In-N-Out Burger Pasadena Reviews
This is the gold standard of In-N-Outs. Everyone needs to appreciate the uniqueness and nostalgia of this location. Always good service so there’s always a long line. But they’re so organized that it moves along. Incredible place.
The best fast food restaurant ever. 👍🏻🍔🥤 A California goldmine.
When I used to come home after being stationed overseas, In-N-Out became a tradition to come home to because it's absolutely amazing. This location has great staff and I can't wait to go back!
Thank you, Lynsi Snyder and Staff. You all are amazing.
The food was a treat for this East Coaster. We were surprised at the small footprint of the location. There were maybe four parking spots and a line of 30 cars for takeout. It seemed well organized though. Staff went down the line taking orders. We opted to park across the street and walk up to the takeout window. It probably took 30 minutes to wait in line and get our food. It was worth the wait.
love me some in n out. I just wished there was someone mopping up the sticky floor and tables. thank goodness I had wipes I was able to wipe the table clean while I waited for my food.
In-N-Out always hits the spot. This location is no different. The burgers were fresh and tasty. The only issue with In-N-Out is they get busy then it takes awhile to get food. I would highly recommend getting In-N-Out since it’s better than its competitors. The price is also amazing.
We showed up around 11am and there were already close to 20 cars queued up in the drive thru! We miraculously found parking in their small lot and we're in line for a while—very busy for a Tuesday morning! I didn't use the bathrooms but there are some accessible by punching in a code. Food order was perfect and the staff is so nice and did so well under pressure! This location only has tables outside and they had options for wheelchair users. Tables were left fairly clean but some of the trash cans were overflowing by 12:30pm.
I had the flying Dutchman and it was hit and delicious. The young lady who took my order was so sweet and she went above and beyond for me. I was working security for the Rose Bowl for a l9ng shift and she took good care of my order. I wish I could remember her name. 100 stars for the team on NYE!
A California staple, with a timeless and familiar menu, consistently kind (and surprisingly quick) service. This particular location does suffer a bit from an awkward street design affecting their accessibility, but aside from that, it's the standard high quality that can be found at any In-N-Out.
Probably the cleanest In N out I’ve ever been too! And I’ve been to almost all of them! I have never seen a ladies room so sparkling and the food tasted so absolutely fresh!! It’s so refreshing to see such a fresh no trash on the floor no tampons tossed around! Whoever is cleaning that place deserves a pat on the back and more!
I just need to say this one thing. This location, the In n Out Burger on E Foothill, is life changing. I eat here every night. I have good laughs with my friends, delicious, delectable, and delicious food. I am in love with you. I would go in and out of you every day. You are perfect.
Delicious food, fast, and nice customer service.
Classic 1950's style In-N-Out drive-thru hamburger stand. Service and Food are perfect.
What can I say? I went to the nearest in-n-out near the hotel I’m staying at the Westin Pasadena. It’s about an 8 min straight-shot ride. It was all worth it! The best meal for under 12 bucks. You can’t get anything like that these days. In-n-out knows what’s up. I ate outdoors.
Great burgers and fries. The line is exceptionaly long but well worth the wait.
Pretty cool to go to the oldest standing In n Out!!! Food is good as always and the line moved quickly!!
There was a super long drive thru line, as per usual. We went to the window. It wasn't too bad of a wait time for how busy they were. We got a double- double and a protein style double- double with animal style fries. It was all delicious. No complaints.
Nice seating area, parking on nearby side street, just walk up to order
Food always good but lines are long and no parking spaces for eating on the car
Look, it's In-N-Out Burger, it's going to be a line, you're going to wait. But, the quality is always so good and they move surprisingly fast. And the staff is so kind they've always been very delightful every time I've been there so even though there's a wait it's worth it!
In and Out is always a good idea. The food is consistent and fresh.
Small drive thru location and expect very long lines, but as usual, food is great.
As always, In-N-Out lunch was as good as it always is at this location. Drive thru line can sometimes look long but these INO workers do an outstanding job quickly moving cars through while serving the absolute most reliable and delicious drive thru burgers & fries available!
Went to this In-N-Out Burger after going to the Rose parade. The place was well organized and definitely was ready for the crowds. They had a nice table set up in the second drive-thru with the condiments and stuff and they were handing out the food. They were getting cars through pretty quickly and they were also getting us guests that came and walked up in pretty quickly. Definitely was impressive to me how well they were prepared. Sounds like if they can prepare for this they can prepare for anything. I ordered a tomato wrap 3x3 with extra ketchup and it was perfect. Also had cheese fries. My wife had a grilled cheese animal style with extra cheese. No lettuce, tomato or pickle and it was just perfect. We both got the cheese fries and they were delicious. Definitely recommend this location. Their restroom was as clean as could be for the crowd that was there by far one of the cleanest restrooms in and out I've ever seen
According to Google, this is the oldest operating In-N-Out location; store #5. Drive Thru seems busy throughout the day, so we decided to park a street over and walk. Orders are taken at a small window. To me In-N-Out continues to stand by fresh and consistent burgers and fries, and this location definitely delivers in that aspect. For me, you gotta dine 'out' and have your meal fresh and seated at the tables rather in your car or elsewhere. I can't believe the pump out so much from that seemingly small kitchen. Will return!!
What can I say that hasn’t been said already. In-N-Out never disappoints. It is hands down one of my top favorite burgers in my home state of California. Anytime I go back home to visit, my first stop is usually at In-N-Out burger. The double double served animal style is the way to go!
A small location situated in a corner offers more a take-out rather than a sit-in. They offer POS and boast two lanes to fill orders. They are quick to get you in and out but be prepared to line up in the street. I had to circle the block because I didn't know this. The burgers were great.
The location provides drive-thru primarily and few outdoor seatings. Walk-in order is also available. Parking space is limited in the dining area, street parking is the best way if you wanted to do walk-in order and dine-in. This location also provides restrooms which are clean. Taste is always good and original! Staff are nice.
Visiting for 65 years. Same friendly service and great burgers. Shakes are underrated.
This is a rather small place. The lines are pretty long in the afternoon. They zipped right through them! Gotta love In n out! They have a great burger and even better service
In-N-Out in Pasadena, CA serves up classic, fresh burgers with quality ingredients that live up to the hype—juicy patties, fresh veggies, and crispy fries. Though parking can be a bit tight, the tasty food more than makes up for it. Inside, the atmosphere is casual and welcoming, ideal for friends and families to gather. It's a go-to spot to enjoy good food, friendly vibes, and a quintessential In-N-Out experience!
I’m from Wisconsin, so wasn’t aware this location wasn’t a dine-in option. I went too far and cut-off a driver waiting in line by mistake. Staff quickly noticed and asked me to go back. The line can get pretty long here so plan accordingly. In addition, there are only about 2-3 parking spots, so if you’re going to eat there better find another parking spot. The food was great, fast, and got my kids stickers
The GOAT. A family favorite spot for a quality burger and great price.
I love the fact that the fries are fresh. NOT FROZEN. And the burgers are thin but delicious and just right. Delicious milkshake, I just wish it had less sugar.
A California classic!!! My party had the double-double (meal 1) cheeseburger (meal 2) and hamburger (meal 3)! The food came extremely quickly - would recommend using the drive thru as there was a big line for walk ins (we arrived at a bad time). Lots of outdoor seating for those waiting and wanting to eat! Food was delicious we had a shake and pink lemonade and both were divine!! Would highly recommend visiting for this unique dining experience!
Always excellent food, and service is impeccable every visit. The only thing about In-N-Out is that its almost always on a corner and parking in next to non existent. Drive theu is fine and getting quality food at their prices to go is definitely and plus. Sometimes its nice to sit inside and relax with such good food. Some locations have fine space inside to dine, other locations are settup for drive-thru predominantly. Pic your location according to what you are looking for in the dining expirience. The food will be there and served hot whichever way you want to eat it.
In-n-Out, never disappoints! Drive thru line usually goes into street and down a lil ways, but always worth it. This one is pretty small and not much parking at all. They have a walk-up window with a few bench and tables to eat at.
We had double-double meal and milkshake here. Burger was great but the fries was kinda dry. Also they have drive-thru and patio. It was pretty clean place and stuff was very friendly. Thanks for everything! 🍔🍟
Great service and food quality you come to expect from this family-owned food chain. At this charming location (over 70 years old in 2026) there is not a protected area for pedestrians to line up and order. If there are more than 5-7 people queued up, and you have a car, no matter the length of it I advise you wait in the drive thru line. It’s more safe and I think car orders might be prioritized when it’s very busy.
The move here is definitely to go park on a nearby street and walk over unless you're really okay with sitting in your car for a 30 car, several block long drive through line. The burgers were good, the fries were a bit underdone and cold which was surprising considering the business and turnover. The shake was pretty standard so can't complain for the price. The service was very friendly! There's about 6 or so tables at the back where you can sit if you don't mind it being kind of dark.
Probably one of the authentic fast food dresser that you must try when you come to LA and everything here is customisable, including how well done the patty is and the fries as well, i.e. well done patty and/or light fries Personally, I think the animal fries are pretty good if you didn’t order a burger, but a bit over kill, if you get both double double burger and animal fries. The bun is toasted which elevates the flavour Will definitely come back and get more of this! ❤️
I have been waiting to try this place for years. I'm so glad to finally get it. It was so good we went 2x. Lol ☺ I got a double animal style combo the 1st time and the 2nd time a single animal style with animal style fries. I prefer cheddar cheese vs American sliced cheese when it comes to cheese on the fries. Other than that it was great! And you have to try there milkshakes. I tried the napoleon.
I'm dropping a 5/5 for this spot. I went last night for funsies - kept expectations low given everything other reviewers have pointed out. They must have done some sort of reorganization because I ha…
I always get 4 by 4s here and I love it! The staff are also really friendly. And sometimes 3 by 3s.
Excellent animal style burgers and cheese burgers but they are slow due to large amounts of people attending the restaurant but good food good service cash or credit cards no ebt card so far.

The wait is worth it. Good prices. I always get the cheese burger which i love the most. The team are friendly.

This location does not have an in door dining room, but there are outdoor tables. There is a walk-up window for ordering. When we went, the line was maybe 5 people long at the walk-up window, and it took a long time to get to the front and actually order. Might have been faster to sit in the drive-through line. When we finally got our order, one of the items was made incorrectly and had to be reworked. Other than that, the food was good. There are not many places you can feed 2 for under $20 these days, but in n out is one of them .
Not the best in n out in the area compared to the one in Alhambra. Unfortunately it is the closest location to us. Service can range from decent to subpar - though I sympathize given how small this location is. Staff seems very pressed and squeezed on time, so the burgers and fries suffer depending on how busy. Expect longer wait times when the vehicle in front of you decides to put in multiple family orders.
It was about an hour from the time I got in line until I got my food on my last visit. This location has an awkward double-drive thru layout and even without any real parking there is usually a long walk up line these days. Their food is still good, of course, or they wouldn't have these crazy lines.
The aroma of grilling burgers fills the air, promising a delicious experience. A perfectly cooked patty, juicy and flavorful, is a true culinary delight. Topped with fresh ingredients and nestled between soft buns, it becomes a symphony of textures and tastes. Sharing a good burger with friends and family creates cherished memories around the table. It's a simple pleasure that brings joy to any occasion.
I have been coming to in and out for over 30 years and this is the first time today 17 July 2025 that I got and old bin that was breaking in my hands while eating it. Come on in n out we know the economy is taking a toll on everyone but you have made millions from is little ppl tho can do better than this. Spending that money on the burgers should have given me my moneys worth. Well not tonight it sucked ! This was awful and by the way times are hard for us little ppl . Fix this please !
Its a small In and Out. The food is good as always, But they do take a while making your order. Theres only sitting outside and about 5 parking spaces you would have to find parking in a streets near by.
Its a small but efficient location. Very limited parking maybe 8 cars total, but it does have the drive thru.
We didn’t wait in the drive thru. We just walked up to the window. It was around 4:00 on a Friday and we expected it to look super busy. But it didn’t however it took about 20 minutes to get our meal. They didn’t take it accurately so to wait for a replacement took another 15 minutes. They have clean restrooms and there is a small sitting area so you could sit and enjoy your meal IF you can squeeze into one of the 3 parking spots. The meal was worth it. Of course you have to eat the fries first because they get cold instantly and taste like cardboard 🤣. But that’s nothing new if you’ve been to in and out before.!
Very traditional 2 lines drive thru in and out, Pasadena #5 opened in Sep 1952 much older than me, only 3 parking spaces available, no dine in only outside seating area, 2 public restrooms need to ask for code, not recommend if you are in a hurry and long waiting time, more than 30mins waiting time.
A nice little place. Not a full-on restaurant. A drive-through with a small outdoor area to sit for a quick bite. Their burgers are awesome and very customisable- you can choose the number of patties and cheese slices you want to get. Their fries are also pretty good. I would call it outstanding but really good.
I really don't like this in and out.\nThere is no indoor sitting area and the outdoor seating is not clean.\nIt is always packed and the wait in the car can be an hour: It is not exactly fast food,…

very good; however, parking is very hard to come by; and they have very limited seating and no indoor seating; otherwise excellent food
I think this In-N-Out is the typical small In-N-Out experience - lines of cars on the streets, a handful of in-person orders, and a normal 10-15 minute wait time. Finding parking is hard nearby, an…
The lines are waaayyy to long I waited 45 minutes for food that's insane prices are great I'd pay more to get out sooner
I was truly confused when I went here and had high expectations and figured they would be met, and they weren't. Maybe I went to the wrong location, or just came at the wrong time. The burger was not any better than a wendy's burger, although and smelled and looked amazing. The fries had no flavor or seasoning at all. The milkshake was sooo sweet. Sadly it didn't match the "hype" associated with it. Like I said, maybe wrong location?
This place stays crowded back in the day this was the spot but now I think they're strictly living off their name not as good as it was
Was waiting for my order they never called my number on the speaker or out loud I had to go to the window after 15 minutes of waiting had to check if my order was ready it ended up being ready and I asked the employee how long was it ready he said 2 minutes
Good food just not worth the line that goes out the driveway and waaaaaay down the street. Only reason I went here was there happened to be no line which Ive never seen happen here before. Good food friendly staff a bit pricey but still good food
I came here with a rather large group, the walk up line stayed consistent the entire time we were here. There was always a line of cars going back at least 8 or more the whole time for the drive-through. We ordered from the walk-up line, and it took about 30 minutes to get our food. I am rather picky when it comes to sauces, I do not like the 1000 island sauce they put on the burgers. When we ordered, they were asked not to put it on 2 of the burgers. I was not about to wait an additional 30 minutes over 3 $4 cheeseburgers. The staff also messed up my oldest kids order and put onions on it, which she just gave to me, no big deal. That said, I do have to consider the failure of the staff in my review. My kids liked their food, and all the kids in our group got In-N-Out hats, which was cool. The overall complaint from the kids was how little shade there was in the seating area and how extremely hot the seats were. Concrete was not a smart choice for seating in Pasadena. I really wanted to leave a better review because I like the brand, but this one specifically missed the mark.

Downside: Insufferably long wait times. The line here moves like molasses. Upside: You'll have plenty of time to work up an appetite for the best cheeseburger on the planet.

they need to move and rebuild this location OR open a 2nd pasadena location. i’m not sure why the alhambra location got priority over that. i went here once and honestly just felt sorry for all the employees. there is like 8-10 of them in a kitchen smaller than most bedrooms. i was trying to ask the cashier for a side of pickles and he could not hear me at all. i really hope they get paid slightly above in n outs standard rate because those conditions paired with their demand seem less than desirable. yes it’s the oldest operating in n out cool, turn it into a museum or something. their set up works against their demand.
Waited 45 mins in the drive thru. I ordered animal fries with no onions, along with my burger. My order was repeated back to me not only when it was being taken, but when it was given to me. My fault for not checking it before pulling away, but when I got home, my animal fries had onions. 😞 Do you know how hard it is to pick chopped grilled onions off that are stuck in melted cheese?!
Arcadia is many times better. Fresher ingredients and better staff. You’re waiting in line anyway, so might as well drive to the good one.
*Beware of people who cut the lines!!! Had multiple experience and there were no staff outside taking order. Tried calling their customer service but they couldn't reach the store reps. Was a bummer that there are people that think it's okay and get a free pass..especially in the stop sign intersection near the piano store. This has always been my go to for burgers because who doesn't love In-N-Out right? There is usually a line here 24/7 basically unless you come at around 1:20am or when they just open. Even with that there are still always a few cars!!! I do say that this In-N-Out locations rarely make mistakes on your orders (when you have specific requests, like extra onion, Grilled onions, and etc) but I would say their fries isn't as consistent tho.. Sometimes it would taste really good and well fried while other times it would be wayyy too well done causing the fries to be super crunchy or way too soggy like it's soaked in the oils. So.. whether you get good fries depends a lot on the person making it and your luck :// I've visited basically during all hours and would recommend if you prefer a shorter wait to go around 10:45AM, 1:20AM (when they open until 1:30AM) and maybe around 2:30PM (but this time varies a lot, sometimes super crowded while others are like 15 mins wait). Though sometimes the line may look horrible but this locations tend to manage their lines pretty quickly so I would say each trip is around 15-25mins wait for drive thru lines over the Piano Store.

This rating is strictly based on the food quality and wait. I love In N Out and have gone to multiple locations throughout the years but this location literally served our food cold after we waited so long. The burger and fries were literally cold and felt like they had been sitting out for a long time which is ridiculous bc we had to wait so long to get our food to begin with?? Makes you wonder why they would wait so long only to give you old burgers… Also FYI, this location is primarily drive thru but they have a little booth you can walk to and order. We didn’t want to wait 3 blocks in our car so went to the booth to order not that it helped us at all.
This place turned us away because we had a big order on a Friday night. Sent us to another place and stated they called. They never called.
This is some of the worst service I ever had in and out. I have been to several locations in Arcadia. You have to wait on the side of the street waiting to get hit by another car. The food is good but not worth resting my vehicle my family and my life. They should fix this problem.
My first time ever having in N out and these people spent 50 min making our food just for some flying Dutchmen that came with NO ONION. Just the freaking patty and cheese nothing else. Never again.
This location is extremely slow. The line was extremely long so I got off to order there was only two of us waiting for our food and they took 25 minutes for 1 burger …
Very hard to find parking. Food took a long time. One vanilla shake was a different color than the other. Only an outdoor area to eat and there is little shade and the trash bins are dirty on the outside. To top it off I got food poisoning.
Got so sick from there last night. Update: Disappointed I haven't heard from management about my getting food poisoning. It was the onions, BTW. I know this because my husband and I got the same thing, but I got the whole raw onion on mine.
The staff is nice. The one star is because the crew sees someone by themselves and always sends them to the left, so you have to stretch across an empty seat to pay for your food and get your food. It happens every single time at this location. Then, to top it off, while I am waiting for my order clerk is forcing himself to the window to use credit card machine and then his buddy decides to bring a bucket of lemande to the window, rubbing against the car putting a scratch. Good times.
It took 22 minutes to get just hamburgers. Should be in & stay. Should be fast food, they give priority to drive thru
This location sucks. Walk up 15 minutes. Food ready 40 minutes from arrival. Nearly impossible to get refills. Walk up window VERY unsafe as cars nearly hit customers.
Everyone that ordered after me got the food before me, when my number was finally called I was told to hold because the "fries" weren't ready. I get my food finally the drinks are watered down and the 3 burgers were cold. Not sorry for the inconvenience NOTHING. I loved this in n out as a Pasadena resident. Not anymore.
