Friendly suburb service from Gloria Best meal of my like. Veal Parm, spinach Garlic Pappardelle pasta and a side of Skuna bay Salmon
Despite the low rating I actually like this restaurant a lot. The food is excellent, and our server is great. The wine he recommended is also reasonably priced and tasty.
What a fantastic meal! Our waiter Gabriel was fantastic and the food delicious.
Located on the grounds of the Westin Rancho Mirage Hotel, this restaurant provides excellent service and delicious meals. I came in for dinner and was not disappointed. High compliments to my server Angel, he recommended some great wine pairings with the meals. The pasta and meat balls are made by hand in house. I had the pork chop dish and enjoyed every bite. If you can take the heat, the exterior seating has lovely views of the palm trees within the atrium of the hotel amongst the pools.
Well known as a great dinner spot, of late we have been going for breakfast and weekend brunch. We ordered poached eggs with crispy hash browns and buttermilk pancakes. The food was delicious and visually appealing. We ate in the dining room rather than the patio on this day due to wet conditions out of doors.
Had both breakfast and lunch here in October. It's a very nice restaurant with in or outdoor seating. For dinner I had spaghetti and meatballs because they make their own meatballs with a combination of beef and veal. Serving was plentiful, tasty and plated well. Zinfindel was a good option for my dish. Although I was looking forward to dessert, I was too full. Breakfast the next morning also hit the spot. Eggs, toast, homefries and, of course, bacon. My son downed a plate of pancakes and eggs and from the smile on his face, I know he liked it. The restaurant service was very attentive and pleasant for both visits, while the decor was open , clean and somewhat upscale. I would definitely recommend a visit to this Elegant Westin Mission Hills establishment.
WOW! Great Views. Great food. INCREDIBLE service. Very reasonably priced. Service and food quality I am used to finding at restaurant that are considerably more expensive. If you are looking for phenomenal dining experience, please try Pinzimini -- it will surprise you! We arrived at Pinzimini for a romantic dinner and our experience simply blew us out of the water. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and attentive (without being intrusive). Their guidance through the menu down to minutia of preparation was beyond helpful -- INCLUDING how modifications in preparation and ingredients might affect the overall balance of the final dish -- I will mention that the wine suggestions were also perfect. The outdoor dining was designed to maximize views. For those on the perimeter (which most tables are), you are rewarding with an expansive view of the lush resort property. Off the perimeter is a very large central table augmented by an expansive and visually engaging firepit. 100% will return.
Amazing food, beautiful atmosphere. Next time I'm in town I will go back.
Great food, excellent service! This place was very nice, comfortable and clean.
Really clean place every staff member was super nice to me and especially Luis and he kept up a good conversation and always asked us what we needed and helped us out. Really good selection and I’ve never seen a restaurant with grapefruits for selection so pretty good.
Mocktails were yummy and the chicken Parm probably my all time favorite. Ragu is also can't miss.
I had salmon...really tasty. Service it's great 😋
Great hotel with a great restaurant. Service was exceptional. Enjoyed it all from the moment we sat down. Ordered the handmade pasta, was very delicious! Looking forward to a future visit.
We had an incredible dining experience at Pinzimini this week. Angel and Javier made it a very special evening for our family. It was definitely a highlight of our trip to the desert. Great food and great service. Thank you! Highly recommend.
Excellent restaurant for the Westin. Their brunch buffet is excellent by US hotel standards (compared more impressive Asia brunches in hotels). Love their salads for lunch and dinner. Happy hour needs help as they have a clientele dying for it and they offer limited specials.
We are a family of 3 staying in the hotel and decided to dine at Pinzimini. Tracey the manager was very pleasant, very helpful, great hospitality service, made us feel at home and important. Gabriel was great and has a warm personality. Overall was a great experience and will definitely come back to Pinzimini again!
The food was very good. Great al cart breakfast choices. Views on the patio we're beautiful and the staff were amazing. Only one knock, they never offer spoon even with coffee, very strange.
We had dinner here for our last night at the resort. The server was very friendly and helpful. The food was well prepared and the serving sizes were good. It certainly was a nice way to end our stay.
Outstanding Service from Luis and Carlos at Pinzimini!!! I recently had the absolute pleasure of dining at Pinzimini, and I have to say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional—largely thanks to Luis, our incredible server! From the moment we arrived, he made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. Luis and Carlos was warm, and attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu and buffet, offering fantastic recommendations that were spot on. His service was great, always ensuring our drinks were refilled, our food arrived perfectly, and that we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. What truly set Luis apart, though, was how kind and engaging he was with my three daughters. He went out of his way to make them feel special, taking the time to talk to them, and ask about their favorite foods. It’s not often you come across a server who makes such a genuine effort to create a wonderful experience for the whole family, and Luis did just that. His kindness and patience were truly above and beyond. If you’re dining at Pinzimini, ask for Luis—you will not be disappointed! His passion for hospitality and his ability to make every guest feel valued make him an absolute gem. We can’t wait to come back!
We went here while we were waiting for our room. The service was good and we had the club sandwich which was very good. We were the only people in here.
The food is great. We did not have a single complaint about the food and we ate breakfast there numerous times on our trip. It would be a five star review but there are two problems. The price is a little steep and there is no easy way to walk from the Westin Villas to the restaurant in the main Westin. All they have to do is open the gate so you don't have to walk between properties!
Service was very good. The Pizza Margherita was excellent. We ordered the daily special Prime Rib, however, had to return it as it was not medium rare as that is the minimum they prepare it - it was closer to well done. Waiter knew we were headed to a show and didn't have a lot time left, so he brought back a replacement Butcher Shop Ragu, Fettuccine, Broccolini, Parmagiano Reggiano that was very good, had a little kick to it too. The menu is very limited and not much of an Italian selection, but overall it was a nice place.
Excellent food fair service, prices are up there.
Lunch was quite good. The local interpretation of the Caprese Salad adds watermelon and beets and is quite tasty. Their burger is better than average, clearly handmade instead of using a foodservice patty. Service was caring without being heavy handed. Hotel restaurants are generally only "meh" but this one is better than that.
So the service here was hit or miss - if you get a bad waiter, just ask for another one - the manager was very accommodating and helpful - the food is good, but not great - we ate here four times over our stay
Outdoor seating had a nice view of the pond and waterfall. This is inside of a hotel. Service was good. Friendly employees. There's an omelet station that had good freshly made omelets. The brunch buffet food was not great. I had Eggs Benedict. The English muffin was hard. I could barely cut through it with a steak knife. The other pastries were dry. Not very many people here which was surprising since it was a Sunday morning.
The food was delicious! We were with a large group and everyone seemed to enjoy their entrees and desserts. Service was also excellent. We will return.
Went for breakfast. Service was quick, our waiter Luis was always near-by. The restaurant has a nice view if you sit outdoors overlooking onto the gulf course. Honestly, the reason for the low rating is the food is just not good. The huevos rancheros were not good, too much salsa. The all American breakfast was ordered as scrambled eggs with cheese. Eggs were over cooked and dry, I don’t think these were real eggs, definitely tasted like egg beaters. Prices were expensive for the subpar quality, I guess that’s what you get at a resort. The rest of the days of our stay we ended up going out to have breakfast. There are a lot of places nearby with much better food.
We attended the Christmas Evening Buffet. The food was 'good'. The service was 'good'. Desert selection was beautiful. The ambiance was sketchy due to messy service area which we had to walk through each trip to the buffet or to the (dirty) restrooms. The buffet price $60 each plus a "Service Charge" of 18% per table (of 4) which was NOT a gratuity so ended as a total of 30%. which was overpriced for the experience. For a Westin property - disappointing. Photo: Lovely chocolate strawberries
Long wait for the big party, even though there is not many tables in the restaurant. Food is ok.
Food was good. Service was bad. We sat on the patio and the female server Just threw the food at us and never came back. Had to walk inside to let them know I wanted to pay the bill.
Service was okay. Our server was great, but I don't think he was supposed to be our server, he just took pity on us. Food was okay. Chicken and fries were cold. The mixed veggies were great!
For expensive Italian restaurant I was disappointed. The service was fast and staff were friendly and polite. But the shrimp were old and should have been discarded yesterday on the salad. The Volcano pizza was good, but the crust was soggy in the even after I requested that it be burt?
This is a beautiful restaurant on the property of The Westin Hotel. The food was great, the service was good, the problem is the time it took from the time we ordered to get out food was a very long time! They told us it was because a large party had ordered just before us. Not sure if they were short staffed. But that was disappointing.
Breakfast buffet was okay, food was a bit old when I got there at 9am. Service staff was so friendly and helpful. Dinner was okay, food quality was lacking and a bit expensive. The service staff was so accommodating and friendly.
3 meals in 3 days, ordered extra crispy fries each time, always soft wimpy fries. One of easiest things to do, but ????. Went to another bar and ordered wings extra crispy. They came cold in the center, and not extra crispy. Banquet dinner, rolls hard, no butter, asked twice, no butter, dinner less than marginal. When we left, I valeted, I have a sling on, using a cane, valet made us walk to where he parked the car, really?
Nestled inside the Westin, the decor and high ceilings of the main dining area are very inviting. They have both indoor and outdoor seating with a fire 🔥 pit area for a group of about 10. Menu choices are more limited than what I was expecting, but our waitress was able to talk with the chef about a small modification to my dish. I ordered the breaded chicken. I thought it was a bit too thin to be served dry. Thicker would have been juicer, as served, I thought it needed a sauce. Pasta was cooked correctly, and the chef added an Alfredo sauce, which was very good. Pricing is resort level, just under $40 per entrée. Overall food did not live up to the price point. If we were staying at the resort, we'd try it again but would not return if we had to drive to it. Hope your experience is better than ours and...enjoy!
My allergies wheat gluten dairy and soy I got the chia pudding with fruits and berries the person I was with bacon and eggs the bacon and the sausage came off the buffet they got a fruit plate instead off toast they said greatest decision I agree because I relied on that some potatoes and my berries the chia pudding was inedible which I believe can be fixed due to a flavor in balance. I told the server there was an issue but I still wanted to pay for it. They gave me a discount. I don’t recommend the chia pudding thing till it’s fixed. Fruit was great though!
I'm really shocked to find a full 4 stars for this place. The hostess was really slow and once she arrived she asked us to continue waiting. Once seated we're handed a menu that is missing most of out favorite Italian dished. I'm not going to mention which ones because they should know better. They are trying to claim it's Italian. We both order fish. I believe it was cod but we can't tell because the short receipt we got doesn't show what we ate, only numbers like $109.77. It's really interesting that most of the dinner menu we were handed was mostly alcohol beverages and not food. The menus listed on their website are not what we were handed or what we ordered from. What ever the fish is it was served skin side up which I haven't seen before and I myself cook different types of fish all the time and I NEVER do that but maybe it just us. NOT! We thought we were getting something like potatoes au gratin but these were kinda weird and had a strange taste. They do provide a lemon for your fish but it's been cooked and is covered in oil so squeezing over our fish was really messy and went everywhere. You would think a squeezer or a lemon wedge bag would have been offered but no. We do not recommend this place. They are way over priced and the food really isn't worth it.
The staff was quite friendly, and the outdoor seating is beautiful. The menu is a bit pricey, and the quality of the meal itself was decent once, and just okay another time. My wife enjoyed the egg white omelet for breakfast one morning, which was solid, while I had the eggs Benedict which was exactly as advertised. We went back for lunch the next day (because let’s be honest, the hotel has limited food options) and we were both disappointed in our respective choices of a chicken panini and the lamb burger (I’m a fan of blue cheese, but damn!). The primary reason for my 2-star assessment is that the service was unjustifiably slow for both meals. We sat for breakfast at 10:00 on a Friday and waited 10 minutes for coffee, and an additional 30 for our fairly basic egg dishes. We sat at 11:00 on Saturday when the restaurant was at ~30%, were sat without menus, ordered about 15 minutes later, and didn’t have meals in front of us until 11:40. We later realized that we also never received the Diet Coke my wife ordered. Today, we went to the coffee shop and got bagels for breakfast. I’d rather eat at the airport than try my luck at pinzimini for a third time. The other 6 reviews look good, so maybe they are just having an off weekend, but I won’t be back to find out.
Went for happy hour at the bar. My wife ordered the house chardonnay that she said had no flavor. We had the pizza and the calamari. Pizza was so greasy with oil it almost slid off the plate and was not very good. The calamari was not very appealing and half the portion was fried olives-weird! Not a good experience.
The service here, especially for breakfast, is terrible. Slow, incompetent. We came here every morning because we had the free Marriott breakfast vouchers but if you have to pay for it, would highly recommend going elsewhere.
So the menu is pretty limited. Prices have gone way up and the quality of the food has gone way down. My guest had the salad and it looked like what we had fed the giraffes earlier while visiting the Living Desert Zoo. I had a salad with chicken added on and it too was pretty lackluster. The French waiter is truly rude and I think hates his job. Nice place though but not for food.
Horrendous . I hate leaving a negative review for any establishment. But this place was absolutely horrible . My huevos rancheros came out Lukewarm and covered in what tasted like watered down pace picante salsa . Our glasses were dirty and it took our waiter 10 mins just to return with creamer for our coffee . 4 tables around us sat unbussed. The floors had food crumbs on them. They forgot parts of our order The dishes were pieced together in random fashion. I do not recommend this place at all. You will end up disappointed and having spent too much money. To the restaurant; Please focus on your attention detail and cleanliness. The condition of your restaurant was shameful . If it weren’t for the protection of the Westin surely your lack of standard for cleanliness and attention to detail would close you down. Please take the time with your staff to pay attention to these types of details as they make a difference.
Pinzimini and quite possibly the Westin (Marriot) failed to prepare for an influx of guests due to a conference. Entered at 12:10 pm Greeted by server 12:21pm Ordered at 12:27pm Food served 1:36 pm Chicken sandwich as photographed might have been half the bun and microwaved globs of cheese.
This place just is not what they advertise it is. For the prices and verbage of an 'award winning chef', we expected a lot more. The food was clearly premade and microwaved - the $22 lasagna was cold in the center. They will not leave you a bread basket - you must ask your server for each small slice at a time. The service was awkward, unfriendly, and rushed. There were people being seated for dinner wearing swimsuits and carrying large pool floats. We expected an upscale, chef-prepared dinner. This was truly everything but. A well deserved one star.
So excited to visit this place. Save yourself go to a dinner, the papardele spinach was in no way flavored. Plain pasta. The option are limited. The place is empty and still took forever to take order. Also, you don't need a reservation cuss no one us there for obvious reasons.
Was there over the weekend, giving it a 1 star because as soon as I sat on the chair I cut my finger by a staple that was sticking out of the fabric, I mentioned this to the waitress and she didn't care, I asked for a bandage since I was bleeding and she said she didn't think they had any but she would check, the food was ok nothing special, waitress was really slow, and right before we left she brought the bandage which I no longer needed since I was able to get one from the hostess.
Not great food for the price, $197 for breakfast. $34 for breakfast buffet that consisted of scrambled eggs, deli meat and soggy pancakes. Not worth it, take an Uber to IHOP and save yourself some money
Hotel guests - Please avoid this place. I would not recommend this restaurant. It was our first night at The Westin Rancho Mirage, and it definitely downgraded our stay. Perhaps we went at a bad time.. The bad service: -We were informed it was a 30-min. wait and they will text us. They did not notify us and we called after waiting to find out there were seats available. -Once there, we asked 3 different times to 3 different staff for utensils. My boyfriend ate with his hands before he was finally served utensils. -The waiter forgot our Arnold Palmer drink and did not refill our waters. Staff was inattentive and forgetful and that left a poor impression on us. We were tempted to give less than 15% tip. The mediocre food: -Rib-Eye Steak: We ordered MEDIUM RARE but got well-done. And the steak is nowhere near the $40+ range. It was dry, tough, and of poor quality. I can make better steak bought off the shelf from Ralph's. Please do not waste your money. -Calamari: The crust crumbles easily. The calamari is tender, and I liked that they had veggies included but it is an average dish. -Polpette: Sounds fancy but it's basically meatballs in tomato sauce. -Stracciatella Pizza: The best out of the dishes we tried. However, it is an average pizza. We overpaid for the value we got.
