Lucoli Red Hook Reviews
You will not be living until you take a bite of this pizza. I have to be honest, I do not like a lot of sauce on my pizza so when I first saw the sauce I was like "Oh, no!" But it is THE PERFECT AMOUNT! Everything is freshly made or locally sourced. They make fresh mozzarella and fire roasted tomato sauce daily. Yes, you can buy both ingredients so don't forget to grab them before you leave. The pizza is fire roasted and made faster than you can blink because of the temperature. The owner took time to speak with us and was super friendly as was the chef working. I can not recommend this place enough!
This place is an absolute gem ! We like to drive around and try different pizzas, especially over the past year of take out during the pandemic. SO happy to have found this one. We would rate them TEN stars if we could. Everything made fresh and onsite. HIGHLY recommend Lucoli Pizza in Red Hook, worth the drive from anywhere in the Hudson Valley. We certainly will return.
Homemade everything here. Don't believe anything except 5 stars when it comes to Lucoli. We searched this place out through the Onebite app. I showed up before my order was supposed to be ready and I watched my order from start to finish. Maybe 5 min tops from the time they started prepping to sliced in the box. Go inside and meet the owner. Super nice guy.See the homemade ingredients and the massive oven yourself. Worth every penny. If you have to drive a little farther it's well worth it. I would love to have a pizza even remotely close this in NC. Guess we'll have to settle for enjoying this treat when we visit NY.
Truly BEST pizza anywhere!
Truly one of the best pizzas I’ve had in my life! Every ingredient is made fresh in house. So good!
The is pizza the way it should be. Sun-dried tomatoes, garlic and artichoke.
Take out only, only a few seats at the bar but mostly for people waiting. He made my pizza in under 2 mins and then it was mind blowing and amazing. Great place.
I spotted this hidden gem from the road. It’s tucked behind things and I’d never noticed it. The place is tiny - takeout only I believe - but magical. The ovens are from another world. The mushroom pizza was unique and wonderful. The young women making the pizzas were charming and seem both good and committed to it. Can’t wait to explore further.
Absolutely fantastic pizza! Great crust, amazing unique sauce, quality toppings and ingredients. Worth the drive! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It is fast and delicious EVERY time!!!
Outstanding pizza!
Unique pizza. Very good.
Awesome, best quality, Pizza!
Greatest to ever do it
The best pizza in the area!!!
Fast and friendly grate food
Lucoli has been a favorite of my husband's and mine for a few years now. It reminds me of the wonderful freshness of the food I have enjoyed in Italy.
Spectacularly delicious. And don’t miss a side order of their artisanal mozzarella! Yum!
Amazing fantastic pizza...wow!
My server, a young woman named Louis, was so nice— and great pizza!!
Very tasty thin crust wood fired pizza with delicious sausages and onion!
The food here is absolutely incredible! My go to is a personal pie with mushrooms and it's to die for.
Best pizza in Dutchess County. Is it the best pizza in the world? Could be.
Had a problem with my order, they fixed it right away. Really great food, enjoyed every slice!
Great Italian food, good prices, Home made pasta, friendly warm real pizza.
Hands down the best Pizza I've ever had. That's coming from a Pizzaholic!
So gosh darn delish. Slightly weird hours, but catch it when you can!
Truthfully the way pizza should be, simple and with an explosion of flavor. Thank you Lucoli!!
Great home made pizza!Owner even made oven - fabulous
Best pizza in the Hudson Valley, no question.
Very special pizza place. Cruchy pizza with great ingredients
Very tasteful pizza, very nice and friendly staff
Awesome pies made with simple high quality ingredients 🍕
Best pizza on the east side of the Hudson!
The best pizza in the Hudson valley!
Lustworthy pizza from an awesome brick oven, love the lamb on pizza
Great pizza and the owner is the man
The absolute BEST food around. Hands Down!
Best pizza in town. Nothing compares
Everything handmade. It's off the main drag. Check it out!
Love and care go into every bite. Thin crust, fresh homemade mozzarella...roasted tomato sauce...mushrooms were so good. It's the kind of pizza that doesn't weigh you down...delicious.
It's not like any pizza you have had before. All fresh ingredients are consistently delicious. Almost everything is made from scratch. Just amazing!!
Best pizza in the area. I live in Poughkeepsie and it’s worth the trip. I only wish they had another location in the Poughkeepsie area. If you live anywhere near Red Hook then you should give them a shot. A lot of people don’t know they are there, but it’s right up there with the best pizza places in the world!
Best pizza I've ever had! I mean seriously, where else can you find Gluten Free wood fired pizza? Sauce, crust, cheese is divine!
Oh lucoli, love yah you kook. Delicious “Pizza” but something is alwaysssss wrong about the order. Always a mix up. Meat toppings are Very skimpy for the price. They raised prices recently which is fine, I guess helps them only have to be open 3 days a week…. Anyway it’s very good but you never know what you’re gonna get.
I LOVE LUCOLI! My partner and I go here every few weeks and the pizza is amazing. Their mozzarella is unreal, and the sauce... Very authentic Neapolitan food, not greasy but really comforting and satisfying.
Charming little pizza place in Red Hook! Unique & delicious in every way. Fresh, fragrant and authentic wood-fired brick oven pizza!
Incredible au naturale pizza, Zata bread, toppings. Owner Nabil is a class act and his staff are gracious and most accommodating. The lentils if you ahve not tried them, better than anything you can find at any Indian restaurant anywhere, and this is an Italian place , priceless. Nothing like this place for pizza anywhere we have been.
Small place that’s kind of hidden in the back of the driveway but the staff was friendly and most of all the pepperoni and sausage thin crust pizza was delicious. We were from out of town and stopped in after The Rhinebeck Aerodrome event. So glad we did.
I love Lucoli’s! My favorite is a picola with eggplant and green olives on the whole wheat crust, it’s delicious! Everything has a sweet smoky flavor, I just can’t enough of it. We love the cheese and the lentil soup. Leftover Lucoli’s makes a wonderful breakfast.
Probably the best mozzarella I've ever had. The pizzas are exceptional, definitely a must try.
My favorite pizza in the area. Everything house made and fresh. I just pull in the parking lot, call in my order and it's ready in 5 minutes!
Authentic thin crust pizza, everything locally or ethically produced combined with the skill of a gourmet veteran of the Hudson Valley that has been making delicious food in the area for decades. Get it.
The best pizza in Dutchess County...and it's not even close. Authentic brick oven pizza at its finest. The staff really knows how to treat their customers well!
This pizza is SO GOOD!! However, they are the strangest hours. They always seem to be closed.. they need to be open everyday ! I wanted to order from there on a Friday night and it was closed, what pizza place is closed on a Friday night?! Change your hours please !
Best pizza in town. Wood-fired, several vegan options.
authentic. culinary. amazeballs. Best thin pizza in all of the Hudson Valley bar none. I usually reserve my meh rating for bomb resistants. This is beyond meh. It's meh³.
Loved the Formaggi Locoli with such a thin crust, it had such flavor! Loved it with chicken. Equally thrilled with the salad. Would not hesitate to return.
Great brick oven pies! Reasonable price for the quality. Slightly charred on the outside, thin, crispy crust.
Its a great pizza place, yes the hours are weird but its worth the wait and is the best pizza in the area. Its a bit expensive but everything is homeade.
If you love thin, crispy crust pizza this is the one for you. Add to that they make their own cheese and toppings in house.
A true hidden Gem. The crust was amazing. Thin and crisp. And the toppings fresh and flavorful. My new favorite!!!!!
Wow and wow! This pizza is unlike any other! The ultra-thin crust and unique topping combinations are amazing. I love the folded thin crust concept too! The vegan options were delicious. I can’t wait to be back in Red Hook to have more. I may just go to Red Hook for Lucoli Pizza!
A wonderful pizza experience. Freshly made mozzarella and slow roasted sauce make for a unique and delicious pie. You can buy a container of cheese on it's own, but be forewarned; you will not be able to stop yourself from finishing it in the car. Curbside pickup.
Very delicious pizza. So good in fact that I had forgotten my name was Steven and started referring to myself as “pizza” for like, four hours. It’s cool though, I met this guy out in the parking lot and we’re gonna hang out later. Really great pizza!
My grandfather took me to this place a couple years ago and he has absolutely converted me. It’s very much not the Long Island pizza I’m used to but there is something about Nobile’s (the owner) creation that keeps me wanting to come back. The crust is a bit more airy than maybe a traditional pizza but as someone who usually loves the cheese of a pizza most but can be hit or miss on the pizza sauce at certain pizzerias, the sauce here is by far the best I’ve ever had and this guy is making his own cheese in house and even provided us samples. From what I learned, Nobile started this business as an oven maker who provides his services to other pizzerias, and uses this shop as somewhat of a proof of concept of how good his ovens are, and he is certainly right. If you’re ever in the mood for something outside your usual, basic pizza, try Lucoli’s for a unique but also delicious twist on the classic NY pizza. Just a delicious, less greasy and all around less processed product.
Everything is made from scratch and combined into a delicious food experience. The subtle smokiness of the brick oven imparts a uniqueness into every bite... Might not sound like a good pizza companion but get the lentil soup.
I never get tired of the pizza here. Great ingredients, and made with care. Rivals some of the pizzas I've had in NYC and Naples. The most beautiful oven I've ever seen, and Nobile is such a lovely man, it's a pleasure to patronize his shop.
If you want to taste the final boss level of pizza - then you want to visit Lucoli’s. The crust is thin, not doughy, the cheese is made fresh daily, and the toppings are perfection. There’s not a lot room inside but this kind of pizza you take home and you enjoy slowly - why not consider a bottle of red with their selections as well? We do! Best pizza in Red Hook? We think so but you get to make up your own mind.
Their pizza oven is a work of art. Had their gluten free Margherita, cooked to perfection with the wood-fire. It was so incredibly good. Thin crust, crispy edges but pliable under the cheese and sauce. And it wasn’t tasteless filler dough like most GF flours tend to be, whatever they used had a complex flavor (I think there was buckwheat in it, something with a richer taste than your standard rice flour/potato starch mix). The sauce was perfect too, and the cheese was so fresh, and the right amount, no skimping like some places that will give you three small blobs of mozz on an entire pizza. I live about 50 min away and am already plotting to go back. Next time will need to get a regular crust for my husband too.
I had a Wonderful Pizza, eggplant, artichoke Hearts, and roasted chicken. Delicious
Authentic fabulous Made my daughter take back after she took me there in January! Wontee summer spring or fall, absolutely the BEST!!! Italy worthy
Delicious classic Italian oven Pizza, warm cozy environment lovely service. In addition to 2 personalized pies, we got 5 cups of mozzarella. Wow !!!
Grew up in Brooklyn ny and this is absolutely the best pizza I have ever had!!! I was eating it and had a spirit gazm on every bite! When I tell you you get what you pay for I mean it!! Chefs kiss
The absolute most unique and most flavorful pizza you will eat. EVERYTHING is ACTUALLY made in-house. DO NOT expect to eat your regular typical kind of Pizza here. The sauce is absolutely amazing, seasoned so well. The cheese is made right there, the owner Nobile has even given me a piece while he was making it right in front of my face. They sell the cheese standalone sometimes too. It's amazing. All of the workers there are great, they're very friendly and service is fast too.
Most delicious, exquisite quality and underrated pizza in the hudson valley. It’s a real treat to get this gourmet ‘Za from such a kind and thoughtful family bizness
This is one of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life. Every component from the dough to sauce, to cheese is executed perfectly. Amazing pizza!

Love the gluten free pizza
This place is great with fresh pizza, homemade mozzarella, and a great selection at prices that are reasonable for the area.
Incredibly flavorful, interesting pizza. Not the place to go if Dominoes is your ideal
We ordered online. Ready in 30 min. I had the Peppino. My daughter had the Melanzana, & enjoyed very much. O thought the lentil soup was great. You get it cold, & that's how I ate it. Delicious Indian spices. Zata bread very, very thin & crispy with lots of spices on it. No soggy crust here!
One of the best cheese pizzas I have had since I've been living in this part of New York. The owner is super nice and puts everything into his food for customers to appreciate. Fresh ingredients perfect char on the crust. Amazing
Not much to see inside, and very limited seating. Pizza makes up for it! Nice ingredients. My large pizza's crust was a bit floppy for me, the small a tablemate had was perfect. Great authentic place that does pizza well.
Nice crust, otherwise pretty bland.
I ordered a pie with mushrooms and peppers. Only mushrooms were on the pizza. Not worth the time or price
I'm surprised that this place is still open. The prices are a little high for individual pizzas, and the location is difficult to find
Pizza was very unique in flavor, but could have been hotter if the toppings were warmed first. Had to reheat upon return in home oven.
Overall a good representation of rustic eastern Italian style pizza. The dough is cracker thin and the cheese is freshly made in the store! But the sauce is bland. The herbs are sporadic and the bottom line is the attempt is appreciated but the final product leaves you hungry for more substance.
We went into this place and it seemed more Authentic than most pizza places. It was being run by an Italian man and it smelled wonderful. Service was great and thats the only reason for 2 stars. Burnt broccoli and pesto that tastes like sour cream or too much lemon. The crust looks like it should be crispy, but it was so soggy. We paid $34 for this. We won't be back.

First time. Pick up pizza. No inside dining. Fresh ingredients but their crust is so thin it can’t be picked up by hand. They fold it in half like a calzone but everything just oozes out. Too thin to enjoy. Not impressed. Will pass.
The worst pizza I ever had.! Barley any sauce thin layer of cheese and no basil or anything .
$50 for 1 small pizza, 4 overdressed salads and 4 sodas. Unfriendly, and pizza was pretty bland.
The pizza was great, however the service was terrible. I didn’t catch her name but she was rude about basically everything. For example, I asked her if I could add pepperoni to my pizza and her response was that I could order somewhere else, not with her and to do that next time. In addition to the condescending tone she spoke in, she still did not answer my question. The food was good, but the service was bad enough to ruin the experience. Very disappointing.
Well, I can’t say too much about the service as I ordered to go, The food itself was absolutely awful. I cannot wrap my head around deposit readings behind this place. I’m a New Jersey native and moved to New York in the past five years And this was the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life - undeniably.
I will never buy from this guy! He assaulted my 19 year old son cause he had his truck by the pizza place. He tried to say my son assaulted him but the police looked at the videos that man hit my son in his cheek. The owner went right in my sons truck to grab the keys
First and last time there pizza was nothing to write home about. Staff was eating and drinking where they make the pizza which is a health code violation. To top it off I was over charged and didn't notice till I got home. Staffs only concern was if there boss was going to show up.
I placed an order earlier today through Lucoli’s website (which used a third-party app called Slice). About 15 minutes later, I received an email telling me that the order had been canceled. I called the restaurant to ask them what was going on, and the response I received was essentially “That’s the app’s fault, not ours. We aren’t responsible if the app doesn’t work. Would you like to order over the phone?” ….seriously bro? Call me a male Karen all you want, but I think it’s perfectly reasonable to assume that a restaurant in late 2024 would be a little more competent at managing their website and ensuring that all online orders go through to the staff. Or, at the very least, they could simply acknowledge that they are at least somewhat responsible for stuff like an online order being randomly cancelled on a customer. The person I spoke to hardly even apologized for what happened. I love Lucoli’s. I love their personal pizzas. I really do. But I’m sorry, I need to leave this one-star review so that you will at least be aware of this problem and learn to be a bit more competent with maintaining your online ordering service.
Judging from previous reviews I thought the pizza here was going to be great; their ovens are very beautiful. Ordered the margarita pizza at approx. 6:30 pm on a Sunday night. Saw a stiff, refrigerated round of dough scantily prepared with a thin layer of sauce and a thinner layer of cheese.... 4 minutes later we were told our pizza was done... What a disappointment! The sauce was still cold! The dough was tough, hard and rubbery...almost impossible to cut through. The mozzarella cheese was paper thin. The entire pizza was just barely edible. We ended up discarding half the pizza and ate the other half only because we were very hungry. We can only hope this was an off night and not the norm.
They provided us with the wrong pizzas. This was especially problematic since they failed to provide the vegetarian pizza we had ordered for some of our guests.. When I called about this, the owner refused to provide me with a credit, even though his employee told him “it’s the customer we gave the wrong order to.” He instead offered to provide additional pizzas only if the incorrect “had not been touched”, ignoring that it was 8:15 PM, we were in the midst of serving dinner, and it would take a hour for him to deliver pizzas. A stupid, terrible mistake on his part giving us the wrong pies, made worse by his refusal to accept responsibility and aggressive demeanor.
