See the photo. It explains it all. Philly Sandwich and 1/2 rack ribs
Dude at counter recommended brisket. It was very good. The BBQ taste was just right. Not too sweet. Not too spicy. If I am back in the area I will stop by again!!
Perfect little spot. I knew when I pulled up and smelled the oakwood smoke that it was going to be on and poppin’. It did.not disappoint. Very flavorful, fair price and excellent service. Braiden takes the kind of pride in his craft that I miss out on in the big city. Don’t sleep on the peach cobbler.
Visiting from Ohio and we were in the mood for BBQ. Some of the best quality and quantity of food ever. Dee-licious! Had enough leftovers to make us another entire meal! Would highly recommend!!
Stopped for the first time Saturday. Friendly staff great food. Had the tritip and brisket. Definitely hit this place up next time im in the area.
I’ve come here all of twice to eat, and both experiences were amazing! From the hospitality to the food, it’s all so good and friendly. I highly recommend coming here to eat if you’re in Ramona and looking for a FANTASTIC spot to eat. I recommend the Pete’s classic if you’re into burgers, it’s juicy, savory, delicious and so much more, they have a good size menu that I have yet to dive into but I know it won’t let me down. Come to Pete’s bbq if you’re close by and give them a try👌👌🔥🔥
Messed up my order. Ordered #2 combo and received two bacon cheeseburgers with onion rings. Really hard to reach by phone to fix. Tried calling 3x! Great food but shitty service. They ended up comping me a new dinner order for free. This place rocks and the food is great. Everyone makes mistakes and they owned up to it. Thank you
It's BBQ the way it should be. Very tasty food with nice people and great customer service. The portions are very large but the prices are fair. I live in Del Mar and didn’t know of this place, but from now on, I will gladly make the occasional 40 minute drive for some grest pulled pork.
Great bbq. Ribs, brisket, and tri tip are excellent. Try their chicken as well, very tasty. Their bbq sauces are excellent. Unique location inside a liquor store but easy to find. Reasonable prices, fast service and very tasty food make a great combo. Worth driving and stopping by or to get take out.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I absolutely love this place. It's absolutely worth going out of your way to come here. The assistant manager Braden and his team were amazing! They get really busy but always do their best to take care of each and every customer. My pulled pork sandwich was so good (like it is every single time) that I didn't even get a picture! Been coming here for years and it NEVER disappoints! Food amazing!! Customer Service Stellar!! Thank you!!!
Don't let the humble exterior fool you. The entrance is right by the liquor store and the seating is far from fancy, but the food speaks for itself. As soon as you walk in, the smell of the BBQ hits you and you know you’re in the right place. The cashier might not be the most talkative or 'smiley' guy, but he’s a hard worker and gets the job done efficiently. If you value great food over fancy decor, this is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back!
People were great. Sevice was great. Food was edible. Had the Tri-tip, brisket, mac and cheese and cornbread. Tri tip was good, but brisket was dry, cornbread was nasty. never had cornbread that tasted that bad. it was dry and had a wierd flavor. And I have had better Kraft, then the Mac and cheese they served. sorry but just being honest. And they didnt have no green! what bbq place dont have green beans?? Any who, like I stated food was edible, except that cornbread.
Some of the most horrible food we have eaten on our travels.. chicken very dry, like it had been sitting all day and was just drenched in sauce, sandwich had next to nothing on it… very disappointing as we were looking forward to something yummy and different than all these tacos and burritos we’ve been eating!!
I was so excited to try this place, I tried so many different meats, the smoked tri-tip, steak, chicken, tina, cobb salad and more. There wasn't even one thing that I thought was decent. I spent $62 and I ended up throwing more than half of everything away. This place has been hyped up way too much. I thought wow I'm going to taste real authentic barbecue straight from the smoker and everything was very underwhelming and bland and just lacking
On the way we played the game, “if Aliens came to earth, and you had to take them to one good restaurant or else they’d blow up the planet, where would you take them?” I would say, if Aliens knew this place existed they’d blow up the planet. Paid for 1/3 pound of all the different meats. Probably got half that. Everything was dry and wet in all the wrong ways…like sweaty deli meat. Good news was the sausage link was actually really good. Nobody tell Aliens this place exists…for the sake of the planet.
For a place with as high of stars as it has this place has poor food. Flavor wasn’t terrible but I got three meats tri tip, brisket and pork. Some of the worst tri tip and brisket I’ve ever had. It was practically cold when I got home. The texture biting into taste like they pre slice the meat and freeze it. The fat doesn’t melt in your mouth it adds more work to the meat that’s already chewy as hell. Learn to cook the basics. That being said I looked across the table and saw clean bones off ribs someone was eating so maybe I’ll give that a try the next time they have some. Haven’t lost me yet but if it were me I’d stay away from tri tip and brisket the pork wasn’t terrible needs more flavor. But for 38 bucks I pretty much wasted my money. I couldn’t even eat the tri tip or brisket it was so bad it’s literally still sitting in the box.
I decided to give this place a 2nd try. I made a huge mistake. I ordered onion rings to share at my job. Plus, a French Dip w/au jus. I requested that the onion rings be ready at 8pm. I arrived early so they wouldn't have to wait on me to close. Nope! The onion rings were nice and steamed. Not crispy at all. I requested that one order be extra well-done and they were more like a soggy waffle. The French Dip didn't come with au jus even though the menu said it did. (I had to ask for the correct # of Ranch dressing for my onion rings) If the sandwich was tasty then it would be ok. It wasn't. It tasted a bit metallic and it was bone-dry. Luckily, there was hardly any meat so I just ate the dry bread and 4 undercooked onion rings. As if the food wasn't bad enough the customer service is even worse. Not a single hello. Not a thanks for the tip. Not even a smile. Rude and surly. I gave this place a fair shake and 2 times is enough. I've already told a few people how awful the place is. Bad food and bad service = $0
