3 cars to our 1 on the split lane ordering system. We used the app. Thankfully, that went smoothly. They got our order correct, but it was a 20 minute drive through experience.

Seriously takes way too long everytime. As a doordash driver the wait is usually 45mins to and hour for the order to finish.

We went through the driveway at 8:58 pm. All the lights to the outside of the building were out making you think they were not open. The girl that took our order was rude and spoke very short. When we get to the window to pick up our food the hours on the window state the are open till 12 am. We ask the girl when they close and she didn't want to answer. Then she finally did. They are open till 12. Yet they had all their lights shut off. Apparently they do this all the time. Thinking people will not go there if they think they are closed. If you don't want to work quit. Stop complaining about having to work when you make $15 an hour when other people make less.

We ordered two coffees. One with sugar, one without. When we asked which was which the worker said they didn't know and guessed. They were wrong. Soo, that's a big deal for diabetics. The worker was unbothered and just shrugged Then after waiting five minutes they came out and told us they were just starting to make our food but it would be a while because they were doing maintenance.

Cold food long wait's in the drive through waiting multiple times for several minutes for someone to say be right with you only to wait for another few minutes to place order for them to forget the drinks and had to remind them, iF it weren't for My daughters I wouldn't ever go back. I don't eat fast food maybe once a month and I decided to grab a few double cheeseburgers no salt yes that is an option, extra pickles and onion for My youngest cause she likes pickles but gets nuggets. No pickles whatsoever no extra onions and was barely warm, gave me diarrhea 🤢

Ordered through the drive through and was told to pull forward to wait. Girl brought out our food and handed it to us without moving at all, I had to open the car door and get out of the car to get out food while she stood by the door looking at us like, "come and get it". I should not have to leave my vehicle for drive through. Then she proceeded to walk out into the parking lot to bring someone else their order, so it was just very strange. Ordered a mcdouble and there were no condiments on it at all, just burger and cheese. Still not the worst McDonald's experience as my expectations were never high, but still annoying.

Without question the grossest McDonald's I ever walked into. Trash cans overflowing, trash all over the floors and the men's restroom looked as if it hadn't been cleaned for days. Food was decent and not too long of a wait, but never a place I'd sit down in to eat.

Place is a joke. Waited almost 15 minutes for a Cheeseburger happy meal, double cheeseburger , and small fry. Fries are still partly raw. Car hop tried to give me a happy meal that had already been handled by a different patron. Had to wait another 10 minutes for the replacement meal. Got nothing but an excuse from them.

If you love waiting a long time at the drive thru, this is your place. Attempted to get a Coke today through the drive thru. There was exactly one vehicle ahead of me. After waiting 8 minutes for the vehicle ahead of me to be served, I drove off. Too long to wait at what is supposed to be “fast food”.

Stood unnoticed at counter for close to 20 minutes, after attempting to use the in restaurant kiosk, and mobile app. Asked if there was a manager available, was told there was, yet no one came forward. Discovered later, before leaving that "Brandon" was the manager, as well as the employee who had told me there was a manager available, yet he did nothing to acknowledge the length of time I had waited. Instead, after he prepared the 2 Sundaes I'd requested, with the items in hand, he continued to assist another employee at the drive thru window. Irritated, I asked if I could have the Sundaes I had paid for, nearly 10 minutes earlier. Brandon smirked and said, "ih you didn't want spoons?" and then he grabbed two straws and handed me the items, grinning. The drink area (self serve) was out of napkins and lids, and had trash on the drink counter area and floors. Many happy childhood memories shot to heck by one employee. Not lovin it.

35mins to get through the drive through. Couldn’t leave because I mobile ordered and the payment already went through. Ordered a jalapeño QPC, they added extra, like a ridiculous amount. The receipt says no jalapeños. Must be out of spite. 8 times out of 10 they mess up my orders with not looking at the tickets for item removals or conveniently items are completely missing. Three different consecutive orders, they forgot medium fries. Hard to find competent workers I suppose.

Just stopped to grab lunch for the dogs and got myself a large fry. This is what I got for the fry. Seriously? That's the best you got? And the girl at the drive thru asked me to pull into a parking space cuz they were making fresh fries. Never again.

I will be giving up on this location. It was great. Went to the drive thru all 3 cars that were in line ahead of me were moved to the side. I was the last car in line was asked to pull into one of the spots reserved for mobile order. I asked why as there was Noone behind me the snotty response was "because I asked you too". I could see not waiting at the window if others were behind me that could be served. However that was not the case. I hope Wendy's has better service as that is where I will be going from now on.

Unfortunately, they are yet another establishment who does not respond to customers with legitimate complaints about a bad experience. Was lucky enough to order 2 burritos, which is becoming hard to do since they always seem to be out. Unfortunately, one of them was served with the shell completely ripped ope. Which could clearly be seen through the wrapper. Sent in a complaint to corporate, which was forwarded to the local franchisee who ignored the problem and never contacted me to make it right. The indoor dining area is often dirty and smells like sewer.

Ordered a crispy chicken. It was so dark. The worker said it was because the didn't change the oil.The door we came in was locked and couldn't get out.

If I could rate as a 0 Star I would! I ordered a simple breakfast meal, drove to 1st window where the cashier looked at me and just walked away wiping a tray down (very rude). Finally she came back and I gave her a $20 and she gave me my receipt and change. Normally I do not have an issue with change ( I am there several times a week), but as I started pulling forward I see that she rang it as I gave her $10, not a $20 and screwed me for $10. I could not back up as another vehicle pulled in, so I mentioned it to person at 2nd window. She got a manager and said I would have to wait until they counted the drawer. I told her I did not have the time to wait and to please just let me have my meal so I can get to work on time. I was told by the manager that I was "not a nice person" as I said they need to have more competent staff working the window. Facts speak for themselves. I know people make mistakes, but the way the manager handled it was terrible. As a result I will never go there again and hope they enjoy the $10 they screwed me out of... BTW this is the first review I have ever done because I was so frustrated with this store...

I have visited Owego McDonald's for breakfast frequently since 2020. In the past two weeks, I have been twice and each visit resulted in me sitting at the drive through for MANY, MANY minutes (5+). I was told last week that the trigger to alert staff that there were cars waiting was not working. I was however able to order at the window when I pulled up to inquire. This morning, there were FIVE cars, including mine, waiting. I was able to extract myself from the non-moving line I was in and pulled around. I honked to get attention from staff and was IGNORED. One woman LOOKED AT ME AND CONTINUED ON WITH MAKING COFFEE. What is wrong with the management of this facility? If you aren't making enough to maintain equipment, that's a problem. If you can't staff your restaurant, that's a problem. These problems need to be addressed by MANAGEMENT.

This McDonald’s is probably the worst fast food place I’ve ever been it’s supposed to be fast but it’s the slowest service I’ve ever had and on top of that them workers were rude and had a lot of attitude and the guy making fries was the slowest one it took him 1-3 business days to fill one fry box I waited for an hour and a half to walk out with nothing but yk what that’s ok because my baby Wendy’s came in clutch and they had fast food

The lady at the windows was quite rude. I asked for mustard packet which they said they don't have, and that getti g mustard on anything would be a lunch thing. Sausage biscuits and mustard is a thing. So either all of Mcdonalds has this wrong, or just this store. Really not interested in finding out. Won't be back.

Doesn't know how to alternate the lane in the drive thru your best bet is to stay on the inside lane because it seems to be far too difficult for them to comprehend. Did not get a receipt when I paid nor did I get all the food I ordered. Great place to get 1 thing at a time if you are going to order 2 meals you might want to go inside.

For the last 2 years, the service at this McDonalds has just absolutely tanked. Be prepared to wait at least 10-15 minutes for your food even if no one else is in line inside or outside - order size doesn’t matter. Food is usually less quality than other McDonald’s.

The restaurant was temporarily closed today, but I ordered on the app and didn't know until I got there. The staff would look at me but not even say anything. Doors were locked. I didn't stick around and wait to see because I was in a rush. And I have no idea who to even contact. I'm hoping I get refunded.

What a dirty filthy place this was! The dining room was utterly disgusting there was trash everywhere! I can only imagine what the back looked like. I ordered my food online so I didn't see this conditions until I got there. Never will I return and pray I don't get sick.

We ordered in drive thru and the girl who took our order, Savannah, sounded annoyed that she had to wait on us, and was rude at the window. When we got our food, the sandwiches were barely warm and the hash browns weren't cooked.

The bathroom was disguising, the dining area was dirty and the entire place was dirty French fries all over the kitchen floors dining floors the drinking fountain was really dirty there was 5 employees at the time on Sunday October 12 at 4:03 pm

I don't know about anyone else having this issue, but everytime I order food for pick up or through door dash, the food is either missing entire portions or squished because the staff have crammed everything into the bag. Staff need to do wayyyy better packing the bags and verifying that the orders are correct.

I have a strict diet due to allergies and every time I come here I order the same thing: a large 2 cheeseburger meal only ketchup, as I am allergic to onions and pickles. And about 95% of the time when I come here I end up with one or the other, and sometimes both on my sandwiches. Which then leaves me only able to eat the fries, and being 7 months pregnant just trying to get a quick bite to eat after a closing shift at work before bed, I can’t only be eating fries. I’m lucky I always check my sandwiches before biting into them.

They screwed up my order again. I ordered and was charged for two burgers without meat. Instead I received do hamburgers without meat. I had to bring them back to the store and I had to wait a very long time for them to remake my sandwiches. They did not offer me a refund or free merchandise. They just made me wait a very long time to get my cheese burgers without meat remade.

Every single time I've come here without fail I've been asked to wait more than 10 minutes, 2 drinks and 2 sandwiches. There is Nothing fast about this food.

Genuinely perplexed how they managed to take nearly 40 minutes to assemble my 2-item order and still somehow managed to serve me lukewarm nuggets and fries that were burnt, cold, and stale all at once. I was one of two people in line when I arrived, with no one in the lobby. Inside is frequently dirty, always multiple menu items unavailable, parking every order regardless of size which only slows the process down. Staff seems to be poorly directed by incompetent management. Update 6/18: Stopped by tonight to pick up my mobile order. I was the only person in the drive thru. Took 15 minutes for someone to even be able to answer the speaker box, at which point the employee informed me there were only two people working. It was another 15 minutes at the window before I received my order. I want to be very clear, I DO NOT blame the workers for this. I've worked fast food and other food service jobs and I know it's physically impossible for two people to keep up with all the work and customer demands. If I hadn't already ordered, I would've left to make their jobs easier, but as there's no way to cancel an order for a refund, I was stuck. The girl working the window the past couple times I've stopped by is always super nice and I felt genuinely bad for adding more work to everyone's shift. You have to wonder what management is (or isn't) doing that this seems to be a routine occurrence at this location. I hope the employees working tonight are eventually able to move onto jobs where their efforts are valued and they're shown respect by their employers and customers alike, they're doing the best they can with what management is giving them for little to no reward.

Ordered a breakfast burrito and coffee at the counter. Usually this store has burritos marked unavailable so I was excited to get one. Stood in line with everyone waiting for their food. Eventually told they couldn’t make a burrito and they refunded the amount back to my card. Not sure why this store has trouble making burritos. They might as well remove it from the menu if they can’t stock what’s needed like other locations can. Previously had this store cancel an app order by email while I waited for them to bring it out to the car because they couldn’t make the burritos.

The drive thru is a joke, they always have you pull ahead, and then they bring out the food, they always forget something in your order, forcing you to drive back around and go inside to complain. The same when dining in, they always forget something in your order, forcing you to go to the counter. Where they ignore you, until you yell and get there attention. Pretty pathetic.

The worst mcdonald's experience I've ever had. The bathroom was disgusting, the kitchen was filthy with food all over the floor, the ice machine empty, the fries cooked in month old grease (brown burnt fries), the burgers were cooked on a dirty grill with blackened remnants covering them, and the soda wasn't mixed right. Absolutely atrocious experience, the wife had to throw her food out.

DO NOT COME HERE unless there is not a SINGLE SOUL in the drive thru, or if you want to wait 20 minutes minimum. This McDonald’s needs, and I mean NEEDS, to figure out how to hire more workers. There are only ever 2 workers in the entire building at any given time, and they lose hundreds of sales an hour because people join the line and end up leaving when they don’t want to wait 30+ MINUTES for their “fast food”. I personally witnessed at least fifteen cars join and leave the drive thru line without spending a dime because of the wait time. I have no idea how this location has lasted this long and unfortunately I don’t think it will ever change until they inevitably close or change management.

Waited for 15 minutes in the drive thru and didn't even get a hello. The drive thru was open and it was just taking 15-20 minutes between orders. Last time I was here it was also incredibly slow. Maybe hire some folks or something. I just went to Wendy's across the road.

I used to love this McDonald’s ever since I was a kid. This place is extremely terrible now, I got breakfast the other day and my muffin was black and hard while my sausage was hard and the egg was slimy. We waited a half hour to get our food and it turned out like that. We also did not get the drinks we paid for. Most people wait in line for 30 minutes and then leave. Half of the time the employees are rude and arrogant. Managers of the Owego McDonald’s you should be ashamed of yourself. It’s called fast food for a reason. Stop sucking people out of their money. This place sucks so bad. It doesn’t matter if you order in the morning, afternoon, or evening, they always take forever, mess your order up, and are rude. I ordered breakfast on the mobile app long before they quit doing breakfast and got to the place and had to wait behind two cars. No biggie. I was in line for a half hour and by time I got to tell them my order number they said “we stopped doing breakfast”. I just don’t understand how they can be so incapable. It is actually astonishing how bad the service is. They have somehow managed to turn fast food into let’s draw out the clock and see if anyone is willing to stick around food. So many people are waiting in line and just end up leaving. It’s insane. Just please go somewhere else. You may think “oh, McDonald’s will be quick”. Wrong. If you are a manager here, you should be ashamed and shouldn’t sleep at night.

It took over half an hour to get our two bags of pre-packaged apple slices and a sundae. People who ordered cooked meals and came in after us got their order before we did. The staff seemed to be paid for giving each other slaps on the back for a job, not very well done. I was worried that this McDonalds would be my final resting place after the wait time we experienced. If I could leave a review with zero stars, I would.

The condiments we ordered were missing… our food was cold and the order was incorrect… For example, I ordered extra pickles. I got two pickles. My child’s fries were missing from their happy meal. Sadly, Mcdonalds has become the worst fast food restaurant out there. There seems to be no orginization. No one who stays out front anymore and the customers waiting to order are completely ignored. Food comes poorly wrapped, barely put together. Staff serms frustrated and overwhelmed. I think by adding so many different items on their menu it's made it impossible for the staff. They were do much better when they stuck to burgers, fries and shakes.

Worst franchise in Uostate Ny I pulled up when there was a car at the window and two cars at the two Kane ordering kiosks. After 5 mins of nothing I decided to start timing the line. Guy before me waited at least 8 minutes to order (that is lap 1…from waiting until I started timing it when they came into the intercom to take his order. Lap 2 was from when I was told “I’ll be right with you” to getting to ne. Lap 3 was how long it took to take my money Lap 4 was how long I waited to get my food. I no side was sparsely populated. I watched 4 cars give up. I asked the teenager if they were short staffed and she said no. But mentioned the manager is slow….no kidding! The Ubers need to replace that manager. October 8 2025 around 6-6:45 timeframe. Do better cause we ain’t loving it.

Waited 15 minutes in the drive thru, I was second in line, there was one guy in front of me that was at the speaker already, 15 minutes goes by, I decide ok let me try going inside. Inside there’s one solo person eating. I was fine with waiting, no problem, it happens, I then proceed to wait another 25-30 minutes for my food, so a total of 45 minutes tell get my food, but right before I got my food, they realize they don’t have one of the items I ordered… the lady that told me was someone who was just coming in and hadn’t even clocked in yet, she was the first person to ackledge I’ve been waiting, and something was missing… while I was waiting I did a loop around the sitting/eating area, the floor was more slippery then ice, idk if they clean their floors with straight Vaseline, or what… got the food, got to the car, opened it up, food was ice cold and older then dirt! Dry, cold, and old! I didn’t even eat my food, this is not the first time this McDonald’s has let me down, time and time again, worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to, I’ve been to busier McDonald’s with only 2 people working and it was faster, and better. This is the worst McDonald's to ever exist I waited 30+ minutes for my food. After I received my food I went back inside because they forgot my cookie box of 13 chocolate chip cookies and a 4 piece chicken nugget and I stood at the counter for 20 more minutes while other customers were still waiting for there food and waiting to order and not one employee came up to help anyone not once. And they have an employee eating the French fries as he was filling them (with no gloves or hairnet or anything) long story short an hour in McDonald's didn't get nearly half of my food and I walked out along with others. Their employees completely ignored everyone inside and they were in no rush to complete any order. To top it off, they threw the drink I ordered away right in from of me because it sat so long that it was warm. I've never seen anything like it at any other McDonalds. They also didn't get my kids order right, and we didn't bother getting that corrected as it would have taken even more time.

The drive thru service here is the worst I have ever had. I love local and have been coming here my whole life and over the last year it has gotten so bad. I have waited no less than 10 minutes for them to even ask for my order this year. I would drive off, but you can't just do that with mobile orders. It used to be great in the past. The owners need to fix this!

Ordering from this place was a joke. After waiting for 25 minutes, my wife had to go in to get our food which was sitting around. The sprite I got was mostly brown. My main meal, a 10 piece nuggets was missing and the few burgers we got were burned and missing the basic ingredients. Tried calling the location and someone picks up, then hangs up. Horrible.

This is the worst McD’s I’ve ever been to. I don’t blame the employees, there were only two employees for the morning rush. We waited 20 minutes for a simple order and when we went to use the men’s room, there were flies flying around and the urinal and toilet were filthy. Even the kitchen area had so much debris all around. The franchise owner needs to figure something out here, because it is not working.

My worst McDonald’s experience in years: 1. The bathroom was extremely dirty, and the trash was overflowing. In one of the stalls, there was no toilet paper, and nothing had been restocked. 2. The staff was incredibly rude. We waited for more than ten minutes just for a coffee. No one was attending the counter, and when we finally got our order, they messed up the coffee twice. • The first time, they added sugar by mistake, and even after correcting it, they gave us sugar again. 😳 • In the end, the coffee tasted like 80% water, 2% milk, and barely any coffee at all—it was like drinking cold boiled water. 3. Since this location was on our way to Canada, and we were already back on the highway, it wasn’t possible to return and complain. Plus, the final coffee was served to us by the manager. Even if we had gone back, it wouldn’t have mattered, as it seemed he purposely gave us watered-down coffee because we had already complained. It’s no surprise this location has a 3-star rating on Google. I hope a higher-up will take action. It’s not about the money we spent or the fact that everything ended up in the trash—what matters is their terrible attitude, which upset all of us and wasted our time. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I wish I could give them 0 star, even one star is too much for them! I will be following up on this matter very seriously. Poor coffee quality may not be easy to prove, but thankfully, the staff’s rude behavior and the fact that they never apologized even once for their mistakes can be reviewed through the cameras.

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD! I used to use this McDonald's every time I traveled from SC to Owego I'd stop here for breakfast. Done it for the past 6 yrs. I just traveled north again from SC on 8/17/24. The MORNING of 8/18/24 myself and my 77 yr old father went here for breakfast like we always do when traveling. We walked inside, and stood waiting AND waiting and waiting for service! Stood right at the counter where the registers are, everyone working there just kept it moving..glanced our way but kept doing whatever they were doing. We stood there for almost 15 minutes and I finally told my father okay let's get outta here!! I WILL NEVER EVER GO HERE AGAIN! We then went a little ways down the road and found a cute little red building and we went in and was seated and had a wonderful breakfast! It's a tiny little restaurant and it was a great meal! Glad we found it because McDonald's will NEVER again see us in it, what a crappy way to treat customers!! You guys SUCK! To anyone reading this AVOID this McDonald's and go down the road to eat at Little Rock Diner!! It's 5 minutes from this awful McDonald's! Breakfast is served all day and man their food is delicious! I'm including a picture of the place so you know where to go. Tell all of your friends too ☺️
