Decades Ridgewood Reviews
My favorite pizzeria in New York City. it’s great for families, friends from out of town, random week nights, and any sort of other occasion. Ingredients are all top notch. The interior is so welcoming and it’s in an amazing neighborhood; if you’re in Ridgewood or nearby head to Decades. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and warm.
Love Decades! Delicious pizza and great service. We rented the space for our baby shower and our friends & fam loved it. Now we bring our baby here, just go on the earlier side with kids.
Love the experience at Decades Pizza! The restaurant experience they’ve got is amazing and shines through every dish… get parmigiana and the Caesar.
Went for a late and was met with a very hospitable staff that answered all of questions. Our group had ordered two pizzas, arancini, Caesar salad, and meatballs. Would definitely come back here.
We order delivery from Decades on the regular. The food is always delivered fresh and well packaged. Pizzas, salad, and cutlets are our weekly go-to with a brownie cake from time to time for our family of three. Everything is always delicious.
Stopped by last night and had a great experience. We made a reservation via Resy and were seated right away. We loved the ambiance. It gave such an intimate, close knit setting. The music is so cool and trendy - goes along well with the vibe. The menu is straight to the point with amazing options. We ordered the Caesar salad, VCR pizza, espresso pot de creme dessert and a cocktail. First of all, my cocktail (Night Rally) is soooo delish!! The Caesar salad is an extreme 10/10. I absolutely loved it! The VCR pizza… another 10/10! The sauce and pepperoni and a bit spicy for those who are sensitive to spice. Nonetheless it was phenomenal. The dessert was such a pleasant, light surprise! I asked if they have an affogato and the substitute was such a relief! We loved it. Just one downside with one of the employees there - she wasn’t too friendly. Good thing she wasn’t our server. Either way, I absolutely would return in a heartbeat!!
I love these neighborly pizza joint serving great pizza and great cocktails. This is how every Saturday night should be. Let me just say incredible crust on their pizza, but it’s the feeling you get when you first walk in and the staff is so inviting. Right away it sets the stage for a great dining experience. I strongly recommend getting a reservation ahead especially after 7pm weekend.
This might be a bold statement, but Decades Pizza is Top 3 in all of NYC. Hard to describe how delicious the pies are. The topping ingredient quality hits and the crust is perfectly cooked. Just wow. Go out of your way to come here - it is a must. Recommend booking a table ahead of time on Resy. We ordered the supreme and potato n’duja, as well as a summer tomato salad. Will be back for more in the near future.
Decades is a modern casual pizza joint that recently opened in Ridgewood, Queens. Co-founded by two pizza-lovers, Zach Hughes and Paul Cacici, who share some serious NYC restaurant and pizza cred, previously working at legendary spots like Roberta's, Union Square Cafe, Llama Inn, and finally, Ops, where the two met in 2017. As Ridgewood is heating up with several hot new openings, this is another great spot the neighborhood has added to its repertoire. The fresh starters, perfectly composed New York style pizza, and fun natural wine list makes this the perfect weeknight dinner spot to catch up with friends or have a casual date night. I highly recommend starting off with the stunning and delicate Scallop Crudo starter before indulging in some large pizzas. For the pizza, I had to try "The Regular" pizza made with tomato, basil, mozzarella, parmigiano, and olive oil. I loved the classic New York style, with crust that perfectly walked the line between doughy and crispy. A bottle of the Joao Pato "Maria Duck" orange pet-nat.
It’s close to the largest $23 gluten free whole pizza I’ve had in NYC. I got the VCR pie, highly recommend and I’m excited to try the other options.
Love this place, but I mistakenly ordered the GF pizza and only realized once I got home that it looked nothing like the photo on the website. It just wasn’t what I expected. The staff were great when I called — they replaced it free of charge and were really helpful. That said, the website could really use an update. The standard pie and the GF pie are very different, and the current photos are a bit misleading. I had to drive back to swap it, which could’ve been avoided with accurate images. Still a fan of this spot, just hoping the online menu gets updated! The first image is the website and the others are mine - the reality - much deeper pie, no crust, and in my opinion, not nice at all.
We’ve been here several times, and they have the best Caesar salad in the city. As for the pizzas, I’m still undecided. You can’t go wrong with a classic, but the other options seem a bit lackluster. The dough is perfect but they can work on taste. I also think their prices might have changed since our last visit a few months ago.
I live around the corner from Decades and have been wanting to try this place for a while. Unfortunately, I felt quite disappointed with the food. We ordered takeaway and we got a caesar salad w/ chicken, chicken parm, and the asparagus and carrots. To be fair, we did not order the pizza, so I can’t speak to that. The food was mediocre, the portions small and extremely overpriced. The chicken parm was overcooked and dry, the carrots and asparagus were $16 and there were like 8 small carrots and 8 shriveled asparagus sprigs. That being said, the staff was friendly and the ambiance is really nice. I understand that restaurants need to meet their bottom line and I’m sure it’s a nice place to meet for dinner with friends and have drinks, but if a pizza place is going to charge these prices, at least have large portions and/or have stand out food. I could get the same order from any local Italian restaurant in the area for half the price and much larger portions. It blows my mind what people are willing to pay for mediocre food in this area, just because the interior is nice. If you’re looking for amazing pizza, go to Mano’s.
