Stumbled upon this place. Food was delicious. We had a party of 11 and everyone was satisfied. Highly recommend. Food was excellent as was the service. Juan Pablo was attentive, friendly, made great recommendations, and was patient with our limited Spanish. He was an exceptional server and made our experience very memorable!

Best Ceviche I have tasted in Ridgewood , Queens -- the vibes were great , esp if you want some music , lounge/club atmosphere for a night out. Weeknd date nights too! I was exhausted otherwise I would of stayed way longer! I'll be back #aroundridgewood #LifeWithJess

My friend had her birthday there. We couldn't stay too long. It was so hot in there. The drinks tasted like juice. They played way too much salsa music. The bathroom is not clean. Not enough toilet paper and needs air freshener.

It's ok but you can find better. It's decor is not the best. It looks like a run down bar. It's dark and dosen' t look clean. Lots of clutter. Many men drinking and ogling at the waitresses. Which all they can do was look pretty and not provide great customer service. The food is good but it's not great. I had pork chops and they were a little bland. My husband had the encebollado, he was pleased with it. My sons enjoyed the view more than the food. One had steak and the other chicken cutlet both came with rice and beans. Prices are a little expensive. It's not the first place I would choose.

False promotion with the band Mayo 24 for Day 2/13/2026. Let us be more serious.

me and my family came to eat here , the service was good , the food on the other hand no so great. i ordered a fried egg with fried yuca and when i bit into the yuca it gave me a mouthful of oil, very unpleasant and when i asked to get it done again they looked at me like i was a crazy person. my step dad ordered the fried fish and plátanos , the plátanos as well came out with a lot of oil . my mother enjoyed her food but overall there’s better places .

Been here just one time and was rushed out from eating and drinking because a live band was about to perform and the employees were asking for $20 from each person from my table in order to stay. My tab was already well over $100 but we were told if we didn't pay $20 per person me must leave

Waitress forgot about us.... and my raspberry juice was 90% water. The event on the second floor was crazy too. Payed $30 for the tickets and then was forced to spend $80 minimum on drinks just to get a table... people where so drunk by the time I left, and it wasn't even over there was two more artist left. Tried to use the bathroom but that was disgusting as well (mad I didn't take a picture).

Food is good. They charge you if you want to take food home like wth? Who does that. Service was okay... music was very loud in our ears and it was like 5 o’clock on a Sunday. Will most likely order to go next time.

The food is excellent but the service is absolutely awful. Sat for 10 minutes before a waitress came to our table asking if we had ordered yet and they were standing right in front of us eating. Then she dropped off the food and didn't come back until 5 minutes after I had piled the plates on the end of the table. We asked for the check and apparently one lady told the other and in the end we had to get up to get the check from someone at the bar because no one brought to us. Sad thing is that it hasn't been the only time. If their food wasn't so good I would never ever go back there.

The service was good. But the food...I got a churrasco that was salty AF, mom had in encebollado which had tuna that was clearly from a can, dad had sopa de bolon de verde wasn't really great. Up to you guys. Waited an hour for the food. Wait time was fairly long in my opinion.

Well! we bought tickets for an event on 2/7/26 unfortunately from the time we arrived to the place, we feel cold any where.. yes on Saturday January 7 2026 the weather was cold onside the restaurant, it was one of the cold days, but inside the place, with the 15 people (my group) inside the restaurant, the cold was so terrible, all were using our jackets and hats to avoid being freezing. When we asked to the person in charge of the place (owner) he said it is what it is. We saw the workers with jackets, yes with jackets inside serving us. In 25 years in United States, being in many places around the country I NEVER NEVER ENTER A PLACE with no heat it all and the owner who just said it is what it is , i had this business for more than 20 years and it is good. If we call the building department of brooklyn to let them about this issue they will close that place. It was at least 40 degrees inside. So if you think about going to this place, you will not have heat if is in the winter time and at the summer, I am not sure how the air condition will be.. I was so un happy with the answer of the owner and knowing about HVAC he just didn't care about customers, we were scammed with the event organizer plus we got this place what I think was a garage before looking from out side the metal garage doors. Unfortunately we are here already coming from westchester county and we really regret how this place exist because i was very cold from 6pm to 8pm. The event was scheduled to started at 12:30pm We tried to be happy and enjoy the hundred of dollars we paid to be here ....after 2 hours of suffering from the cold I call my Uber and left the place (can't give other name) and i was so happy y was warm again for all my trip back to home. The $$ I paid for the Uber were the best money I invested in many years for my self to be warm, relax happy going back home. The owner of that place really don't know how he survive to the building department and customers.

I went to El Manaba this evening and everything about the experience was disappointing. They didn’t have several items we wanted to order, including no sangria at all. The rice tasted like it was reheated from the day before, dry and flavorless. The ceviche was disgusting and completely inedible. On top of that, the person attending us didn’t know anything about the menu and wasn’t helpful at all. Overall, horrible food and horrible service. Definitely not coming back.

First at all this place should never be called (EL MANABA) in Manabí we don’t have places like this. Paid 57 dollars for a cubetazo 6 beers. Place needs an update asap. Bathroom is disgusting. Servers didn’t know what she was doing. One star is too much. And if you use your credit card they charge you 5 dollars extra. Saw the food being served and it doesn’t look edible. This place needs to be updated with new owner or closed . And bottle service goes for $250. NOT RECOMENDED DONT GO .

Absolutely the worst Ecuadorian food I've ever had here in NYC. I ordered the chaulafan. It was dry and full of salt. All the meat and shrimp tasted like it was at least a week old. I guess they used the salt to hide the old dried out meat. And then there's the confusion with the check. So the chaulafan was 25 dollars!!! A word of advice, don't ever come here for the food. Just dance and maybe a few beers. So we have 2 different waiters one for the food and one for the drinks. Not sure what kind of scam they are doing at this place but they seem like they add drinks on to your drink bill and hope you're too drunk to realize. Just be very attentive to what this place is doing with the drink waiters. Extremely hard pass on this establishment.

I went to eat with my family, my son ordered a Seco de Chivo, and after his third bite, he found a long black hair. I told the waitress, and she took the plate away. When I asked for the bill, they charged me the Seco de Chivo "no problem" that is not the point, and no one even apologized. No manager represents that place. The waitress was not to blame for anything. I am not coming back to "El Manaba" People, please cuidado con los cabellos.....

I bought a caldo de bola to take out. At home I'm looking at it broth and mix vegetables. They forgot to put the plantain ball. I gave them one star because it not the first time they messed up the order.

I find it extremely hard to believe that no one in this establishment speaks English. I called twice because somebody there charged my card for 2 transactions of almost $450 each!!! We will see who speaks English when an attorney shows up at your door. Fraud!!! Fraud fraud!! How can I order food at a restaurant that I am 19 hours away from??? And for almost $900??? Fraud!!!!

The cold and uninviting atmosphere was matched by the cold food and uninviting attitude of our waitress. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Everyone’s food arrived cold. Rice was clearly left over from a previous day. They tried to get around not having one of the dishes we ordered by adding some of the ingredients to a very different dish and claiming it was what we ordered. Waitress kept rubbing her nose while taking our order. Disgusting. There were people so drunk they were practically falling off their stools at the bar at 1 in the afternoon but still being served more drinks. Irresponsible. Food is too expensive to be such a low quality experience.

Worst new years event of my life. Buffet took an hour to restock for about 200 people and only about 25 people got their food every hour, insane wait time would never wish to comeback for an event ever again and anybody reading this should not come to any event this place offers.

Terrible place! Not family oriented at all! The waitress was rude and careless. She forgot about our order and when we asked for it she disappeared. She spent most of her time flirting with the guys that were drinking than actually serving. The food was terrible as well, the rice was burnt, th ceviche we ordered was all vinegar instead of lime. First time reviewing a restaurant and this place definitely deserves 0 stars. We spent $200 (I would’ve left no tip if I could have) in food that was not even worth $10.
