I ordered the Paneer Tikka Masala and they were more than willing to adjust my food for a nut allergy. It was delicious, still creamy and not too spicy. The garlic naan was also so good, crispy and the perfect amount of garlic.

Absolutely loved the food at Simon Restaurant! The momo were outstanding — perfectly steamed, juicy, and packed with flavor, just like authentic Nepali momos back home. The Jhol on the side had the right balance of spice and tang, which really elevated the dish.

Great food! The workers are super kind and it’s an amazing spot for Nepali and Indian food in the heart of Ridgewood. Deserves way more foot traffic, I love bringing my parents to this spot and they love it right back. Definitely worth checking out or ordering from if you’re in the area

I feel like it is a blessing to have inmigrants to come to the United States. They are not a lot of Indian restaurants here in Ridgewood. The ones that have been here for a long time are not so popular. But this restaurant I feel like I was in India. The service, the family vibes, the intimacy I felt inside the restaurant eating, and everything else was amazing. I had this drink called the mango lassi. I also had chicken biryani. The Garlic naan bread. Also the chicken Samosa. I know I eat a lot. I will definitely come back again and bring my family and friends. I appreciate this restaurant so much .five stars.

Food is really good and servers are super kind! Price is also very affordable and great portions. One note I would say is that the dine-in experience felt a bit empty, quiet and too bright, but the restaurant has already a really cute decor and set up. I suggest they just turn off the ceiling fluorescent lights, leaving on just the warm table lamps and add a bit of background music to make the atmosphere warmer and more appealing. This restaurant deserves to be full :)

One of those unexpected finds in NYC! Unassuming place with friggin phenomenal food! The Indian dishes were all excellent, top 10 for sure. But the Steamed chicken MOMO dumplings were out of this world! First time we ever had them anywhere. The textures as well as the flavors of their food were fantastic. It felt like you were a guest at someone's home cooked meal who loves to cook. Also kudos for restroom with excellent privacy and security and far more elbow room than typical in a storefront operation. The joint was pretty empty but there was a lot of delivery trade going on. This place should be packed! And the prices were a bargain for the quality and quantity of food. We couldn't finish any dish, so get to look forward to having the leftovers during the February snowmaggedon. We had 3 entrees (with meat in all of them) and a generous order of Naan for about $60 with tax - and this will be at least 4 meals. This is the first time I've ever been impressed to the degree I left a review. Go hungry!

Absolutely fantastic Nepalese food! We tried the jhol momo, steam momo, and paneer tikka masala, and every single dish was top class. The jhol momo truly stood out—hands down one of the best I’ve ever had, bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced spice. The momos were fresh and tender, and the paneer tikka masala was rich and delicious. On top of the amazing food, the hospitality was excellent—warm, welcoming, and attentive. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic Nepalese cuisine. Will definitely be back!

I went Simon’s Kitchen on Friday with my friends and it is outstanding. The food is consistently delicious and fresh, but the service is what truly makes this place special. The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive from the moment you walk in. She checks in at the right times, handle requests quickly, and always make sure you’re comfortable. Even when it gets busy, she stays organized and patient, and orders still come out fast. The whole experience feels smooth, warm, and genuinely cared for. Excellent food, spotless space, and top-tier service—an easy 5/5.

Phenomenal food. Went there with one other person and ordered the chicken momo dumplings, chicken korma, chicken biryani, and samosas. The momo had a wonderful flavor and the meat inside also had a really nice texture. The Korma, birayni and samoas were also the best ive had compared to all the other indian places in bushwick and ridgewood. Im actually mad at myself for never eating here before. It is now my go to place.

We love Simon! It’s such a great neighborhood go-to and quickly becoming a staple. The service is wonderful and fast. The best part is obviously the food. Every dish we’ve tried is so good and flavorful. Definitely recommend especially for vegetarians in the neighborhood.

I’ve walked past Simon’s Indian Nepal Restaurant in Ridgewood for years. It’s one of those low key spots that looks like it has been part of the neighborhood forever. I’m not sure how long it has actually been there or whether it ever changed ownership, but one thing is certain, I finally decided to go in and I’m glad I did. The first time I tried it, I was honestly surprised by how good the food was. So surprised that I had to go back again just to make sure it was not a fluke. It was not. They absolutely came through a second time. If you do not want your food spicy, just let them know and they will accommodate you. If you do, get ready for a nice little spice sensation. What really shocks me is how empty it often looks. The restaurant is not dirty, but it definitely gives you that straight from Nepal or India vibe. Simple, no frills, authentic. Maybe people judge it by appearances, but that would be a mistake. The staff is incredibly friendly. Usually there is one waitress and what seems like one or two cooks in the back. It feels small, personal, and genuine. I am almost certain everything is made fresh and you can taste it. The spices are blended in a way that makes every dish rich, balanced, and unforgettable. Another thing worth mentioning is the portion sizes. They are huge. It is very easy to over order, especially since the prices are very reasonable. Most dishes can easily be shared, so be careful when ordering because you might end up with more than you expect. At the same time, that is part of the advantage. If you take it to go, you will have delicious leftovers the next day. I have eaten at Indian restaurants in Manhattan and even in London, and I am telling you this little hole in the wall can compete with the big names. No exaggeration. It is right next to Rudy’s Bakery, and if you know the area, you have probably passed it without thinking twice. Do not make that mistake again. This is an underdog that deserves to be top dog. If you want authentic flavor, warm service, generous portions, and food that truly delivers, give it a shot. You will probably be as surprised as I was.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best Food & Sweetest Service You’ll Ever Find From the moment I stepped in, I knew this place was something special. The aroma of spices and fresh herbs was intoxicating, and every dish that came to our table simply blew my mind. The momos were perfect juicy, savory, with just the right amount of chutney on the side. The butter chicken was rich and flavorful, and the dal makhani was creamy in the most comforting way. Even the naan came crisp, warm, and fluffy exactly how it should be. The chicken tikka came out sizzling juicy tender fulll of flavor. The chicken tikka masala was to die for, and the shrimp byrani OMGGGG. I was literally speechless. The flavors just burst in your mouth. Oh and the 🥭 lassi YUMMMMMMM!. Samosas also to die for. We couldn't stop eating. Lol But what really made this evening unforgettable was the service. Our waitress, shr was an absolute gem. The sweetest soul ypu will ever meet. She greeted us with a warm smile and a genuine hello, asked thoughtfully about spice preferences, and made great recommendations. She never rushed us, always checked in at just the right times, and treated us like family. When I thanked her and told her how amazing everything was, she blushed and replied, “I’m just happy you enjoyed.” That’s an understatement. My best friend and I work overnights and he was falling asleep. She got us a pillow so he can nap while the food was being made. We felt so at home. It is peaceful serene quiet and we loved it. If you want outstanding Nepali + Indian food and service that warms your heart, this is the place. I’ll be back, again and again.

Food here was amazing- it took a bit for the food to come out, but everything we had was flavorful, tender, and clearly made with care - some of the best Indian food I've had in a while. The restaurant itself is really cute, and has a mom and pop vibe. Will definitely be coming back here again!

Wonderful place. From the moment you walk in, the hostess was extremely hospitable and kind. The food was amazing and fresh. While I did take my food to go, it was still nice and hot by the time I returned home. I will certainly come back again for a dine-in meal experience.

This local gem serves aromatic and deliciously spiced food. The mulgutany soup warmed my palette on this cold night. The bhindi masala was perfectly cooked with nuanced melding of flavors. Chicken saag was very nicely done, too.

Simon’s Kitchen did not disappoint. The lamb biryani was packed with flavor, the chicken soup hit the spot, and the veggie samosas were seasoned well, crispy and fresh. Friendly service and generous portions. Easily the best biryani around—I’ll be back soon!

Food was great and staff was absolutely friendly and attentive. We really liked the food here, our only minor nitpick was we found the momo’s slightly dry. But, they still had good flavor. Would definitely recommend trying this place out.

Overall the food is decent. The Fried chicken momo was the best one out of all, highly recommend. Very upset that they do not serve thalis (platter) dishes — I think they should to compete and stick out against other Nepali restaurants in the neighborhood.

The delivery was late because even though I ordered through the site listed by them, they said they didn't get the order. When I have eaten in person, the food was better. For take out, my dal was very very watery and there were barely any shrimp in the biryani. Also, their preferred site charged a 6.98 delivery fee plus the same for taxes. I just didn't like my meal this time but I'm glad it has been good for others.
