Trio Coffee House Quartz Hill Reviews
Ordered the Spanish latte, SO GOOD! Ordered thru their website for pickup, i appreciated that they had my drink in the refrigerator waiting for me. ( i kind of got side tracked and was expecting it to be watered down) to my surprise IT WAS NOT. The staff was very friendly.
Love Trio! Definitely my fav coffee spot! The Iced mazapan was what first made me love it there then I had my first matcha ever with their banana matcha and I’m obsessed now. Such a cute shop too I love the lil coffee cup designs! Amazing drinks and vibes!
I can’t say enough nice things about trio coffee the employees are always so nice and friendly. My coffee is always on point I truly feel it’s the best coffee place in the av.
The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. Fast service and the drinks are delicious!
Matcha was 10/10 Vibes? Immaculate! Such a great coffee spot, the workers are all so kind and the atmosphere very welcoming!
The matcha is my fav! Great local coffee shop however it can get a bit busy but I don’t mind waiting for a good drink
Always amazing Coffee and Matcha drinks and wonderful customer service🫶🏼
I love trio so much it’s so good, they give u a good experience, the food and the drinks makes u wanna go back so that’s why I love trio
Truly a unique experience. Can’t compare to Starbucks or CB and TL. Small enterprise at its best 🙏😎
Amazing drinks and great customer service! Don’t let the review bombers keep you away from this gem of a coffee shop. By far the best coffee and matcha in the AV and it’s not close!
I have been wanting to try out this place for a while now, I went in and got a white mocha latte and a hazelnut latte, the staff were really nice and they were very busy, they were getting drinks out so I understand the wait you can tell that this coffee shop doesn't heat up a pot of coffee and "say here you go", no they actually make you a fresh batch of coffee even if it's for iced coffee and it takes a while but the wait is worth it I highly recommend this place it's very good and you can tell that thier products are fresh and delicious, keep up the good work
Stopped by this morning to give them a shot, and everything was great. I recommend the Iced Hazelnut, I will be coming back.
locals are bummed but still pull their laptops out and live here. the coffee is fine
Great little coffee shop. Been here many times, the staff is always friendly and quick.
Great owners, we've been going to their other location for over a year
Just as dope as Palmdale
Love trio!
Plenty of parking and an easy to find. Came during the week mid day, not too busy. Great friendly staff. We sat outside and they brought our order about 5 minutes tops. My daughter ordered the Matcha and loved it. I ordered an Iced latte. Both drinks were delicious. My daughter also wanted a small bit and ordered the Avocado toast that was good. And she wanted a cookie and was soft and warm. I would come back again.
I love seeing the long line here. It’s worth the wait.
I love this place and the staff so much! The new owners are a beautiful family that put so much love and care into this coffee shop!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting the charming new coffee shop, Trio, and I have to say, it’s an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a team of super friendly staff. I can already tell that Trio is going to become my new go-to spot! If you're in the area, don’t miss out – grab a Blossom Pistachio Latte and enjoy the great service. I can’t wait to come back!
I stop by here every now and then usually in the morning. The parking, AC and lounge are not the best but the food, coffee and customer service is good.
The individual taking my order was so sweet and friendly! She greeted those before me and those after me as I waited for my order. I got an original matcha latte. It was very quick, delicious, and I am excited to come back again to order again. I enjoyed the coffee shop that was at this location before and am grateful there is another to enjoy as well!:)
Have been going to sagebrush for years and was sad that they closed, but I love this new place. Everyone there is very welcoming, helpful, and accommodating to requests. Very unique flavors that are super delicious. So excited to see them grow seeing as they’ve just opened.
Unsure why people aim to tear down small businesses just because they have no patience. Anyway, this place is so great! The staff is very friendly and kind. The drinks are excellent, and I love that they are continuing the legacy that was sagebrush cafe.
Didn't like how I ordered a 2.86 12oz coffee and was charged 4.00 for it. Then when I asked for the same coffee the girl said they didn't have any more would I like an americana as a substitute than for this coffee she charged me the 4.00 correct price. This employee needs to work on better customer service so I dont remind them that they could lose a customer for not providing customer service.
Great little cafe, very kind and understanding workers. Only downside is that wait times can be unpredictable. But it’s definitely worth the wait. 100% recommend to anyone who hasn’t tried it. Best coffee house in the AV.
Way better tasting than the last coffee shop that was here. I was skeptical, not gonna lie. But very impressed. People gotta give the workers at the new store some more grace. It’s only their second location and they’re still figuring out how to manage the small space, remodel, and sassy customers disappointed to find their old go-to coffee spot taken over. The Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte, Dirty Blueberry Chai Tea and Cheese Danish were amazing. Many more exciting things to try. This is the coffee shop I wished Sagebrush tasted like but never did. Was disappointed to see the plants and homey feeling of the last shop ripped away though. I hope they incorporate more of a welcoming environment to sit or work as they settle in.
I come to this local shop almost every day pretty early 6:30-7 and always have an amazing experience. People are so bitter in these reviews about the change, I personally never had a good experience at sagebrush and have a consistently good experience with Trio. Good espresso and nice employees, don’t expect fast food timing for a local shop with two employees working.
Don't listen to the haters!! We came when it was still Sage Brush and it is just as good now as it was then. The employees were sweet and helpful. MUST GET THE MAZAPAN LATTE. The vibe of the cafe has changed but it's still cute and inviting!
Loveeeee Trio Coffee House! I recently visited and had a delicious cortado and turkey with pesto croissant sandwich. I love the vibes of the little cafe and the staff were super friendly, patient, and kind. I also appreciate the great lighting for getting Instagram pics 🤭 I can’t wait to visit again soon!
This place is so awesome filled with positive vibes, wonderful staff and very polite. I love their coffee as well.

Trio Quartz Hill has quickly become one of my go-to spots! The drinks are consistently delicious—whether you’re in the mood for something strong, sweet, or refreshing, their bartenders know how to mix it just right. You can really tell they use quality ingredients and put care into every cocktail. The service is just as impressive. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Even when it’s busy, they manage to keep things moving smoothly while still making you feel like a valued guest. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink or making a day of it with friends, Trio hits the mark every time. Highly recommend!
i have gone here numerous times and have always had good service and delicious drinks. i will say, there coffee has improved as the months have gone on. my personal favorite is an iced spanish latte with oat milk. i honestly prefer trio to the prior establishment that was here. i am a person who makes my own coffee at home via grinding my own roasts and extracting through a manual espresso machine. id say this place, coffee wise, is one of the better places in the AV as you can actually taste the flavor notes of the coffee and the oat milk is creamy. the recipes have improved, people need to stop being so bitter! if you want your drink less sweet just ask! overall, wonderful coffee!
I love this spot so much, it has the best matcha in town! My favorite drink is the dirty matcha. I always have such a good experience when I go and the workers are so kind every single time. Parking is kinda stressful but the drinks are worth it! They also are always changing their holiday menu which keeps it so fun. Every time I have friends visit from out of town I take them here and they love it!

I was staying in town last weekend and went to the poppy fields. This coffee shop was on the way so I thought I'd try it out. I knew it would be good since it was busy. My only complaint was that half the menu was completely hidden by s refrigerator and people talking so I didn't know that they had Mexican cinnamon coffee. I ordered a vanilla latte because you can't go wrong with that. The latte was a bit pricey but the price is worth it to support a small business and the coffee was great. I'm only deducting a star because I couldn't see the whole menu until after this group of people left.
Pricy but delicious.
Anytime we come home to visit I stop at trio! Was excited to see they opened a Quartz Hill location! My family lives down the street so nice not having to go all the way into Palmdale when visits already go by so quickly. The staff was pleasant, one trip it did take a bit long for our drinks to come out, but the other trip it was really quick. This will make my visits home much easier now ☺️
Love Trio!! My favorite is the Spanish Latte 💕 so good. The staff is super nice, overall experience has been great.
The drinks here are tasty. I like the pistachio latte and the matcha is pretty good too. That said, I miss the art and plants of Sagebrush. Trio's aesthetic is gas station on the outside, hospital cafeteria on the inside. I don't know why the owners would turn a cute and beloved cafe into such a bland and unwelcoming space ( not to mention cutting down the palo verde trees and paving over the gardens! A baffling choice). Sagebrush used to be such a nice place to hang out, and I'm holding out hope that Trio will be someday. The owners say they're waiting on permits to build a new garden, I hope that actually happens. I miss having a cute coffee shop in my neighborhood!
I want to say I’m so happy that we still have a little coffee shop to go to here in quartz hill butttt today I walked in and there wasn’t anyone in line just people waiting I wants really acknowledged just stood there a couple minutes, I ordered my Spanish latte and a pastrami baguette both are amazing and taste great wait time is alittle long but I get they just opened so that’s not a problem but the lack of friendliness or overall welcoming vibes put me off alittle yesterday the cashier that was there around 11 she was smiling and very welcoming… the actual coffee shop is still very plain … now the reason I didn’t give it more stars .. I saw an employee making drink's for their social media content I believe she was sitting in a corner with a a camera and red hair 2 drinks I saw her pour down the drain … Being a new buisness and also having the whole line out the door you would think she would pour some in mini cups and offer samples instead of dumping it down the drain I was also in her way and she rushed so fast past me with a low excuse me it’s pretty small in there
New remodel is underwhelming. The vibe is not what it used to be.
if anything please hire a really good designer and do a rebrand. 😬
I have to say that I received excellent customer service from Helen and the staff behind the counter. The food was okay. I really don't like the colors that this place is painted. It was much nicer in the green than the Sage Brush Cafe was on the outside. I also miss the outside seating on the patio area to the south, on the corner. The current colors just aren't creative or particularly inviting. I didn't linger long on my visits.
I loved the Sagebrush Cafe with its homey feeling and welcoming atmosphere. This place feels like an In n Out. It has an," hurry up and leave" atmosphere. I would sit outside, under the trees and drink my coffee, talk with my mother and relax. They paved over that area for no particular reason but to all 2 more parking spots. The charm and the local art is gone. Sad but true.
Trio replaced Sagebrush Coffee, which served delicious SINGLE-ORIGIN drip. They usually had at least two different countries/roasts available, typical of upscale big-city coffee houses. I've only tried Trio once but I'm not eager to go back. Sorry, I want to support QH business but the product is not vastly different from Starbucks and decidedly inferior to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.
Staff is friendly. Coffees inconsistent. I stick to the Americano. Sometimes it’s decent. Other times the espresso is poorly pulled and it’s sour/acidic.
The Coffee Shop Formerly Known as Sage Brush: A Birthday Letdown with Potential As a Quartz Hill local (just down from Trio 👋), I was excited to try the newly revamped coffee shop that took over the beloved Sage Brush Café. I even took the day off for my birthday and made this my first stop—with my book in hand and wallet ready to support a small biz. Unfortunately, this place has some major identity crisis vibes. Let’s start with the good: ✅ Staff was friendly and attentive. ✅ Prices were reasonable. ✅ Food was solid—I’d give it a 6.5/10, which isn’t bad for a light breakfast stop. Now… the vibe. Oh, the vibe. The old charm? Gone. The cozy garden that used to shield you from wind, traffic, and existential dread? Gone. In its place is… a sad, open lot with a red-and-white color scheme that screams “We sell Marlboro Reds and Monster Energy drinks” more than “Come sip a latte and read your sad girl novel.” It’s giving out-of-business gas station energy. Zero rizz. None. Nada. I’m not here to tear down a new small business—Quartz Hill doesn’t have many places to gather, and I want this shop to succeed. But community matters. We were rooting for you! We were all rooting for you! Bring back the warm, inviting atmosphere. Add a little magic. Some charm. A cozy nook. Literally anywhere to sit that doesn’t feel like waiting for an oil change. For now, this won’t be my go-to café, but I’m rooting for a glow-up. I’ll check back again someday in the future, ideally when the vibe matches the effort the staff puts in.
I love the location on Tierra Subida, I always hype it up and have given it so many more loyal customers, but this location is lacking. The menu the drinks are on the board and food items on a sheet on the counter. The flights aren’t at this location which is a bummer.I was excited to have them with my son, but they don’t offer them here. My chai I always order lacked the taste of chai was just very milky and my bagel was toasted on the incorrect side. If I could suggest anything to this location is maybe train at the main location to be more consistent in taste and give it more of a cafe vibe and service. I love Trios but unfortunately not this location.
Coffee is delicious. Price is expensive and they charge $1.25 for half & half. I consider that unreasonable. In total, $6.00 for a 16oz Americano (espresso and hot water). They just started so it seems they are still figuring out the personality of the environment. I've gone three times now and I'm interested in how they progress there. Right now, it's a bit sterile.

I’m writing this review after making several trips to their locations in the AV and the SFV and inconsistent is the first word that comes to mind. Their drinks are typically way too sweet, whether it’s their seasonal drinks or their standard drinks. I like they give a good amount of options every season but inconsistency is the main thing that prevents me from giving them a better rating. I really like the atmosphere in their new location in Canoga Park and the original one in Palmdale is nice too. The one in Quartz is a whole different story unfortunately. The outside of this place reminds of the B-2 Market & Liquor store on Ave R and 10th St E in Palmdale painted in white. The place lost all its charm that Sage Brush brought and I understand this a completely different set of owners but I feel they could have done a better job with the ambiance of the place. The inside feels sterile and un inviting while the whole patio was demolished and covered it up with some asphalt which was a big downgrade. Hopefully they decide to use that space later on for a patio or at least extra parking.

The coffees taste more like milk most of the time. Like it's the star ingredient, too industrial with lack of previous naturus lively atmosphere.
They really know how to kill a vibe. Giving off out of business gas station vibes. Zero rizz fr
Went the first Wednesday they were open and the drink was great, ordered the Blossom latte which has the salted pistachio cold foam at a pretty penny of $7.25 for a small (this menu on the counter doesn't have prices until you pay) Since then, I have been wanting that same great flavor but have yet to get it 4 times later!. Frustrated with the inconsistency in flavors since this drink is not cheap. The girls here are very nice and noticed one making drinks on my second visit may have been new, which is to be expected at a newly opened shop, so I gave the benefit of the doubt and kept coming back. But after so many times, I'm done throwing my money to be disappointed. I'll try them again later. Maybe they still need to find their groove here. Looking forward to how they finish up this place and get the menu down 👌
The place is OK. I give it to stars. There’s really nothing great about the coffee. I wouldn’t even say it’s good. It’s actually below average. I know that there’s still a new location. I will be giving them a second chance in the far future and hopefully by then they will have improved on their beverages and food and hopefully one day I can give them five stars. The coffee is watered down. The baked goods are a bit in the stale side.
Feels so antiseptic and charmless compared to Sagebrush. I don't expect it to be exactly the same but getting rid of all the foliage, getting rid of all the color, getting rid of all the art on the walls, it feels lifeless. Charmless. Generic. Feels like someone trying to run a coffee shop because it's a valuable investment, not because they want to be part of the community. The coffee is also worse than Sagebrush's.
Lacks the uniqueness of the prior establishment. My vanilla iced latte was meh. The chocolate cupcake was similarly bland. The connection to the Quartz Hill community is not there. National chain coffee places have more pizazz and personality. There are no seasonal drinks. I don’t want to think about what to have them make- I want it on the menu .

Nope. I was clearly standing there. Next in line. Server served the man BEHIND ME that walked in minutes after I did. No wonder, your reviews reflect the service you give to our neighbors. Be better.
Bitter coffee and horrible service. Don’t waste your money
Complete waste of time and money, could have got better coffee at speedway. AV did not need another thrown together “coffee shop” that relies entirely on sugar and flavoring to cover up the complete lack of education and respect for the actual craft.
At least Sage Brush had ONE food item that was vegan.
Really dislike the look they gave this place… the landscape was removed the seating area gone… Now it really looks like an old gas station, SAD!
I want to order online for delivery does not work any more.
Definitely disappointed.
The most rudest customer service! And I got charged for cream ! WOW they aren’t friendly at all. Can a manager please reach out to me. Thank you
It's really not that complicated to have a functioning line system, yet somehow this place can't manage it. The seating is almost nonexistent, so good luck finding a spot. And the breakfast selection is mediocre at best — nothing worth getting excited about. And the coffee? Overpriced and bitter. You'd expect better quality for what they're charging. Disappointing all around.
Drinks are usually good, depends who makes them I guess. Have order their pesto sandwich and they will always make me wait for 10+ minutes for no reason, sandwich was already ready who knows for how long, since it was already cold. They need to give the same attention to their food items as their drinks and if they can't just don't sell food items.
Went in today to check out the coffee shop that bought out my old favorite one. I was already feeling iffy on it because I’ve been to trio in Palmdale before and it wasn’t great. But here I was being generous giving them a second chance. Well, when I walked in with my daughter, not only was I not greeted upon entering but I was also heavily ignored. The three girls behind the bar saw me but turned their backs and didn’t even acknowledge me. I was waiting to order a matcha but they literally couldn’t give me the time of day. I ended up turning around and walking right out with my daughter because there’s no way, you’re going to ignore me and pretend not to see me waiting to order. Unfriendly staff. Unprofessional and not customer service oriented. Won’t be back and don’t recommend. Glad I didn’t give them any of my business.
The space feels small and cramped, and when it gets busy it’s hard to tell where the line even starts. Orders take around 30 minutes to come out, and on top of that, they often get names wrong when calling them, which just adds to the confusion.
I’m a regular at the Trio over at Palmdale and the service and coffee is great! It was my first time at this location and the last . The cashier with blush blindness was extremely rude and had so much attitude.
They gutted the gorgeous local coffee shop. There's no more local art, no green space, and no more atmosphere beyond that of a former gas station. I'm disappointed. The coffee was good/fine, but if that's all I was after, I could go just about anywhere.
Trio coffee came with big promise. And I understand there can be off days. But I’ve been here on 6 different occasions, different times and at times different staff. All the times the coffee has been lackluster and watered down. The prices are not cheap but I don’t mind that, as long as I am getting a good brew. Which is not the case whatsoever here. I would recommend other coffee places. The staff is Very friendly and I know they are doing the best that they can but they need to be better trained at preparing drinks. The red theme of the place is a bit of an eye sore.
This place somehow feels more corporate and less welcoming than a Starbucks and man, not only are the drinks overpriced but that was the most embarrassingly bad dirty chai I have ever had. Chai isn't even that hard to make properly, you just have to actually put in effort, which apparently they don't do here. Wish Sagebrush was still here.
Wasn’t impressed. Honestly, I can make better coffee at home. The place didn’t feel very clean—the plastic pastry containers were dusty inside and definitely needed a good scrub. The bright red exterior also feels out of place for a small town like this—it gives off more of an East Palmdale vibe. On a brighter note, I heard a Starbucks is being built just down the road across from the school. Looking forward to that since this new place let me down. 🫤
I ordered matcha, but it seemed to be primarily sugar with a small amount of blended matcha, which was not of good quality. I was unable to enjoy it, and I was in a hurry. I hope to be able to receive a refund for my purchase at some point.
I was excited to try this place .When arriving was not greeted. And when I got my matcha drink the guy handed it to me with no straw I than asked for one and he looked at me like I was asking for too much 😂 he then asked the lady and she told him they are right there .Aren’t they suppose to be out so customers can grab one .Anyways whole vibe was off .Dutch and coffee bean are way better . They are Over priced just to get a cup full of ice and half liquid.
Not a fan. Customer service was poor. Not even a smile. Cashier didn’t care to even look at us while ringing us out. It was our first time visiting since they’ve open so needed to look through the menu but we felt rushed or that we were annoying the employee at the register. No effort to give any recommendations either. I ended up choosing one of the coffees and it was grainy and super sweet, not worth the money. Will not be visiting any trio locations again.
I expected changes when Sagebrush closed, but this is horrible. So many hours spent on the patio, or in the garden, chatting with friends. So many hours that I would usually end up buying a second drink and a second food item. No more. I came in early in the morning and left with a horribly bitter coffee that I couldn’t drink and such a sad mood. Even if you look past the asphalt that they are claiming had to be poured in order to… grow a garden and have a patio? There’s no art inside, no connection to the community. The vibe is weird and reminds me of a dilapidated gas station in Fallout. I hate it and haven’t been back.
Went the day after Thanksgiving (possibly part of the issue) but I’ve never seen a coffee shop take so long to make drinks. There were only 2 workers and only one was making drinks very very slowly. We waited for half an hour because we had no idea it would take so long. It wasn’t exceptionally busy either. There was a Dutch bros nearby we skipped out on because the line was too long and I wish we would’ve just sat in the line because it probably would’ve moved faster. The coffee also was not good, so a waste of my time and money.
Order online two bagels and tipped. Went inside for a while, approached the pick up counter and ws ignored. No one greeted me standing in front of them. I had to ask for my order. The left me waiting for another 10 min. People after me got their order. Bagel was over toasted! I rather go to Starbucks! Better service!
Customer service was bad. I use to LOVE the Palmdale location but ever since they added the Quartz Hill location, everything seemed to change. I ordered the pistachio latte at the QH location and could not drink it because it was too salty. I asked if they could remake it and they said they were going to charge me. So I asked if they can take the foam off and just add another foam so they wouldn’t have to remake the whole thing. Again, still would have to charge me. I then just decided to keep my drink and give it to my husband but he didn’t even want it 😢. I miss Sagebrush and all the charm and welcoming feel it had. I live closer to Trio but will drive 20 min to Amate because they have amazing coffee and the heart to serve their customers.

They gutted the gorgeous local coffee shop. There's no more local art, no green space, and no more atmosphere beyond that of a former gas station. I'm disappointed. The coffee was good/fine, but if that's all I was after, I could go just about anywhere.
