La Possavina Penango Reviews
Cucina monferrina semplice ma di qualità, rapporto prezzo eccezionale, quarant'anni di esperienza almeno.. non serve descrivere i vini locali.
Beautiful place, simple cuisine, attentive and fast service, fixed menu with dishes to choose from, excellent carpione and fantastic agnolotti
An incredible place for a business lunch. It feels like stepping into a place where time has stood still. The food is authentic, following the constantly updated menu on the blackboard, and at a reasonable price. Ample parking in the greenery.
We stopped by chance for lunch. The set menu was simple but very good. We were truly satisfied!
On a Sunday in August, we tried the full menu, which, for €30, includes three appetizers, a first course, a second course, and a dessert. We were able to savor simple, traditional Monferrato dishes, expertly and carefully prepared. The staff were extremely kind, attentive, and present but not intrusive. We found the atmosphere simple but tasteful.
Excellent food, including an appetizer, first course, second course with side dish, dessert, coffee, and liqueur. The house wine was very good. Despite some initial inadvertent misunderstandings about the menu, we spoke with the staff and resolved them promptly and cordially.
Very good home-made food... places need renovation... you can see the passing of the years (many)...
The kind of restaurant I like. Simple, very good local cuisine, a family atmosphere. There's a lovely park that can be used for summer buffets. Located in a very beautiful area of Monferrato, it's perfect for pleasant picnics. Recommended.
A family-run trattoria offering Piedmontese-style "business" service during the week and on Saturdays and Sundays. Good prices.
A trattoria offering a set lunch menu. The location is beautiful, and the food is simple but good. The portions are decent. A great place to stop!
Rustic yet welcoming, with a large, well-maintained garden and plenty of space for children. We had a wonderful meal, all meat-based: Fassona tartare, veal with tuna sauce, ravioli with roast beef sauce, and pork shank with potatoes. Everything was excellent. The homemade bonet dessert was delicious! We'll definitely be back when we visit Monferrato again.
On weekdays, it caters to workers and travelers. Simple but very well-prepared dishes (the mixed boiled meat is truly delicious this season) with a decent selection. Fast and efficient service. Reasonable prices. The only drawback: the wine served doesn't live up to the food. If they improved this as well, it would be a top-notch choice for a delightful stop.
A homely, family-style atmosphere offers a promising setting for traditional dishes. But expectations aren't always met. The portions could be larger, especially for the main courses, and the flavors could be more pronounced. Indeed, the three stars are confirmed thanks in part to the owners' excellent hospitality and courtesy. Given the area and its culinary traditions, one might have expected more. Too bad...
Good for a workman's lunch at a good price. Simple and affordable. No frills.
We found it by chance. The service was truly trattoria-like. When the waitress served, she would put her serving fork on the diners' plates, which was annoying. The appetizers were quite good, including the agnolotti with roast beef sauce, where they didn't even see the sauce. As for the main course, the Piedmontese-style fritto misto was good, and there was a choice of sweet and savory options.
I went yesterday on Christmas Day... dirty place... indecent bathrooms... disorganized service, if we didn't ask they made us skip an appetizer... mediocre menu and food... there was a fly in the wine... an experience not to be repeated... I don't recommend it... they made us pay full price for three children who ate almost nothing.
I give one star because less is not possible. Worst Christmas lunch ever. Attracted by the price of the menu that seemed quite extensive we decided to book, in a table of 23 people no one was satisfied. Waiters were kind but the owner was terrible, she was constantly huffing and puffing as if she was annoyed by having customers. Most of the food was not of quality and at the end of lunch we were expecting "Christmas sweets" as per the menu, what did we receive? A baked apple and a third of a slice of panettone. Disappointed children and adults! Never again!!!
