One of our favorite places for breakfast and lunch! They have both indoor and outdoor (seasonal) seating and the atmosphere and food are equally outstanding! We love browsing around the enormous gift shop before and after a meal! They carry unique and often locally made items for your home and pantry as well as jewelry and accessories, plus so much more! There's a counter where you can purchase homemade fudge and other yummy confections, as well as their irresistable, freshly made apple cider doughnuts! A must go when in the area!

Yes, part of it really was a silo in a past life! See their website for the complete history. There's plenty of parking all around the building with easy access to the interior. You enter in through the extensive gift shop (see pic) and past the mouth-watering smell of fresh baked cider doughnuts. There’s also a second floor of gift shopping available if one isn’t enough. The restaurant can get a bit crowded but I’ve only had to wait a bit for a table once. The food and service are great, both for their famous breakfast and for lunch. The portions are plentiful (see pic) and there are gluten-free and vegetarian items available as well as a kid’s menu. I have been back 5 more times since my first visit and will certainly return again!

Great food and service in a rustic farm setting with really unique furnishings. We loved the decor and the attached store. Our server, Melanie was pleasant and friendly. They give you large portions of good food, so come hungry. Worst case you can take home your leftovers so you don't have to cook your next meal!

Tourist heaven ❣️ They're ready for a crowd but individual service is personal, attentive and friendly. The food wasn't pretentious, just fresh, hot and YUMMY! Enough for 2 meals unless you're a lumberjack 😉. LOTS of souvenir/gift options. SUPER HELPFUL & FRIENDLY staff. They have enough folks working there so staff isn't harried. They're actually GLAD to serve you. PERFECT ❣️

We travel from NJ every summer and stop here for breakfast, before we spend a week camping. This has been a tradition for 15 years and the food keeps getting better and better. I love the home style cooking and everyone is always so sweet and kind.

Food was fantastic. My pancakes were the size of a hubcap. My wife loved her egg breakfast and the bone fries were delicious. Will visit again if ever back up this way.

If there is a wait it’s absolutely worth it!!! Everything was perfect!!

Food was delicious. Had to wait about 40 minutes - would recommend calling ahead if possible. No place to really wait in the building, just kinda wander around the gift shop for 40 minutes.

The food was delicious, service was fast and still friendly. Our waitess Kim was wonderful- she went above and beyond to make my sons birthday morning!!! The gift shop was cute, offering a lot of unique finds. Definitely worth a visit :-)

The Silo restaurant and country store is beautiful both inside and out. There is a parking lot. I went alone during the off season. It was busy. Very clean. I ordered the stuffed French toast. It was delicious. I marked it on my places to visit again in the future.

We get there each September during the Adirondack Balloon Festival at the Glens Falls Airport. Because of this, the place is ALWAYS slammed when we are there. If you don't want to sit around on the porch or cruise the gift shop, then seek less crowded times. The food is American and worth a return, crowds or no. The portions are huge. The staff could only be improved by adding more like they have now.

I love this place!! The food is amazing and you can find some amazing things to buy while waiting to be seated. My family and I have been coming here for years and enjoy each time we come.

What a great place to stop for lunch the food is great, service was wonderful, the three floor gift shop is fun to explore. Will be back in the summer. Be sure to get some cider donuts to go! Just a wonderful place to visit you will enjoy it!

Great place- you won't go away hungry, delicious sandwiches, wish we would have had room for dessert, they looked amazing, great staff-attentive and friendly. Love the setting in the restaurant....will certainly return to try other items on the menu!

Although we had a very long 75 minute wait on Sunday morning, the food came out quickly and it was delicious. They are constantly making apple cider donuts which you can snack on while you wait.

I had left a review of the Silo a couple years ago, but I just had to submit a more recent one: Despite coming here for years (and loving it), somehow, I never tried the fried chicken sandwich, and I loved it so much, it warranted making a whole new 5 star review. You really can't go wrong with any of the choices at the Silo. Everything is great, but this chicken sandwich is honestly more than I bargained for (in a good way). Two huge, juicy chicken thighs fried crispy, sandwiched between a fluffy bun and accented with sweet pickles and honey mustard and some sweet potato fries on the side... yes, please. I'll be honest, this sandwich only needs one piece of chicken to be great, but if you love leftovers, that second piece makes for a great sandwich at home the next day. Needless to say, I'd order this one again on my next visit! If fried chicken isn't your thing, some other great options are the Farmhand sandwich, the pancakes, and the BBQ chicken wrap.

Huge menu and portions! Our waitress was very kind and accommodating. We are vegetarians and asked to make the breakfast quesadilla vegetarian by subbing the meat with jalapenos and pico. Make sure to get there early. We came on a Monday at 8:45am and didn't have to wait but by the time we left at 9:30 there was a 45 minute wait.

Made a quick stop here to try the cider donuts. They were freshly baked and tasted amazing. The inside had spongy texture. Would definitely come back!

This is the second time that we’ve been into the store/restaurant and every time we are in the area. We are definitely coming there. The food is great. The servers are very friendly. The staff is very friendly. I got the big meaty triple cheesy. I believe it’s calledand my girlfriend got the chicken and waffles very very very big portions

K

I’m not sure I can adequately describe how amazing the food here is, so I’ll just share pictures of it (banana bread French toast with banana custard and strawberries, cowboy burger, strawberry lemonade with literal strawberries in it) and tell you that if you haven’t been here yet, you need to go immediately.

Great experience! We went with our 9month old and staff was friendly and accommodating. My whipped cottage cheese bowl was the best meal I had on our trip! Would absolutely recommend!

Superb breakfast spot! The pancakes are HUGE and the vegetables and potatoes used in the omelette and homefries tasted fresh. They also make fresh donuts which were delectable. We bought some to take home. The store also had a slew of paintings, souvenirs, bear and most themed gifts. Definitely a cool spot!

This place is loved by locals and vacationers alike and I refuse to take a trip to Lake George without eating breakfast here. They are always busy, but do their best to seat people quickly. There may be a bit of a wait, but it is worth it. I have only ever eaten breakfast here as it is my favorite meal at The Silo. I have never had poor service or a bad meal, even when I try something different or one of the specials. They have an adorable gift shop in the lobby as well as a continuation on a second level. You can purchase everything from handmade soaps to local syrups and handmade goods. Don't forget your fresh apple cider donuts!

Excellent food ...Generous portions. I ordered a full stack of Blueberry Pancakes. I got a heads up about how huge the pancakes are ...those pancakes are Enormous!! They cover the entire plate!

A restaurant (which stops serving food at 2pm) and gift shop (which closes at 4pm), reminiscent of The Cracker Barrel. The restaurant always serves masterpieces. Sometimes the gift shop sells freshly made (even warm!) apple cider donuts.

Well let me say that rarely do I give 5 stars across the boards but here it is! This place is popular for a reason! Somehow we'd never been but I'm so glad we did. The atmosphere is rustic and amazing because it's in an old barn! The breakfast is awesome! The service is even better! Amy was the absolute cats pajamas! We'll be back for sure! Happy birthday to me!

Silo in Queensbury, NY is a must-visit for foodies. The restaurant and gift shop offers a unique dining experience with a rustic and charming atmosphere. The food quality is excellent, with large portions to satisfy even the hungriest of diners. The only downside is that the wait times can be quite long, so be prepared for a bit of a wait before being seated. Overall, the wait is well worth it for the delicious food and pleasant ambiance. Highly recommend checking out Silo for a delicious and memorable meal.

This is a must go on your trip to Lake George. The food is tasty and a large portion. There is a bit of a wait usually but they have multiple levels of a gift shop for you to look at while you wait. They make fresh apple cider donuts. Highly recommend!

This is THE place for breakfast or brunch. We started off with their cider doughnut french toast... Which wasn't super sweet and tasted really unique. The country breakfast was super hearty... The eggs were perfectly scrambled... The toast was slathered with butter and the sausages were salty and flavourful. But for me the star has to be the caprese eggs Benny. The pesto and balsamic flavours paired with the melted mozzarella on an ultra toasty muffin with liquid gold from the poached eggs was just a flavour bomb going off in my mouth. Also shout out to our server, Melanie who was the sweetest. She patiently answered all our questions and did it with a cheery smile on her face. She made us feel special.

Cool place. Menu has so many options from breakfast foods to sandwiches. Enjoyed looking around the gift shop while waiting to be seated. If there's a wait it will go faster than they say so just be patient. In the meantime get a delicious apple cider donut!

Hands down best breakfast spot in town. Very affordable, very friendly and timely service. The rustic decor was a great touch and really emphasized the "silo" theme. Had a great time and great eat from the ample menu selection. We arrived in the late morning and did have a 25 min wait ahead of us, but it was well worth browsing the gift shop until then. Well worth waiting!

The Silo is a classic that will never go out of style. The welcoming scent of freshly made cider donuts invites you into the gift shop before heading to the restaurant, where you are greeted by friendly staff. The rustic, wooden interior sets a purely Adirondack vibe. Breakfast is inevitably a big win with time tested favorites well executed. Portions are large so be prepare to fill your belly! My only take-away is the fact they don’t offer non-dairy substitutes like oat or soy milk for coffee.

This is the second time I've been and we nailed our arrival both times with only a moment to wait. My husband isn't a big eater yet ordered one of the kitchen sink breakfasts and loved it. For years, he used to make pancakes at a fair for two weeks each summer. Silo pancakes match his expertise. My order was top-notch too. He used to come here with his first wife as well and the quality has remained high. The cider donuts in the gift shop were also very good and easy to eat.

Be prepared to wait but it is so worth it! Friendly staff, great options, big portions and reasonably priced. Best breakfast in the area! Update.. came back in January 2020 for a hearty breakfast.

Every special trip back to Queensbury includes a meal at The Silo. I have fond memories and even a few souvenirs from The Silo. So, the surprise this year is that they have created a new breakfast treat—cider doughnut french toast. They're worth the extra guilt that it causes. This is the restaurant were locals and out-of-towners dine, but if you're from out-of-town and you don't stop in, you're missing out! There's nothing like this in the city. ***and did you hear me say "cider doughnut french toast!?"***

Silo... That is all... What can one say? Silo is huge... There is something for everyone... And the restaurant food is beautifully cooked and delicious as can be. Silo is home I feel to the world's greatest gift shop emporium... It will amaze you. But get there quick to eat or you will be waiting a while and spending a lot at the multi levels of giftery... Def amazing place... Level on level of wonder

Chicken and waffles with eggs and bacon. Big Country breakfast: eggs, sausage, pancakes, home fries and cinnamon raisin toast. Everything was delicious. Definitely coming back here for some more food and shopping in their country store.

J

This place is awesome - the decor, atmosphere, waitstaff, and food is all top notch. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you are into woodworking, because you'll spend more time looking at the construction than eating your food. I got the signature omelette (which was excellent) and my wife got "The southerner" and that was excellent as well. The donuts are hot and fresh, and the remainder of the country store was very pleasurable to walk through. Will definitely go again.

B

Had a wonderful breakfast there yesterday. So much food both my wife and I had enough leftovers for a second meal. Service was spot on. Everyone was very friendly. It is popular so you may have to wait 5-15 minutes for a table. Great gift shop so if you have to wait, there is plenty to look at.

Probably the BEST breakfast ever. Everything I tasted was nec plus ultra. Best Fried Chicken, Best Country Fried Steak, Best Home Fries, Best Beef Sammich. Awesome service. Prices are Cheap for the Huge Quantity of food you get. Great Gift Shop. Highly recommended.

Love coming here when I'm in the area. Food is always prepared well and the waitstaff is always so friendly and in a good mood as they chat with customers. Nice gift shop located on two floors, spend some time there. Tons of Christmas items. There are doughnuts, fudge, and other condies for sale as well. Outside they have rocking chairs, bird houses, and other things of interest. Really nice place.

Great atmosphere! We landed here right about the later part of lunchtime; in fact, we were one of the last people they took on the waitlist for lunch. While browsing the store waiting for our name to be called, we realized that there’s an upstairs part to this gift shop! Don’t miss that! The downstairs part has candy by the pound and cider donuts that smell amazing, but don’t skip the upstairs…. The food itself was great! Our waitress was very attentive and helped me through the gluten free menu. I ordered some gluten free French toast, which I haven’t had in a while, with a side of bacon. Coupled with the house syrup, it was great! My wife had a wrapped sandwich with cheese, and it was just as delightful and delicious. The waitress got us a box for leftovers and also got us refills for our drinks and was very attentive. Love this place and definitely will go here again next time we are near Queensbury.

Very cute shop and restaurant! The prices are higher than the average diner but we did get a lot of food, couldn't even finish! The waitress was very nice, A+ coffee service, and quick turn around time. We were there early so there was no wait but can see how the place would fill up fast.

Simply my definition of outstanding "comfort food"! Yes, I'm local. Yes, I'm a HUGE fan of their freshly made apple cider donuts! Yes, I enjoy wandering around their gift shop to find that unique item. HOWEVER, I'm a bigger fan of the restaurant. The service is consistently on point. The food, as I described is delicious comfort-food...This last visit I tried the Adirondack Sandwich for the first time. (usually I am a traditional breakfast diner!) Be sure you are hungry if you order this, as it is enough to share. My daughter likes their made to order omelets...again...so big my daughter questioned exactly how many eggs were in there! (jokingly). And could not resist the peppermint hot cocos! It was awesome!

This is a phenomenal place to eat breakfast! I had the avocado tomato Benny and it was delicious and plentiful. Huge portions and great value. The country store/gift shop is cute with lots of merch. Do not waste your time going to the diner across the street. The food at the silo is well worth the wait! The portions are so big you can share them. We stopped for lunch and we were so pleased. Kali our server was extremely friendly and helped us decide on lunch. Everything on the menu sounded so good. Her recommendations hit the spot. I absolutely love this place. I wish I lived closer! The service is always amazing and the food is delicious. The amount of food they give you is incredible for the price as well. The biggest issue with this place is deciding between breakfast or lunch. There are countless options when you come to The Silo and the line moves quick. If you're looking for a breakfast or lunch spot, this is the best place is the area by far.

The Silo in Queensbury has been around for as long as I can remember, and having lived in the Capital District all my life, I can’t believe it took me this long to finally go. It’s a great spot, but I’d recommend going early wait times can get long quickly. The menu is large, offering both breakfast and lunch, and it seems you can order either at any time of day. We arrived at 7:15 a.m. and were immediately welcomed by the smell of warm cider donuts as we walked in. Our party of three was seated right away. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Portions are absolutely huge you’ll definitely be leaving with a take-home box. I ordered the cider donut French toast, which also came with eggs, a choice of meat, home fries, and toast (as if I needed more carbs!). The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the bacon was crisp and flavorful. My husband had the classic French toast with eggs there was so much French toast, it could’ve fed two people. My daughter went with the special eggs benedict (benny) on a croissant, topped with poached eggs, apples, and cheese, and served with home fries and her choice of meat which she choose to pass since she’s a vegetarian. Everything we tried was hearty, dependable, and just what you want from a breakfast place. Service was fast and attentive from start to finish. After eating, we explored the shop, which has several levels filled with adorable gifts and unique items. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience, and my only regret is waiting so long to finally give The Silo a try.

Make sure you call ahead to check wait times. Can be 10 mins or can be over an hour! Service is great when you finally get in. Only waited 20 mins Sunday at 830. Reminds me of a cracker barrel but more homey feel. Eggs Benedict was delicious. Homefries are cooked well too!

We stopped at the Silo Restaurant for lunch on our way through the area. The access to and from 87 was easy and added very little time. There's a good amount of parking around the building. When you walk into the front door you enter a country store filled with a verity of local foods and gifts. This was similar to a certain large national chain restaurant just with much better food and merchandise. I highly recommend picking up a few of the fresh made cider donuts on your way out. When we checked in, we were told that there would be about a ten-minute wait for a table. The estimate was very accurate and when your table is ready, they call you on a PA that can be heard throughout the store. Our server came over as soon as we were seated and was very friendly and attentive. The menu was quite extensive with breakfast items available all day. I chose the "Frankie's Crispy Buffalo Chicken Sandwich" and all I can say is WOW, this thing was huge! The picture doesn't do it justice; I'm all for a DDD style hunch on a big sandwich but there was no way with this one. I had to resort to using the knife that came with it to cut it into pieces. This was by far one of the best Buffalo chicken sandwiches that I have ever had. The breading was crispy, and the chicken was tender. The Buffalo sauce had just the right amount of heat without being overpowering and the blue cheese and carrot-celery slaw added just the right amount of contrast. Others in my party ordered burgers and said that they were also very good, the small sample I had was well seasoned and juicy. All of the sandwiches were served with a pepperoncini pepper on top and a very nice dill pickle on the side. If I had to find one negative about the Silo it would be that they are only open for breakfast and lunch. We will definitely be making this a regular stop on our way up 87.

We stopped for breakfast before heading back from our trip. We had to wait about an hour for a group of 5. It was a holiday weekend. There was a gift shop and fresh cider donuts. Once we were seated, it took a while for our server to come, but when she came over, things moved pretty smoothly. Staff were friendly. We enjoyed all of our foods. Generous portions so come hungry. The wait was worth it for us. I can see why it’s popular. :)

We have been going to the Silo for years! It is a must stop trip whenever my family and I visit. I always recommend it to anyone I know who is traveling in the area. More often than not you can expect a wait for a table (worth it) but that is ok since you can browse the shop! Today I had the Huevos Benedictos and they were amazing! I typically get the eggs benedict but I'm glad I tried something different. My husband had a perfectly cooked burger and it was huge! Also, if you hit up the shop be sure to grab some cider donuts...they are simply the best!

The atmosphere here is so warm and welcoming. The speed of service was impeccable. The food was amazing and the portions are absolutely huge for the great prices per plate. We are long time, weekly customers of the Silo and a visit to the restaurant and gift shop are a must! We miss the mixed berry muffins, but the freshly made donuts won't disappoint! It is an iconic place for a meal and a great place to find a unique gift for just about anyone. They recently made some noticeable improvements in customer interaction at the hostess stand and have restored a welcoming environment. We are looking forward to our next visit! Update: After very inconsistent seating times, we saw a marked improvement, however, once again, we were turned away 30 minutes before the "last seating" time posted in the restaurant. This wasn't a drive-by decision to go there. We specifically packed up the family and left our fully stocked kitchen to drive all the way to the restaurant, knowing their posted seating policy (we were just there recently), and we were turned away. As I stand here, there are empty tables well before the cutoff time. I will note that it is consistently the same hostess that turns us away.

Service was fantastic, portions were large. The atmosphere was to rustic and sweet. Rest rooms were clean. The crowd of people, they were annoying. Not the silos fault but be warned. Tourists will be Tourists. The quality of food was ok. Everything tasted fine. I just feel like it's very processed food. So if you're looking for a refreshing place to eat, this isn't it. But if you want to fill up on canned comfort food. This is where it's at.

Lots of good comfort food served by a great wait staff. Kicking around the store while waiting for a table is a trea - fun cards, interesting earrings, and delicious donuts.

Food was really good. Got the eggs benedict over the crab cakes. Wait was unfortunately very long and we couldn't eat breakfast until it was almost noon. The gift shop is a great place to browse while waiting for a table.

The Silo came recommended by locals so we decided to stop by. We put our name in for a ~25 minute wait. They have quite an area for shopping so plenty to keep us busy during the wait. After about 40 minutes of not being called, we went to check in with the hostess & found our name crossed off. We hadn’t heard it be called so either it was crossed out by mistake or someone took our table. Hostess was very kind about it & sat us right away. Took some time to get the food, took even longer to get the check, and we waited so long to pay by card, we ended up switching to leaving cash on the table so we could leave. Food was definitely great but service was subpar. If you’re looking for a quick breakfast, this isn’t it. In total we were there for about 2 hours.

We are locals who love Silo - for food, gift-buying, and of course, the donuts! My husband and I enjoyed breakfast here the last Friday of July. There is always a wait in the summer, so we were not surprised it took about a half hour to get seated. The waitress was lovely and took our order for the cinnamon swirl pancakes- a must order if you haven't had them! - and eggs with homemade hash, toast, and bacon, plus tomato juice. The food was delicious as always and huge portions, which we split up. Only note I would make is actually on the girl who was bussing and setting tables. As someone who works in the industry, I always check my table before sitting down. Ours was sticky and covered with a fine layer of sugar. No biggie, we wiped it down with wet wipes. However, we noticed while waiting for our food that the girl was not really wiping down tables after bussing the dishes; a very quick wipe, no picking up of the items on the table to get anything around them, and no wiping down of ketchup/syrup bottles etc. It was busy, but she wasn't backed up or rushing. In summary: Great food and service, just a little more training needed to make sure everything is clean for the customers sitting down.

The best thing about this place was that the minute you walked into the store section all you could smell were the FRESH MADE DAILY apple cider donuts (with or without cinnamon sugar). You can see the baker making a fresh batch constantly! We wanted to sit out on their patio (a family of four and a dog) but they typically only seat two humans; and yet they were happy to accommodate us! We really appreciated it. Their food was really delicious and they had the cutest mugs for their coffee! They downside was that their home fries didn't have any onions or peppers! But they were still really tasty and you could tell they were made fresh daily. If you decide to come here I suggest definitely ordering their sticky bun aka cinnamon rolls! They were sooo good and had a decent amount of cinnamon.

Nice rustical atmosphere, wooden walls and actually everything what I like. We came in trough the store, it wasn’t easy to find entrance 😅 Food was really good, I liked everything, classic American breakfast place, plus they have some mexican food and similar stuff. Very glad to visit this place finall and would be back 😁

Had a great lunch here. The Silo's very popular so you may have to wait. I had a huge BLT and the others got an omelet and Irish eggs benedict. Very good. I look forward to other menu options. The store is great as well. Penny candy and nice gifts I had to get some donuts.

Waited 1 hour for a table. They have more giftshop space than dinning room space.Food was very good though. They should cut back on the gift NOBODY is going to buy and think about expanding the dinning room.

We were on the vacation in Lake George and after amount of research, we added Silo on our must-visit list. We planned to stop at Silo on the way back to NYC since there were so many good reputation of the place as “Great Breakfast and Gift” stop. We were so excited when we got there, BUT the very first instinct we got from the hostess making us doubt how we will be seated and treated....we didn’t feel so welcome. The hostess first said “Let me see if there is any thing open up”. We were seated all the way in the back of the house, where there were other area available for 2. Also, as a hostess, the job is to seat guests where is the best spot at that moment, but the spot we got was not even close to the best spot. (Why don’t just seat us in front of the restroom or the kitchen). The waitress, Tracy, was nice enough ~the friendliest of all (even if she had to be friendly because it’s her job, that’s ok!), but as a person who is very familiar with restaurant business, we can feel that she could have done more. We ordered the Southerner Breakfast - very mediocre, the gravy tasted like a can gravy, under cooked home fries Benedict with Crab - good seasoning of crab cake Hot Chocolate - Swiss Miss like Fresh Fruits While we were dining, there were lots of food flies. If this were in NYC, they will get points from having food flies in the dinning room already. With the whole ambient, we didn’t even care to finish our brunch. It was the worst meal of the whole trip. Tracy managed to give us 10% discount after we informed her of the food flies. Food: 2.5 stars Service: 3 stars Ambient: 2 stars After leaving the restaurant, my husband and I agreed that we both feel discriminated and that they intentionally seated us there where is the worse spot.

Bathroom Reviews (The Golden Plunger Critic)

The Silo’s restroom offers a rustic experience that borders on survivalist. One stall, one urinal, and just enough floor space to wash your hands if you hug the wall and pray the door doesn’t swing open into you. The floors were impressively sticky — perhaps a nod to the restaurant’s syrup-forward menu — and the paper towels were those gritty, industrial-grade varieties that prefer to move water around rather than absorb it. The foam soap provided a light scent, pleasant enough to make you momentarily forget the flooring situation. Despite the bustle, the space itself was tidy and functional. A little cramped, a little sticky, but it gets the job done with diner-level honesty. Verdict: 3 out of 5 Golden Plungers — clean enough and fully functional, but the tacky floors and scratchy towels keep it from greatness.

We stopped here in the fall but were unable to stay as the wait was too long. Nonetheless, the cute country vibe and amazing smell of apple cider donuts made returning a must when we returned to the area on my daughter's birthday. The vibe was still great, and the donuts were amazing, but unfortunately the positives end there. Undercooked was the word of the day when it came to the food. The waffles, the sausage, and the home fries were all undercooked. The sticky bun, which is a birthday breakfast tradition for my daughter, was flat, dense, and definitely not fresh. This place is adorable, and I was so excited to visit, but unfortunately the food left much to be desired. I would go back for the donuts and the shop, but as for breakfast, I'm afraid I'm one and done.

Have yet to try this place- the first time we went, they said they were too busy to seat us. I think they just didn’t want to serve us bc they were closing in an hour. They didn’t seem that busy, but okay. Then this morning we called to order take out and was told “we are too busy for take out”. Never heard such a thing. Haven’t tried this place, and apparently the universe doesn’t want me to either. Ridiculous.

Called at 1:15 to be added to the list from 30 miles away. Was told we could only be added in person. Drove to the restaurant instead of other options where we were at exit 9. When we arrive at 1:42 we were told they weren’t taking anyone else. If you are going to turn people away then taking their name when they call ahead is not at all an unreasonable expectation. At this point I’m now famished since we didn’t have breakfast and I’ve had a headache for several hours. The mood in this car is very poor now. Ruined the remainder of our day out. We will think long and hard before considering choosing this restaurant again (the view from our car driving elsewhere).

We decided to go to the silo for a late breakfast. We were really looking forward to it after not being there for 10 years .It has really lost its charm ! The food wasn’t good ,I had the eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce tasted like it was out of a can and the eggs were overcooked .my husband had the omelette and it tasted like it wasn’t even real eggs won’t be going back!!! The waitress was very understanding and comped the whole thing as expected even the coffee

I understand this is a busy establishment. I don’t understand the more than an hour wait for food to come after ordering! People who came in after us had their food half hour before we even got a warm up on coffee! It’s enough to make me not want to return.
