This Mom and Pop pizza place is awesome. Pure good vibes as soon as I walked in with the peppy hostess and even the customers outside on their way home were smiling at me. Filippi's has a very neat, clean and well decorated style. The pizza tastes homemade with quality ingredients by someone who knows what they're doing, verses a chain company. I'm definitely coming back here to try more items on the menu, especially their desserts.

Pizza is always delicious. We order the large white pizza and add sausage, olive and onion and it was over $60 for that one pizza. No thanks. The waitress was an older white lady and couldn't understand our order. She got really upset and frustrated and then I got frustrated. We should have just left then , but my mother in law was hungry.

Huge proportions. My 1/2 Lasagna + Meat Ball arrived quickly but could have been a bit hotter so minus 1 ⭐️. My server Angel was helpful, attentive, and efficient.

Pizza is heaven! They put the cheese on last. I've been missing a good Italian place. That being said wasn't to big of a fan of the meatball subs, there's to much seasoning in the meatball. Tasted like a sausage instead of a meat ball. Definitely coming back for more pizza!

This was my first visit to this location. I've been to the downtown location twice and another location in Chula Vista. The atmosphere was chill, but soon turned busy as soon as we were seated. We ordered the Fit for a King Large which was more than adequate for 3 people with leftovers. The bottom of the crust was a little hard but the top was loaded with lip smacking cheese, veggies, and meat. For easy cutting its best to let the pizza sit for a bit, don't worry it will still be hot and gooey. Staff were BUSY, but sweet, and accommodating. Lunch specials looked good, but we were in for the dinner crowd, there was plenty of parking but the parties coming in were in groups of 4 and more. Plenty of space to accommodate the dinner rush.

If you’re in the mood for a hefty Italian meal then this is the place. Food is consistent with other locations. Generous servings , tasty and full of cheese so make sure you can handle it. The service was great, ample parking out back but can get full on busy evenings.

We went there recently for the first time. Ordered 3 medium special pizza, Fit for a king, the works, and vegetarian special. It was okay pizza. I have had better pizza. Lots of cheese. You can’t tell which pizza is which because of heavy cheese. The service and atmosphere were good. I would probably not go back.

I’ve not eaten at a Filippi’s in quite a while and never before at this Poway location. Despite the very competent and friendly service by Angel, the food bordered on inedible. I had the chicken parmesan dinner. Chicken was rubbery and had almost no flavor. The sauce was bland. The accompanying spaghetti was overcooked to the point of mush. Same with the included minestrone soup. Garlic bread was flavorless. I strongly recommend staying away from this place.

So sad to give one of our favorite Italian restaurants three stars. Let's start with the cons and I'll end with the pros about our recent dining visit. First off our favorite items is Chicken Alfredo. Four of us asked to order that but they said that they were all out. No problem we could live with that. We order a pizza and spaghetti dishes. Simple Right? Well unfortunately we found out after waiting about an hour and a half that they totally forgot about our order🙁 We had to ask and they said that the order slip somehow got lost in the shuffle. Our whole order was disregarded. They offered to not charge us for the pizza but we still paid $50.00 for the rest of the food. If I was the manager, I would of waved our whole bill. But oh Well! The pros are that later on that evening when they finally made our food, it was pretty good. Will we visit again? Most likely yes but we are sill kinda hurt.

I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant, and unfortunately, the biggest issue was the staff’s attitude. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. We notified the front desk that we would be a bigger party but we weren’t sure exact amount since they were all rolling in. He seemed very irritated and stated that they were very busy and didn’t know if they would be able to accommodate. We notified him that we didn’t mind waiting. We weren’t in any rush. We ended up being about 14. When we were sat, there wasn’t a SINGLE table in the entire section that was even occupied. So I don’t know if he was trying to deter us or what. But they WERE NOT BUSY! Then we asked for separate checks which would only been 4 and our served stated because we were “walk -in” and not a reservation, she wouldn’t be able to do separate checks. This made zero sense! We have been here before when we have tournaments locally. We’ve had separate checks in a walk in experience before. So if this was HER preference that’s one thing. But the inconsistency is frustrating. No matter how good the food might have been, the rude and unprofessional behavior completely ruined the experience. Customer service matters, and sadly, this place fell far below even basic expectations. We won’t be returning. And this definitely won’t be our first option when we have tournaments locally.

Horrible. Ordered 2 pizzas and three lasagna dinners. Went to the car and checked the order and there was only 1 lasagna and two containers with just one meatball in each container. Manager told me that I was a liar and if he gave free food to everyone he would get in trouble. I said I wasn't lying and you're not giving me free food as I spent $132.00. He just said " I don't know that" Never going back to the Poway location.

I grew up in this town and have been coming to this particular Filippi’s for nearly a decade, and the quality has been getting steadily worse since I was young. Today was the final straw. I ordered a pizza to go, (generally I prefer to dine in) on a relaxed, not busy, Wednesday night. I called on the phone and the girl was EXCEPTIONALLY rude. I noticed right away her terrible attitude. She talked like an aggressively bored teenager that hated her job. After telling her my order and giving her my info, she told me it would be ready in 30 minutes and hung up. When I arrived only about 15 minutes later, I wasn’t greeted or helped at the counter for a few minutes, despite the restaurant being quite empty. Eventually she came over to the counter and asked what I wanted, I told her my name and I was picking up a pizza. She said nothing, just walked away. I was shocked to see she was clearly not a teenager, but an adult with the same awful attitude. A few moments later she brought out my pizza, and told me the price. $32 for a large pizza blew me away a little bit, but I suppose it is a family restaurant… I opened the box to find this monstrosity below. What in gods name happened here? Highly disappointed in this restaurant. Terrible service, and what a ridiculous end result. The pizza tasted…. Fine. It was fine. So mid it hurt. If you’re in poway and want pizza, go to Rosarias instead.

Just stopped by randomly without checking the Google photos for this place. Even though the ambiance is good if you want to die of heart attack on a pizza this is the place. Here cheese isn’t on top of pizza , little pizza is under the cheese . Ohh topping you can forget about it that needs to be excavated from under the cheese graveyard. The ambience of the place is though really great perfect for a nice family/friends gathering , shame that you get cheese monster in the name of pizza
