DQ Grill & Chill Pilot Point Reviews
Went in for the first time ever on my last visit, the dining area was fairly empty and mostly clean but very stuffy and warm. Not exactly comfortable at all. But the 4 year old wanted DQ inside so we stayed. The food was nothing to write home about. I get the burger bunless and it is put in a nice container which is great for low carbing. The boys fries were cold and pretty stale. It's fast food - so its always hit or miss with quality IMO.
Super slow service and we were the only ones in line! Seems there are only two people working at this time which is crazy considering it’s dinner time (7pm). It took 20 minutes from the time we pulled up to order our food. Still we were the only people here until we were pulling away and a couple were walking in to dine inside.
Food took forever to come out. We ate inside. And the wait was so long. My mom's food was cold my daughters food was slightly warm. And my food was the last to come out and it was cold as well. They forgot my fries. And did not put mustard or cheese on my burger. The nacho chips was so stale I couldn't even eat them. We will not be back. It was awful! The staff was nice and kept apologizing for the wait. But come on. They need more people there
used to be good….lately the employees have lost the will to live….long wait time, wrong order, not even visible in restaurant, not wearing gloves. For an extra 20 minutes just go to the one in Denton or somewhere else. This DQ needs to shut down, it’s just a bunch of teen employees that don’t care.
If I could give this place less stars that I did, I would Griselda was absolutely horrid. Probably the worst in customer service I’ve ever encountered. I was thrown cold food no no napkins. I waited in line or in the drive-through for 15 minutes to get my cold food and then I had to wait another 15 minutes just to try to get napkins which I ended up having to drive in and park to go inside myself to get napkins because she kept on ignoring me. They refuse to answer the phone I ended up not eating my food and throwing it away because I asked for no onions and she covered in onions. Thanks Griselda you suck at your job.
We went and employees were hanging around behind the counter, no one greeted us. The girl that took our order had to ask the cook how many steak fingers came on a kid meal. Before she finished taking my order the cook came out to say they were out of gravy. The cook has a big head of hair and it was uncovered while he cooked. In between customers the employees were sitting in the cook area chatting with the cook. The store is filthy. The health department needs to make an impromptu inspection.
Rude person who brings us ice cream anything else? Anything else anything else she was so rude I will never come back
So I came to this place ordered my food the employees in the back we’re not wearing gloves and I said something about it and the manager went out there and told them and then I’m asking for a refund cause I’m not gonna eat this food and they don’t even know how to do the refund number.
30 minutes in drive thru to get food. Waited at the speaker quite a bit. Waited at the window a good amount of time. At least as a courtesy inform your clients there will be an estimated amount of waiting time.
Gave this place another try after their remodel. Unfortunately they did nothing with their employees. The staff needs help with time management and multi tasking. They only help one person at a time in the drive through. Been waiting 45 minutes and just got to the window.
We pulled into the drive thru around 5:15 PM. There was not a single car in line or in the parking lot. After sitting at the speaker for about ten minutes with no response, I decided to go inside. I asked if the speaker was broken and was told no. After ordering, I waited and watched the cook, Priscilla I believe, laugh, struggle to heave herself out of a booth, and then start cooking. She was wearing no gloves and did not wash her hands beforehand. She put her bare hands into the lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, and everything else. She placed sliced tomatoes on tacos, broke two taco shells, slammed together a burger with her hands, and somehow even broke my daughter’s chicken strips in half. It was a complete spectacle. The restaurant itself was filthy. The entire ice cream prep area was disgusting. Cups were stacked all over the counters with no organization. The kid behind the counter started scooping trash off the counter into a trash bag with no gloves, then immediately put those same hands directly onto my food to bag it. I have never seen anything like this. Where is the manager? Why did going to a Dairy Queen in Texas feel like buying street food in India? Either shut this place down or require a manager on site. This location is a joke.
Horrible!!!! Horrible horrible horrible. You’ll be sitting in the drive thru waiting to order forever. All teens! Every time I have a horrible experience here. And they just laugh and sit on their phone. Very disgusting behavior.
Our Dudes were made from chicken patties, not chicken fried steak...beef! Tried to call to ask why, but no one answered the phone.
After waiting an hour in the drive thru to move up 2 cars, I sat reading the reviews and decided to leave because if they haven’t fixed the drive thru times, why would they have fixed the other issues. I saw one teenager running between the front registers and the kitchen. This place needs better management and hire more adults. One kid shouldn’t be running a location alone during busy hours.
Too expensive, food is no longer good like it used to be - there is absolutely no value in coming here. And thr ridiculous amount of time you havd to wait? Forget it
Why is there never an adult manager or someone at the DQ to manage all these kids/highschoolers working here. Some of the kids do a good job and others not so much, when other high schoolers come in to buy something the high school employees get so distracted they can’t do their job. Either they need to be managed better or they need to be trained in customer service. This time we went late, they were still open and no one was managing the drive thru, we sat for awhile but gave up and went somewhere else.
Horrible service at night time when it’s teens. Horrible! We sat at the drive thru for 10 minutes saying hello?! We pulled up and then we see teenagers giggling and not even paying attention and eating ice cream. This has happened multiple times. I’m sitting here at the drive thru at the window and just keep getting looks from the workers and no help. HORRIBLE!
My brother and I Waited an hour in the drive thru when there was only one other car in line. When I got to window got asked to retake my order and when I got the food was missing a whole meal and two jalitos. When I went in to get the rest of my order I got given a half full jalito and the meal with a half fry.
have stopped at this DQ several times in the last year. up to now it's always been OK. Today stopped for a take out order, had slow service, received wrong item, chicken finger baskets had no gravy and half normal amount of fries. will have to seriously consider if we will stop there again
This Dairy Queen is straight out of a sitcom — except it wasn’t funny when it was my order. I asked for a Reese’s Blizzard and an Oreo Blizzard. They said, “Say less,” and gave me two mystery mashups that tasted like confusion. Apparently, they were out of large cups too, because why wouldn’t they be? The line was so long people were literally giving up and leaving — smart move, honestly. No manager in sight, just two teenage boys holding the fort like it was the Alamo. Bless their hearts, but maybe someone over 17 should be running the show next time. Total chaos, zero quality control, 10/10 entertainment if you like watching things fall apart
Service took a very long time. 😠😒🙄 There were customers going behind the counter. 🤔🧐🤨 Or they were employees that were not on the clock. 😮💨🤨🙄 Dairy Queen was not of the recommended food quality. 👎😬🤢 the drinks were very gross in watered down or over syruped. 🤮🤢🥴 it also looked like it was under construction and not open.🚧🏗️😔
Disappointed that I’m even having to leave this negative review but it’s necessary. We come here once a week and have never had an issue until today. For starters we were the only ones in the drive thru and still had to get someone’s attention through the intercom. We then had to repeat our simple order(small vanilla cone and French silk pie blizzard) several times before being told they didn’t have the ingredients for the blizzard so we ordered a different blizzard. We get to the window and the girl working seemed rushed and annoyed. We were given the blizzard but no cone. She quickly made a cone and once again basically rushed us out. We weren’t charged for the cone and our blizzard was wrong. Not sure who was working but it was a terrible and frustrating experience. Won’t be going back for awhile. Do better.
There is no reason a fast food place should only have one person working. Not only is it a bad experience for the customers, its dangerous for the employee. Do better.
