Madri Redlands Reviews
Great new restaurant - friendly & attentive staff & servers. ImThe pizza was good Looking forward to trying other menu items recommended by the servers next time.
Had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Madri in Redlands! From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional, our server was attentive and friendly throughout our meal. The food was simply delicious. My son ordered the filet mignon and couldn't stop raving about how perfectly it was prepared. I went with the vegan spaghetti, which was flavorful and satisfying. What really impressed me was when I asked about the bruschetta, they were more than happy to make it vegan for me without any hesitation. It's rare to find a restaurant that's so accommodating to dietary preferences! The ambiance was exactly what we were hoping for: clean, open, and inviting. The atmosphere made for a really enjoyable evening out. We'll definitely be returning to Madri. Highly recommend this gem in Redlands for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a welcoming dining experience!
First off, as soon as you enter, this place is gorgeous! The ambiance is so upscale and modern but perfectly cozy. My boyfriend and I came here for a date night and it was perfectly romantic and laid back. The volume of the restaurant and music is perfect for conversation. I am writing this as I am eating their bruchetta which was fresh and delicious! They used high quality ingredients and its clear they have passion for their food. Their beverage selection was great. The service was impeccable. The waitresses were so sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. WARNING: They serve huge amounts of Gelato We will absolutely be back!

My wife and I ate here last week. We had the lasagne and fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. We also ordered the garlic cheese bread. We were very satisfied with the taste and quantity of our food. The draft beer was very cold as it should be. The prices were reasonable for the area. The staff and manager were friendly and checked on us frequently. We will definitely be returning.
Was here for the first time last night with my girlfriends and was pleasantly surprised. The server Alexis was very attentive. She constantly made sure we were fine on drinks and the experience as a whole. The wine was exceptional and fortunately we came during a special they were having and they gave a discount when you purchase by the bottle. Now, the most important part, FOOD. We share a few of the appetizers and were blown away by the flavor. Fried mozzarella, burrata salad and the honey and goat cheese dip were all outstanding. My steak was a little closer to medium than medium/well but once I tasted it there was no way I was sending it back. Kudos to the chef, server and the entire staff. You all have a great thing going and I will definitely be back!
Can't say enough good things about Madri. We stopped in for in for lunch and despite having many tables, the server somehow made us feel like we were the only ones in there. I got the fillet and my husband got the magherita pizza. We shared a few appetizers and loved everything. Excellent service, food and atmosphere. We will definitely be back in the near future.
We just had our Galatians luncheon there.Great service and great food. Loved the environment cozy to relax and enjoy yourself. Loved all the different pictures on the walls. Bartender was awesome always made sure we were ok to have another drink very friendly service. Will be back soon
Madri represents a significant improvement over the prior restaurant that occupied this location. First, the remodeled interior is very nice and bright, and quite welcoming. Second, the food is amazing. Today's lunch included the Bruschetta and the Calamarie appetizers, followed by the Penne al Gorgonzola entree. The topping for the Bruschetta is tangy, chunky, tomato-ey, with a hint of balsamic acid, and was amazing. That topping would make a paper napkin taste great! At $10, the Bruschetta is a reasonable value. The Calamarie was very tender and perfectly fried, and served with two sauces. While very good, I thought the $18 cist was a bit high. The Penne al Gorgonzola is of course very cheese forward with perfectly cooked penne pasta. The serving size is generous, and given the richness of this dish, it suggests that this scrumptious dish would be a good one to share with a dining partner, or half taken home for lunch the next day. At $22, the price is reasonable. Overall, Madri is now on my favorites list Italuan food, or maybe a take out order fir eating at home or at the park.
Madri is the 2nd Italian Restaurant to occupy this location. My wifecand is visited here for the first time and thought the food was great. She had the lasagna and I had the linguine carbanara with shrimp. Although it is a very pricy restaurant after ordering drinks, appetizer and dessert, we will return here often.
I came in for appetizers and drinks with a few good friends. The food was phenomenal 😋 We got the sautéed mushrooms and Goat cheese and honey dip. I've never had such creamy goat cheese before it was divine. The restaurant was a little over half full (not bad for a mid week early evening bite) and we sat at the bar. The staff was friendly and attentive. Our food came quickly and we never had to hunt someone down to ask for extra napkins, water refills, directions/code for the bathroom. I will certainly be back. There's a lot on the menu I'm excited to try and I can hear the home made limoncelo calling my name.
The Restaurant was such a classy and beautiful atmosphere while still being comfortable. The service was quick and pleasant, and our server engaged with our kids so well! We order 6 menu items and they were all great... the Bruschetta was just as good as is it in Italy! It was great even with the kids but we can't wait to back for Date Night & try some of those amazing looking cocktails!
We love Madri! From the daily specials to the ambiance and the excellent service...everything is 5 stars. We come at least once a week and have never not enjoyed ourselves.
The food was amazing, we had the goat cheese, calamari, chicken picotta, burratta salad, mushroom risotto, and Gorgonzola penne. Everything was so amazing! We got the tiramisu to go and we’re very excited to try it! The service was fantastic, great recommendations. It was not too loud, it was very easy to have a conversation.
I can't say enough good things about our recent dinner at Madri in Redlands—it's quickly become our new go-to spot for flavorful, authentic Spanish cuisine in the Inland Empire. From the moment we stepped in, the warm, inviting atmosphere transported us straight to a cozy tapas bar in Madrid: dim lighting, vibrant tiles, and the subtle hum of flamenco guitar in the background. It's upscale yet unpretentious, perfect for a date night or casual gathering with friends. Our server, Ryan, was an absolute standout—he made the evening unforgettable with his genuine enthusiasm and spot-on recommendations. He greeted us with a bright smile, patiently walked us through the menu (highlighting seasonal specials like the gambas al ajillo that we couldn't resist), and anticipated our needs without ever hovering. When we mentioned it was our first time, he shared fun tidbits about the restaurant's family-run roots and even suggested pairing our paella with a crisp Albariño from their impressive wine list. His energy was infectious, turning a great meal into a memorable experience. The food? Pure magic. We started with the patatas bravas—crispy, smoky perfection—and the jamón ibérico croquettes that melted in your mouth. The star was the seafood paella, loaded with fresh mussels, shrimp, and saffron-infused rice that was cooked to al dente glory. Portions are generous, flavors bold yet balanced, and everything arrived hot and beautifully presented. We finished with churros and chocolate dip that were sinfully good—light, not greasy, with that ideal crunch. Service was seamless throughout, prices fair for the quality (we left stuffed for under $100 for two), and the place wasn't overcrowded on a Friday night. If you're in Redlands craving tapas that punch way above their weight, Madri is a must. Ryan, thank you for the stellar service—we'll be back soon, and we'll request you! Highly recommend to everyone.
From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with warmth and charm especially by our wonderful server Lina, whose friendly service will make every visit special, being that we came on opening day (yay for us!). Behind the scenes, our talented chef, that we personally met, brings the flavors to life with every dish. From rich pastas to perfectly seasoned sauces, the food is simply unforgettable. A true gem for anyone who loves genuine Italian cuisine! I would highly recommend to anyone for any occasion and you will not be disappointed.
We went back tonight for the 2nd time cuz our friends wanted to go there and they've never been there. Honestly we were hesitant cuz food tasted very salty when we first ate there. We had meatballs, chicken champagne, and cioppino and they were very good but just salty. Tonight we ordered almost the same foods. We were very happy to say that all of them are perfectly prepared, rich and flavourful. Not a bit salty but just perfect. We'll be back soon for sure. Thanks!!

Came here on a whim, food was amazing. Had the shrimp scampi and my fiance had the chicken piccata. We both loved it. We were so hungry we didn't take any pictures beforehand.
The tomato bisque soup is really remarkable! The pizza is really good as well. All of the pasta dishes are pretty good especially the penne with gorgonzola sauce was really amazing.

Great ambiance / decor. Service was phenomenal, staff is very attentive and polite. I don’t go out to eat a lot and this place was totally worth it. Ordered the eggplant parm and it was crafted to perfection. The marinara was full of flavor; my wife said it’s the best eggplant parm she has had her whole life and I second that. We got another pasta dish with the vodka creamy sauce and it was delicious. Hats off to the chef. I’ll definitely be coming back for more great food.
We went for our first time for my husbands birthday. The staff sat us quickly and the long family table with old pictures of the owners family members which was a great place to celebrate. If you know the restaurant from when it was Romanos, the renovation was done beautifully. The wall is down between the bar and the restaurant, the stage is gone (which is where the family table is located) There are 2 seater booths that align the wall that my husband and I said we would have to return to for a date night. The place is open and clean and inviting. We had the fettuccine Alfredo, lasagna and shrimp scampi which we ate family style. The Alfredo was one of the best I have ever had, and I rate Italian restaurants based on how good their Alfredo. The lasagna was also excellent and had the perfect mix of meat and cheese and was baked perfectly. The shrimp were also excellent. If you haven’t been there to see the renovation, I highly recommend you check it out.

I tried the Italian grinder, it was ok, their was some meat, not a lot, lots of lettuce and tomato, but the issue was the bread, it was dry and falling apart. The new remodel is nice, brighter and more open than the previous restaurant.

I would give it more of a 3.5 stars. The atmosphere is what drew us in, it is gorgeous. Love the new vibe. Our server was sweet and they help each other out. But looks can only get you so far…. You need substance behind the bells and whistles. The food was mediocre. I went for my go to chicken parm and my husband went for the clams and linguine. We were disappointed they don’t offer bread to snack on, however the service was fast. The chicken parm was pounded so flat that the cheese on top was thicker than the chicken itself. I’m not sure if it is homemade. There’s just not a lot of flavor. I was looking for that rich Italian flavor. This would be a good place for appetizers and drinks…I can’t say enough how beautiful the remodel is, and how nice the staff is. We might try again… had my eye on the risotto. I’m hoping it will be better.
Celebrated a friend's birthday at Madri, looking forward to trying the 'new' spot in town - it also helped that it was one of the few spots to get a steak after 9p (the birthday celebrants desired dinner). The redecorated space is lovely. Definitely feels more upscale and elegant from the former Romano's establishment. I'll be honest and share the menu, while adjusting a few items, felt very reminiscent of the Romano's menu, and after ordering the food, the pizza tastes nearly the same (but at a higher price-point). The food was good, but nothing specifically I'd come back for. I'm guessing I'm paying a premium for the elevated interior experience, but food-wise I'm not sure I'd come back for more and more. The Chevre and Honey dip starter was delightful, although could've used more bread for dipping. The bruschetta wasn't my favorite, and felt like it could've been a more generous serving for the price. The pizza was fine - but I wouldn't come back for it. My biggest issue was that it left the distinct taste of raw garlic in my mouth for the next 24 hours. Otherwise, not much to rave about the pizza. The birthday celebrant said the steak was fine, but also not cooked to his preferred order specifications (medium rare-medium, he definitely got a medium well steak). If you're looking for a dinner date out, this would be a great spot to grab a drink and some appetizers, but for a meal I'd probably look elsewhere. With all that said, the service was fantastic and I give a lot of credit to the service team who was juggling a few tables on limited staff.
New place in town. Heard from People that the food was good so decided to give it a try. Honestly the ambiance is Nice. Staff was nice. However they were slow and there were too many people walking around wasn’t sure who was helping us. Now the food was okay I couldn’t say anything stood out. It wasn’t mind blowing and truthfully the food seems better at Olive Garden. The Risotto had way more mushrooms than rice. The drinks were overpriced and not strong. Maybe I’ll give it another try in the future.
This is the old Romano’s, personally I liked Romano’s food better, we ordered the eggplant parmigiana and the the only cheese that was on it was a little on top, the marinara is lacking seasoning big time, we ordered the spinachi pizza it was ok again lacking sauce and seasoning, the wine was good, the drinks were $12-16 with a lot of ice! The atmosphere is nice the decor of the restaurant was nice, we sat at the bar first and was initially not greeted by anyone, our server was friendly and courteous other than that it’s basic. I won’t be back!

They sat us down and asked us what we wanted after what felt like 10 minutes without giving us a menu or drinks menu. We then ordered meatballs that were salty and dry after reaching over the awkwardly tall counter from our awkwardly short leaned back chairs to grab menus. I ordered eggplant sandwich which was good and my wife ordered prawn salad which is synonym for expensive shrimps. What we didn't know was that it was shrimp Jerky and that it was going to be the driest shrimp we have had since we went to san felipe and got sun dried shrimp snacks! Also we epically fought a big nasty fly the whole meal. Drinks were pricey but decent. My eggplant sandwich was OK. Probably won't go back. I'd rather fight flies and eat jerky at home.
