Beyond Biryani Redlands Reviews
A Delicious Buffet with Authentic Indian Flavors The vegetarian section is impressive and full of flavor—Paneer Veg Kurma, Mix Veg Curry, Chana Masala, Potato Curry, and comforting Dal are just a few highlights. Starters like Bonda, Veg Pakoda, Dahi Vada, and Lentil Salad are fresh and tasty, paired perfectly with warm Naan, salad, and fresh fruits. The sweet finish of Semiya Halwa makes the meal even more memorable. Non-vegetarian lovers will enjoy the rich variety, including Tandoori Chicken, Chicken 65, Butter Chicken, Goat Curry, Chicken Curry, and aromatic Biryani. Each dish is perfectly spiced—not too hot, just full of flavor. A must-visit for anyone who loves real Indian cuisine!
U.C. was our server and she did an amazing job helping us choose our dishes and answering all of our questions. very sweet young lady! The food was great. Im vegetarian and i would definitely recommend the jera aloo with the garlic naan, it was seasoned exceptionally well.
It was a second visit for my husband and I, as we were both craving Indian for our dinner date last night—there aren’t too many gourmet Indian yet especially authentically & richly-flavored, high quality Indian restaurants in this area, but we remembered the how the food was good the first time. So we returned, all dolled up for our dinner date. The dishes we had were daal makthni, paneer tikka masala, & vegetarian dum biryani w/ butter naan. There were plenty of food and flavors to be shared between the 2 of us. In fact, we even took home some left overs which I am so excited to get to! 🤭😆 I’ve been to India before, and sometimes I miss the authentic flavors because for some reason a lot of the restaurants tend to taste a bit muted out—maybe to cater the general American audience. But Beyond Biryani literally served. It was so delicious that I nearly forgot we were on a dinner date! All the spices and herbs blend so beautifully well where it doesn’t overwhelm you to repulsion. Their service was also important part where they came just appropriately to check on your needs for water refills. The hall is pretty large and spacious, and it does accommodate both large groups to a small table for 2 like us. While they had enough people fill the hall, the noise level also wasn’t so high or echoey that I was able to talk comfortably with my husband and hear him across the table without the sound of the background music or other people’s chatter interrupting our private meal convos. Anyway, this is probably the one and very few reviews I’m leaving this length, with 5 stars bc I highly recommend! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Came for a team dinner. Service was amazing. We left the order up to the owner and she selected the most delicious feast for us! Highly recommend!!!
Excellent buffet. Not too many items but good quality and taste. Mughlai chicken in buffet was a stand out.
We’ve been searching for an Indian restaurant and we found this gem. We had a sizzling chicken platter called chicken malai boti kebab and Aloo Gobi. The food was amazing, delicious spice, and the service was great. Definitely stop by and try it out.
The food is absolutely outstanding! Although I typically can’t tolerate spicy dishes, the flavors here are so irresistible that I always find myself coming back for more (they can also adjust the heat! :)). The service is exceptional, the atmosphere is wonderful, and it’s no surprise this has become my weekly go-to restaurant.
Amazing food! Our waitress was so kind and informative on ordering the best dishes. The Naans are the best we have ever had. Definitely will be our go to for Indian food in Redlands/Loma Linda area
Dinner service was fast and delicious. Our server UC was super kind and helpful with questions about the menu. Other tables were served and the aroma just built our appetite until our plates came out. My only regrets is only having enough room for several entrees. I will be coming back to try everything else.
This was a clean well organized restaurant. We ate the lunch buffet and there was so much variety. The food was so flavorful and comforting! The flavors were complex like nothing I have tasted in an Indian restaurant. For sure cooked by an excellent chef! My family and I are huge fans of Indian cuisine and we are now hooked to this place!!!! I read the “bad” reviews given by others and honestly, I didn’t see or experience any of those things. THIS IS THE BEST IN ALL SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!!!!!
The food was absolutely amazing! We ordered multiple menu items such as chettinadu curry, chicken fry, tandoori, rice and Naan and everything was so flavorful and the meat was tender. The sweet onions are definitely a plus paired with the tandoori and rice. The inside is very nicely decorated and very warm and inviting. I highly recommend lunch and dinner dates and/or gatherings in their event room with ample space!! Thank you for everything!!
If you’re in the Redlands or Loma Linda area and haven’t been to Beyond Biryani, you’re seriously missing out! I had the pleasure of stopping by with a friend, and it was an experience worth raving about. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, with a cozy yet vibrant vibe that made us feel right at home. The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about their food. Now, let’s talk about the real star: the food. Every bite was packed with flavor, made with fresh ingredients, and perfectly crafted. Whether you’re in the mood for something hearty or a light bite, there’s something on the menu for everyone. I won’t spoil all the details, but let’s just say their signature dish is an absolute must-try! To all the locals in Redlands and Loma Linda—don’t sleep on this spot! Whether you’re catching up with friends, grabbing a quick bite, or looking for your next favorite eatery, A Delicious Spotty Visit is a place you won’t regret checking out. Highly recommended!
Great atmosphere, clean, friendly, polite, and fast. The food was delicious a must try and repeat! Delicious! Thank you!
It was a wonderful first experience. Everything we ate and drank was amazing. From the appetizers to main courses to desserts they did not disappoint! We will definitely be back. The chicken was great, the lamb, the kebabs. I can’t remember the name of the other items but we had 4 people in our group we shared food with. Prices were reasonable for the quality we received.
Absolutely fantastic food! So flavorful, rich and satisfying. The portions are generous and so rich, I tend to save some for lunch the next day (and it’s still so good ☺️). I highly recommend this spot for a savory meal. My husband and I drive out of the way the go here. 😊 so worth it!
Lovely people. Food was great ! Will come back. Love the Indian tea ☕️
I had the best mutton sukka of USA. I am out of words to describe how good it was.
Highly recommended restaurant, super delicious food and outstanding service, Avolsha was very kind and friendly with a lovely smile all the time.
Ordered: Daal Tadka (lentils), aloo gobi(cauliflower), kurkuri bhindi (okra), whole wheat roti. I’d been meaning to try this restaurant sooner and I’m glad I finally did. Beautiful restaurant, great service and tasty food. I got the daal tadka medium spicy and it was warming inside and delicious, I think I am going to try it hotter next time since I love spicy food. The aloo gobi had really delicious flavor and I loved the texture contrast between the cauliflower and potato. They had told me kurkuri bhindi was just fried okra with spices, but it was much tastier than I was expecting, all of the okra was deliciously crispy and the spices were nice. We came for a friend’s birthday and they added a complimentary dessert which was some sort of fried cheese with a sweet syrup and everyone loved it. They let me know they have lunch buffets so I will be back!
An absolute delight from start to finish! The fish biryani was outstanding—perfectly cooked, fragrant rice layered with authentic spices and beautifully balanced blends that tasted truly traditional, not overpowering but deeply flavorful. Every bite felt thoughtful and soulful. The chole kulcha was just as impressive—rich, slow-cooked chole with that unmistakable authentic spice profile, paired with soft, fresh kulchas that completed the dish perfectly. What really elevated the experience was the freshness and artistic presentation of each dish. The plating was elegant and inviting, showing real care and pride in the food. And a special shoutout to the hospitality—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making the entire experience feel even more special. You don’t just eat here, you’re truly taken care of. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!!
This place is located within the busy intersection of California Street and Barton Avenue. There are lots of free parking spaces available. Mostly indoor dining with some outdoor dining. Lunch buffet is available Tuesday thru Sunday, 11am to 3 pm. They have lots of delicious choice on their menu. Service was superb and the place was clean and organized.
Came here for dinner. Amazing Indian food in Redlands CA. Many vegetarian options. Excellent quality and tasty flavors. Large portions to share. Reasonable prices. Friendly and courteous staff. Lots of seating and parking. Will definitely try the lunch buffet next time.
My dad had been wanting to try this place since they opened, so my whole family went out for dinner and had an awesome time! Service was amazing, everyone was kind and incredibly patient when we had questions about different dishes. And the food was amazing! I got the lamb curry and loved it. I also recommend a sort of sample plate they had where you get a little bit of everything, even a little dessert! Be sure to check this place out, you will have a great time!
Definitely amazing food. The ambience was amazing as well. The mango dessert was definitely one of the best desserts I’ve ever had in my life. The flavor on the the mutton unfortunately had bones in it, but I’ll tell you it was fall off the bone and the flavor was crazy on it, not too late to subtle butter chicken That sweet flavor that just kicked in your mouth man it was spicy, but it was just so good for medium hot. What flavor amazing ambience the people were so cool that attended us. She was super sweet super nice and definitely would come back.
What a fantastic Indian restaurant , beautiful menu, scrumptious meals, deliciousness and excellent aroma, and excellent ambiance .huge dinning room, great service. For help with selection of food on menu see Jo. By the way awesome n low prices for quality dinning.
The food was amazing! We came on a Saturday for lunch and it was pretty busy. They are still new but have everything available on their menu. The servers were so sweet and gave us extra dessert so we could try it-which was delicious! The mutton biriyani is amazing. The paneer malai kofta and butter chicken were so creamy and delicious. The serving sizes are great and we had lots to take home. Highly recommend
A must try restaurant! Reviewed on 02/14/25 #Introduction- This is a Punjabi-Indian restaurant. Just started this family business 3 months back. They serve common & popular Indian dishes alongside some authentic Punjabi dishes. As an Indian Asian, this is a top class restaurant for me. #Quality & experience- The food quality is of course excellent, the taste of the dishes are extremely flavorful. The person who took our order and the servers are awesome. If you don't know anything about the dishes or have a specific desire for a dish or taste, take their help. They'll guide you to enjoy your meal satisfaction. If you want to try out Punjabi based Indian food or a first timer for Punjabi food, this is your restaurant. For other regular & popular Indian dishes, this is me & my family member’s new best favourite restaurant. The restaurant area is clean & tidy. Have seperate restroom for men & ladies. They are well kept & cleen. Have plenty of sitting area for small to very large groups. #Menu & price- They have long & diverse menu items! Not typical simple Indian menus. Both veg & non-veg items. So, you might not be able to know the dish from the name, how it is prepared, what is/are in it & the process time of the dish. If you have a big appetite, then 1 order is more than enough. The "Thali" is more than enough to fill-up an adult tummy. Their serving portion is the same like other Indian restaurants. ✴️Their "Lamb Chop" is a must must & must try.. For me their price is everage. Not too costly nor less compared to the food & quality & experience we have enjoyed. #Business hours- Monday they are closed for the whole day. Their regular business hours are from 11 am to 9:30 pm. on Tuesday to Sunday. From 11 am to 10:30 pm. on Friday & Saturday. But, like most Indian restaurants, they stay closed everyday from 3pm to 5pm. #Location- Located in a nice and quiet part of Loma Linda city. close to the I-10 freeway. In a very beautiful area. It has a nice view of the green beautiful Loma Linda area. Inside the restaurant we felt very comfortable & the vibe was cozy. Has a lot of free parking & is wheelchair accessible.

11am - 3pm buffet is 20$. Service was great, there’s actually covered parking to the side of the building, and each food item was delicious.

Some of the best food I’ve had in a very long time. Just left and am already craving more! It’s a big menu with such diverse options for anything you could be craving. The service is amazing with some of the sweetest and fastest workers. They made sure to fill up my drink regularly and even noticed my manicure. The inside itself was very nice. It was very clean and the decor and relaxing music really added to the experience. I definitely recommend to go check it out! I will be coming back.
We came as a large group and everything about the experience was excellent. The staff was attentive and handled multiple dietary restrictions with ease. The food was absolutely outstanding - rich, flavorful, and with so many great options that everyone at the table found something they loved. The ambiance was welcoming and warm, and despite our size, we had a cozy corner that made it feel surprisingly intimate. A five-star experience all around and a place we’ll surely return to.
So many wonderful dishes for our large party, especially nice to have a wide variety of vegetarian options. My favorites were the grilled paneer, veggie korma, daal tadka and veggie biryani. Aloo gobi for dessert was a perfect finish! Service was very attentive and helpful. Definitely come with a big party so you can try a little of everything!
I’ve been coming to this restaurant four months now and is by far the best Indian food in the IE. Every entrée is so aromatic and delicious. I don’t know how this place isn’t more popular. I also love the fact that when I come and get their buffet it’s not always the same thing so I can be trying other dishes.
Absolutely Brilliant. Authentic Hyderabadi Indian Cuisine. Being a native Hyderabadi, I was here for a week and was craving for some Hyderabadi Food. This brought me the Bawarchi/ Shah ghouse flashbacks. For those of you who don't know these are one of my favourite authentic Hyderabadi Restaurants. The Owner is such a gentleman and the staff very hospitable. The vibe, the aroma and the flavours took me back to my younger days in Hyderabad. Will definitely try the rest of their Indian menu next time and Highly recommend this place if you are looking for the real deal.
Amazing food! I've tried many Indian restaurants and this is one of the best I've ever had. Everything we ordered had so much flavor! The restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly as well. Excellent customer service. Very happy to have found this place. We will be coming back

Came on a Saturday to try the lunch buffet. It was clean with good vegetarian options, and the service was great. My main complaints are the lack of goat dishes, and the naan wasn't fresh; it was served as crispy pieces which you had to get at the buffet. I would prefer fresh garlic naan delivered to the table. Overall, it was good, but I probably won't return due to the missing goat and naan preferences. If you lean more vegetarian and don't really care about the naan then i recommend this place to you
- Atmosphere was nice, spacious, and clean. Great for large groups and gatherings. I believe they also have larger rooms for parties. - Service was good. Checked often to see how we were doing. Not a long wait time for our orders. We asked a simple question about our dish but I’m not sure why the waiter had to touch our food to check with his bare hands. 😅 - The food was fairly good. Not much of a wow factor taste-wise. Pretty basic but maybe it’s because of the dishes we ordered. The samosas were good along with the mint and tamarind chutney; however, I’ve tasted more flavorful versions at other Indian restaurants. Same goes for the Baingan Bharta. This version was really something I’d take multiple bites/servings of. The fish was interesting and flavorful but kinda dry. In summary, the dishes were satiating but not really something that I would order again. I’d still probably return and give them another try to sample something else from their menu.
The food was good. Many seats available if you’re planning to go with family or friends. The service was friendly and there was no wait time. We went on the weekend for lunch right when the lunch buffet opened. I am vegetarian and my favorites were the naan bread, pun, mutton briyani, and vegetarian korma (little spicy). I wish they served garlic naan during the lunch buffet. I’ve had better Indian lunch buffets in the area. This place is worth a visit though.
Decent lunch buffet. Vegetarian and chicken dishes. Was informed that the weekend buffet has lamb or goat. Food was tasty and fresh as I came right as soon as they begin serving the lunch buffet. Will come again to review.

We came to try the Indian buffet ($20 per adult). Paying by credit card adds an extra 4%. The salad wasn’t very fresh—the lettuce was already discolored. The buffet only had chicken, with no Gulab Jamun, no lamb, no fish, and not even my favorite Palak Paneer. However, the butter chicken and butter vegetables were really good. I also asked the server about the kids’ buffet price, which is $15.99—more expensive than other Indian buffets.
This is a very clean quaint newly decorated restaurant. It feels family run, and has good vibes. I would say, manage your expectations for the BUFFET. They have very little selection, and none of the staples you expect. No saag paneer, no white rice, no vegetable khorma, no tika masala, no bengan barta, no riyata, no aloo gobi. They also had very few options that weren't beans or lentils for vegetarians. It was a bit spicy for a buffet but the flavors were good. On a positive note many people were ordering off the menu and the food looked delicious. So i would say, give it a try. But skip the buffet.
We stopped by yesterday and checked buffet smelled delicious washed my hands in restroom no soap and needs a lot of attention hopefully is clean next time
I visited this place twice, and both times were disappointing. The first time, I tried the Mutton Malai Mandi — the gravy was too salty, and the overall taste was not good at all. I thought maybe it was just a one-time mistake. On my second visit, I ordered the Chicken Malai Mandi, but the rice was very oily and the flavor was still off. Unfortunately, it confirmed my first experience.
Not only was the food in the buffet extremely salty, but we both felt sick within an hour of eating here. $50 literally down the drain. We won’t be coming back.
Worst indian food ever! Im surprised that they are even open for business. I chicken tikka kebabs were undercooked, the beef kebabs extremely salty and some didn't even had salt. Cheap and low grade ingredients with absolutely no flavors. Please don't waste your money like I did. I have had worst indian food but this was the worst of the worst.
