Cocina la Chaya Playa del Carmen Reviews
Best Breakfast in Kanai! Amazing selection of fresh fruits, pastries, Mexican dishes, and custom omelets. Our waiter Wilbert was outstanding. So attentive and anticipated anything we would need. Beautiful view of the ocean from our table. We will be back. Highly recommend.
I had the pleasure of enjoying both breakfast and lunch at Chaya, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. The food was incredibly fresh, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. The quality of the ingredients truly stood out, and there was a great variety to choose from. The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and very professional. I’m thoroughly impressed with this place and highly recommend it for a fantastic dining experience!
Very fun, interesting menu! Fantastic service as we’ve come to expect at a St Regis property!
We had a great dinner at CHAYA, the service was superb our server Edwin was absolutely flawless, he was very knowledgeable of the menu and made great recommendations which we ordered and absolutely enjoyed. The truffle fries were amazing. The latte was so good that I asked for a second cup. The only observation was for my dessert. The Crème Brûlée had a slight taste of butane from the torch used to caramelize the top sugar.
Great food in a memorable place with the best service. WOW!
Chaya was good. The interior of the restaurant is really nice, and same with the furniture. The service was good and we were always checked on, but it took a very long time to get service, and we didn’t even really get a “true” waiter, and they switched many times. You could tell that it was new and they didn’t really know the menu items, and often checked the menu to confirm. It is a new hotel and new restaurant, so they are just figuring things out. It says it’s a middle eastern restaurant but they don’t have true middle eastern food, with pizza, fried chicken, and no true middle eastern food. Still found good options to eat, overall could be a better restaurant, and they need to change the category of restaurant.
Flavorless - they could put some effort into seasoning. Best thing on the menu was the bread.. and even that was not great
Horrible experience!!! Barely edible. Stale tortilla to start, and the food presentation is like horrible!! It make me sick 🤢.. so disappointed!! I came from edition hotel to have a nice dinner !! What a disappointment!! The waiters are in a Rush!! It looks like a fast food restaurant!! Fast food restaurant has better flavor!! What a waste of my night .. I will never go to that place or stay at that hotel. Staff need to be more pleasant..
Found out that they changed menus last night. This is no longer a Mediterranean restaurant and they notified no one. The menu is a basic American bistro executed horrendously. Barely edible. Stale tortilla to start, overpriced underwhelming salad with the worst avocados in Mexico and the enchiladas were inedible. This should not be located in a St Regis. Staff were super nice and accommodating. Not their fault at all.
