Il Cigno Primaluna Reviews
Yesterday my family and I spent New Year's Eve at this restaurant and we had a really great time. From the food to the staff, they were incredibly friendly. We played bingo and received some gifts from them—a lovely initiative. At midnight, they put on a show outside with fireworks and stars for everyone, followed by a toast and panettone for everyone. It was truly a pleasure, we'll be back.
It was my first time passing through Primaluna and stopping at Il Cigno pizzeria. My first impression was positive: a large parking lot with two entrances. The interior is well-kept and tidy; both the owner and the waiter were kind and attentive. I ordered the pizza, and I must say it was very good, even compared to pizzas from other places outside the area; it's truly delicious and I enjoyed it. I had a beer and then I ordered fries, and shortly after they were brought out in a small frying basket (obviously a presentation basket), a nice way to present the fries, golden and delicious. I ate very well and I recommend anyone passing by to stop by and discover how hospitality, good food, and savoir-faire can make your lunch break even more enjoyable. Kudos to the pizza chef, the waiter, and the owner. Enjoy your lunch, everyone. 👍👍👍
A restaurant with truly delicious and well-prepared seafood (the owner and chef is a native of Monopoli), exquisite first courses, meat dishes, and excellent pizza. I've been coming here for years and it's never disappointed. Clean atmosphere, friendly and fast service, impeccable bathrooms. Excellent prices. Recommended.
Great food, excellent atmosphere, superb value! So we ended up, somewhat randomly, in Introbio for our visit to Northern Italy, and there we found Il Cigno in Primaluna, the town adjacent to Introbio. We arrived in the evening just after it opened, with no reservation. The place filled up rather quickly, which is a good sign, so a reservation might be a good idea. (We didn't have one, and that was no problem). We were serviced immediately by a very friendly waitress and drinks were delivered promptly. On the table was a note which read something like "if you're in a hurry, this might not be the best place to eat, as we make everything from scratch". We found this to be a completely unnecessary warning as the food was delivered WELL within acceptable time for an evening meal. If you dont't have time to wait for quality food and atmosphere, then perhaps you really should go elsewhere. There are fast food joints in Lecco, for instance, for this purpose. This is a place I'd recommend anyone in the Introbio/Valsassina/Lecco area to check out, we fell completely in love with the place on our first visit! We will definitely come back ❤️
Highest recommendations, the food is very tasty and high quality. The service is very great. A real Italian restaurant. And the desserts are some of the most delicious I've ever tasted in Italy. We ate pizza and linguini with seafood, the pizza was perfect, not too thick, with enough topping on top. The pasta didn't look impressive at first glance, but the taste was impeccable, the balance of pasta and seafood was ideal, the pasta was very high quality and delicious. The wine, like everywhere in Italy, is delicious. The service is very fast and friendly.
A truly nice restaurant in a hidden gem of a location. We booked our accommodation in Primaluna, only 30 minutes away from Varenna. We had a local cheese plate (really nice selection), a green salad, and then pasta with seafood and risotto. Each one of them was really good. They also have a large variety of pizzas. The service was really nice, especially as we don’t speak Italian. Cheers to Roberto for such a nice recommendation😊 It was also very quite inside, which was definitely a change😃
Ok
Real nice place. Good food
We randomly stopped for dinner here and were very pleased with the atmosphere, the service, and the food. Our grilled fish was excellent, and the pizzas were large and delicious. The prices are very reasonale. Highly recommended.
Very nice staff, good pizza!
A simple yet elegant and refined restaurant. The fried calamari was excellent; I've never tried anything like it anywhere else. First courses, second courses, and fish were all delicious and carefully prepared by the chef. The service was also very good... knowledgeable and friendly staff... and the desserts were delicious, made directly by the chef. Excellent value for money. A wide selection of pizzas. The pizzas are wood-fired and excellent for both dining in and takeout. Highly recommended in every way. It's best to book, especially on weekends, otherwise you risk being left empty-handed because it's always packed.
I've been frequenting this place for a while. The pizzeria/restaurant is closed on Wednesdays, but it's a good idea to check the days and hours, especially in the low season. Reservations are recommended. There are two large free parking lots: one right in front of the place and one a few meters away. There are two options for accessing the place: three steps or a short ramp for those with mobility issues or who use a wheelchair. The place consists of two large rooms and is all on one level, as is the bathroom (there are three bathrooms, one of which is accessible and also has a changing table). In the summer, you can have lunch/dinner outside. There are also games for children (in the summer). You can enjoy "traditional" or "special" pizzas; the dishes can be fish-based, meat-based, or varied, so there's something for everyone! Everything is excellent! The desserts are also excellent! The same can be said for the price/quality ratio. The atmosphere is clean, the staff extremely friendly. Given the variety of dishes, desserts, and wines, the restaurant is suitable not only for lunches or dinners, but also for other occasions (birthdays, baptisms, confirmations, weddings, etc.)
Fine dining. Recommended
Never had such a plain pizza in Italy before. No flavours, no emotion - felt like food for kids. Nothing to dislike but nothing to like either. We spent there 15 mins, only ordered two pizzas (we couldn't order anything to drink other than wine 😐 didn't even get a drink menu) and still got charged 3 EUR service fee per person. After such a plain food this just added to the disappointment.
Subject of the low rating: spaghetti with clams. I'll describe what I found on my plate: broken spaghetti, overcooked, served watered down, not even sautéed with the clams. Clams the size of a fingernail. Flavorless. The result is depressing. At 15 euros. Extremely long wait times.
