Great lunch spot in Pismo Beach. We were there on a Monday for a late lunch. We had the Duke burger with fries and the Elvis melt sandwich with sweet potato fries. Service was fast and friendly. Plenty of seating, suitable for large groups.

Always past by this place when we come to Pismo but surprisingly really good atmosphere and great customer service the fries taste just like Dog House in Fresno just thicker. I got the jailhouse burger 🍔 fire 🔥 🔥

This is a great place to stop by if you’re visiting. We had a long day hiking at Pismo Reserve and were super hungry. This cafe offers a great variety of menu. We ordered a beer flight and picked a couple local beers. It was delicious. I loved Pineapple mana and ordered a full glass after. The house-made clam chowder was delicious. Lots of ingredients in the tiny bowl and it’s not salty or fishy at all. We saw a lot of customers ordered milk shake so it must be good as well. Let’s talk about ribs. It’s good, not smoked but it’s still tender and the bone falls off from the meat. I ordered the dinner portion, it’s huge. Might be good to share it. The fish and chips were delicious as well. Loved the seasoned fries. Our waitress is very attentive and friendly. Quick services, family friendly, and the wait is okay. Definitely recommend.

First time here! Very great place to eat! Got a double bacon cheese burger side of onion rings and a Turkey sandwich with bacon & avocado side of fries. Was super delicious; the service was quick and staff were very friendly! Definitely recommend if you’re coming through town and will be eating here when I come back.

I had the Duke and a Cookie Monster milk shake and it was soo good! As long as you’re not in a diet this place is great! Tip: if you don’t have kids and don’t want to be around them while you eat your meal get it to go or sit at the bat. Their booths and high top tables aren’t very comfortable or well laid out.

This place is a diamond in the rough! Great energy from the staff. Look at the food! I picked up the Don Ho burger with fries and a side salad. The root beer was pretty good too! Definitely bringing the kids next time. 5 stars doesn't do this place justice, hey google let's add another star!

Must visit place in Pismo Beach. This diner was a pretty cool, retro feel and super friendly host-staff. Food was ok I guess, I would say it was hit or miss, and I am not just saying that. The fries were ok, a little burnt on the day I visited but the kids menu is nice. Wish there wasn’t a charge for each little vegetable being added to a grilled cheese. Overall- it’s almost a 5 but flavor was off for me in my burger and the overcharging of the kids meal was a turnoff for me. Again- definitely recommend this place to everyone visiting Pismo Beach.

Town Traveller

Good food and they open late so if you're craving late night food you can visit this place. Can get pretty crowded and rowdy. The staff/servers are very nice. They have the typical American burgers and seafood plates. The best one are the flights! The server will also give you suggestions.

Food portions were pretty good size. Atmosphere is cute. They were selling goods to support the Maui community due to the fires the islands had. You can order specialized shakes from their shake bar. Service was not the greatest. Our waiter wasn't the friendliest. We noticed he'd go to the other tables and checked on them and would talk, but he kind of avoided our table until it was time to pay. And it wasn't busy at all. Not sure what that was all about. Doubt I'd visit this restaurant again just because we didn't feel welcomed there.

I loved the atmosphere, the service was good, even though the place was busy, but the food was fast. The burgers were good, their breaded calamari where way better than regular calamari, you can tell they’re fresh. The French fries was cold. If you’re looking for a traditional American eatery, cool cat is the place.

We have been to the cool cat spot several times. However fries are too salty 👈 there's no need to add so much salt especially when you have salt on the counters.They have the overhead fans on even when it's 70 degrees with a breeze coming through the door. Very uncomfortable and the constant fan being on made my meal get cold. Employees think it's okay for the fans to be on. please be more considerate.

Our experience wasn’t very good due to our server. We didn’t get her name but she has brownish/black hair and had a yellow guitar pick necklace. She was very rude and while I was in the middle of asking a question/ having a conversation she walked away and went to go help another table. Then she disappeared for 15 + minutes. She acted like we were impeding on her day. She was not kind or respectful and did not create a welcoming environment. We’ve been coming here many years and never had a problem, but we may not come back if she is the server we get again.
