Artisan Paso Robles Reviews
Taste! Restaurant is truly a gem, nestled in a cozy nook of downtown Paso Robles. This place genuinely knows how to take care of its guests, providing a fantastic experience that was the perfect culmination of a few days of wine tasting in this gorgeous region. We were immediately impressed by the atmosphere and service. We were seated comfortably near the bar, and our server was great and highly attentive throughout the evening. The quality of the drinks matched the service; both the wine and their signature cocktail, "Saged By the Bell," were outstanding and beautifully balanced. The food was the star of the show, beginning with the appetizers. The steak shoestring fries were an absolute must-try—crispy, light, and seasoned perfectly with just the right amount of salt and pepper. The thinly cut steak on top was excellent, and the creamy sauce they served it with was truly addictive. For our main courses, we ordered the Pacific Rim salad with salmon and the Santa Fe Salad with Bavette Steak. The Pacific Rim salad was delicious, but the Bavette Steak on the Santa Fe Salad was the highlight. It was a generous cut, cooked to absolute perfection. It was oh so tender and seasoned precisely with just the right touch of salt and pepper. Taste! is a wonderful spot for a high-quality meal. We had a great time and will definitely be back soon!
Delicious! Great service and great drinks! The seasonal cocktails really impressed! We ordered off the happy hour menu which is very well priced. We got garlic fries, and two duos plus drinks. Everything was delicious including my bahn mi slider and cesar salad. Our drinks were really phenomenal as well! Creative and delicious. We will definitely return!
Smaller bites so you can try multiple things was a fun way to eat dinner! Their sliders are yummy and their mac was scrumptious! The most fun part was the Jungle Bird drink served in a beautiful peacock glass! And ladies that love flamingos, make sure you wash your hands before eating!
Really nice spot! Great food and fast service. We were traveling to Pismo and stopped in for a quick bite—what a pleasant surprise this little restaurant turned out to be! They have a wide variety of mini burgers, with options ranging from meat to veggie, all beautifully presented. We were in and out in about 40 minutes, and the bill was a pleasant surprise too! Loved it so much that made a stop on our way back as well! Highly recommend!
If you like some variety, this is the place for you. Lots of options. I went with 3 sliders and some Garlic Fries. Fries were excellent, super crispy shoestring fries, plenty of garlic and an aioli for dipping. Sliders were exceptional, especially the beef one I got. The other 2 were tasty, and flavorful as well. Sliders also had plenty of produce, but not too much. Drink menu was good as well.
Savory restaurant and nice atmosphere. We ordered a quartet set for two of us. It costs $30. - Cheeseburger in Paradise +$2 - Salmon Sammy +$2 - Italian Sprouts - Garlic Fries Also, I ordered a glass of a local wine 'Going for broke' (Paydirt, Paso Robles) for $13. I liked aroma and smooth finishes. Salmon Savory Burger was so delicious (enough sauce, great cooked fish) Italian Sprouts were savory for me. It was firm and had an interesting interpretation of cheese and bacon in it. Garlic Fries was delicious and had a persistent smell of garlic. The staff was polite and fast enough. Thanks!
This was our first time at Taste and we were so impressed with the extensive menu. We each ordered a Trio and our favorite items were the Pacific Rim salad, fly figgy fly chicken sandwich, and salmon sammy. Our server was so friendly and made us feel at home the moment we stepped in. We also loved the ambiance and this is a great place for a date or group hangout. We will definitely be back again to try out their other items!
Grabbed three different sliders, a seasonal drink, and local beer. Left stuffed and happy. The staff are all super friendly and take care of you from beginning to end. Super clean location and restrooms. Plenty of parking. They are walking distance to Stilson Cellars around the corner. Make sure and check them out too.
Tasty food (haha). They like sliders and they're good. I got the Hawaiian pineapple burger, the luau pork and the BBQ. They were delish.
We had been wanting to try out this restaurant for a while and am sorry we waited! Tye service was excellent, from the host, to server and expo. The drinks were perfect, the appetizers tasty and the portions the perfect size leaving us satisfied but not stuffed. We loved the open floor plan and the connection to the small patio.
This was our final lunch in Paso Robles on our most recent trip this past weekend. 2 different people recommended this place and it did not disappoint. Plenty of options for sliders as well as salads and mac and cheese. I had the Steak Benedict, Cubano along with the Chicken Pesto and all 3 were delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the restaurant decor was beautiful. Our server was great as well. Thank you for the delightful lunch!
Loved this place. The decor is clean and modern but still cozy. Staff were courteous and efficient, and the food.....excellent. We had a trio each, which was more than enough food. Forest slider, salmon slider and Pacific rim salad. Fly figgy fly slider, spicy tuna slider and grainy salad. EVERYTHING was excellent in both taste and presentation. Washed down with a glass of red wine...perfect! Highly recommend.
Great food. Soup was salty but flavorful. Sliders were great!
Atmosphere was upperclass but simultaneously casual. The food was delicious, but small portions for the cost. Spent over 3 digits for 3 people and didn't even order drinks. Service was good and polite, slow on the checking on us and filling up the water, but overall, it was a good experience. If your wallet can get away with it, definitely recommend it.
I am 100% sure these are the best sliders I have ever eaten. Great staff, decent prices, great atmosphere and the pesto and goat cheese sliders are so unbelievably good. And full bar and such. Thank you! Plus this insanely cool picture of a camel.

Stopped in for lunch, our first time there. Loved the vibe. The staff was super friendly and explained how the menu works. Food was fantastic and lived up to hype.

TASTE! An amazing spot to grab an afternoon drink and appetizer! The ambience is stellar and the food…delicious! We ordered appetizers only. The grilled brie and the soup of the day. I do not recall the name of the soup but it had pieces of filet mignon :) we definitely have to come back for dinner! We sat at the bar, it was cozy and a great view to the park across the street Our first time in Paso Robles. Thank you TASTE! team for a delightful experience.
We had a nice Saturday night dinner after wine tasting. The atmosphere was eclectic and the service was good. The menu is very interesting. We chose a combo of sliders and mac cheese - that’s the majority of the menu. Food is as small but very good.

An average dining experience. While the flavors were good, and the shoestring garlic fries were a highlight, many other aspects were less satisfying. The extensive burger menu surprisingly lacks American cheese, and the prevalence of ciabatta buns made for a tough and messy bite. The mac and cheese arrived with a re-solidified cheese layer. Service was slow despite the restaurant not being busy, and the loud dance music was a bit jarring for a Sunday afternoon.
Had the Argentinian tri tip slider and hubby had the quinoa/beet one (he enjoyed it). The bacon Mac n cheese was ok. Salad was good. Came for Sunday brunch.

The restaurant is beautiful. The service was very fast and friendly. Our server was wonderful. 5 stars for him. My daughters Mac and cheese tasted like nothing. The "salad" was just romaine. My steak was tough. The brussel sprouts were super greasy and salty. The portions were tiny. We came because of the good reviews and left hungry and disappointed.
server + atmosphere was good. mac n cheese was awful. portions are small but fun to try things. sandwiches came out cold and tasted like they were just microwaved or premade and left in a warmer. everything was dry. sodas are $5 each which is lowkey wild.
