1st time in town. Saw the sign from the main street & looked inviting..Waitress / barkeep was working alone & it was a nice size crowd. She was very friendly & quick with the (previous table) orders and She listened to our order & we were set! The food came out in a timely manner & was delicious! Food cooked perfectly & she checked on us for accuracy & more drinks. She cleaned the other tables efficiently & joked with others... She is truly an asset to the place.. Everyone was happy. Nice clean place / has slot machine area and large TVs that were great to watch some football . Aways from home (2 hours..but we'll make sure we go back!) Right across from Bicycle statue!

Port Byron has some great scenic views of the Mississippi River. I really haven't taken advantage of them enough - I mostly just drive on through to and from work. This particular Friday, however, I needed to take it easy before really starting for the day, i.e. grab some lunch, ponder the day for a bit etc. With that in mind I decided lunch at Ram's Riverhouse was in order before getting to work for the afternoon. I needed a burger in between work at home and doing stuff at site. There are only about three or so blocks of businesses along both sides of Main Street in Port Byron - this place is situated near the Southern end of this strip with a pretty great view of the river. I can envision sitting out at one of the small outdoor tables in the summer, just taking in the Riverfront with a few beers and a sandwich of some type. It's a little cold right now though, so I opted for indoor seating. The inside of Rams is an interesting combination of the past few decades. The space itself looks very new - clean wood laminate floors, drop ceiling, a TouchTunes machine, and the usual set of video slots that I think pretty much all bar/restaurants in Illinois are legally obligated to have now. There's also a multicade from the 80s right near the front entrance, as well as a not insignificant collection of Riverdale Rams items behind the bar. The name of the bar is starting to make sense now... I opted for a soda and a burger of the BYOB variety with bacon, pickles and onions. The burger was out to me within 10 minutes of ordering. It's one of the better burgers I've had at a bar recently. There was nothing fancy about it, just a solid burger with some tasty toppings. The bun was a stand-out in this case however - the little bit of frying on the grill top with some butter took things to the next level. It had those slightly crispy buttered bread bits on it - always a nice addition to a burger! As with some of the other places along Main Street, I want to come back in the summer when it's a little warmer and I can sit outside. I look forward to this return visit. Thanks Rams Riverhouse!

What an absolutely perfect pit stop! We were traveling from California to Pennsylvania along the 80, in a hurry and decided it was time to sit down and have a meal- I cannot tell you how happy we were to stumble upon rams riverhouse, only 5 minutes off the highway, plenty of parking in the CUTEST town, quality food served with smiles, we sat outside on a lucky cool enough evening, and were delighted to enjoy a meal looking at the Mississippi River. We happened to sit down within a few minutes of one of the partial owners and had the most pleasant conversation. 10/10 recommend!

This place was definitely worth our short drive off the interstate. I had the Cuban and the smoked pork was awesome. Ladies split the tenderloin and it was just as good. Prices where reasonable for a late lunch. Very clean and nice bar & restaurant. This will be our go to spot from now on when in the area.

Gator bites were bit greasy and tough but still not bad. Grilled chicken sandwich was great. Be sure to get some cheese sauce for those homemade fries. We will be back!

Nice little place with a view of the river. Friendly staff. They have added an open bar to the street so you can get the breeze and look at the river. Now they have In-house Breaded Pork Tenderloins. Good size and flavor. 7/10.

They have this new inside outside bar thing looks so welcoming and fun. I didn't get the opportunity to go over since I was at the tug fest but looked really nice! I gave 4out of 5 because I didn't go and can't speak about the service or food. I will try soon though looks great really need more stuff like this around the area.

Since we live close to Rams riverhouse, my husband and I decided to stop in and have lunch. He ordered their buffalo wings and fries. He said the fries were really good and the buffalo wings were good just not spicy enough. They had really good flavor. Maybe extra sauce might have made them more spicy? I had a chef salad with ham. The salad was quite a bit larger than I expected with all different types of leaf lettuces excluding iceberg. Tomatoes cheese and just the perfect amount of onion not to overpower the salad. We will go back. UPDATE - We have been back several times. There hasn't been any thing we haven't liked. LOVE the seasoned tator tots! Staff is friendly and helpful. We will continue to stop for lunch or dinner.

3rd time eating here. I like the Taco salad here. I don't normally complain but the taco salad i had on Sunday was the worst I had ever. It was a handful of lettuce a little bit of cheese and I could hardly find any meat. Not sure what happened here, but we won't be back unfortunately.

Bartender was very rude! That was Sunday August 17th, 2025. We didn't even finish one beer.

Came here to try their food during tug fest and the owner was wasted and extremely rude and unprofessional. She misplaced $100 and proceeded to look at me and my friends table, who are also business owners, and accuse us while pointing. Horrible establishment.

I went there special because of there adds on the Erie radio. Got there the waitress seated me order a beer and she brought me a menu. She sent the next 10 minutes talking to her friends by the window. I was ready to leave. she came over and asked if I was ready to order I said for the last 10min. She gave me a funny look and took my order. The food was okay and not what the menu said. Food portion were okay. Seen her 2 times during the meal. During all this time she was hanging out with her friends by the window. When I new customer or someone you never seen before comes in wouldn't you try and make them feel welcome so they will come back? I guess not. When I left some lady said thanks for coming. No I idea who she was could of been a owner???? The local people talked to me and met a young boy Logan and his dad Justin good people. Sorry I won't be coming back.

Had a very difficult experience here. Short staffed and unprepared. Many food items were "out" (no chicken) and the service took 90 minutes to receive our food. Should probably have closed their kitchen that night if they couldn't keep pace with the customers. Sandwich was supposed to have cheese...did not get cheese 🤦
