Togo's Pleasant Hill Reviews
This location in pleasant hill is amazing they really are cheerful when we come there and the pastrami Reuben sandwich is to die for. It’s one of my favorite sandwiches and I’ll continue to be a life long customer. Thx pleasant hill! Keep it up!
Always a great spot to come get delicious and filling sandwiches 😋 We love coming here!
The best crew, so friendly, our weekly friends!
First time at a Togo's restaurant ever and this was definitely the best location for the best experience. Very clean, well placed, good parking options. The staff were exceptionally fast but Patient with our questions and alterations. Despite babbling through our entire visit the owner Aman and his staff member Maria were as kind and welcoming as if we were visiting friends. They were acting almost as if they were entertaining company. When we got home to eat my normally quiet son announced his turkey sandwich was the best he ever had from a restaurant and when I called because I wasn't perfectly pleased with my sandwich, (I am very picky and super hard to please) they asked me if I would mind coming back for a free of charge fresh sandwich? No arguments, just a "please how can we make this right for you?" So I am going home beyond pleased with 2 sandwiches AND a free refill on my drink. Thank you so much Aman & Maria etc. We'll see you tomorrow 😊
I love Togo's. The Italian (mini) is perfect for a quick lunch. And a great value for $4. My all time favorite is #9 The Pastrami. In 1971, Mike Cobler, then a San Jose State student, founded what became the Togo's chain of sandwich shops, offering lots of meat and prices starting under a dollar. He sold the business in 1997.
Just watched the girls behind the counter be complete rock stars!!! Nurse Karen comes into a busy store demanding her pick up order despite what are obviously other people waiting ahead of her. And then she misinterprets the girl's accent for rudeness and asks for her name to, I assume, ”tell her manager". The girl apologizes (she didn't need to at all!) The owner should be proud of their staff; they were respectful, kind and exhibited an inspiring level of calm.
Fresh and delish sandwiches made to order. Hot pastrami or turkey and avacado are my faves. This time, I ordered the club with turkey, ham, bacon on sourdough. Really good!
The workers here were great! Some dude walked in front of me to pay, paid for his sandwiches which cost more, and then walked out with mine before anyone realized and could flag him down, so if corporate sees this and gets a complaint, it's not your workers' fault.

Upholding the TOGO standard of quality food at a reasonable price. The only reason I rate this store 4 stars instead of 5 is because the eat-in area is quite dark and worn, giving it a kind of depressing feel.
Really enjoyed the turkey club sandwich they have. It can take a few more minutes than subway but it always tastes a lot better. They have some of the best bread I have had at a sandwich shop.
Came to this place with my husband for lunch, the food was okay. My sandwich was falling apart. I was expecting to be really good since a lot of people recommend this place.

Daily deals are great, and pick two is pretty good as well. Meats are tasty. Staff needs to improve. It's often slow and they have a lot of trouble handing a large crowd at lunch. Seem slower and less helpful than they should be with three people in the front. The counter is high and it's impossible (for normal sized humans) to see the topping choices, which also slows down the ordering process. Limited indoor seating.
If three out of four is your goal, I guess they did well. My family's sandwiches were all good. I ordered their new chicken pubgrill sandwich. It was a smashed little mess without a stitch of the avocado that's supposed to come on the sandwich. I ordered online thinking we could avoid mistakes. Guess I was wrong. To think I actually tipped these people. Not real happy.

Unfortunately it was end of business day, I ordered the sandwich of the day which was made hastily with several errors. Given the employees were in a rush I didn’t feel comfortable asking for it to be made. I love TOGO’s but this day in particular was a miss.
Looks like it's under new management. A lot of the seating was taken out inside and completely gone outside, making it seem like they don't want you to stay and eat. I used to love going to this place with my husband on our day off, but now we will be finding a new sandwich place to go to. I'm all about supporting local owners, but you should definitely have more people working during the lunch rush, and not having a little girl working behind the counter. The guy seems like a very hard worker, so it's very unfortunate the place isn't ran as smoothly as it used to.
The food was ok. I felt limited on sauces, no oil or vinegar? And my sandwich barely had any Mayo on it. It was dry. The meat was plopped in the middle so I had to open it back up to spread it out, no biggie. Also, the banana peppers are whole and not sliced. Weird. Customer service was poor. The guy that made my sandwich treated me like I was such a bother and was annoyed Everytime I asked a question( first time in). I ordered with a drink and chips and didn't bother to give me my cup. I was really craving Subway's sandwiches and customer service after. Too bad! Maybe it'll be better next time. It was one of those days I guess.
I ordered ham, turkey and salami. I belong to the TOGOS CLUB. I spent $12.00 gave cashier my telephone number-- register would not open. I waited and repeated...same thing. No receipt....then I look at my account...NO POINTS! Do you realize how hard it is to acquire $50.00 in one month per individual in order to save $5.00 -- AND TO NOT GET CREDIT! SHAKING MY HEAD NO! I want my points!!!!! Not leaving without receipt next time...
Unfortunately we have not had great luck each time we've come here. It might just be luck of the draw. We hadn't come in a year. 1 sandwich took 20 minutes... I'm pretty patient but this was cray. Way too much mustard in my Sammie too. The guy was new. Prob won't come again :(
Staff was horribly rude to the elderly man in front of us. Made fun of him to each other (they must not have known I was watching) as he tried to figure out the card reader. I can't say much else because I walked out instantly. Hire better staff. Not stupid kids with no sense of respect.

Folks were really nice here, and I'm sorry this review isn't better. This just isn't the Togo's I know. While the ingredients were fresh enough, the location wasn't especially tidy, and the portion of filling vs. bread was more Subway than Togo's. Protein was scarce - and it was fairly measured so no one was specifically skimping. Must be franchise law? Somewhere the chain fell into that profit/loss void so, after 20+ years of loyalty, we won't be back. Perhaps if you're new to this chain store sandwich you won't be disappointed.
I went in at about 2pm on a Saturday. There was only 1 person in front of me and they ordered 1 sandwhich. There were 3 workers and it took them 45 minutes to make my sandwhich. When I ordered a drink and paid for it, they put my credit card and my receipt in the drink cup and handed it to me. Unsanitary and frustrating experience
We ordered a to go order online. 4 items. 2 salads. 1 wrap. 1 new pretzel sandwich. The order was supposed to be ready in 25 minutes, it was, but made wrong. The lady said no problem, she'll remake the salad and the wrap. She just didn't mention that she'd do it after making other peoples sandwiches. So thirty minutes later, my girlfriend was heading home. I had asked, via unchecking the box online, for no cilantro on the wrap. It had it. The Asian salad had the southwest corn chips on top instead of wonton strips. I don't reccomend doing a take order there. Maybe eating there if anything is wrong you can have them fix it. Good luck. I will not go back.
