Maderos Redondo Beach Reviews
The servers are very welcoming and helpful when ordering. The food is delicious. The service is fast. Ive been twice this month and love it! The food is heavier so you’ll likely have leftovers. Allergy note: I have celiac disease and there’s lots of GF options which is great. I did not feel affected after eating here. Definitely recommend! Go try this place out.
I went for an early lunch when it opened. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn't have been more accommodating if they had tried. I was instantly offered chips and a drink. I asked what vegetarian and vegan options were available as the menu seemed quite limited. However, I was offered a large selection of vegetarian dishes that they would be happy to prepare. The chips and salsas were fresh and full of flavour. The street corn was incredible. It was creamy and well seasoned. The vegetable taco had onions, carrots, zucchini, roasted peppers, broccoli, cortija and a slice of avocado and was cooked perfectly. 👌 Great customer service from all 3 staff and a lovely atmosphere. Thank you
Lovely service, fantastic carnitas tacos, yummy margaritas! Overall great experience with authentic Mexican food.
Pleasant Surprise. After a hard week of work, this Redondo Beach Mexican restaurant was the perfect salve to the rigerous week I endured. As I entered, I noted that most of the tables were full. The bar beckoned and an affable waiter named Scott made me feel right at home. I slaked my thirst with a delicious, ice cold Negro Modelo. Chips and salsa were promptly set in front of me as was the remote for the bar TV. My entree was the carne asada with rice, beans, guacamole, pico de gallo and tortillas. The steak was very good, excelling in both tenderness and flavor from the marination. At $23.00 I found my entree to be a good value. I shall return.
One of the best Mexican places we have been to on our trip. Friendly service, amazing food and good margaritas. And all that at a reasonable price. The portions have a good size as well. If we are in the area again we would definitely come back. The only improvement I could think of would be some more interior decoration to improve the atmosphere. Anything else is just great!
The food here is simply incredible as is the service and atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back!
Loved this joint. Excellent food, super friendly service, and nice vibe inside. Had the chicken suiza enchiladas. My girlfriend had the mahi mahi. Both were excellent. Loved their three salsas offered with the chips. All the employees were incredibly friendly.
This is hands down one of the better Mexican restaurants in all of South Redondo. The food is authentically Mexican and is rich in flavor. As an appetizer I had the fish and shrimp Ceviche and small side of Mexican Street corn. Both were delicious. Added bonus let me mention that along with your chips they give you 3 different salsas. I highly recommend this place. Cheers
What a great surprise while visiting! Ordered 2 types of margaritas, signature house and flaco. Both were delicious albeit the flaco was more sour. Chips and a salsa trio were given shortly after being seated. Shrimp enchiladas were served with rice and refined beans. Shrimp was fresh and not frozen. Onsite parking was convenient for parking. It’s a must try.
Nice atmosphere —indoor and outdoor under awning. Food is standard Mexican menu, well made with fresh ingredients, flavorful and portions are good! Chips with three types of salsas are served as soon as you are seated. Service is good! Fair priced. Recommended.
I love this neighborhood gem. Apparently, it's the 3rd and newest restaurant of the 2 brothers. It's not so new; it's been here for at least 6 years. The outdoors is very comfortable and dog friendly year round! The food is phenomenal. Tacos for me are fish and shrimp, and get the guacamole. My boyfriend loves steak, chicken tacos, and cartitas, and when we are hungry or bring a friend, we get the Mojoettea (signature dish, see pic below) Margaritas are phenomenal. I get the skinny, and jason gets the (fat) traditional house and sometimes Cadillac.
Loved the food and the everyone who worked there. Shout out to Miguel who made our night by constantly checking on us and making us laugh. Get the Molcajete to share! The chips and salsa trio was equally great.
OMGoodness .. Often drove by and it looked like no one was in the restaurant, so we never even thought to try it! BUT looked up the reviews on Yelp and we were so surprised on how good the food looked and how nice the restaurant was... so we decided to try it. Oh Boy... FANtastic tasty food, warm friendly staff, delicious drinks and the Owner is a gem of a nice guy!! A must try❣️ Outdoor heated area in front of the restaurant and a cozy dining room inside! Brunch on weekends too (want to try soon). Thank you Rudolfo (the Owner) for a wonderful dining experience ❣️
Great food, fast service! Tacos were delicious, big portions,Margaritas great, but maybe too sweet for my taste. Anyways ,loved it.
Great food, my mom and I split a shrimp cocktail and I ordered a delicious salad with blackened fish. The mixes greens were so fresh. Definitely going back again!
This place is wonderful! Miguel & the rest of the staff were funny and very friendly. The food came out fast and was hot & delicious! We look forward to coming back for another great evening!

The best Mexican food you’ll find in LA. Hands down the best combination of service and authentic quality food.
Fun and friendly service. I try to make it at least once a month. I am not fond of the lady server at all. I prefer someone else over her. Love the owner and the older gentleman they are so friendly which is a big part of going. Food is very good and good price.

This place is absolutely fantastic! The food is delicious, the service is outstanding, and the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and family-friendly. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out — you have to come experience it for yourself. I truly can’t rave about it enough!

i was minimally excited about visiting this location mostly because of the prices for some of the items i noticed and the quality was mediocre as well. we decided to eat outside on the patio and that was probably the highlight of the visit. the parking lot was full so we had to park on the street. if i had to order or suggest something to eat here it would be the shrimp taco and put the "hot" salsa from the table chips on it. the atmosphere was really strange mostly because our waiter was really weird and didn't wear a name tag otherwise i would suggest training him for customer service interactions.
Shoot! Seemed like a nice group who own the place and work there, but... The salsas with the chips totally lacked flavor. They were hot, spicy, but that's it. The ceviche was bland as well. It could use, at a minimum, salt, more citrus.
