Hudson Valley Falafel Poughkeepsie Reviews
Really delicious! Decided to order takeout delivery from door dash and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. Very fresh and vibrant flavors. My wife got a gyro with hummus and I got the chicken shawarma Sandwich with rice. Everything was perfectly seasoned and the portions were ample. Will definitely be a repeat customer!
10/10! You can tell the food is made with love. I originally came to pick up homeade baklava, (so hard to find now adays). I was hungry and decided to try the combo meal with chicken. I took it to go, so I was entirely surprised when I got home to see a meal large enough for 3 -4 people. The price for portion and quality is more than fair. I literally heard music....when I tried the baklava. Flavors are super prominent, and the baklava is not overly sweet, and the food is not overly salty. Not to mention the staff were helpful, patient, and friendly.
My husband and I had an amazing lunch at Falafel today! The falafel was absolutely delicious, crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned on the inside. The hummus was perfect with an homemade touch! Every bite was full of flavor. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty meal in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Can’t wait to return! Maritza
I haven’t eaten at this place in several years and it was worth a return visit. I just got the falafel sandwich *the works* for takeout. The falafel itself was very good, for my taste, the sandwich could have had more tahini on it (note to self ask for extra on the side next time. And yes, there will be in next time.) and even though I was asked about my hot sauce preference and responded “ a little ” it was quite spicy. (if you have ever wondered what a run-on sentence is, this is it) Anyway, good service, nice dining area, you can sit inside or outside and there is a large menu on which just about anyone should be able to find something they like.
Walked in for Saturday afternoon lunch excellent food open kitchen family run place The falafels are absolutely fresh homemade All the spreads are homemade, fresh, light and fluffy with no astringent preservative taste. Loved the feta fries ask- for them to be extra crispy Tabbouleh is delish too Enjoy !
I’ve came here many times and the experience is always exceptional. It’s absolutely beautiful in here. The food is amazing! 10/10 recommend the falafel sandwich and over rice. The chicken over rice is another go to! The service provided is always immaculate! Thank you to the team here, all of you are great!
Falafel Town is Great food. It's been since the 90s in NYC since I've had a falafel. These were even better than I remembered. Portions are good sized. I'm leaving with leftovers which is saying something. Can't wait for my friend from the city come visiting, I'll be ordering from here. I know they will love this place too. I can't forget I like the decor to Falafel Town too.
Super clean, prompt service, most important: authentic, DELICIOUS food. What a gem to discover accidentally! Location is not visible from the Route 9 side. It has been a long time since I've enjoyed truly authentic falafel and... pure heaven, actual Arabian coffee. My shukshuka was perfect. Prices are very reasonable. I'm very pleased and looking forward to returning.
Good food and reasonable price. Restaurant is clean and staff are super nice, friendly, helpful. Food was REALLLY good. Gyro was seasoned well and lamb meat delicious. The Feta fries were also great, simple yet delicious. Menu has a good selection, Definetly one of the better middle eastern places I’ve been to. Recommend it if your looking for something Different in the area
We were visiting Poughkeepsie and wanted to have lunch ... did some google research for halal restaurants in the area and this had the best reviews. It was $30 for 2 of us: 2 chicken shawarmas, 1 order of falafels and 1 drink. Falafels tasted fresh and were delicious. Shawarmas were good but a lot of sauce dripping from it. I would Go again if in the area for the falafels alone!
This place is more of deli and grab and go place. The food is good not great. The drinks are good but not excellent. The alcohol drinks not good. It' s not tasty or strong. There no in between niether. The waitress and waiters are friendly but not attentive. It's a small place. I wouldn't recommed this place for familiar. This is not greatest place to get authentic greek food. This place is good if your hungry and need some food quick. it's fair in price
I ordered food to pick up thinking that the food would be fresh. Upon opening up my order at home, my pita chips smelled like old oil. The Hummus container looked like all the water evaporated to the surface which made the container look like it was wet. In my opinion it was probably sitting all day not kept at proper temperature. The rice over the shawarma beef including the beef tasted old definitely not fresh. I definitely don’t think I will be returning to this restaurant. I would not recommend it.
