The best pizza in Manhattan
Pizza is delicious. Small place. Nice. Clean. You can tell the quality is high for the their ingredients. Not traditional style pizza and very good.
Best homemade Italian sandwiches and gelatos. Pizza n Pasta too.
One of the best Real Italian pizza in NYC . Great service !
My friends and I love coming here for our lunch break every time we are in the office together. Food is delicious, there are lots of options, service is always fast and people are kind, music and atmosphere are always good when we decide to sit inside, and prices are very reasonable.
This place is the real deal for anyone who loves authentic italian pizza. The hazelnut gelato is amazing as well. Probably my favorite thing here are the puree'd veggie soups served with italian bread. For panini I love the caprese (fresh mozzarella, tomato and pesto on focaccia). I also love the ciabatta 'Baretto' which is a panini with truffle paste, Taleggio cheese, arugula, tomato & prosciutto di Parma. Yum!
In July, while attending a conference in the city, my wife and I had a beautiful experience at this establishment. I keep forgetting to write a review, but it was too good to forget! We shared an amatriciana for lunch at the bar. Amatriciana is one of our favorite dishes to order when we’re in Rome. Il Baretto’s amatriciana brought us back to the Eternal City! And Alberto, the owner, treated us like guests in his home. Our first experience was so lovely that we returned the next day for our conference lunch break. This time we tried un panino. It was also very good. Can also vouch for the coffee and the gelato. No joke, the chocolate gelato brought us back to Italy. Thank you, Alberto. We will never forget our experience at Il Baretto!
il baretto used to be a dine-in restaurant and downsized to a take-out place a few years ago, but the food remains excellent! always fresh ingredients, flavorful but not too salty, and the staff is very friendly. highly recommend this gem!
This place is loved by local residents and workers nearby. All pizzas are square and crust is amazing. And spaghetti comes with fresh pasta!!
Amazing quality of pizza and gelato! Owner was attentive to checking quality of food and has reasonable prices for the area. Will be coming back next time around
The panino was excellent and I would absolutely come back to try more! I heard the (owner?) takes frequent trips back to Italy so not sure if he's always around but he's a very nice guy. The pizza and pasta could use more marinara because it was very good but a bit dry. Nevertheless, everything was fresh, seemed authentic, and was reasonably priced (slightly more than expected).
For two margherita slices a full pie of pepperoni and two carbonaras. Everyone enjoyed everything. Visiting from Texas and glad we stopped by here. My son said was best pasta ever. The place is small inside but there is area out side to eat. Prices are reasonable. Overall nothing to ding the place, I am very pleased.
Great pizza spot. Tiny but who cares for a few slices to go. I went with a sausage slice and a mushroom slice. Very unique pizza. Crispy crust, fluffy dough, fresh sauce and cheese, and plenty of toppings. I was already very happy with the food but the fact they had a great drink selection, including kombucha, really made me love this place. Thanks for the great meal!
Great homemade prepacked gelato and sorbets with some really good looking and delicious pizzas. It is to go but there are some seats just outside. Prices are decent and they also have plenty of salads and pasta options. Will definitely come back. They also have a nice coffee collection and assorted canned drinks for sale.
Hey there, allow me to take a moment to tell you how awesome my experience was at IL Baretto today. Firstly, the eatery was very clean and well organized, the cashier was welcoming, polite and informative, he (Alberto Tartari) was more than willing to recommend a few items which I was more than happy to try. I love pizza alot and have tried alot from places like Domino's, Little Ceasar, Pizza Hut, and Papa John's but today I can confidently tell you that I tried the BEST PIZZA IN NYC. lol That said, if you looking to have a good time and just experience an authentic Italian flavors in Pizza, Sandwiches, Salads and even desserts, feel free to stop by IL Baretto anytime, I know for sure that I will be going back. 😉 *There are no indoor dinning at this time. So please come prepared to either takeout or use the outdoor dinning. 01/25/22- Indoor dinning now available.
Love love this simple Italian home cooking. The simplest food is the best. I had octopus with salad (picture below) It’s just so delicious and healthy. The ‘ear’ pasta is al dente and tasty. The place is casual and small so it’s better to make reservation. Very popular among the locals, it had outdoor seating. I have yet to try their wine collections. Can’t wait to go back.
Truly sad when you hear great things about a place order delivery and they never provide the food and don’t answer the phone. Sucks ordering a meal for your family and after almost 2 hours they never did anything. This was on friday the 26th
Everyday I would walk by here and see numerous people come out with pizza boxes. It appeared very popular so I decided to stop in today. I was sadly disappointed. The margarita pizza had no flavor and it wasn't what I expected. The pepperoni pizza was a little bit better but not by much. It was pretty average. Nothing to go " oh my god" over. I saw other choices so hopefully those taste better and maybe in time I'll try them again. But initially, my first thought was I would not be back.
I really wanted to like this place. It's close to my apartment and might have been the ideal place to pick up a quick dinner. I was entranced by their pictures of lasagna. The product is nothing like it's representation--it's layers of pasta and some cheese, no meat, probably microwaved. This place might be okay for pizza (which looked to be sitting out for while) but it's really nothing more than a quick, cheap, not that good, lunch spot for those unfortunate enougt to work in the neighborhood. Don't go here.
