Wild Goat Petaluma Reviews
This place is delicious, I have celiac and was able to have a wide variety of food that turned out amazing. Totally recommend coming here, gluten free or not. Their cake is delicious!
Came in because it was recommended to us as a healthier option for dinner. The atmosphere and service were great! We both ordered the salmon and couldn't have been more pleased. Our plates were cleaned! 😋
What a great find. Diversified menu, charming environment... We ate in the "hallway" as they call it, along with numerous other patrons. It's just part of the charm of Wild Goat Bistro. Menu selection made decisions difficult since so many items sounded -- and looked -- delicious. We settled on sharing a Farmer's Daughter salad and Fog Lifter pizza. Both were incredibly filling and wonderful. Service was good until the end when our server disappeared when it came time to pay the bill. Finally, another individual came by to assist us. That was the only downfall of a very enjoyable lunch.
My boyfriend and I past through Petaluma last night and picked this restaurant for its reviews and great looking food and we were not disappointed. Christine was our amazing serveur. She gave up top notch care and attention plus she’s super sweet. We had the meatballs and Fog ( forgot the rest) pizza. Very delicious !
The Nutty Goat starter is a fun taste treat. It's serving size is quite generous as are serving sizes of the large plates. I can't wait to try the pizzas. Some really unusual composition there. And options abound for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets.
Outrageously tasty, just off the charts! I can see why they won so many awards every year. How can anything be that delicious and still be legal? You must go and try it because you do not yet understand what I mean by "outrageously tasty". I also found it was pretty reasonably priced considering how much enjoyment I got from the experience
Very quaint little restaurant with excellent food and service. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. I had an heirloom tomato salad that was very, very good. Well prepared and beautifully plated. Friendly staff and clientele. Conveniently located in one of the nicest parts of Petaluma. Reservations are highly recommended because there were quite a few people waiting when we left.
Amazing experience overall! Food was incredible and we had a great server. Although the great service didn’t end there, the bussers, host and food runners all had great attitudes and were extremely helpful and friendly! However I would say if you have a seating preference then you should make a reservation as they are typically pretty busy. We wanted to sit inside but we had to sit outside as it was fully booked (our fault :) ).
Great food! Great location (close to waterfront, central)! Great vibe. Friendly staff. Tons of vegetarian options. Highly recommend. We tried their Sweet Potato Quinoa cakes, Into the Woods Pizza and Polenta fries. DELICIOUS! We were full but also wanted to try the Mac n Cheese and Shepherd’s pie. 🤤
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Wild Gold Bistro Restaurant and was thoroughly impressed! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a warm and welcoming decor. But the real star of the show was the food - specifically, the pizza. I ordered the [insert pizza name] and it was hands-down one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The crust was perfectly crispy, the sauce was rich and tangy, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The combination was absolute perfection. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure our every need was met. Overall, I would highly recommend Wild Gold Bistro Restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a great atmosphere. Can't wait to go back and try more of their menu!
The wild goat is a phenomenal restaurant on petaluma's riverfront. What's 60s and 70s music ebbing and it has a warm atmosphere. The staff are professional and amazing. It's a little pricier but the food is delicious and very well worth it for a special occasion 😁 And it's okay to share and split a meal that they're not against that and the bathroom is in the mail part it's not in the restaurant itself but you just let them know you need to use the restroom they'll give you the code
Service, ambiance were great, as usual. My lunch friend was raving about the cakes, which I had never tried, so we ordered one slice of one, to share. Once it arrived, she was astonished and embarrassed to have recommended it. It was not a generous slice, very dry, and seemed several days old. I didn’t want to be too critical, as she was the one who would recommended it, but everything she said seemed spot on. She had doubted it as the best cake in town. I’m sure, if it had been fresh, it would probably have been more pleasant, but for $14 a slice, and a small slice at that, it was very disappointing
Had really high expectations for the food at this place as it was highly rated on many platform. We left a bit disappointed. Maybe we tried the wrong things however the pork chop dish was a bit burnt lacked salt and flavor. The fig and prosciutto pizza was nothing special. I would add a drizzle of olive oil or balsamic glaze to tie it all together. The farmers salad would be perfect but it was missing a sweet component such as dried cranberries or a fresh apple. Not sure if I would repeat but a bit disappointed.
The hostess was less than friendly. Initially she retorted that they weren’t open so we had to wait. Not a big deal until she asked if we had a reservation. We did not. She sighed as if irritated and said she had a reservation coming at 12:30 so we had to be done with our lunch by them. Were we supposed to be humble and thank her profusely? The food was good though.
I rarely leave reviews but the misleading ones left here plus the quality of the food we got, prompted me to do so in this occasion. For clarification the service was great and the main room of the restaurant looks cozy. We ordered the high steak sandwich and fog pizza. The quality of the food was well below average. By that I mean that the pizza was comparable to a frozen aisle one and that sandwich was similar to that of a gas station, no flavor and barely any ingredients, just bread. Not trying to be mean, perhaps we ordered wrong. This is more about the impartiality of the reviews here. I’m having a hard time understanding if the people leaving reviews ever ate out or get groceries at cvs? Summary: Good ambience Good service Mediocre food. Not home, just made.
Went for lunch with a party of 7 and had a decent meal and experience. We had reservations so we were seated quickly. Nice atmosphere and good range of menu and wine selections. Started with appetizers of an olive plate and a roasted cauliflower plate- both very tasty. Our meal selections included a WGB burger, adult grilled cheese and soup, the Veggie Delight, a salad special, and one Gone Fishing. Good solid entrees, nothing fancy, but good. Staff was pleasant and service was good. Parking in the area is challenging and mostly 2 hr limit spots. Reservations recommended if you’re going.
We share the like me a lot. Lunch. The highlight was the polenta fries which were crispy and had nice Parmesan cheese crumbles over it. Sandwich and salad were pretty basic though. The staff were pretty nice but we were outside and there was a yappy dog next to us and a woman who never ceased to talk. Of course I can't blame the restaurant for this. But sitting outside in the tent the atmosphere was not that nice. Might be better off on the exterior wall where there is a little more on the odds but more sunlight.
We waited an hour for a couple sandwiches which could have come from the deli at safeway. The pork belly appetizer was pretty good. The waitress rarely came bye. My friend had the Blast and there was one thin layer of smoked salmon a couple pieces of bacon and mostly iceberg lettuce for 20 something dollars. Definitely not worth the price or the wait.
Have you ever got excited reading through the menu because everything sounds delicious? That’s me as I chose this place for lunch! Unfortunately, both the service and food here are so bad that I’m appalled. We ordered the apricot glazed turkey burger and chick-a-luma, and both are very bland! There’s no seasoning on the turkey and chicken itself. I mean, I get it if it’s catered towards healthy living so adjust salt as needed.. but this is not seasoned at all. The apricot chipotle sauce is decent, but there’s only so much it can do. We were seated quickly but got abandoned by our server. All in it was about 40 minutes before we got food, and it didn’t look especially busy. Plus my drink never made it out at all.
