IHOP Palm Desert Reviews
Overall it was a good experience. The food tasted good and the server was friendly. Is that we waited about 2 minutes after walking in to be seated even though there was no one in front of us we were just ignored for a lil bit. Lol but the food spoke for itself and changed our opinions on the empty restaurant my girlfriend and I were the only ones there besides another elderly couple. We went in on happy hour and got a delicious chicken sandwich and a yummy steak burger.
Been here cuple times love ihop but this time was really bad service and food no mams Even the manager said everything is ok I said no avocado smells bad and looks My spicy poblano omelette don’t look good and she replied ok you want another avocado I’m like nooo take it away lost my appetite and No sorry nothing 😡😡
We came in at 11:30 for breakfast. Our server/servers were great!! But when we ordered country fried steak and eggs, which we always order when we come here, it had like 👍 only 2 spoonfuls of gravy. When we asked for more gravy, after about 5 min it turns out that we have to pay for extra gravy because the manager says so! Our waitresses were arguing for us!! I mean how much could it cost to smother the steak ( as it says on the menu ) instead of literally 2 spoon fulls! Like I said we’ve gotten it here before and this was a big difference. We sent our plate back to show the manager and she said no.. we have to pay for it!!! Which we would have gladly done except they waited 5 plus minutes while our food was getting cold to hear this!!! We will absolutely NEVER come back ever. To be perfectly clear this was all due to the manager!!!!!!! The servers were amazing!! Nov. 5, 2022
Here visiting out of town for the weekend and my fiance and I came in for breakfast on Father's Day. We shared 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, sausage, bacon and hash browns. One plate only. We were literally there for 1.5 hours. Service was unbelievably slow. We didn't get our entire meal all at once and after finishing eggs and hash browns our 2 pancakes still hadn't come. At no point did anyone let us know WHY the service was slow. Getting the check was like pulling teeth. Beware....
It was not so busy but we waited a good 40 minutes because according to our waitress they only had three cooks. The table next to us got their order before us even though we order way ahead of them. The man was kind enough to complain to the manager about the king waiting time.
After months of terrible service and reviews, why hasn’t anything changed? I would assume the management and structure at this IHOP would have been re-analyzed or re-structured already. I Went in for breakfast today with my family and we had a very unpleasant experience. Low staff equals unhappy and stressed employees. It also leads to unhappy customers. Food came out late and cold. Only one waitress in the entire place. She was overwhelmed and forgot to bring us our coffees and silverware. Had to go ask for them. Meanwhile two other employees were chit chatting in the back while one did all the work. My husband’s breakfast sandwich was terrible and the biscuits were cold! This place needs go get it together!!!!!
Ordered turkey, stuffing and mashed potatos. The photo shows what I got. The potatoes were runny, stuffing lumpy and I don't even know how to begin to describe the turkey. Needless to say this slop was a far cry from the picture in the menu. To be fair I did tell my server I refused to pay and she alerted the manager. Manager apologized took the plate and asked I wanted anything else. I chose the pot roast. It was not too bad. Restaurant comped my meal so I give then credit for doing the right thing.
