Bedawi Cafe Prospect Park West Reviews
Best hummus in NY. Been eating here for years, love their freshly baked pita bread and chicken pizza.
My wife and I finally ate at Bedawi last night and it was great. The food, service, decor and music were all fantastic. The pita was the lightest and freshest we’ve ever had. Bedawi doesn’t serve alcohol but we knew we could bring in our own. We stopped at Windsor Wine Merchants on the way. We can’t wait to go back and sit in their backyard garden under the Bedouin tent.
I have only ordered takeout from Bedawi but the food is incredible. The pitzas, the chicken platter, all of the appetizers...I look forward to dining there in person. So good!
Only restaurant food I order in WT. Can't wait until the weather is nice to enjoy the Bedouin tent styled patio. The cold appetizer platter is enough for 2 - please never change these abundant portions at such a great price! I am addicted to the lentil & bulgur, the chickpeas, and the foul and hummus are as they should be. Always order extra pita though. The food in general is meant for sharing - this is the best place to feed a group of friends or family in Windsor Terrace. Meat-eaters recommend the chicken ouzi. And imho if you see 2 places that serve similar dishes to these, go with the one marketed as Middle Eastern over Mediterranean 😊
Bedawi has perfected their recipes and consistently deliver wonderful food. Always fresh delicious and with great portion size. Thank you for always coming through !
We asked Bedawi to cater a lunch after church. This will not be the last time! The food was delicious, fresh, and plentiful. The price was more than reasonable and the service was spot on. we have a variety of dietary needs and there was something for everyone. Appreciated the delivery option so that we could move directly from church into our lunch meeting. Thanks so much!
Had the loveliest evening in the garden at Bedawi this week. Have always loved their food, but dined there for the first time and wished we’d done so sooner! Our 3 year old loved the space (the fountains!) and the chicken. The owner was so kind - when he heard we were celebrating something he surprised us with baklava.
We’ve been here since it’s open. They have always best food with fresh ingredients. Family own restaurant with friendly service. It has a charming back yard and private room for party. Highly recommended for anyone!
The best place to enjoy an excellent meal in the Park Slope. Everything always fresh and absolutely delicious. Me and my wife are visiting Bedawi Cafe for 15 years since it opened and very happy to live close by so we can enjoy their meals !
Excellent pita breads made in-house, we ordered five assorted cold appetizers hummus, beets, potato, chick peas & spinach and bulgar & lentils, Lahmbajin Pizza and Mixed Medley platter. All were super fresh, beautifully prepared and presented. Felt like we were eating at a treasured relative’s home.
Had a small open party at Bedawi Cafe Restaurant and it was fantastic! the staff were super helpful and made everything easy. we had chicken, lamb, fresh salads, creamy 😋 hummus and delicious baba ghanouj - everything was full of flavor and so fresh. The atmosphere was relaxed and perfect for our gathering. Huge thanks to the team for making it such a great experience. Definitely recommend!
For my birthday I wanted to try somewhere I had not been but that had been on my to try list and Bedawi fit the bill! Having fallen in love with Arabic food in Jerusalem many years ago, I am picky about where I eat it. Bedwai did not disappoint! We ordered a Merguez (ground lamb) Platter and a Chicken Platter. Both the lamb and the chicken were perfectly grilled and flavorfully seasoned. The accompanying baba ghanouj was exceptional and the warm, freshly baked Jordanian style pita bread sealed the deal! The cafe is small and nicely decorated giving patrons, along with the arabic music being played, a sense of being in the middle east. Portions are generous and prices very fair. Highly recommend but get there at an off hour because they fill up quickly!
I was pleasantly surprised, when I entered, by the decor, the fabric on the walls and ceiling. The lighting was perfect. It gave me a cozy and warm feeling. The staff I encountered was very pleasant and helpful with explaining some items on the menu. The food was pleasing to the eye and my taste buds were not disappointed. That Baba Ghanoush was absolutely delicious and bread that accompanied it was perfect. Hubby had the Shrimp Pizza and was blown away by the texture, and taste. He kept talking about the generous amount of shrimp on the pizza. After the mealn we used the restroom and it was nice and clean with some interesting art on the walls. There's also handle bars for those who need it. In all it was a really wonderful experience. We're still talking about this place. It's a very short walk from the Movie Theater thus making it an excellent place to have a meal before or after your show or your walk to the park ( Prospect Park is a stone throw away) or after service since a church is across the street. I saw some guests order plates that came with heaping amount of lamb. I may try that next. The waiter was really friendly and kept the water full. He told us it's BYOB so for those who'd love to it's a cozy slice Mediterranean Heaven in Brooklyn. I'll be back
Enjoyed a quick bite. Was invited to sit and chat with a guest who.loved hot homemade peppers sauce. As we chatter her lamb sharia arrived. She is a regular for this dish. I ordered the falafel sandwich..minus tomatoes. A third guest was ordering...he had wine...a bread basket and hummus... We all ate heartily. The cover back garden was clean and the water fou tains added ambiance. I love spicy food that is well seaaoned...would have love to have more spices and a bit of hot pepper in my falafel. A complimentary glass of mint tea was presented as I chatted with the other guest who invited.me to sit and dine ...when I was just thinking about a take.out.. We chatted about world travels. I was.in the area to visit a new vintage boutique..GIRLS.NEXT DOOR. While I wander around and found bedawi Cafe... Week day happy hour specials. Owner stated meats are grilled. Thus falafel is not cooked in the same.oils as fish and protein. Good vegan and vegetarian options. Handicapped accessible except.for steps.to back yard.. Seating on sidewalk.. Good place.for a quick vegan bite. And takeout is available.
Overall mid 6/10. The ground lamb was spicy but but super flavorful and a little dry. The lamb pita wrap was my favorite. Soft pita, lots of fresh crunchy veggies and a yummy sauce, lamb was a bit tough. If the sauce in the pita was on all the platters it would have been better. The vibe of the garden was really nice; super chill relaxing garden with lots of water fountains. Price is reasonable ~$25 per person.
