Arario Midtown Reno Reviews
The food here is AMAZING. I don't think my boyfriend and I have ever went to a Korean restaurant. We were sure what to order and settled for the bulgogi bowl and the pork bulgogi. Also had the shrimp tempura as an appetizer. Plenty of food! Took home left overs. Also had the Arario Spritz and old fashioned. Total with tip was around $80! Not bad at all!!! Soo good and definitely will be back or for take out.
Everything is great, food service and the environment. Nico, the server was fast, accommodating and excellent. We celebrated our 1st anniversary and it was a great choice to be here ❤️🫰 We ordered Crab tofu, Beef short rib galbi, Seafood Dol-Sot Stone pot bibimbop, Fried udon with garlic shrimp and Cheesecake. Definitely, a must go to!
Such a gem in Reno! One of the best korean food restaurants I’ve ever been to & the food is very affordable. The portions are huge and I thoroughly enjoyed everything that we ordered. Their stone pot bibimbap is super delicious and I also loved their soy garlic chicken wings. Will definitely be back here when I’m in the area again!
One of Reno's best dining experiences! Arario has become our family's favorite stop when we visit Reno. From date night to birthday celebrations it is the perfect restaurant. The service is always outstanding. The servers always make you feel like treasured friends and are very attentive refilling drinks or noticing that my kid is struggling with chopsticks and making him a training pair to make his experience pleasant. The food is consistently perfect. If I could give Arario and their Dol Sot Bibimbap 10 stars I would!
We celebrated my husband’s birthday today and had such a wonderful experience! The server was friendly and quick, the food was delicious, and the place was spotless. They even sang a birthday song for my husband, which made the day extra special. We’ll definitely be coming back!
We came here two weeks ago and were supposed to be in a different Korean Restaurant but we couldn’t find what we were looking for and ended up in this place! It’s amazing food and services. I’m so glad we tried it. Food was great and very affordable!
One of THE BEST Korean fusion restaurants we have ever experienced!! We had their Edamame, Sweet & Spicy K Sauce Chicken Wings, Gambas Al Ajillo & the Beef Bulgogi Bowl... absolutely INCREDIBLE flavors, heat & foodie fun with great prices!!! Thanks so much for making my 2-week work + fun stay so memorable! We'll be back the next time we're in Reno!!
There’s no words to describe the food and service but to give 💯 the food is amazing delicious and I can visualize as if I was in Korea. The seasoning is just right and I just love everything about the flavors. Pair it with a refreshing ice drink while sitting on the patio and vibing is a plus. The waitress is very kind, friendly and genuine.
We were in town on a girls trip when we saw a YouTube video recommending this place so we thought we might try it out. It was the best decision we made the entire weekend!! We tried to edamame with garlic and Parmesan and also the Kimchi fries. DELICIOUS! We also had drinks recommended by our server that were phenomenal, saketini and dragon punch. It was such a cute space and the service was excellent. If you’re in the area give it a try. You won’t regret it.
This has been on my list to check out for quite a while. Great food, great service, good prices, good portions, great presentation, and good flavors. We will be back. The mac salad side was one of my favorite flavors that surprised me. The sandwich was awesome and had really good textures and flavors. The Brussels sprouts were awesome.
It's fantastic here. Korean food, great service, food, friendly 😋
Had dinner with my two sons while vacationing in Reno. Until this one, every meal had been average at best, with a couple bad ones thrown in, so our hopes were not high. However, we were blown away by the interesting menu, delightful staff, and incredible food - wow! We started with the sweet and spicy chicken wings, kimchee fries, and Fire Cracker tater tots - each dish was delicious in different and somewhat unique ways. The chicken wings were cooked perfectly - juicy and tender and smothered in sauce. The fries were topped with kimchee and smothered in a creamy, cheesy sauce, and the tots, while similar (sans kimchee) had their own flavour profile and did not disappoint. We shared two mains - the octopus salad and the bulgogi bowl, and both were fantastic! The octopus was cooked perfectly, tough to do when the tentacles vary in thickness, and the salad was great, with sweet corn offsetting balsamic and chimichurri. My favourite was the bulgogi bowl - the spicy pork, mushrooms, and sauce over rice was the perfect combination for my palette - amazing! I almost forgot - they provide a package of wet wipes with the wings - so much better than a tiny wipe in a small packet, is so greatly appreciated - thanks! My only complaint was the bathrooms - you have to leave the restaurant, head downstairs into a common hallway, and finally make your way to the loo. There is a keypad on the door for security but the door didn’t close properly. It was chilly and raining, so the trip was not pleasant; it would be much less pleasant in a winter snowstorm. Obviously the bathrooms are not an issue as the place was busy. The food sure makes up for the bathroom inconvenience.
I recently dined at Arario and had a delightful experience. The pot stickers, and porky pops were a perfect start to our meal. The pot stickers were impeccably cooked, with a delectable filling that satisfied our taste buds. The porky pops, crispy and flavorful, were a delightful twist on traditional pork bites. For the main course, I opted for the spicy squid, and my wife chose the japchae bowl. The spicy squid had the right balance of heat and tenderness, making it a standout dish. The japchae bowl was a medley of perfectly cooked noodles and vibrant vegetables, creating a harmonious blend of textures and flavors. Our server, Pauleen, played a crucial role in enhancing our dining experience. She was attentive, ensuring our table remained clean and our needs were promptly met. Her friendly demeanor added a personal touch to the service, making us feel welcomed and valued. The overall ambiance of Arario was inviting, with a modern yet cozy atmosphere. The combination of delicious food, attentive service, and a pleasant environment made our visit to Arario a memorable one. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a culinary journey with a touch of warmth and excellent service.
We came here because of the good reviews even though I'm generally not a fan of Asian fusion (grew up in and travel extensively to Asia), and I was very pleasantly surprised. We ordered the beef bulgogi fusion and the classic hot pot beef bulgogi, and I really liked both. The fusion was very well done -- it wasn't trying to taste like the original version, but added a good, complimentary twist to it. The hot pot bowl was also really nice, comforting, and authentic. We'll definitely come back to try the other dishes next time. The only thing that could be improved was the service - we must've asked for our drinks (sodas) 3 times, and utensils the same - the server seemed very frazzled and absent minded despite the place being pretty empty at the time we went.
Arario Midtown offers a delightful dining experience that captures the essence of Korean cuisine while providing a modern twist. Upon entering, the welcoming atmosphere sets the tone for a memorable meal. The decor is a harmonious blend of contemporary and traditional elements, creating a cozy yet stylish environment suitable for casual dining or special occasions. One standout dish at Arario is the Bulgogi Bowl. This dish features tender marinated beef grilled to perfection, delivering a savory sweetness that is hard to resist. Served over a bed of fluffy rice, the bowl is accompanied by fresh vegetables and a rich sauce that ties all the flavors together beautifully. The balance of textures and tastes makes the Bulgogi Bowl not just a meal, but a delightful culinary experience. The service at Arario is commendable, with attentive staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and eager to provide recommendations. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of food and the portions are generous, making it ideal for sharing or enjoying a satisfying solo meal. Whether you're a fan of Korean cuisine or trying it for the first time, Arario Midtown and its Bulgogi Bowl should definitely be on your list. The combination of delicious food, inviting ambiance, and excellent service makes it a true gem in the Midtown area. Don’t miss out on this vibrant spot; it’s sure to leave you craving more.
Place is super cozy it was really full but the waitress was amazing to us food came out pretty quick and we ordered the bulgogi bowl and the kimchi fries for 2 people it was enough and super delicious! Service was great def will come back
Definitely a great place to go to enjoy some Korean food. Atmosphere was good. It’s on the top floor with outdoor and indoor seating. stone pot bibimbop vegetarian option was good. They charge for extra protein be it tofu or meat so every one of those add up. Our server Jacque was very calm and friendly providing the right decisions.
One of my favorite places to eat in Reno! Consistent, fresh and absolutely delicious. Their shrimp tempura is unlike any other I’ve tried with a thicker tempura and perfectly crispy. The bulgogi pork bowl is over the top! The amount of flavor that is packed into every bite is mouth watering and leaves you craving more. It has a pleasant heat to it, wonderful veggies, and perfectly cut and cooked pork. If you are still hungry, add the pot stickers. They have a thicker wrap then traditionally tasted but the are so tasty. Highly recommend trying this place if you are anywhere close to Reno
Probably my favorite full-service restaurant in Reno area! I kinda miss the times when it was possible to order food to go online, but I know they are way too busy now. I have been there several times, and I have never been disappointed. I love the variety of drinks, side dishes, and appetizers, though I must admit I usually just keep ordering the same dish, dolsot bibimbap with beef. Highly recommended! :)
Hands down one of Reno's best restaurants. The food, service, and bar are all excellent. This is one of the places I always recommend to people.
We found this place down the street and had never been to a Korean fusion restaurant before. My gosh was the food amazing! We were in gastro-heaven! The service was also extremely friendly and very helpful. Don't be afraid to experiment, the fusion dishes are extremely delicious with very surprising combinations of ingredients! We ordered way more than our stomachs could handle but never managed to break the bank! We will be returning frequently! Let the pictures speak for themselves
Great food with so much flavor! This was my first time trying this place and I would definitely come back.
May 2024: Came here with colleagues from work and enjoyed a nice dinner. Had some starters including the brussel sprouts, kimchi fries and pot stickers. For my main, I ordered the dolsot bibimbap. Liked the crispy rice. Good mixture of ingredients and beef! Would definitely order this again next time I'm in town! Service was friendly and attentive. Five ⭐ all around!
The food and service are top tier. They were busy but our server was on top of it, and we got our food quickly. We had the beef short ribs and pork bulgogi, both of which were 10/10. The short ribs were delicious and came with some amazing potatoes, the pork bulgogi was the perfect level of spicy. Will be eating here again.
Creative Korean fusion dishes that you'll surely find new and tantalizing to your tastebuds! Many of the dishes seem to be on the sweeter side. While there's a relatively small menu, each of the different appetizers and bowls are different in some way and would definitely tempt me to come back and try them all.
Vegan Food Finder The most satisfying vegan Korean food I’ve had in a while. We ordered the stone pot bibimbap with beyond meat and tofu stew without eggs. Both were delicious, filling, and very enjoyable. (Though they forgot to add salt to our stew but I really like bland food so I didn’t mind.) Most of the side dishes were also vegan- bean sprouts, sweet black beans and pickles- so that was a nice surprise. What truly made our night though was our server- Rain. She was the absolute best server we have ever encountered. It’s not an exaggeration when I say the meal somehow tasted better because of the ambience she brought to the table. She was accommodating, attentive, patient and friendly. At least 2 of the stars in this review go to her. Affordability: 🥦🥦🥦 Heartiness: 🥦🥦🥦🥦🥦 Yumminess: 🥦🥦🥦🥦🥦 Service: 🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑
Arario Midtown is a hidden Gem 💎. It is tucked off in the corner. Located on the second floor. Really cute atmosphere. My waiter Jackie was super friendly and checked ✅ on us. I really like the welcoming vibe I got here. She made me the best Mocktail drink 🍹. I definitely recommend the food. 🍱 it was really authentic. Kimchi was fire 🔥. Give this place a try when exploring Midtown.
USA Today came out with a list of the 100 best restaurants in the country. 3% are in Reno, which seems crazy, and Arario is one of them. Not crazy at all. Very delicious and very hip! Also, very fast…
Great fusion Korean-American food. Very good service and good prices. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. It's a little busy but the restaurant is fairly big with two bars if you don't need a private table. There is a nice patio with a good view of midtown which is open when it's warm. If your looking for authentic Korean food or some good tasting American food this place is a must try.
Bold Korean Fusion with Exceptional Service Arario Midtown is my go-to for bold Korean fusion. The Bulgogi Bowl, especially with a fried egg, is packed with umami, and their meat substitute is impressively close to the real thing. At times, the vegetables in the Bulgogi Bowl can be a bit underdone compared to other times, but I still enjoy it and keep coming back. The staff is always kind and welcoming—even when I grab takeout, they make me feel like a regular. I’ve also brought coworkers here for lunch meetings a handful of times—the spacious booths and outlets for laptops make it perfect for a working lunch. Arario Midtown consistently delivers on flavor and service. Highly recommend!
This Korean restaurant is very nice. It’s located on a second floor in a very well maintained center. The food was delicious, even the mini complementary appetizers. The server was very kind and helpful (Sammie). I will definitely come back! I recommend to go on afternoon when is less crowded.
Very good fusion Korean food. They have a nice bar and the service is good. We got the bugogi pasta and the short rib kalbi entree. The plates are balanced with vegetables and potatoes. The kimchee is very delicious. I really like the Macaroni side dish. Restrooms are down stairs and they have parking across the street. Pay 2 text parking and then the restaurant will validate it for you so it's free parking.
If I could give this restaurant more stars I would. I was recommended this spot by a local and it did not disappoint. First, we started with a Casey mule. Then for the appetizers, we got edamame, pot stickers, & garlic soy wings. The wings were AMAZING. We could’ve eaten 3 more orders of them. For the entrees, we got the bulgogi bowl and the japchae with Chicken. Let me tell you I’m still thinking about how good the pork was in the bulgogi bowl. You MUST order it! The Japchae was okay - I’m personally not a huge fan of glass noodles but the chicken was delightful. We didn’t order any desserts but looking around at other tables they looked delicious. If you are in Reno you have to go to Arario. Make sure to make a reservation before!
Great Korean fusion restaurant with wonderful atmosphere, a nice selection of drinks and delicious Korean dishes.
Korean surprise in Reno. I am a foodie that have lived in Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Craving Korean food while visiting my sister in Reno, I found Arario and was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the dishes, the service and atmosphere. We went for lunch and ordered mussels as appetizer served in delicious broth, vegan Japchal and beef short rib Galbi in huge portions. Every dish was amazing and the staff and service were impeccable. Thank you for such a memorable day in Reno
The food was amazing our servers were very nice the short ribs are amazing cooked perfectly the beans were a little weird but we’re ok for most people if you like barbecue it is a must visit the air was a little dry but I guess with a stove it can’t really be too moist
We celebrated my wife’s birthday and the food and staff were amazing! We’ve been coming here for over 6 years and never had a bad experience. Today the staff and owner really shined when an accident occurred at the restaurant. A sever accidentally spilled soup on my wife’s jacket and the owner and our waitress took immediate actions to resolve the issue. In all honesty it was just an accident and things happen when your a busy restaurant. I was not looking for any compensation, but the owner (TJ) went over and beyond to make things right. This restaurant is a gem in Reno and It’s the little things that make this restaurant so special. Thank to TJ and your team. We will be back soon!
We’ve been here twice and had such a great experience both times! TJ is awesome- he went out of his way to make trainers for my kid’s chopsticks. The food is amazing. 10/10!! Will be back for sure.
I’ve been here multiple times over the years and the food is great! For appetizers, I recommend the kimchi fries - honestly the best thing on the menu. If coming as a big group, the space may be a bit tight, but I think the food is worth it.
Absolutely delightful experience at Arario Midtown! The food here is simply outstanding. Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and clearly made with high-quality, fresh ingredients. Beyond the delicious food, the service was impeccable. Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a casual dinner or a special occasion. If you're looking for a fantastic Korean restaurant in Reno, you have to try Arario. It's a true gem and I can't wait to go back!
I shared a wonderful meal here that was absolutely delicious! There is a nice vibe in the restaurent and service was a great. The Bulgogi Bowl was delicious. A little noisy inside but it was on a busy Friday evening. Would recommend!
Amazing food, gluten free options were some of the best I’ve had. Our waitress was great and attentive as well. Loved the ambiance.
I asked the waiter what the top item on the menu was, and was told the bulgogi bowl. It did not disappoint. The rest of my party enjoyed their food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a bit noisy, but we could still hear each other.
Our experience at Arario was great! I'm glad that we made a reservation for Friday night because the restaurant was very full. We got seated right away, which was nice. Parking is an issue in the area because you have to find street parking so make sure to get there with enough time to make your reservation. The server was nice and friendly. The ambiance is chic casual so whether you are dressed for a night out or in hiking clothes (like we were), you won't be out of place. We ordered a Sapporo and a German Reisling for drinks. They have cocktails but I thought they were a tiny bit overpriced for cocktails. For food, we ordered the fried mackerel as an appetizer and the Ikaika bowl and the traditional beef bulgogi. The food came out pretty quickly and the portions are big. The mackerel was different and interesting. It was fried but the meat was still soft. There were small bones but easy to eat. I liked the crunch skin but my husband thought it was bitter. At times, it got tough after chewing a bit, so I'd say it wasn't perfect. The dressing that came with it was soy based and added a layer of sweetness. If you're in the mood to try something different, I'd give this a go. The Ikaika bowl was our favorite. They say it their version of a loco moco. It was very very good! The beef patty was medium well and came with a fried egg (sunny side up), black bean gravy, crunchy veggies, pita chips on a bed of rice. I should've asked for the egg to be scrambled because I hate runny yolk. But despite that, this dish was yummy. I think it needed a little more seasoning (salt) than it had. Once mixed, the gravy, the veggies, the chips and the meat really added texture to the rice. Since the portion was huge, we ended making a brunch out of the leftovers the next day. The traditional bulgogi was decent. They gave the rice separately. The beef itself was good but the rest of the dish needed a wow factor for seasoning. The portion was also quite big and we ended up adding this to our brunch the next day with the ikaika. The table accompaniments - Mac and cheese, sweet black beans, pickled cucumbers, kimchi were very Americanized. The kimchi was not as zingy as we would like. I hated that the black beans were sweet, because a savory flavor would've added a new taste texture to our food overall. I think for the portions, the prices are ok, but this restaurant is a little on the pricier side. It is worth a try for sure!
Always fun to visit Arario!! The bar is a great option is you’re looking to catch a sports game, drink, and eat. Love to order a Terra beer with the meal 😌 Refreshing and filling!
We ordered something soup and squid. We liked the food, vibes, and service. The side dishes were kinda interesting, the bean was overcooked. Overall the foods were salty. I wasn’t sure if the people in Reno eat salty or not, but I think it was pretty salty. The noodle in the soup was great but had like 7-8 noodles. The food didn’t sit in well, I assume it was because of the spicy squid. I would go again if I needed, but I won’t be that excited to go though.
Service was friendly and warm but slow. Food was not good - Brussels sprouts were boiled, chicken was doused in sauce. The noodles were good but not incredible and it was very expensive.
The staff are friendly, service was great. The lady who served me was very bubbly and friendly. Love that so much. Atmosphere was ok, restaurant is a little crammed in a tight space. I have always been skeptical of modernized or fusion dishes of Asian food, I grew up eating my family’s and friend’s dishes which were made traditionally and good. If it ain’t broken don’t change it. I’ve had restaurants who have opened up my idea and taste buds on fusion foods and modernized Asian food. The dishes served to me at Arario didn’t quite make me more delighted to try more fusion Asian dishes. If anything it’s made me want to make my own bulgogi at home after eating what I ate. I had ordered bulgogi pasta and it tasted like water bland beef pasta. In theory I thought this would be perfect since I love pasta and bulgogi, the blend of the two just doesn’t work well together at all. The poke salad, was just what I should’ve suspected greens and poke. Dessert and cocktails were probably the BEST thing I ate there. I don’t think I’ve been to a restaurant where I said the dessert and cocktails were my favorite. Fusion has been used a sloppy word in culinary and has been used to describe a chef who opens a restaurant and hasn’t mastered culinary skills in both. I didn’t like the Korean or American aspect of any dish served to me today.
Went here for my birthday, really excited to try it as I heard good things! Service was awful, my cocktail had been sitting at the bar for 20minutes before the server brought it over. He kept mentioning how slow of a day it was, which was weird considering the service was also slow. My food was okay not worth the price. Overall very disappointed and won’t be returning.
Ate Sunday night on a three day weekend. Ordered three starters, wings with ginger soy, ribs with sweet and spicy, and shrimp tempura. Chicken and shrimp were good, tempura could’ve been executed better, chicken was solid. Ribs tasted previously frozen with a powdery texture, sauce was overly sweet, not at all spicy. Wife got the poke appetizer, I tried to talk her out of it because the ocean is nowhere close to Reno. The ahi tuna was probably the least appetizing texture for fish, closest thing I could compare it to it’s vacuumed sealed watermelon. Just awful! I got the Japchae, added garlic shrimp for $8. The shrimp was completely without seasoning, no salt, no garlic, but temped perfectly. The noodles were great, but the veg tasted like a freezer. More seasoning and sauce would’ve helped, but they’re using frozen veg and it tasted like the inside of a freezer, gross. Service was great, loved that they were blasting bad bunny. My buddy ordered the burger well done, it was served medium because someone in the kitchen had sense, fries were good, unfortunately, he had the best dish of the night.
