Simply my definition of outstanding "comfort food"! Yes, I'm local. Yes, I'm a HUGE fan of their freshly made apple cider donuts! Yes, I enjoy wandering around their gift shop to find that unique item. HOWEVER, I'm a bigger fan of the restaurant. The service is consistently on point. The food, as I described is delicious comfort-food...This last visit I tried the Adirondack Sandwich for the first time. (usually I am a traditional breakfast diner!) Be sure you are hungry if you order this, as it is enough to share. My daughter likes their made to order omelets...again...so big my daughter questioned exactly how many eggs were in there! (jokingly). And could not resist the peppermint hot cocos! It was awesome!

Came here for a birthday brunch. The gift shop makes the wait so much easier to handle and the food is 100% worth it. When they say best breakfast they mean it. Adorable little gifts, perfect upstate cozy atmosphere especially on a snowy day. Makes me feel like home :)

The perfect adirondack atmosphere & delicous food! You can't go anywhere better. The restaurant has delicious food! Xlarge portions so you get your money's worth. And then get to shop at the gift shop! The gift shop is beautiful and offers a variety. You must check it out it is a staple of the Adirondacks. I'm a local.

We had a short wait to be seated but there was plenty to look at.Devin did a great job serving us and it was all hot and delicious. I do miss the Oatmeal Bowl with three choices.

Maybe the best breakfast I've ever had, certainly the largest. I had a huge omelette which came with delicious home fries & toast. My tea was hot & in a good sized mug. Great prices & fun gift shop. We're going back tomorrow to try the pancakes before we leave the area.!

This is a phenomenal place to eat breakfast! I had the avocado tomato Benny and it was delicious and plentiful. Huge portions and great value. The country store/gift shop is cute with lots of merch. The place smells delicious with homemade apple cider donuts made on the premise. I totally recommend. We got there by 8:20am and only a 20 min wait but it gets packed quickly.

Do not waste your time going to the diner across the street. The food at the silo is well worth the wait! The portions are so big you can share them. The food is absolutely delicious, especially their vegetable omelettes. You can shop while you wait to be seated. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

We stopped for lunch and we were so pleased. Kali our server was extremely friendly and helped us decide on lunch. Everything on the menu sounded so good. Her recommendations hit the spot. The portions were huge. But of course we saved room to try their cider donuts. One word, YUM! Thank you Silo for a wonderful meal, great staff and a fun atmosphere.

I absolutely love this place. I wish I lived closer! The service is always amazing and the food is delicious. The amount of food they give you is incredible for the price as well. The biggest issue with this place is deciding between breakfast or lunch. There are countless options when you come to The Silo and the line moves quick. If you're looking for a breakfast or lunch spot, this is the best place is the area by far.

The Silo in Queensbury has been around for as long as I can remember, and having lived in the Capital District all my life, I can’t believe it took me this long to finally go. It’s a great spot, but I’d recommend going early wait times can get long quickly. The menu is large, offering both breakfast and lunch, and it seems you can order either at any time of day. We arrived at 7:15 a.m. and were immediately welcomed by the smell of warm cider donuts as we walked in. Our party of three was seated right away. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Portions are absolutely huge you’ll definitely be leaving with a take-home box. I ordered the cider donut French toast, which also came with eggs, a choice of meat, home fries, and toast (as if I needed more carbs!). The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the bacon was crisp and flavorful. My husband had the classic French toast with eggs there was so much French toast, it could’ve fed two people. My daughter went with the special eggs benedict (benny) on a croissant, topped with poached eggs, apples, and cheese, and served with home fries and her choice of meat which she choose to pass since she’s a vegetarian. Everything we tried was hearty, dependable, and just what you want from a breakfast place. Service was fast and attentive from start to finish. After eating, we explored the shop, which has several levels filled with adorable gifts and unique items. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience, and my only regret is waiting so long to finally give The Silo a try.

Make sure you call ahead to check wait times. Can be 10 mins or can be over an hour! Service is great when you finally get in. Only waited 20 mins Sunday at 830. Reminds me of a cracker barrel but more homey feel. Eggs Benedict was delicious. Homefries are cooked well too!

We stopped at the Silo Restaurant for lunch on our way through the area. The access to and from 87 was easy and added very little time. There's a good amount of parking around the building. When you walk into the front door you enter a country store filled with a verity of local foods and gifts. This was similar to a certain large national chain restaurant just with much better food and merchandise. I highly recommend picking up a few of the fresh made cider donuts on your way out. When we checked in, we were told that there would be about a ten-minute wait for a table. The estimate was very accurate and when your table is ready, they call you on a PA that can be heard throughout the store. Our server came over as soon as we were seated and was very friendly and attentive. The menu was quite extensive with breakfast items available all day. I chose the "Frankie's Crispy Buffalo Chicken Sandwich" and all I can say is WOW, this thing was huge! The picture doesn't do it justice; I'm all for a DDD style hunch on a big sandwich but there was no way with this one. I had to resort to using the knife that came with it to cut it into pieces. This was by far one of the best Buffalo chicken sandwiches that I have ever had. The breading was crispy, and the chicken was tender. The Buffalo sauce had just the right amount of heat without being overpowering and the blue cheese and carrot-celery slaw added just the right amount of contrast. Others in my party ordered burgers and said that they were also very good, the small sample I had was well seasoned and juicy. All of the sandwiches were served with a pepperoncini pepper on top and a very nice dill pickle on the side. If I had to find one negative about the Silo it would be that they are only open for breakfast and lunch. We will definitely be making this a regular stop on our way up 87.

We stopped for breakfast before heading back from our trip. We had to wait about an hour for a group of 5. It was a holiday weekend. There was a gift shop and fresh cider donuts. Once we were seated, it took a while for our server to come, but when she came over, things moved pretty smoothly. Staff were friendly. We enjoyed all of our foods. Generous portions so come hungry. The wait was worth it for us. I can see why it’s popular. :)

Really nice place for breakfast. Huge servings and reasonably priced. Service was quick and extremely friendly. Very comfortable restaurant. They have a country store at the entrance, and rocking chairs outside. Be sure to arrive early, because it’s always crowded, with good reason! ♿️

We have been going to the Silo for years! It is a must stop trip whenever my family and I visit. I always recommend it to anyone I know who is traveling in the area. More often than not you can expect a wait for a table (worth it) but that is ok since you can browse the shop! Today I had the Huevos Benedictos and they were amazing! I typically get the eggs benedict but I'm glad I tried something different. My husband had a perfectly cooked burger and it was huge! Also, if you hit up the shop be sure to grab some cider donuts...they are simply the best!

Love this place! Although waits get long, it's well worth it to wait! The servers are amazing, and the atmosphere is great. And I can't forget about the food. Massive portions and great options. Don't forget to check out the massive gift shop before you leave!

The atmosphere here is so warm and welcoming. The speed of service was impeccable. The food was amazing and the portions are absolutely huge for the great prices per plate. If you want to fill up on a budget while out or have a large group to feed this is definitely the place I'd go. The staff was also extremely kind, polite, attentive and friendly. Smiles all around even during the brunch rush.

Wow! We came across this beautiful place on the way home from camping! They were busy but still accommodated us travelers! The food is amazing. Ask for the homeade maple syrup with your waffles or pancakes! 🥰😍 me and my husband loved it!

Had a great lunch here. The Silo's very popular so you may have to wait. I had a huge BLT and the others got an omelet and Irish eggs benedict. Very good. I look forward to other menu options. The store is great as well. Penny candy and nice gifts I had to get some donuts.

We decided to go to the silo for a late breakfast. We were really looking forward to it after not being there for 10 years .It has really lost its charm ! The food wasn’t good ,I had the eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce tasted like it was out of a can and the eggs were overcooked .my husband had the omelette and it tasted like it wasn’t even real eggs won’t be going back!!! The waitress was very understanding and comped the whole thing as expected even the coffee
