Super delicious Chicken Mali. The waitress was very kind.
Attentive, delicious and sweet atmosphere.
I live nearby and I get food constantly. As a nepali, love their food, and especially the momo.
Best lamb tikka masala ever and friendly service!

Wonderful food and staff! Great cozy atmosphere.
Nice yeah I am readyexperience dining in Simon restaurant, recommended to everyone
The best food service I’m really appreciate. Thank you
Absolutely delicious, hearty Nepalese meal. Still one of the best places to grab a bite in Ridgewood -- and the new owners are incredibly sweet and helpful.
YUM very good food and the service was also good. We sat in the restaurant and ate. It was chill, and we could tap to pay with a credit card or phone which is good because I forgot my wallet and my friend forgot their debit card 🥹
The food here is so so so yummy and the staff are very friendly:) The chat is amazing, I dream about it when I’m not here The chili momos are also delicious and I also love the paneer makhani and vegetable chow mein!!!
Great food .. i will definately visit again
Very kind and attentive server, food was great.
so good!!!! loved the paneer tikka masala :)
Great food. Wonderful service.
I order the momo from the simon's kitchen and even though it was 20 mins drive, It is still warm and fresh. So greatful for the food
Ordered butter chicken and garlic naan for delivery and was not disappointed. Definitely will order again :)
a neighborhood gem! Delicious, generous portions, very reasonably priced, and lovely vibes from the proprietors :)
I went there for Tea but Sunil was convinced to taste some authentic Nepali food. It was super delicious. highly recommended.
Very friendly restaurant and great okra curry
Super yummy new spot!!!! So glad it's in the neighborhood. Everyone there is really nice and the food is delicious.
Really good, amazing flavors, highly recommend and will be back, they even gave us free appetizers !
Incredible food and service! Quiet, cozy interior — everything we had was delicious
Really yummy. Have come a few times and brought different people each time and everyone always loves it!
Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, and super kind and awesome service! 10 out of 10 will be back :)
Delicious food and charming vibe. Curries are packed with flavor, heat, and a bit of sweetness. Full spices galore.
Chicken tikka masala is delicious! Lamb biryani is on point! Writing the review as I eat it. They are not cheap with the meat like most other places which I appreciate. This is exactly how a lamb biryani should be made. Ordered through uber eats and food was fresh and still warm despite the travel time. Great to know I have a new go to spot anything I am craving Indian food since my last favorite place shut down.
Small and simple. But delicious food. Fresh papadam and great chicken burma
Great service, amazing food—so flavorful! Best biryani and naan, I’ll definitely be back.
Ordered takeout and the food was incredible! Super friendly service too. Thank you!!
The food was delicious, and the staff is incredibly kind! Come try their food out. :)
Loved our dinner here. We shared the Chili Momo’s and the Chat for appetizers which were absolutely delicious together. Then we had Paneer Makhani and vegetable chow mein which were both wonderful. Great garlic naan too! Overall loved it, highly recommend!
We loved the spicy momos and the paneer kadai. Yum!
i love to come here. Absolutely delicious and great service. Great restaurant, authentic food, unique flavors.
The chicken chillli was so yummy and the mango lazzi very creamy and delicious
So surprised this isn’t rated higher! I live nearby and go here or order in often. Genuinely the best Indian and Nepali food I know of in nyc. Might be a hot take but I think it beats the trendy Nepali place nearby.
The food was really good and the service was so nice! Highly recommend
Everything here is delicious. Came for Samoas, stayed for everything else! Will be back
Absolutely amazing. Great introduction to Nepalese food
Cute little place with amazing food. I highly recommend the chicken momo
Food was fresh and extremely flavorful. Totally recommend!
Chili chicken Momos are puuuurfect. Definitely my favorite
Simon’s Kitchen did not disappoint. The lamb biryani was packed with flavor, the chicken soup hit the spot, and the veggie samosas were seasoned well, crispy and fresh. Friendly service and generous portions. Easily the best biryani around—I’ll be back soon!
Food was amazing. We got chicken momos and the lamb korma. Great portion sizes great flavor. I just wish some music was playing in the background. It was a little quiet
The workers were super sweet and really helpful, and the food was sooo good. My favorite thing by far was the Chicken Tikka Masala — it was fire. Definitely a spot I’d go back to.
Wonderful service and tasty food. The person at the front was attentive and made us feel welcome the whole time we were waiting for our pickup order. Will order again!
If you are looking for authentic Indian and Nepali food this is the right place to go. I tried chicken tikka masala it was flavorful with onions and garlic . And they gave us good quantity😊
Amazing food at a reasonable price! Lots of vegetarian options to choose from and nice staff. Will definitely be returning soon!
Best jhol Momos in New York so far for me and top notch hospitality!! The server was very pleasant and even gave us complimentary stuff which is always awesome
Food was tasty and great portions. Great attitude from the staff, very attentive and friendly. Excellent overall experience.
Honestly a delight. The server was so kind, the place looks beautiful, and the food was delicious! The best mango lassi I've ever had! 10,000% will be back!
Love this neighborhood spot! The naan is divine. Quick and affordable. I did takeout, but there are always tables available.
Everything I have ever ordered from here has been superb. Wonderful service; food is always worth the wait!
Food was delicious, very flavorful and good portions. Paneer tikka masala was 10/10 paired with garlic naan. Will be coming back
I came here with my friends and honestly, we weren’t expecting such amazing customer service. The food is delicious 10 out of 10 they gave us appetizer and desserts on the house and it was so good and my friend doesn’t even like Indian food!!!
Was so impressed with the food here - this place deserves a lot more traffic! Everything we tried was amazing!
The food was delicious and reasonably priced! Staff is friendly! Good vegetarian & vegan options 😊
The food is very delicious and the service is also good .. i love eating here with my family ...thanks for a delicious food love it
I ordered the Paneer Tikka Masala and they were more than willing to adjust my food for a nut allergy. It was delicious, still creamy and not too spicy. The garlic naan was also so good, crispy and the perfect amount of garlic.
Absolutely loved the food at Simon Restaurant! The momo were outstanding — perfectly steamed, juicy, and packed with flavor, just like authentic Nepali momos back home. The Jhol on the side had the right balance of spice and tang, which really elevated the dish.
Great food! The workers are super kind and it’s an amazing spot for Nepali and Indian food in the heart of Ridgewood. Deserves way more foot traffic, I love bringing my parents to this spot and they love it right back. Definitely worth checking out or ordering from if you’re in the area
I feel like it is a blessing to have inmigrants to come to the United States. They are not a lot of Indian restaurants here in Ridgewood. The ones that have been here for a long time are not so popular. But this restaurant I feel like I was in India. The service, the family vibes, the intimacy I felt inside the restaurant eating, and everything else was amazing. I had this drink called the mango lassi. I also had chicken biryani. The Garlic naan bread. Also the chicken Samosa. I know I eat a lot. I will definitely come back again and bring my family and friends. I appreciate this restaurant so much .five stars.

Food is really good and servers are super kind! Price is also very affordable and great portions. One note I would say is that the dine-in experience felt a bit empty, quiet and too bright, but the restaurant has already a really cute decor and set up. I suggest they just turn off the ceiling fluorescent lights, leaving on just the warm table lamps and add a bit of background music to make the atmosphere warmer and more appealing. This restaurant deserves to be full :)
One of those unexpected finds in NYC! Unassuming place with friggin phenomenal food! The Indian dishes were all excellent, top 10 for sure. But the Steamed chicken MOMO dumplings were out of this world! First time we ever had them anywhere. The textures as well as the flavors of their food were fantastic. It felt like you were a guest at someone's home cooked meal who loves to cook. Also kudos for restroom with excellent privacy and security and far more elbow room than typical in a storefront operation. The joint was pretty empty but there was a lot of delivery trade going on. This place should be packed! And the prices were a bargain for the quality and quantity of food. We couldn't finish any dish, so get to look forward to having the leftovers during the February snowmaggedon. We had 3 entrees (with meat in all of them) and a generous order of Naan for about $60 with tax - and this will be at least 4 meals. This is the first time I've ever been impressed to the degree I left a review. Go hungry!
Absolutely fantastic Nepalese food! We tried the jhol momo, steam momo, and paneer tikka masala, and every single dish was top class. The jhol momo truly stood out—hands down one of the best I’ve ever had, bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced spice. The momos were fresh and tender, and the paneer tikka masala was rich and delicious. On top of the amazing food, the hospitality was excellent—warm, welcoming, and attentive. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic Nepalese cuisine. Will definitely be back!
I went Simon’s Kitchen on Friday with my friends and it is outstanding. The food is consistently delicious and fresh, but the service is what truly makes this place special. The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive from the moment you walk in. She checks in at the right times, handle requests quickly, and always make sure you’re comfortable. Even when it gets busy, she stays organized and patient, and orders still come out fast. The whole experience feels smooth, warm, and genuinely cared for. Excellent food, spotless space, and top-tier service—an easy 5/5.
Phenomenal food. Went there with one other person and ordered the chicken momo dumplings, chicken korma, chicken biryani, and samosas. The momo had a wonderful flavor and the meat inside also had a really nice texture. The Korma, birayni and samoas were also the best ive had compared to all the other indian places in bushwick and ridgewood. Im actually mad at myself for never eating here before. It is now my go to place.
We love Simon! It’s such a great neighborhood go-to and quickly becoming a staple. The service is wonderful and fast. The best part is obviously the food. Every dish we’ve tried is so good and flavorful. Definitely recommend especially for vegetarians in the neighborhood.
I’ve walked past Simon’s Indian Nepal Restaurant in Ridgewood for years. It’s one of those low key spots that looks like it has been part of the neighborhood forever. I’m not sure how long it has actually been there or whether it ever changed ownership, but one thing is certain, I finally decided to go in and I’m glad I did. The first time I tried it, I was honestly surprised by how good the food was. So surprised that I had to go back again just to make sure it was not a fluke. It was not. They absolutely came through a second time. If you do not want your food spicy, just let them know and they will accommodate you. If you do, get ready for a nice little spice sensation. What really shocks me is how empty it often looks. The restaurant is not dirty, but it definitely gives you that straight from Nepal or India vibe. Simple, no frills, authentic. Maybe people judge it by appearances, but that would be a mistake. The staff is incredibly friendly. Usually there is one waitress and what seems like one or two cooks in the back. It feels small, personal, and genuine. I am almost certain everything is made fresh and you can taste it. The spices are blended in a way that makes every dish rich, balanced, and unforgettable. Another thing worth mentioning is the portion sizes. They are huge. It is very easy to over order, especially since the prices are very reasonable. Most dishes can easily be shared, so be careful when ordering because you might end up with more than you expect. At the same time, that is part of the advantage. If you take it to go, you will have delicious leftovers the next day. I have eaten at Indian restaurants in Manhattan and even in London, and I am telling you this little hole in the wall can compete with the big names. No exaggeration. It is right next to Rudy’s Bakery, and if you know the area, you have probably passed it without thinking twice. Do not make that mistake again. This is an underdog that deserves to be top dog. If you want authentic flavor, warm service, generous portions, and food that truly delivers, give it a shot. You will probably be as surprised as I was.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best Food & Sweetest Service You’ll Ever Find From the moment I stepped in, I knew this place was something special. The aroma of spices and fresh herbs was intoxicating, and every dish that came to our table simply blew my mind. The momos were perfect juicy, savory, with just the right amount of chutney on the side. The butter chicken was rich and flavorful, and the dal makhani was creamy in the most comforting way. Even the naan came crisp, warm, and fluffy exactly how it should be. The chicken tikka came out sizzling juicy tender fulll of flavor. The chicken tikka masala was to die for, and the shrimp byrani OMGGGG. I was literally speechless. The flavors just burst in your mouth. Oh and the 🥭 lassi YUMMMMMMM!. Samosas also to die for. We couldn't stop eating. Lol But what really made this evening unforgettable was the service. Our waitress, shr was an absolute gem. The sweetest soul ypu will ever meet. She greeted us with a warm smile and a genuine hello, asked thoughtfully about spice preferences, and made great recommendations. She never rushed us, always checked in at just the right times, and treated us like family. When I thanked her and told her how amazing everything was, she blushed and replied, “I’m just happy you enjoyed.” That’s an understatement. My best friend and I work overnights and he was falling asleep. She got us a pillow so he can nap while the food was being made. We felt so at home. It is peaceful serene quiet and we loved it. If you want outstanding Nepali + Indian food and service that warms your heart, this is the place. I’ll be back, again and again.
i came here with friends a few weeks ago & WOW! we just ran into this place while looking for somewhere to eat. the food here was amazing & some of the best indian/nepali i’ve had. i got tikka masala, we also ordered other dishes i unfortunately can’t remember the name of and the host also brought us out some delicious extras! the dessert we had with raisins in it was divine. my first time trying mango lassi, so good! i will have to make my way back to ridgewood now to go back here! would definitely recommend :)
Food here was amazing- it took a bit for the food to come out, but everything we had was flavorful, tender, and clearly made with care - some of the best Indian food I've had in a while. The restaurant itself is really cute, and has a mom and pop vibe. Will definitely be coming back here again!
Incredible Indian/nepali experience. Ordered saag and chicken korma. Jhol as appetizer was fantastic. Samicha was very hospitable and friendly waitress. Will Def come back!
Wonderful place. From the moment you walk in, the hostess was extremely hospitable and kind. The food was amazing and fresh. While I did take my food to go, it was still nice and hot by the time I returned home. I will certainly come back again for a dine-in meal experience.
This local gem serves aromatic and deliciously spiced food. The mulgutany soup warmed my palette on this cold night. The bhindi masala was perfectly cooked with nuanced melding of flavors. Chicken saag was very nicely done, too.

Nice place good food. A bit of a wait for food on a busy Sunday evening. Yummy food. Kind service.
Food was great and staff was absolutely friendly and attentive. We really liked the food here, our only minor nitpick was we found the momo’s slightly dry. But, they still had good flavor. Would definitely recommend trying this place out.
Overall the food is decent. The Fried chicken momo was the best one out of all, highly recommend. Very upset that they do not serve thalis (platter) dishes — I think they should to compete and stick out against other Nepali restaurants in the neighborhood.

I was not a huge fan of the place that was here before (odaan) and most of the things about the restaurant are the same so I'm wondering if the management has changed or if it was just a rebrand of the same restaurant. Either way the food is still not great. My samosa was very oily and did not have a pleasant flavor and the chana that came were not tender. The naan was still solid but that was the best thing about the meal. Overall I won't come back, still prefer curry leaf over this spot.
The delivery was late because even though I ordered through the site listed by them, they said they didn't get the order. When I have eaten in person, the food was better. For take out, my dal was very very watery and there were barely any shrimp in the biryani. Also, their preferred site charged a 6.98 delivery fee plus the same for taxes. I just didn't like my meal this time but I'm glad it has been good for others.

Food mediocre — ordered mild, came quite spicy, yet not very flavorful. Service extremely slow. Way better under old management.
Extremely disappointed with the food, got butter chicken, it did not taste like butter chicken. It had too much masala, never buying from here again.
Date: Thursday, June 26, 2025, around 5 pm, I entered the restaurant. I ordered a chauwin with the someone at the counter. Less Spices and Less oil. There was an old man standing next to her.He was also listening. I took it home and started eating it. But adding oil and spices. I was hungry and ate But my stomach was upset. I had to go to the bathroom 2/4 times. Chowin is my favorite food. But no one should eat this chauwin. Thank you
