WOW! We had their lunch special for only $5.99 today. It was two hardshell beef tacos with beans and rice with chips and salsa. Great place, quick friendly service, and great food at a really great price. I highly recommend this place if you are in Pittsburg, TX.

The food is good, the queso is good. Atmosphere is nothing special. Service was great! Handicapped accessible, just watch out for walking into restaurant as it will slope downwards.

Food was okay. The beans were the worse thing. No seasoning and just liquid mush. Ordered to go for Mothers Day and it was just okay. Would probably go to an more authentic place next time.

I have eaten here two times within the last year. Both times were okay. I may come across a bit critical but mexican food is my favorite. I've eaten a lot of different styles from across the US as well as in Mexico. For me Peralta's is right in the middle. It is a cross between Tex-Mex and American style Mexican food. Meaning: The food is a bit bland for those that don't do spicy or strong flavors, but also the right amount of flavor that you can add a little salt and salsa to kick it up a notch. Pros: •Salsa has good flavor, heat and consistency *more on the medium-hot side than mild •The queso sauce is on point •Food is quick to be served. Cons: •Chips are either pre packaged or prepared too far in advance. *Too many crumbled pieces •Servers are more like order takers. They are nice and prompt but nothing above or beyond. Recommendation for Servers: ( I'm just trying to help your tips $$$) Smile, If the person you are waiting on has dined before, welcome them back. If you've never seen them, welcome them to Peralta's introduce yourself and give a recommendation. Could be your favorite dish or any specials. Ask them for their drink order and give a moment to review the menu. A little bit goes a long way.

Wow, surprised after getting overcharged on "large guacamole"! I love this restaurant, food and service. But for the first time I ordered a large guacamole, it was VERY DISAPPOINTING, 4 small scoops (like watermelon ball scoops). Then to kind of disguise the embarrassment of a the portion, they throw on some onions and tomatoes. I travel the US and eat Mexican food all the time, in addition to ordering guacamole. This was the smallest portion I have EVER received, and then they charged $9.00. Last nights waitress was awesome and the food was great. I will never order their guacamole again.

All texmex, we thought it was going to be homemade as suggested but it isn't. The rice had hard bits in it, everything else was subpar. Service was good, staff were friendly.

no bueno comida! I took a bite and sent it back and left but tipped the waiter. enchiladas are not so complex a food item to be so bad, beans watered down, no bueno. Ohhh chips and salsa were good ok!

Would not recommend. Food tasted like it had been sitting all day. Food had zero flavor and as bad as the food was, the service was worse.
