Bar Mountainroom Primolo Reviews
This is a hidden gem! Aim for the happy hour choices if you're into the whole affordability thing.
The sound in the side room is surprisingly good. There's a lot of peace and the highs are plenty loud. You need ear plugs. I got to open up a set for apple crust that did a takeover here. I think they do a monthly show now. I'd highly recommend it.
Went to a comedy show here. It was so much fun .love the Rainer decor. Great well drinks..(all were local and great tasting..) i definitely recommended this place... also has pool too!!!
Amazing first experience at this bar. Was excited to see what bar was in the Rainier building and The Mountain Room did not disappoint. Loved that we had a chance to take a little tour of the interior, which has some great classic art and decor as well as nice, chill lighting. The area with the pool table was beautiful, but the fireplace drew us in for a drink and a chat. Very happy that we could get cocktails like a Boulevardier, Negroni and an Old Fashioned from the Happy Hour cocktail menu. We plan to be back on Wednesday for those of us that like karaoke and probably again to check out one of the many shows they offer in the venue space, but with a Happy Hour like this one and a great location with parking, we will just be back to hang out when the mood strikes.
I love this place! The drinks are good, and the vibe is very welcoming and fun on karaoke nights. A hidden gem for sure!
The Mountain room is such a cool spot-super cozy with a great vibe. The drinks are awesome and the staff is very friendly and chill. Definitely one of my favorite places to hangout!
Love this place. Good drinks, good food, free pool free parking that’s about all I can ask for 💜
As someone visiting from Milwaukee, the land of crusty (I use that term endearingly) domestic beers, I approve. While PBR may have unfortunately been appropriated from coast to coast last decade, they'll never get to our respective regions' beloved such as Blatz & Hamm's, and Rainier's & Olympia (if they still make it). N/A food rating since I didn't have any during my visit, but looked and smelled amazing. Would not have had to twist my arm much if I hadn't already eaten. The atmosphere is right up my alley: cozy and divey. I stopped in after needing to pass an hour or two down in the area and am glad I did. Cheers. This review was sponsored by a couple, two, three (...) servings of liquid bread. Oh, yah der'hey. You betcha. Also: that fireplace was a nice touch.
Easily the nicest Bar in Seattle/Tacoma! Went here last week for the first time, the atmosphere is amazing, fire pit, mood lighting, pool table and music room. The bar tender was very skilled and was even crafting his own simple syrup on the stove. PLUUS FREE STICKERS!!
Fun old school place! Beer selection was poor but if you’re going there for some good old fashioned Rrrrrainer, you will be happy! Loved the atmosphere! The bartender was out sick when we went in so not sure how good the cocktails are. Definitely worth checking out!
Gorgeous little gem with both gluten free and vegan options— extensive non alcoholic and cocktail options. Free pool, free karaoke, and you can bring your own vinyl on Thursdays. They’re also hosting more events, including sapphic ones and raves. Neat spot and much needed in Seattle broadly! Free parking and wheelchair accessible to boot.
A classic bar keeping with the history of Seattle. If you're in the area this place is worth a stop. See Sam the bartender for a solid drink. I recommend the Olympia Vodka house espresso martini. Loved having the free pool (no water wings necessary). Get a personal pizza you won't be disappointed. Edit: also there is a parking lot with FREE parking
A special place to be. Navigating to the bar is a matter of following some string lights and it led me to a great time at The Mountain Room. The cocktails were great! They have some real chummy names and I came to find out that everything in the bar is as locally sourced as possible. Sam was the bartender and he was attentive, friendly, and charming. The food is awesome. They have Pizzas, Calzones as well as a bar trail mix. The pizza’s we got were the BBQ, and the pesto. Both were delicious. The sizing is 1 to 2 people per pie. Next time I’ll probably get an individual pizza or a calzone. The bar is entirely ran by two people which I find to be crazy but you’d never know from the quality of service we were able to receive. The ambiance and location of the bar are definitely something special. Being inside of a bar directly under the R is pretty cool. The music is played solely on vinyl which is awesome. They have a bunch of vintage memorabilia from all era’s of Ranier beer. Defenitely worth walking around and seeing the rest of the space. There is a large venue space for shows on the other side of a wall to the bar that looks cool and I’ll definitely be back to see what they’re putting on in the future. 100% recommending this hidden gem to all my friends.
The Mountain Room (“The Bar at the R”) is tucked away at the old Rainier Brewery and is really three spaces in one. The front and back bar are filled with amazing Rainier Beer memorabilia. The back room has cozy seating and a billiard table. A great space for a cozy drink or to take over as a group. The main bar has a fireplace, bar, high table and booth seating and the bar serves Rainier and creative Rainier-based drinks but also a variety of cocktails, beer, wine and cider. Food is handmade pizza which was delicious. The largest space is the stage area which is now separated from the bar space to allow for non-show attendees to still enjoy the space. There wasn’t a show the night we attended, but it looks to have a great set up. The versatility of the three spaces along with the wonderful hospitality from Sam and Melinda will bring us back again soon.
Had my bachelorette/birthday party here and it was awesome! It's so cool to see a piece of Seattle history restored and revitalized! Melinda and Sam ( the owners) took great care of our group and made sure we were well fed and had plenty of libations 🍻🍕. There is a back room with a billiard table, comfortable seating, and one of the coolest bathrooms. The front room has a beautiful bar and plenty of places to sit and hang out. Looking forward to our next visit!
Really interesting space, great service, great takes on some classic cocktails. The one thing that sucked was the prices. 3 drinks and a pizza was about $100, for 1 person. So save up your couch cash to come here. 😀
We went here to see a few bands play, and the venue was fine for that. The bar & kitchen were out of quite a few items though; there were quite a few menu items we wanted to try but couldn't. The daiquiri that I had was very tasty though!
The pizza tastes like the bartender took advantage of intoxicated people and implied consent. I get a mother's love but you can't respect someone who raises someone like that.
By far not my favorite bar in Seattle. The pizza is extraordinarily bad, as is the service and some of the clientelle give me very bad vibes. A pizza and a few drinks will run you about $100 here and honestly it’s not worth it.
