Bar Caribe Piazza Acquaverde Reviews
We found the restaurant on Tiktok and loved the food, especially the portions! K was an amazing waitress and we will definitely be back!
Excellent and authentic Puerto Rican food. You already feel at home when you walk through the door. The staff is very nice, and the food is delicious! They're also very hospitable and kind.
we went for schenectady restaurant week. K was an amazing server, super sweet and attentive. The food was IMMACULATE. best jerk chicken and chicharrones i’ve had in a while. plus the cocktails are moderately priced. def go if you can :)
When we first came in, the restaurant looked and smelled amazing. We were told there was a 30 minute wait, but we were seated much sooner! Our server, K, was such a sweetheart and even made recommendations when I wasn’t sure on what to order. Very attentive and friendly. Would definitely come back!!
My son brought me here for lunch for my birthday, we dined in and the food was excellent, presentation was very pleasant and prices were fair. I had shrimp in garlic and the shrimp were cooked to perfection and there were plenty. Rice was perfection and the beans were so good. Staff were super friendly and efficient. The place is super clean, I mean really clean which is really important to me. Great experience in every way.
Food is amazing, everyone is very nice and the place is much bigger inside than it looks from the street. K helped me decide between the pernil and chuletas. Went with chuletas and the were so good. Will be back for the pernil and many other things. Maduras were also delicious and they have a full bar. Happy to have a place like this in Rotterdam!
My wife and I went out for date night. The place was recommended by my sister in law. The food was out of this world. I had the Mofongo with jerk shrimp. My wife had the Salmon filet with sauteed potatoes. My goodness. It was such a great experience. K was our lovely waitress. K made recommendation as respects appetizer. We will definitely be back and tell our friends.
This is a nice clean place with good food. Our first time visiting but would definitely recommend! Oh, and I started messing with the salad before I remembered to take a photo, so it doesn't look like the presentation exactly as delivered (in the interest of fairness and full disclosure, lol).
Food was amazing. Our waitress kay was very informative on the menu and I took her up on her suggestions. Definitely worth the stop if your hungry. Clean bathrooms as well always a good sign. That gave me a clear indication that the food was gonna be real good in preparation. Very clean an friendly staff.
First time here but definitely wont be the last. We didn’t take pictures of the food when it arrived because it smelled so good and we dove right in. The Dominican sampler was huge. Even the small. K even “warned” us about how much food it was. lol She was great. Our entree was Oxtails and Mofongo with all the goodies. Again another flavor win! If you want authentic PR AND DR food, run to Caribe. The dine-in atmosphere was beautiful and relaxed. The front take-out area was bright and inviting. Everyone said hello and/or goodbye. Small parking lot in the rear but easily reached. Headed home with a piece of Flan that I have no doubt will be perfect. Looking forward to coming back. K said to try the Mac n Cheese.
What can I say about Caribe Restaurant in Schenectady? It was absolutely fantastic! Our server, Matt, was incredibly attentive and remarkably patient with our two little ones, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. You can truly taste the freshness in every dish, with flavors that highlight the quality of the vegetables without being overly salty. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, which added a personal touch to our visit. It was heartwarming to learn that this is a family-owned establishment, and that their children are part of the team as well. Although it's about a 25-minute drive for us, it’s undoubtedly worth the journey, and we will definitely be returning! I would love to see a location open in Clifton Park—please consider it!
Visiting from out of state, glad I stopped here. Service was excellent, very friendly. Didn't know what a lot of the food was, and Keana was very informative. Had the pepper steak to go. Generous portion, plenty of meat, not a lot of peppers, was served over rice. Very filling and wasn't greasy. Also got two beef empanadas, which were delicious. Wish I had bought more. Highly recommended. Parking is behind it, and easy to drive past it. Worth the stop.
We have ordered twice here for delivery. Food is good I will say we got a little of a few different things but I just wish the plates were bigger 😩. restaurant looks very nice ! We got different price plates but same sizes they were small/medium . $26 for chicharron rice and beans in a small plate it said dinner and I got it for my husband who’s a big man lol who got a small plate . We spent $144+ last night . It was good but I should have just cooked it myself 😂😅 . I was going to try a dessert but they’re $8 a slice a cake on grub hub . I get prices have went up but there are other places that sell the same stuff for less .
Overall good. Food was a bit cold though. Flavor good except the Sancocho. The beef wasn't that good, kind of chewy, the broth tasted overcooked. (Im not familiar with Puerto Rican food). Price vs quality and portion size ok. Dessert Flan good, little too sweet for my taste. Service good. It's a little place, parking in the back (driveway next to it), atmosphere ok, some hispanic decor. Small dogs friendly, along it isn't aloud.
First time at this place food was decent enough for the price. Came into the place with family we ordered from the menu and went to sit down in the restaurant. We were told we couldn't sit there because we ordered takeout. Even though it's the same food I guess they keep the place clean for people who don't. We asked where could we sit and the guy serving food offered the bar. I was told I guess sby the manager or owner I should know the kids can't sit at the bar. I said the guy said we could sit there. Very confusing, no signs indicating where you can and can't sit we left with stupid rules. Chicken Empanadas made with old recycled chicken. The chicken was off. We won't be back. It's unfortunate too we wanted to like this place. To the manager don't feel the need to reply to my review just move on.
This is my second time ordering from here. The first time was just okay so we decided to give it a second try. This time spending $150 and giving a little of everything a try. As far as taste, my pernil was very very bland. The alcappurias and casava balls were not crispy at all so the texture was really off. The amount of food you get is laughable. They give you 3oz of pernil meat for $13 with a large piece of skin and fat. I requested no fat or skin when I placed my order. When I requested to have the skin and fat removed, I was met with resistance on the change. Pernil isnt even an expensive meat for a business so the cost to make a customer happy vs loosing out on a bit of cost to put more meat is incompariable. The bistec was so small for $25. This was beyond terrible customer service. Value for your money is lacking. And taste is poor. The only positive is that it looks nice in there. So with the combination of poor customer service and tastelest and small quantity of food on two occasions, my family and I will not be returning. Please visit Lo Nuestro Dominican Resturant in Albany or Sabor Boricano in downtown Schenectady over this place where you get better tasting food and better service. ‐‐---------------------------------------------------------- To respond to the resturants rebuttal, my review was nothing but honest. I ordered 3 pernil dinners and 1 pernil (just meat dish). The woman only removed the fat from the pernil (only meat dish) after I requested it on the phone and in person. The other dishes were left as is with the woman saying "if I just give you all meat all there will be left for others is skin." If other people like the skin so much, why not accomodate the limited customers who do not want to pay for big slices of fat on their meat? If you actually did check your security footage, you would see me, the customer, removing the skin (which was not crispy and just very fatty) and throwing it in your trash. As a business owner, you should be ashamed. Don't try calling me a liar. The proof is in the photo I provided. Which clearly looks like what I stated (4oz) of meat and anyone who actually visits this location would know for a fact, they serve your meat with a spoon from the hot tray, no measuring in sight. And I have read other low reviews with others saying the same thing as me. Are we all not credible liars?! Please do better. Not for me since my family nor I will be returning but for your other customers. Like I said, and I stand on that, if you are reading this as a customer, go elsewhere. There are plenty other latin resturants with better service, food and class.
I accidentally ordered dinner online thinking it was a different restaurant. I hadn’t been to eat there in well over a year ago because I wasn’t impressed. I drove 30 minutes back home to be greeted with two different dry chicken meals that had lackluster rice. One was the baked chicken and the other was the “jerk” chicken. Needless to say I won’t going back
