Such a great experience and lovely people

Small town family restaurant. The breakfast choices are all quite good, as evidenced by the full parking lot on Sunday mornings. Staff is friendly and fast. No complaints.

Our waitress was great, dirty plates were cleared, drinks refilled without having to ask. The pie was amazing! Will definitely go back if in the area again.

The cook that made my food did a fantastic job his name was Blake, my plate was loaded with fresh hot food and it was done at a quick pace, he was never off beat and on top of his tasks. Definitely deserves a raise!

We came in last Thursday night for fish fries. Our server Jessica was amazing. Very knowledgeable of the menu, friendly , and never let our drinks go empty. The pies are huge pieces and so good. We will definitely be back. Thanks for the great food and server.

Oh Nellie's always my first choice for breakfast with the family. Food always delicious and fresh and reasonable prices for a family of four, and they cater too picky eaters like my oldest daughter. Love the place.

Overall what a wonderful little restaurant! Great quality of food! And not to bad on the wallets. The food portions are massive!!! When I say Massive I mean ENORMOUS! Lol. The 🥞's take up a plate! The sides of potatoes you get a huge as well! And the Ham slice was literally a half of ham! Thick cut! The server was friendly, and we didn't wait to long for our food, went at lunch time on a Saturday. No wait just walk in find a seat and sit down. Got drinks right away. Waited maybe 15mins for food? Worth the stop and worth the wait if in Arcade ny.

I love the place I always stop for breakfast on my way to New York City. Food is very good and the people are great... country cooking at it's finest. They do a great job with pies too... Apple... Apple Crisp... Lemon and... Banana Cream are all my favorites. Stop in and plan to enjoy yourself, the food and the staff. Just a Happy once a month Customer.

The best part about this place is definitely the breakfast food which is amazing. The second best part is that all of the employees are always friendly and willing to help or answer questions you have. Lastly, the prices of this restaurant are great and it is never too crowded.

Went for a morning bike ride with some friends (9-26-20) and grabbed some breakfast at Nellie's. Food was fantastic and huge portions. I'd go back Ina heartbeat.

We stopped in for breakfast on our way through and I’m so happy we did. I had the most delicious vegetable omelet overfilled with veggies. Our food was served hot, service was great and my cup of coffee was the best I’ve had! Highly recommend!

Always enjoy eating there when I'm in town

I took my daughter here before her doctors appointment the other day because Theo's was closed and I told her we would stop here at some point and I am glad we did. The food was great and the waitress was very nice and it didn't take us long to get our food after we ordered it. We enjoyed seeing the animals that were displayed on the walls.

Remember the old mom and pop's restaurants back in the day when all the food was handmade and just really really tasted delicious? Well this is that place!! I loved everything I had! The service was wonderful. Atmosphere was great and the place was clean!!! I highly recommend this place to everyone!!!

This is a family restaurant with a home cooking style that doesn't disappoint. They have a simple salad bar with very fresh ingredients. Generous portions for breakfast. Brewed ice tea, not the fake fountain ones you get at most restaurants these days. The servers are very provfessional. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

I responding to a review from the last name Jones. This couple was completely rude and disrespectful to a few waitresses at this restaurant, I was at a nearby table and could hear the issue at hand, which was this couple. I had a wonderful time with great service and food. For the record the bathrooms were only out of order for a short amount of time! It's sad to see how rude these people were to these lovely waitresses and I was happy to see the owner sticking up for them! As someone who works in food service they handled this situation very well and way better than I would have. Kudos to them!!

My top favorite local restaurant, I have always enjoyed coming here! The food, atmosphere, customer service, and more is off the charts. My boyfriend is originally from Georgia, and he stated that this was his favorite restaurant yet up in here in NY! The burgers are HUGE, (and we are big burger lovers) and the food is just great! (May I add that there’s a SALAD BAR? 🩷) If I could rate this restaurant a 100, I definitely would. The atmosphere is so cozy and warm, the customer service is always so welcoming and sweet, prices are amazing, and food is just outstanding! Definitely recommend coming here with family and or friends. 🩷

Family friendly restaurant. I have a friend in this area and there are not a lot of choices to eat. This was a nice discovery, we have gone a few times now. I had seen others get the fish fry in the past, and it's always looked good. I was not disappointed. We each got the same with the salad bar added. I just don't see salad bars anymore and it was a welcome surprise. Her son is just 6 years old and they are very welcoming to children. He had a kids meal burger and practically picked the plate clean. He asked for just 1 scoop of ice cream for dessert and it was a very generous scoop. We did not have dessert, we got to go boxes for our leftovers, but the desserts looked amazing. Huge thick pies. Sorry no pics. I left my phone in the car. Next time

Very large portions. The ham steak is a MUST! We were there for breakfast, but because the pies looked ridiculously good, we got a slice of coconut cream and blackberry, to go We chose wisely! The service there was also wonderful. Highly recommend this place 😉

Where do I start? My wife and I walked in and the place was packed. Not an open table anywhere. Being our first time, we didn't know if a hostess would seat us or if we sat ourselves. A lady looked at us and just said, "It's gonna be a while." Ok, I thought, food must be good! About 5-10 minutes passed and a server walked by and said, "You can just seat yourselves." Um, ok, but no tables have opened up and the first lady probably should have said that just in case one did. A moment later, a table opened and another young lady said we could follow her over, she was going to wipe it off. She then took our drink orders. She quickly returned with drinks and said someone would be over to take our order. A few minutes later, the table next to us walked out. After listening to the servers chat, no one took their order. Janelle came and took our order. From that point, we have plenty of time to people watch and figure out what's going on. All I can say is what a disorganized mess! It seemed like it was everyone's first day on the job. People waiting forever to have orders taken, people not getting their checks. All the while, there's PLENTY of staff, they just didn't seem to have any systems in place. All doing their own thing, no one knew what the other was doing. Our food came out about 30 minutes later. In all fairness, our food was very good! I had the Monte Cristo and fries. My wife had chicken finger and fries. I didn't care that our server put the check down with the food, it just seems like you're rushing me. However, In this case, I was just happy I got one. Without the live show, I would probably have been upset about the wait, but the chaos was rather entertaining, I'm just glad I wasn't part of it. Now, to be fair, I did hear Jenelle say that 5 people were out on vacation. Hopefully that was the "A" team, if not, I'm not sure how this place has so many good reviews. Next time I'm in the area, I might try Theo's, across the street.

The food was good. The service was friendly, but there's a terrible odor of propane when we walked in and the whole time we were eating. The smell just made it a little difficult to enjoy the food and the restaurant.

This is a place to eat and run. Food is homemade good. Meatloaf sandwich was the best I have had, made with a thick slice of tasty meatloaf between two pieces of white bread and smoothered in brown gravy, served with fries. Biscuits in sausage gravy were good, not the greatest like in the south but good enough for tying over a hankering for it. Service was really fast and friendly. Stop by for a bite, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Great service. Food is a classic style American breakfast and lunch foods. Atmosphere is welcoming. Gotta do something about the flies though. Not that there was a lot but they are present. Not always easy to combat but there are measures you can take. Overall not a bad spot to eat though.

The good news is, the battered Fishfry was cooked perfectly, as well as the broiled fish my wife had. The macaroni salad was pretty good too, and the fries were ok for frozen. The not great part (for us, maybe your tastes are different) was the tartar sauce was made with sweet relish-too sweet. The coleslaw was way overpowered by celery seeds- honestly its all I could taste. Cool atmosphere, and staff were pretty good. The desert selection looked awesome, but didn't have any. Willing to give it another try.

All around good food, good service. I ate breakfast my wife said the salad bar was fresh and good! When I'm back around town I will definitely go again!

Breakfast Review: Me and the Guys stopped in traveling from PA, decided on this place for a good ole family style breakfast. Overall..very Good Food and Service. Omelette was really good! Bacon was Great! But I couldn't put the 5th Star on here cause the Home fries were borderline uneditable..sorry. but not a bad stop! (Water was 2.5 out of 5)

We got there right at opening and only 2 other people and it took over 35 to get our food. Home fries must have changed, they used to be better, kinda bleh. Kids love their pancakes and french toast though! Poached eggs and toast were good!

Many new waitresses, really miss some of the former staff, like Debbie, Margi and Sharon. As so, service has not been great, couldn't get orders right last 3 visits. I hope they catch on soon.

My sister and I stopped in for some lunch recently. We both ordered some breakfast instead and were glad we did. The omelettes were very good and the amount of food was great. The place was in need of a little overall cleaning but it was overall worth the stop. Our server was very cool. Her personally was perfect for the restaurant. If you are a hunter you will love the place. Animal heads mounted everywhere.

Drove 25 minutes because this place sounded wonderful. Our breakfasts were ok but nothing to write home about. We had an "everything omelet" and a "Nellie's breakfast '. The everything omelet was large but nothing special. The home fries were terrible. They tasted like they were made a couple of days ago then frozen! Nellie 's breakfast was ok also. The slice of ham was good with nice flavor and a nice size. As for the interior, it needs cleaned and a freshening. Bathrooms were gross. SOME of the pictures on the website are deceiving ! There combined breakfasts showing 1 person and a very large breakfast. This is just my 1st time impression. Maybe it was just a very off day. Finally our waitress was good and friendly and attentive.

Fish was good but all side dishes ranged from nasty for german pot salad to mediocre cole slaw. My friend with me said fries were good . A bit pricey but i guess they can get away with it in a one horse town with few choices. Not one employee wearing a mask !

This used to be my favorite place to get breakfast. The food is still good but the wait staff is awful now. There is only one good waitress there because they ran the other good ones out. The attitude from the owner and a couple of the waitresses made me not want to go back.

A word of caution: DON'T ORDER THE FISH FRY OR FISH PLATTER!! We were in Arcade for the day recently and decided to have dinner at a local restaurant before heading home. After reading the reviews for several restaurants, we decided to eat at Nellie's. *THE GOOD: A large menu selection and the service was excellent. Our server was pleasant and very attentive throughout our meal. And the extra thick chocolate milkshake ($5.75) was simply amazing!! It was so thick that the straw was useless and I had to eat it with a spoon. Possibly the best chocolate milkshake I've ever had. *THE NOT SO GOOD: We ordered a large fish fry ($17.00) and a Nellie (fish) platter ($20.75). Both meals looked delicious, but we quickly discovered that both fish dinners were absolutely tasteless. If you were blindfolded, you couldn't tell what you were eating. I suspect that they served a cheaper (and tasteless) fish like Cod and not Haddock fish. Some other customers made the same comment about their fish dinners, so that's a very real problem. We did tell the waitress about our tasteless fish dinners, but no compensation was offered. For what we were charged for the two fish dinners, don't waste your money. The next time we visit Arcade, we'll probably pick a different restaurant. If we do decide to visit Nellie's again, we definitely won't order fish dinners. Thanks for reading!

had to change my 3 month old baby on the bathroom floor because they don’t have a changing table. do better. how is it still possible to not have a changing table in a public place? I had half a mind to change her at an empty table. some nerve having high chairs and kids menu but no way for babies to have their diaper changed. won’t be back until they actually accommodate families.

I wrote a review before the new owners and said it was the best place to get fish I've changed my mind since then last night we went my fish was undercooked not just mine But also the person that I was with was also undercooked The breading was soggy I told the waitress And all she said was I'm sorry That's a lot of money just to be dishing out for something I can't eat I'd rather cook at home if that was the case. My whole fish was there I didn't eat. All I ate was the coleslaw I won't be going back for a while!!

I came in here for my first time ever, and I can guarantee I won't be coming back. When I first walked in, they asked me for my drink. And I thought that was great and I would be able to get my food ordered and given to me, but when I gave the waitress my order, I notice there was little girl working there. She couldn't be more then 7 years old. And then I was waiting 1 hour and half for my food and I didn't even get it... I just walked out.... I will never come here again.. everything is bad here... Also the prices was really expressive. Just for 2 eggs, 1 piece of bacon, 2 toast it was $11.95, not even worth it. Worst restaurant. And I have been to a lot of restaurants. So DONT GO HERE. My warning to you all..

If i could give a 0 stars I would. The place smelled bad, lots of flies on the tables, and some of the staff were very rude upon entering the restaurant. A waitress said “if you guys are eating, then SIT!!” But with a rude attitude. I’m not sure how it got such a high star rating. Please stay away from this place, do not recommend.

Just a down right disgusting time, food was gross, smelled like feces. Servers were filled with attitude and I’m pretty sure I saw a roach. Will make sure to never ever stop in again

Our lunch today was disgusting and it cost $30.The bacon on the BLT was hard as a rock. The german potato salad was thick and had a funny taste. The meatloaf had no taste and the gravy was salty. We will not go back.. Save your money go elsewhere I messaged the restaurant on Facebook ..letting them how we felt..wanted to let them know why we didn't say anything ....we didn't have time wait for another meal and we knew it was closing time.....but I was blocked before I could inform the of that

We ordered two fish Fry's husband wanted no salads the plate was filled with salads.the rolls were very old not fresh at all. Fish had a lot of batter but little fish. No bathroom. Place is dirty. I should call health department because if the a full run restaurant u need working restroom 🚻. When I said the rolls were old the guy that might own it got all upset
