Omokase Rancho Cucamonga Reviews
Love love love the food here. High quality sushi. Chiefs are so talented. I cannot ever go back to those all you can eat places. Their stuff is enjoyable for your eyes and of course your tongue!!!
This is mine and my boyfriend's go to sushi spot. We always get the tempura veggies and snowcone roll :) So delicious, great service, and good prices too!
Love this place! Great service, great atmosphere and for you cherry lovers they have refillable Shirley temples. I’ve been here a few times already. I love the green muscles, tried many rolls and all delicious
My favorite sushi place for the last 10 years. They rarely mess up my order, food is great and the sushi is consistently good. The service staff are always kind too.
As a couple that basically only gets sushi when we go out to eat, it is safe to say that this has become our favorite by far. We are OBSESSED with the Cajun bluefin tuna roll. Joy is the sweetest server with the BEST recommendations. I am not usually good at leaving reviews, but since we are moving out of the area, we had to make sure everyone knows how great this place is!
We came as a group of 9 for a birthday, 6 adults and 3 toddler aged kids. Me and my girlfriend showed up maybe 15 mins before the rest of the group and they sat us immediately and got our drinks which was presently surprising as most places ask for the whole party to be there but I guess it wasn't too busy. The server was great and our food came out fresh. I don't really eat Sushi so I had beef yakisoba and popcorn chicken which was amazing! 2 of the people in our group are pescatarian and they loved it.
We've been eating at Omokase for over 16 years and although the employees have changed during that time, the fish, sushi, and service have all been great. It is our favorite place to have sushi and tonight was no different. We sat at the sushi bar and the chefs were so attentive and funny. Very good quality sashimi.
I usually get the Yellowtail sashimi and it's always fresh and delicious. I recently ordered the Sashimi roll which is absolutely delicious and doesn't have any rice so I don't get full too quickly. They have a full bar, a sushi bar and plenty of table seating so there's never a wait. Additionally, they are open 7 days a week all day. They do not close between lunch and dinner, like many sushi restaurants.
Took our granddaughter for her birthday dinner, the staff went out of their way to celebrate and made it festive. Food is always amazing and never disappoints. Service was great and appreciated. Really love this place.
Lunch with our son and his wife. They’d never been but love sushi. We all had a very very good meal. They also had no issue changing the channel to a sport we wanted to watch and seated us to be in best position to view the game. Their birthday celebration is so funny- we loved it! Best of all their fish tasted FRESH and to me that’s the highest complement I can give to a sushi place! We have been going for years but had a delightful experience with our son and daughter in law!
Great quality food and best service. One of the best places to eat Japanese food around Rancho. I get the salmon Teriyaki bento box and it's always good. Sushi is good as well. Prices are great, especially for the amount of food you get. Everyone's so nice! Amazing service! Thank you, Solomon!!
It was my favorite place to eat sushi, and last visit was great except the sushi chef wears no masks, seriously? Under pandemic for raw fishes, even use one under nose will make customer feel better I am updating this review again as the visit today was very pleasant, all chefs were wearing masks and gloves, very professional now, thank you guys for keeping your customers safe and healthy with delicious foods
UPDATE August 2, 2020: We were so HAPPY we were able to enjoy our meal outside on their patio!!! Employees made it a point to properly clean all of the items (tables, chairs, etc.) where we were sitting in front of us. This made me feel comfortable. Everyone was friendly and it was wonderful to finally eat somewhere in a restaurant environment!!! Omokase has become our go to place for sushi. Everything was fresh and delicious.
Although this sushi spot isn’t an all-you-can-eat place, the quality of the food definitely makes up for it. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted fresh and flavorful. The sushi was well-prepared with a nice balance of rice and fish, and the rolls had a great variety of textures and flavors. The service was excellent — the staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out in a timely manner. As for the atmosphere, it was decent — nothing overly fancy, but comfortable enough to enjoy a nice meal. Overall, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for high-quality sushi and great service, even if you’re paying per roll rather than going for AYCE. I’d definitely come back again.
Great local sushi place. In town for work and was craving sushi. Chose this place because it was a traditional sushi restaurant not a gimmicky revolving sushi place with warm plates of fish. The sashimi was great, smelled clean and the yellowtail was super tender. They have a lot of different rolls to choose from but the Oma special was the bomb!
Edit: as of September 2022 I think they're under new ownership. Service went down a little unfortunately. Food is still great though. This place has the weirdest seating experience 🤣. The hostess walks to a table and then yells at you from across the dining room "you're table is ready! Over here :)" saw this happen to ourselves +4 other couples so it wasn't just a 1 time thing. The whole supply chain issues we're experiencing right now made it so 3 different items were unavailable, however the dishes we DID get were great. The bluefin was incredibly fresh. The Sapporo roll was great but would avoid the Philly roll (see pics for comparison) Also if you get sake bombs drop it in carefully 🤣 the glassware they serve it in is a tight fit and causes a lot of foam.
Nice building, welcoming host, miso soup good then disappointment arrived with food in bento box. White Rice had some kind of salty green seasoning that tasted like spinach. Rice was old and hard. Beef teriyaki was more like boiled flap meat. Never had the worst Japanese food in my life. Sashimi was not fresh and not cold. Variety was only tuna and salmon three pieces each cut and rolled on bed of daikon radish. Blah We sat near kitchen which swinging stainless steel door was filthy and rusty. Got a glimpse of kitchen which exposed filthy kitchen appliances. This put the icing on the cake. Service was also bad. Too many guests for Dodger game and three waiters. Of course we never knew who our server was as it changed when food was delivered. Never was asked how food was nor offered any other services. Had to ask whomever walked by for our bill. What a disappointing , expensive experience. Glad the Dodgers won.
