Mr. Pickle’s Sandwich Shop Pleasanton Reviews
Always a winning choice going to Mr. Pickles! The whole was please with their food and despite having a larger party we served quickly and efficiently. Highly recommend the dutch crunch roll!
My guilty-pleasure sandwich spot in Pleasanton! The Hot T is a little bit messy but the perfect mix of sweet, spicy, and savory. I would recommend the Dutch crunch bread for any sandwich
Great sandwich, great flavor and great bread!

Great sandwich, great flavor and great bread!
Great sandwiches. Absolutely love the Italian and definitely recommend it. The pastrami is also quite good. I typically have some modifications to the sandwiches (e.g. hold the garlic sauce), and they have always gotten the order correct.
This sandwich shop was favorably recommended by colleagues and I see why. The Italian on French roll was great!! If all Mr. Pickles provide the same quality, I will definitely go to one located near me.👍🏻
The food was ready at the time requested, wonderfully packed. I was even able to keep everything from blowing in the wind. (picnic lunch) Everyone enjoyed the sandwiches! Definitely ordering again!
This place is awesome! Mr. Pickles sandwiches are universally good at every location I've been too and this one is no exception. The people that work here are also rock stars! I come here basically every day and they have no bad days. Any day of the week they will make you a sandwich that says "we care". And they do.
Delicious! 🥒 But we did a pick up order and ordered through Uber eats, which had menu prices that were $3 more per sandwich. Lesson learned. Highly recommend ordering via Mr Pickles' website instead of the third party services noted on their Google Maps listing. (And it'd be great if whoever manages the store's profile would update the "Order Online" info to include a link to the website!)
The staff is always incredibly friendly and take care to make everything exactly to order and wrap it carefully and tightly when we get it to go. Food tastes great. Always happy when we eat here.

Best sandwiches in town. Friendly staff and always welcoming you with a smile. Ensure to include the “The Works”.
Not freakin bad! Good bread, made to order (and correctly), friendly courteous staff, and good music. Ain’t gonna lie, the cookie was pretty lame, and also if one of your party orders a gluten free wrap you should have the SA to not give them a chocolate chip cookie, but otherwise I’d put this Mr. Pickles up against any average Togo’s, and it kills a Quiznos hands down. Note, there’s another mainstream sandwich spot that doesn’t even deserve a mention in this review. Good stuff!

Sandwiches are really good, but ironically the pickles kind of suck. Service is decent and certainly adequate for a counter-service restaurant. Overall, since the sandwiches are the star of the show, I would absolutely recommend this spot (but you should probably buy your pickles elsewhere).

I placed an online order.2 Sandwiches and a kids meal. Upon picking up my order I looked in my back and had no cookies and only a sandwich. Mind you a kids meal comes with a cookie and applesauce. When I go inside I ask what comes in the order and it’s repeated back to me. I said I do not have any of those items in my bag. All I got was sorry we ran out… So why did I pay for the full thing when I don’t get all the items??!!! Rip off. Check your order every time. Not only that.. she failed to tell me they were out and did not include any option so they expected me to leave with less and hope I don’t notice until I am home? I had a request to cut into 4 pieces from the usual 2 and I had no lettuce and it came with it. this is Worse customer service. Update: The owner reached out to me through email from their customer service survey. He apologized on behalf of his employee and stated they had a busy weekend and had low stock of everything and he was out of town. I was fully refunded on my order. I am willing to give this place another shot, but will try in person to avoid any online order issues and paying for things that they do not have in store. The owner was quick and timely in resolving the issue so for his customer service I will increase my stars but will update when I visit again.

Before rating I actually tried this place three times this week. My first sandwich this week was very good… the only issue was missing bacon and cookie. Considering bacon is not free to add on I am little upset that I paid for bacon and didnt get any. 2nd sandwich was missing garlic sauce and had onions after I said no onions. So it was unpleasant and I couldnt finish it. I also asked for extra lettice and that’s not what I got. 3rd sandwich was missing avocado and pepperchini again avocado isnt a free add on yet I paid for avocado that was suppose to be included in my sandwich. The price of food isnt cheap and I paid for these sandwiches and expected what I paid for and did not get that. Customer service… Was unimpressed with customer service. On their busiest time I can understand because I have worked in a sandwich shop but two of those times were empty and no one looked up to acknowledge me and no one greeted me. The only thing said was pick up? One person had really long hair and I don’t particularly care about hair styles etc but every time he looked down his hair fell forward over his face and then he had to tilt back to get them out and I could only imagine looking up and down is common when making food .. no hair tie or hair net? No hair was in my food just a concern for future orders. Bottom line everyone looked like they were over it, pissed off or tired and believe that the lack of quality in their service is representing in their food.

Beyond disappointed. Looked forward to our fav sandwiches. First time trying Ptown. Yuk. The bread was sweeter than a cookie and the cookie baked to break teeth. I’ll cruise back to Livermore for the real thing next time.

The high school kids who work here don’t listen to your directions. Ordered on DoorDash and asked no tomatoes. Dutch crunch roll and peperoncinis. They did all of that wrong. Didn’t listen to anything just made it how they wanted. When I picked it up they were both on their phones. My girlfriend ordered pepper Jack cheese on hers and they didn’t give her ANY cheese.
Unfortunately I was really disappointed with our visit to Mr. Pickles. My fiance and I came back to this shop after having it years ago and were really excited. However, this experience is not what we remember Mr. Pickles being. We came early (11am) and we're the only people there. Our sandwiches took over 15 minutes to make. My fiance ordered a Hang Loose on and I ordered a French Dip. Both of our sandwiches were served on stale bread. After waiting for our sandwiches to be made, I was told that they were out of cups for the Au Jus sauce, and weren't able to serve me any, so I had no dip for my French Dip sandwich. The complimentary cookies we were offered were as hard as rocks, so we didn't even get to eat them. We loved Mr. Pickles growing up so we are really sad that it wasn't how we remember! Not to mention we paid $30 for two medium sandwiches and nothing else.
Restaurant looks nice. Professional staff. But seriously, a 1/2 sandwich costs $10 and is 4"?!? If it tasted remarkable, I might only reconsider based on price, but the chicken with hot sauce sandwich lacked any pop, was missing tomatoes, and had a rather sparing amount of chicken. The only positive was a free greasy cookie that was included, which I gobbled up after failing to find enough in that 4" offering. I will not repeat at a Mr. Pickle.
Floors extremely dirty. Sloppy presentation inside. No PBJ, no Goombah, no Italian sandwiches. Female manager argumentative and not helpful. Employees seem like they hate their jobs and their lives.
Like the countless other negative reviews here, I also used to be a regular and have decided to go elsewhere now. When their bread is fresh, it's great. But, their service has gotten worse and worse, and the delays in getting my sandwich average over an hour now. The employees will push the estimated time to about an hour after order. This happens no matter when I order. This allows them to let the ticket sit there for 50 minutes and then make the sandwich then. The problem is that no other restaurant I order from does this. So I don't think to order an hour ahead for lunch. I had been eating here almost weekly, but each time I would arrive 45 to 50 minutes after placing the order, I'd get a smart alec comment from one of them that they still had time according to the ticket. This happens even when it's not crowded there. There was a heavyset female today with a shrill voice who gave me attitude about asking about my order 50 minutes after I ordered it (because she still had 10 minutes according to the ticket). Then when I came back in 10 minutes later, she yelled at all of us about covid guidelines and some of us needed to wait outside. I left again, without our sandwiches, and this time it was for good. After reading all the other reviews with the exact same complaints, it's clearly a management issue. I'm only giving it an extra star because a couple of employees there are friendly, and when the bread isn't stale, it's quite good. (Response to the owner's response. I placed my order at 11:05am. The predicted time of completion is 12:10 and he's defending that? Also I find it interesting that instead of replying to the email I sent trying to resolve this before leaving this review, he ignores my email and chooses to respond to the review. He has confirmed my decision not to come back was the right one.)
