It was my first time trying Popeyes and my experience was very good. Their chicken was nice and juicy and their fries are the best I just couldn’t stop having them. I also loved their famous chicken sandwich and loved the overall experience. The price is reasonable and I would definitely choose Popeyes over other fast food option. I will be back to try more things on the menu.

Get the chicken sandwich. The window is a little far from the car try to drive as close as possible. The drive-thru is a very strange angle. The inside is generally like any standard Popeyes but this area has more of a eclectic crowd.

The chicken was a little on the dry side but the staffs are really helpful. I could not get my app to open and they just patiently try to help.

Popeyes makes the best fried chicken and the best chicken sandwich, hands down. Sometimes they run out of things but overall a good place to grab food.

Great food but had to wait 25 mins in drive thru lane for chicken behind someone. Apparently they had to make a new batch. Should have told us to order and move us all out of drive thru.

What a difference between locations. I've visited the Patchogue location a couple of times, and always been quite disappointed. Ill-prepared food, sold out menu items, unkempt dining room conditions, ugh. The Riverhead location however was a pleasure. A spotless dining room, much better prepared food, and the staff could not have been more friendly and professional. I'll definitely be making this a future stop when I'm traveling to the East End.

Can't go wrong with Popeyes. This location is cleaner than most other Popeyes I've been to. The blackened chicken was tasty and healthy looking. Got the 30 piece nuggets but they weren't as crispy as the last time I got them. Overall worth going to if you are looking for fried chicken in the area.

I got the chicken sandwich wasn't very impressed although price was pretty good my nephew got the box of chicken and he said it was really good

They are always out of something on the drinks. Today was fruit punch. Last time it was any diet cola.

They Cheap out on their large sides. Come Slaw was only 3/4 full. With a 10 PC meal, that's not adequate for 2 people. Very disappointed

It’s hit or miss, the other day we went through the drive thru and we wanted 3 separate boxes of tenders for 3 different people but they kept insisting that we do these meal combos with less food and basically we all got confused. Then we wanted 2 sides for 2 of the people and they again insisted we do something else that we didn’t want to do and they didn’t like that we denied these combos and other deals. We had to ask them to repeat the order because they kept making the tender boxes into combos with fries (no?) and they got fed up and told us to come directly to the window. If there was a screen outside it’d be way easier for us to figure it out, and not even have to ask them. They did get the order correct. I get they’re new so it’ll probably take some time before things smooth out. It’s not terrible, I liked the chicken and we’ve also ordered a large family takeout order that was delicious.

Usually I like going to Popeyes but the chicken was a little rough meaning sitting there too long and I didn't like while I was trying to eat my meal someone sweeping around me. Not saying all places are bad but this one wasn't too happy

Food was fresh service was excellent my one and only complaint is they didn't give me the proper amount of tenders 6 piece only gave me 4 so I payed for six and got less I think the workers need to be watched It was my second time here and both they made mistakes. Went to this place multiple times and experienced the same issues. Tables were always dirty, staff wasn't sure about basic questions on what they do or don't have, ordering ahead always resulted in seeking a refund because they were out of something, and bathroom was a icky mess. I'd recommend the drive thru but if you dine-in or order ahead just expect basic problems every time.

The rice and beans- Rice was hard. Chicken tenders - hard and dry. Mashed potato- Good. Popeyes you could do better!

Lady at the window was amazing so sweet. When we ordered 8 pcs family meal, we requested no breast , she asked me If 3 wing etc is ok , I said as long as there’s no breast ,everything else is fine . we got back to the hotel , 4 pcs breast in the 8 pcs family meal. Called back, another lady on the phone offer me to come back next time , I don’t live around here. I can’t go back. So Always make sure u check your meal before u leave the parking lot .

Beware of not having toilet paper in the women's restroom, which was embarrassing and very uncomfortable. It was ok to come in to purchase food, but the bathroom experience freaked me out.

This is my first time here after years of seeing commercials and saying I want to try that. Well I finally did And I'm quite disappointed It was 18 for a three-piece chicken tender meal Two sides in a biscuit And a drink The chicken Wasn't as Fragrance As Kfc which I'm okay with I like that But the chicken was just meh, The biscuit was kind of rubbery Doesn't hold the candle to KFC The mashed potatoes were smooth like they were from a mix Not very good And The french fries were a shame they had good seasoning but they were a sad veraion of checkers fries. i ended my meal feeling guilty about how much i spent and regret for not going to kfc. There's no excuse for the quality of the biscuit the KFC biscuit is amazing this places biscuit sucked. all in all i wont be returning kfc is better and thats a stret h compared to real fried chicken joints.

Food's good, service is slow. If you order sauce, don't forget to ask if they put it in the bag - they probably didn't. The ghost pepper wings are great, but not nearly as spicy as I expected. The dining room is generally messy and packed.

Customer Service is terrible, I wasn't greeted, the cooks don't wear hair nets and hair was in my food. The food was just thrown in the bag. I ordered a chicken sandwich instead I recieved 2 chicken tenders on a bun. The staff was touching their phones between handling food.

Not happy I had to repeat my order 2 x and failed to check before leaving Riverhead to go back home to East hampton to find out it was not spicy also they gave me chicken legs after I repeated my self 3x 2 thighs 1 breast spicy. I was furious. I think it was a language barrier. I won't be going back.

Ordered hot and spicy chicken, with the Signature box, and unfortunately they ran out of spicy and had to except mild. They are always changing my original orders, like this time. I wish that when that happens, they would give a discount or throw something in.

Very disappointed, love their chicken, but showed up for lunch today and was told that the only side they had was French fries. I immediately cancelled my order and went to the competition just down the road. I can understand running out of one or two sides....but almost everything. So sad.

I'm only giving this a two because the chicken was not bad. Now to the story. The service was bad and the managers we're to busy talking to customers they appeared to know.They had no chicken tenders ready mild or spice.I waited a half hour for them and they gave me regular chicken pieces .They forgot my coleslaw..The other customers waiting we're starting to rebel due to length of time and wrong orders. Also the cashier's we're pretty indifferent to what was going on .This place needs a big overhaul.

Be sure to check your take-out bags for all of your items. They consistently leave out at least two or three items per order when I go there. I love Popeyes, so I’m trying to give them a chance, as this is my hometown, but the help here is atrocious. Management could care less. These guys need to take a strong look at who they employ at this location specifically. It’s an embarrassment to the company.

Very salty, not to mention expensive. Biscuits were salty, chicken was salty, Mac and cheese was salty, green beans were good, mashed potatoes were a weird texture, fries were good. $30 for a 12 piece family combo. My order was not ready at the window, I was told 5 minutes, and it took 10 minutes. The staff is very friendly. I know this is fast food and wasn’t expecting miracles, but there’s no reason for the biscuits to taste like you are licking the salt shaker. My kids refused to eat it. If you are a local and want good fried chicken stick with Spicy’s...

I really did not enjoy the chicken here and don't know why it's hyped up so much. The chicken fingers were flavorless. Their cole slaw is absolutely awful. Not the worst meal I've ever had but I can't say i enjoyed a single bite. And for the price... yikes. KFC wins this round hands down, and their food hasn't been better than just "good" in 20 years. I might go back but only for a cup of the sweet tea because I love sweet tea and I hear it's good, but I was misled to think their chicken would be good so who knows...

Popeyes is lovely and has some great fast food if that's where your taste buds are taking you. However this location is a bit bothersome, drive thru was difficult to work with, food didnt seem that fresh, and items were missing and/or were replaced with different items. I get the feeling they didn't want to waste their time making fries and tossed a different side in and sent us off.

I was excited to see the ripnchicken was back but this was awful! They told us to park because the food would take 4 mins. 15 mins later we received our food but no drinks and the wrong sides and the food was COLD! Long wait, ran out of certain side orders and chicken. Oh yeah and a worker literally climbed out of the drive through window to deliver a meal to someone waiting in their car. When she was done she went to the side and smoked a cigarette. Wow

They don't have any promos you see on TV then when you order an expensive family meal that you really didn't want they forget items. Hopefully it will change.

Terrible customer service, took me 15 minutes to finally receive some help and while i was being help, the “manager” was laughing and talking to the girl helping me. So on-top of the 15 minutes, it took nearly an extra 10 minutes to place my order with them talking and laughing with each other. And when my son received his tender meal, i paid for 6 he only got 5, and my wife’s chicken sanwich was cold as if they gave us someone elses. We come as a group after our meetings and this was just disappointing. The other group members will be sending their reviews as well because this was just terrible. Overall would not recommend and if you’re truly craving popeyes chicken, at this point i would travel to Shirley or even Centereach rather than coming back here again.

Nastiest people I’ve ever met. I went through the drive-thru and I was trying to order when the girl was cutting me off, talking over me, “is that all, is that all, is that all” not even a second after I told her what I wanted. Then when I asked what she said she gave me an attitude and yelled at me! And then huffed and puffed like I was inconveniencing her in some way. I drove off the line as fast as I could. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I never post bad reviews but I’ve never been treated like this at a fast food establishment in my life.

This place is horrible!!!!! If I could give it zero stars I would. I have been to this location on 3 times and each time was worst than the last. The first time I went through the drive thur and waited 20 minutes for my food and my order was wrong. The second time the manager with the black hair was extremely rude because I asked for hot sauce and was supposed holding up the line for checking my order. Which I wouldn't of had to do but the first experience was horrible. The last time I went through the drive thur again and it was the same manager. She told me the amount and I gave her my card. After running my card a few times she tells me the drive thur POS isn't working. She asked me to come in and try it on the front counter POS. I thought she was joking. Why would I come in if you are 5 steps from the front counter. I asked her if she could run it and she gave me an attitude. She ran my card a total of 5 times. Because of this my card locked. This Poppey's needs better management and training. I wouldn't recommend a dog eating at that place.

Nearly every Popeyes I have been to gets orders wrong and are rude, but at least they serve me. This one didn't take my order for 4 minutes, so I asked the guy coming out the back door if they're open. He said yes. After a few minutes longer, I just pulled around - there was nobody else there anyway. Nobody was at the window and nobody could be seen. Decided to just go to taco bell lol apparently nobody works here.

Wish I could give negative stars with this review. Not friendly service from the employees and they treat you like a problem to them especially if you are not Spanish speaking. Don't tell you that the items you ordered are not available at the moment and send you on the way with half of the order in the bag . Call the store to complain and get the phone put down and get ignored from the employees.

The girl working the drive-thru can use some training in customer service. Asked for sauces and were dismissed with an attitude and told to come to the window to ask for them (okay, no problem)...got to the window and gave my credit card had to ASK for it back...as im driving off i realized part of my order wasnt even in the bag. Good good, but drive through is the worst. Took the money, and had me pull to the side to wait for the order. It took 23 minutes to get my order. Too many other places to get good food.

Riverhead ny Popeyes were out of biscuits, gravy, coleslaw and premium frozen lemonade. The chicken had a heavy grease odor and was the least appetizing of all the Popeyes. Two others and myself who ate this chicken all became ill with G.I. upset. This was reported. One star for this store because its mandatory you leave at least one star. Steer clear folks.

Idk how this place is still in business. This is the only Popeyes I’ve ever ordered from that gets my order wrong on multiple occasions, gives me wrong items, or just doesn’t give me what I’ve paid for. It’s astounding.

How does this place rate 3.8? I love Popeyes chicken. Service at this store is terrible. Cashier doesn’t know the difference btw white or dark meat. Check your slip and order before you leave, or else eat it and weep.

Terribly ran establishment!!! There’s no screen at the drive through, therefore you don’t know they screwed your order up till you get to the window. Took forever and after the manager took my order she insisted I didn’t order a medium drink even though she repeated it back correctly when I first ordered. Then to top it off my total was $21.76 I handed the young inexperienced cashier $25 and didn’t realize I was only given back .24 cents instead of the correct change because I was already upset because I had no drink. Chicken was dry, mac n cheese was bland and the biscuits were rock hard. Highly recommend not going to Popeyes in riverhead.

they said they can't serve us 10 mins before changing to drive thru. yet we're standing g around. no one in the store. so we went to drive thru and we heard them say it would be 20 mins. before they can get a order out. we left. so sad,they really need management there to over see what the problem was. never again. we stopped as a last resort, as we had a late flight and had the new chicken sandwich. which was decent. it doesn't take 20 mins for anything they serve there. so very unhappy

Got our order wrong 3 times in one drive thru experience! Then had an attitude with me when I pointed out what was wrong! Thats what happens when children are left to run a restaurant! I won't be back any time soon! And we were the only car there so it wasn't like they were busy!

I was there couple minutes ago. It was the worst experience. Cashier was lost all the time playing with the other worker. We had to wait almost an hour only for two orders. All fried chicken were on top a piece or box. Wow. Who is the manager???

The food has gone downhill since they opened. It's tasteless, tiny portions, and the spicy chicken was barely spicy. Whoever is running this location, is not doing a good job. Update: I called 3 times and 3 times they hung up on me. Nice!

🚨 STAY FAR, FAR AWAY 🚨 Unless your idea of a good time is a 30-minute sit-in at a the Popeyes drive-thru where customer service goes to die. We pulled up around 11:30 with the audacity of wanting chicken. Big mistake. The woman at the window greeted us with the enthusiasm of someone being forced to work off a community service sentence. (MIND YOU SHE APPLIED FOR THIS JOB) She gives us our food after a little wait and then we politely asked for sauces that we were literally willing to pay for and in return, we got a dramatic door slam like we just insulted her entire lineage. Naturally, I refused to leave. This stand-off was personal now. She kept walking past the window, pretending we were just apart of the bushes and trees until FINALLY after a solid 2-3 minutes, she finally cracked the window open and hit me with a dramatic “oH mY gAwD,” as if I’d just asked her to teach me fluent mandarin without a lick of experience. Eventually, she handed over three sad little sauces, charging us exactly $0.81, which I assume goes directly to her emotional compensation fund. Anyway, 10/10 would recommend if you’re into gaslighting, ghosting, and gourmet hostility. 
Otherwise, just yell at yourself in the mirror for 30 minutes and save the gas.

Pulled up around 11:30pm with my boyfriend - late, yes, but not end of the world late. The cashier greeted us with the warmth of a broken freezer. We politely asked for a few sauces (happy to pay!) and were met with Olympic level ignoring . After pacing back and forth like we were haunting the drive-thru, she finally shouted “OH MY GOD” like we’d asked her to handcraft the sauces herself. She ran to tell the manager we had committed the ultimate sin: asking for sauces we were willing to pay for. Food was meh, service was worse. 1 star for the entertainment.

Mind blowing bad service. Came in just after 11am, very quiet, ordered, was told they were waiting on fries as she packed the chicken. Group came in, orders and walked out with a few bags of food. Fries were ready, but then told she was now waiting on chicken. Offered extra chicken to apologize for the wait... Nearly half an hour from ordering the food was super fresh, but yeah I will never be back at this location. The place was dead too, it was us, the three other customers who came and went and a family that had been eating for a while.

I'm not sure who runs this franchise, but it definitely leaves a lot to be desired in terms of customer service. Every time there is bad service, you have to wait too long and the guys have a bad attitude, even the managers don't know how to expedite orders. Speed is definitely not their strong point and customer service even less so.

Customer service on this place is terrible. I went today 10/20/2023, my order took forever, and they gave me the wrong item two times. I complained with the manager and she told me the guys were too busy chilling, how is posible a "manager" gives that anwser . One of the workers told me that Popeyes is not a soccer match. I told them they were working in the wrong place since is fast food. Everyone start laughing, no one apologize and the manager just turned her back on me and left. Is clear: there is no customer service there. They don't know how to handle a complaint. If you know about how to handle food there is cross contamination. They don't have the attitude at all.
