The Rockefeller Redondo Beach Reviews
Rockefeller is our go to spot for anything from a working lunch meeting to watching live music in their backyard area.. there is another great people watching patio in the front which can fill up fast during peak times. The menu is perfect for the beach as they have some lighter options and some guilty pleasures and everything in between. They have one of the best fish and chips, great tacos, burgers and they make a great steak sandwich. The mac and cheese, fried chicken sandwich are both great. They have happy hour and a very popular rotating burger of the month special. The service here is always on point.. the staff is very friendly and efficient.. you are never left waiting for help... the entire staff will jump in and help even if you aren't their table. Overall, food, service, location, great vibes.. you really can't go wrong here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Casual fun atmosphere with solid food and good people.
Great little gem hidden in Redondo Beach. Nice crowd and delicious food. Lovely stuff, that is always here to help. We came in a small company, three of us had burgers and one person fish tacos and fries. Loved the food and overall vibes. Place is usually packed, so need to make a reservation or come early.
Friendly service, chill atmosphere and one of the best burgers I've had in a while. The fried chicken sandwich was also delicious.
Red wine sangria was great, Wonton nachos very good, my wife enjoyed the zucchini fries - we were lucky and had the $2 burger happy hour on Tuesday's - excellent burger. And get the cookie with ice cream. You will thank me. Mary who took care of us was just fantastic
Stopped by for dinner, which this place is definitely is more known for brunch, but ended up being a solid dinner choice. We tried the Santa Fe Egg Rolls, BBQ Chicken Flatbread, Rockefeller Gourmet Burger, Chicken Pot Pie, and Collie’s Key Lime Pie. The burger was my favorite of the bunch — actually lived up to the hype and was cooked well. The chicken pot pie surprised me too; really comforting and had good flavor without feeling heavy. Service was friendly and things came out at a steady pace. The place has a relaxed feel and being close to the beach makes it an easy spot to drop into for a meal without overthinking it. A reliable choice if you’re in the area for brunch or dinner. Want to go back and try some other things on the menu.
single greatest place to chill and eat in redondo. vibes are immaculate and the new patio is perfect. highly recommend on any night out in the area!
I enjoyed every aspect of Rockefeller. The staff was friendly, the outside seating was fun and romantic. The red snapper tacos were excellent. They had a good beer selection too. I am not a fan of electronic menus but they have paper ones upon request. Great place to take the family for tacos after a long beach day.
Where business meets brisket… and cocktails. Had an amazing time at Rockefeller with an incredible new crew of networking friends—and let me just say, this spot is built for social media girlboss energy. From the effortlessly cool vibe to the flawless service, it was the perfect backdrop for business chats that flowed as smoothly as the cocktails. Speaking of cocktails… yes, please. And don’t even get me started on the brisket tacos—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The kind of dish that makes you pause mid-convo and moan just a little. Rockefeller is a regular local favorite for a reason. Whether you’re in work mode, flirt mode, or foodie mode—this place delivers every time. I’ll absolutely be back.
We came for Sunday Breakfast. We got a reservation for 3 at 9 am and people were already there seated so it gets busy. I got a hazelnut latte. The foam was so nice and thick. The flavor was subtle but sweet. I also got the Sancho burrito. It was pretty good just wish it were spicier. The servers were friendly. The tots were crispy. I would come again and try the Benedict.
This place is incredible! I always order the Kalbi cheesesteak. The drink menu has vastly improved. The morning breakfast to go burritos are the bomb. Everyone here is courteous and proffesional. Moderate prices that are totally worth it.
"Brunch the socially acceptable excuse for day drinking " The Rockefeller is always a great option especially on weekends. Bottomless mimosas is a great compliment to all of your delicious food cravings. A perfect setting with great drinks, delicious food and amazing company add to this amazing place. Portion sizes are generous enough to share so if your stuck with trying to decide why not order it all. I love starting out with avacado toast just to pair with my first mimosa. Their chilaquiles are a delicious second . The chips are very crunchy still and far from soggy. Full of authentic flavors and topped with an over medium egg to coat the mountain of tortillas once cut into. For a great side and my biggest weakness anytime we visit is definitely the chicken and waffles. I'll admit the crisp of the chicken at times seems inconsistent but the flavor is always phenomenal. When paired with more mimosas for this particular dish I usually reccoment their guava one. The waffles are light, fluffy and savory and their house made hotsauce is "chefs kiss". To finish off Brunch we love splitting the Sancho burrito. A delectable braised short rib filled meal combined with over easy eggs, bacon , hash all wrapped up and topped off with a wet sauce his definitely a home run hitter. If brunch is not your Forte their truffle Mac n cheese and Rockefeller bowl with chicken are just as delicious. No matter what type of food your craving everythingbis amazing. Customer service is phenomenal, they are ada and pet friendly which is a major plus. I do tend to bounce around between here and hermosa beach location but redondo is my favorite. On occasions we have also been able to catch live music and also enjoy datenights here. Coming here is truly a staple for us but Brunch is where it's at.

We had a great experience, super cute place, the host and servers were very nice and the food was good. We got the truffle fries, chicken and waffles and the pork belly Benedict. We will definitely go back when we’re in the area
The burgers are spectacular!!! Prices are still reflecting the the early 2000's, which makes it all the better! The noise level is a bit elevated, which makes it difficult to hear each other, but the food and staff make up for this minor irritation.
Wonderful night out for dinner! All the food was very good. We were allowed to have our dog on the patio, and they even brought him water! The staff was so nice and the food was hot and fresh. We'll definitely be back!

The new lounge chairs outside are so so comfy, we stayed there for some long because of how cozy it was. They gave us blankets too! Mary was very kind and attended us throughout. Will definitely be coming back!
I decided to try Rockefeller in Redondo Beach and the food was good. I got the chilaquiles. I wish they would add some chorizo or some sort of protein with it. Waiter forgot my orange juice and I had to ask for it twice but not a big deal. Vibe was very quiet. Multiple empty tables outside and inside was completely dead but I did visit early around 10am.
There are lots of choices for restaurants and bars in the Riviera Village, but if you haven't tried Rockefeller, it's well worth the visit. The staff were great (very pleasant and accommodating), food was good and we ate outside by a patio heater in a nice green space area. It was busy and parking can be tough as with all locations in this area, but we had a great evening. Oh yeah.....and the curry sweet potato bites stole the show....a must try!

Stopped by here for a small birthday celebration. The place is nice but the drinks and the food was blah to everyone at the table. The cook needs to learn about a lil seasoning help with taste... Salt & pepper can go a long way 😞 Ordered the fish and chips that was a big mistake because the fries are to thin and the fish was even worst with zero taste! I could have made fish sticks at home that taste better tbh. Now concerning the drink is was lacking some kick they didn't order a fruit juice cocktails. But it was nice to try a new place and check the area out for other possible things to try, but highly doubt I'll ever go back to this place if I'm in the area!
I can’t imagine this place in a busy night. There were literally 10 tables with patrons and 15 without. The service was awful. We ordered and out appetizer came out immediately (like 5 minutes). Our dinner took close to 30 minutes, and I had to get up to ask the server for my cocktail. She stated, “oh, he’s making it now.” Again, the place was not even busy, to take 35 minutes to make a drink. We had our meal, before I got my cocktail. We asked for salt, pepper for my warm salad, and condiments for my husband’s burger. We asked the person who delivered our plates. She enthusiastically said sure, then never came back. I had to get up to ask our server and she did get the items. She never stopped once to see how we are doing, how we’re enjoying our meal or even if we need anything. Horrible service. The atmosphere is great. I loved the decor. But we will never be back.
The area in general is pay for parking. This restaurant seems to be busy all the time. We made reservations and was able to be seated right away. The service is very slow. The mac and cheese was delicious. The mimosa was not good. Chicken and waffles was mediocre. Steak salad was good and pork belly benedict was also good.
This restaurant offers a $2 high quality burger with purchase of a $6+ drink per burger on Tuesday. Not bad but it gets super busy, unless you have a reservation, seating may not be ideal.

I was not in any way impressed or satisfied with the quality of food. F-. Wendy's/Habit burger is better. Subpar French fries, bacon must be frozen and microwaved. Fish and chips was a notch above pathetic. Cesar salad worst I've ever had. Steak was mediocre at best. Really not acceptable at these prices or location. Brings the reputation of quality in the area down. Do better.
