Las Chilangas Ridgewood Reviews
First time ordering here. Ordered over the phone on a Friday and the pickup was quick. Ordered a torta Puerca, burrito and tacos. All hit the spot and we will definitely be returning. Couldn't get a picture of the torta but it was really good! Went for second time! And just about my favorite Chorizo tacos! Carnitas tacos are so delicious too! Looking forward to dining in for lunch or dinner!
Very delicious tacos! I got tacos de birria and they were amazing. The tacos de cecina and quesadilla were very good as well. I also love the decor!
Great atmosphere and amazing food, everything I’ve has been delicious. Try the quesabirria tacos
Excellent service, clean space, chill atmosphere, and delicious food. The red pozole was the perfect cure for my hangover. We also tried the sincronizadas, al pastor taco, barbacoa taco, mole enchiladas, cafe de olla, jamaica, and flan de coco. Everything was delicious and well made, even the beans and sauces were great. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu.
10/10, 100% of the time!!! this place is my absolute go to restaurant for mexican food; it’s one of the best, if not THE best, mexican food i’ve had in ny! family owned and the service is impeccable!!! i think they know me by now because i get the same thing religiously and one time i forgot to add cheese to my order and the server was like “cheese?” 😊 speaking of, their elote is bomb n the birria torta (w cheese) is beyond decadent 🫶🏽
Will def be going back whenever I’m in the area. Not only was all the food we got SOO food but the customer service was amazing. It seems like a smaller family owned spot and the owner was so kind and helpful. The portions are big and everything tasted fresh and hot. If you’re craving tacos or just Mexican food, def check this place out!!
One of the coolest Mexicans spots in the area!!! Traditional food from El DF- I love my quesadilla de Masa con chorizo. Flautas are a great choice, tacos de pescado incredible too, tacos al pastor, the drinks I like the aguas frescas. Service is great, prices affordable, the music is on point - love when they play Luis Miguel songs. I do recommend this extraordinary place-will make u feel that u are in Mexico city. Thank you to all the ladies who cook for us and the staff that provides a wonderful service.
disclaimer: an asian living in japan who never been to mexico, so im not here to judge on authenticity, but service and taste. came before 12 and was the only one there. Serve me with tortilla chips and home made salsa and verde sauce. quite spicy. ordered Tacos de Birria and it was amazing. They are quite a big portion and sort of messy but I would still eat there than have it take out. but I still choose to eat with my hands any day. Tamarind juice was so good (and needed to calm my palette) I will 100 % visit again and try more food. The 2 men who served me was kind and lovely who tries to always attend to my needs (more tissues, wifi, etc)
Nothing prepared me for the taste-bomb so colourful they dance on my palate. Every bite is a mouthful of spice, meat, filling, cilantro, salsa verde y rojo (I made these up .. sorry but they’re salsas to die for) .. with a squirt of the lime, chunks of cheese balances the whole power of taste. The tacos were a bit soggy as I didn’t eat it on site but brought it home, but as it got limpier, messier, I’m glad I’m home to devour such flavourful tacos without embarrassing myself in public. The consommé is liquid gold I can slurp this any time of the day. Spicy hot but not too chilly to numb my palette it is ‘noisily slurping off the cup’ good. Every spice got its own time in the taco sun. Amazing. Will be back! (Where’s my beer)
Everytime im craving a quesadilla or some tacos, even pozole! this is the place to go! This is the only place my 8 year old boy will be happy to eat at. He is always asking if we can go to Las Chilangas! :) my husband tells me this place reminds him of his Mexico💚 they have a really good presentation and their food taste even better!
3/24/22: Had the quesatacos de birria which is 3 tortillas half fried (so a bit crunchy but still a bit soft), filled with Oaxaca cheese, cilantro, onions, and birria. You also get a cup of birria consome on the side to dip into. It was pretty good though I think I'd like it even better if the tortillas were full hard shell crunchy.
