Pizzeria La Rocca Poncarale Reviews
Always delicious pizza
One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten!
We stopped by chance, in a hurry, and without a reservation! What can I say... Exceptional! The owner managed to fit us in, and within 10 minutes, we were already enjoying an excellent pizza! Kudos to the entire staff, who were extremely organized and kind. Our only regret... We live too far away to return anytime soon... Greetings from Venice!
One of the best pizzerias in Brescia. Polite and kind staff. The raw materials are of excellent quality. Clean and tidy environment, with a very well-kept and maintained exterior. Highly recommended.
Excellent pizza...good food...impeccable, fast and friendly service
Super
Andiamo spesso in questa pizzeria, per boi la miglior pizza non napoletana di Brescia. Impasto estremamente gradevole
Ottima pizza ma non solo, locale confortevole, bel patio esterno ben rinfrescato in estate ottimo servizio, ormai meta fissa, tra i miei preferiti, consigliato
I've been going for years, and their tastes have been consistent over the years. Inside, it's a classic Brescian pizzeria, with a nice patio and a bit of greenery. Thin pizza, not Neapolitan, is good, with good mozzarella and tomato sauce, and the dough is also good, not rubbery. You can ask for a medium schiacciata, which I find to be the most reasonable price, or a regular schiacciata, which costs double the price of the pizza you choose. They do other dishes at normal restaurant quality. Prices are normal.
The pizza has a unique dough. I can't really describe it exactly, except that the consistency is more similar to bread dough than pizza dough, both at the base and the crust, which is kept small. It's well-seasoned with whatever topping you choose, and that's an added bonus for me. I had one of the best pizzas with calamari (fried). The calamari didn't overpower the rest of the flavor, not being overly salty as is often the case. It's worth noting that the fried ingredients are really well done, resulting in a flavorful yet light and dry pizza. The buffalo mozzarella pizza with sweet salami is also a good choice, although the salami obviously adds a decidedly more assertive touch to the pizza. The desserts are noteworthy, and the tiramisu is excellent. The atmosphere is classic, typical of "rustic" pizzerias that focus on substance over aesthetics. The outdoor veranda adds a more unique and intimate touch. The service is quick, and there's always someone on hand to accommodate every request in a very short time. The prices are fair, I'd say.
Chiamata all’ultimo momento per prenotare alla Rocca. Volevamo tornarci dopo 20 anni su consiglio di un amico. La signora gentilissima ci trova un tavolo nonostante sia praticamente tutto pieno. Arri…
Good location: dined outside (a few flies were swarming), quick and pleasant service...the pizza was very thin, crispy on the palate, quite pleasant! Whole wheat pizza with zucchini and shrimp, with a little mozzarella...not very tasty, but that's a purely subjective opinion. The others apparently were much better!
Let me start by saying I'm a regular customer. I ordered a carbonara, asking for a large one. The bill was presented to me for a portion and a half (16 + 8 = 24 euros). When I pointed out that the price for seafood linguine had been added, I was told it costs the same. A plate of pasta, a bottle of water, and a dessert for 36 euros seems truly excessive. Of course, all of this was printed on an "internal document."
Rudeness personified, I'm a waitress and I know what it's like to work a Sunday night shift... but customer service is the first thing you're told when you start this job, too bad the owner doesn't know anything about it... I called more than 6 times before getting an answer, and as soon as I managed to get through to the owner, I was told, "The least of our problems is the phone ringing, ma'am." Too bad it's the first impression on the phone that really entices the customer, eh? Horrible service and equally awful pizza.
Truly awful food, horrendous and of poor quality (hair found on the pizzas) we even have photos that can attest and document everything, and that the dishes were not to our liking, we reported it right away, and I honestly don't understand why the talk about the bitters ???? Are you serious ???? What do bitters have to do with it, whoever has to spend 200 euros on a dinner (a steal by the way for what we got, very expensive) obviously has to spend on bitters too, we didn't come there to beg for your bitters!!! Our criticisms only hurt because they are real and reliable, accept them and that's it!!!! Rude staff especially the rude and arrogant owner! I hope they come with NAS or serious checks as soon as possible and that the owner changes his job, okay!!!!
