Food is great, casual atmosphere. Portions are generous, my suggestion is to share a plate (think the cost is under $6) I travel to Eastern Long Island to see my family often and we always return to Roccos!

It's been over a year since living in Riverhead, and I STILL crave this restaurant's food. Their baked Ziti is AMAZING. I've never had anyone able to make it quite like they do. Their pizza is on pointe, too.. perhaps the best I've ever had and I'm a pizza snob. I've never, not once, gotten indigestion from their tomato sauce, and I have a sensitivity to that sort of thing. Whatever they do is magic there in the kitchen. The only thing I would not recommend is the cheese ravioli. A+++ restaurant. Don't hesitate to go there.

I went here and they closed, the guy unlocked the door let me still buy some pizza this was really good pizza and tasted as fresh as if it was recently made for 9 something at night, very nice staff as well,I will return next time I'm at Tanger outlets

Ordered pizza online and i put the wrong address and didn’t realize till an hour later, i call the restaurant & they were able to get the food to me in just 10 mins. The pizza and garlic bread was delicious and they even gave us some plastic cups and plates, i recommend !

Food was great and they do lots of delivery. Plates are huge and you will take food home. 5 different dishes and everyone loved the food. The bread they serve is fresh baked and I loved the oil/herb/balsamic. Nice touch with the R drizzled in.

A hidden gem. I've been to many upscale restaurants. Hands down Rocco 's is 1000% the best. Food and portions are perfect. Staff is awesomely friendly. Prices are very good also. Been here many times and will continue to go. When I take my little grandkids , pizza ect is also an option. Everything is top notch. Make sure you visit. You will be presently surprised. By far the best pizza place on Long Island, I’ve eat at a lot and the pizza here is amazing. In the dining room the food matches the pizza, just amazing. The service from Steve and Brendan can’t be matched anywhere. They are very attentive and if by chance they are a little busier than they expect, they certainly make up for it with consistent updates and attentiveness. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

My husband and I both ate the salmon stuffed with crabmeat special. Truly, I tell you, one of the best meals we’ve ever had….for a seafood meal like a 5-star restaurant! The salmon was a very generous portion, fresh and thick cut. The crabmeat was ‘stuffed’ down the middle, full and not skimpy. The sauce was refreshing with cubes of tomatoes and a bit of fresh basil. It was nothing like anything we’d ever had; just outstanding. We didn’t know how he executed it but it accentuated the salmon and crab above expectations! The vegetables and salad were like farm to table and the bread was steamy with soft butter. A must stop meal going through Riverhead.

Came in for a slice, didn't sit in the restaurant, just up front. As pizza goes, this was one of the most satisfying slices I've had in months or more. Staff was very friendly and the front was clean. Great selection at an odd hour of the afternoon between lunch and dinner. Been here before, will think of it more often in the future.

My eggplant parm hero was DELICIOUS! I’m very picky with eggplant parm and they do a great job!! Their rigatoni w/ vodka sauce was also incredibly delicious. It did have meat in it which is fine with me. It just doesn’t state that on the menu

This place is amazing! We order from them at least once a week me and my husband can't get enough of the pizza! They have awesome hero's,pasta, riceballs...I don't think there's much on their menu we haven't tried. We live in Calverton and we have like 3 pizza places much closer to us, when their pizza gets to us it's always cold. Rocco's is much further and half the time we need to let it cool down before we eat it. They staff is super friendly... though we almost always order on the app since it's so easy whenever we do call everyone is always so friendly!!

It’s a small, family-owned restaurant with food that is as real Italian as it gets. I made a point to try the pepperoni and sausage pinwheels (among other things). I had never had them anywhere and I wasn’t disappointed. The crust and fillings were first-rate. This is New York pizza at its best!

Food was delicious. The staff was friendly. Thou it took a long time to get the food. I don't know if it was because a lot of take out orders or if it was short staffed. But I would go back. There pizzas are great too.

Very impressed with the food. Calamari cooked to perfection and the "small" salad was huge. I had the Shrimp Oreganata and it was absolutely delicious. The side pasta was better than most restaurants. Now if they would just offer more wines. Very pleased.

Not many good pizza spots in Riverhead, but the quality and atmosphere of this place is really good for its price/value. My only wish is that they had more specialty slices on the counter. A little around $10 for 2 huge specialty slices and a bottle of Soda, if you need something fast and easy this is the spot.

I work just down the road from here and have been going there for lunch for years to get pizza. They have the absolute best pizza in Riverhead. My favorite is their grandma margherita slice, omg the fresh tomatoes and mozzarella, garlic and pesto drizzle is amazing! Not to mention I can never eat a sausage and peppers slice again from anywhere else and enjoy it as much, they literally make sausage and peppers, sautéed garlic, tomatoes and onions with the pan sauce and put it on a deep dish pizza! I rarely ever give reviews, I should have given this place one years ago. Thank you for all the amazing food! Also much love to my friends at the counter Jessli, Kenny, and Brian (hope I'm spelling your names right) who always make me feel at home. One of these days I HAVE to try a special, every time I see the specials board at lunch it kills me lol. If you try this place, you will like it. I'm pretty sure they couldn't make bad food even if they were trying.

Four stars for service and atmosphere because we only visited the pizza parlor side and ordered over the counter. The pizza was excellent. Regular pie is thin and crispy with good flavor. The Sicilian was light and airy and also had a good flavor.

Not only does the pizza look good but is one of the best I have eaten in awhile. I had a regular Sicilian slice which they put the sauce on top of the cheese in a decorative manor. The crust is very different from most places I have experienced because it was not at all chewy or brittle but firm and easy to bite into. This was my first visit here and I am sure it will not be my last. I only wish it was closer to my house. :-)

Grandma's pie 12 slice was a hit with my husband and I and our 2 out of town guests. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. Delivery was quick.

The food was good and the portions were huge. Our waitress Erin was very friendly and efficient .

Adding an update, since my last review I went back to Roccos and I must say I dont know if they have a new cook but the Pizza is just like Brooklyn, EXCELLENT TASTING, garlic sticks soft and delicious, Meatball Parm and Chicken Cutlet Parm is AMAZING, so Im adding a star. We try to plan our Riverhead trips around eating here. The pizza is excellent and they make a great variety of pies and slices. Their baked pasta dishes are fantastic too! Plus they have kid sized portions too! And the deserts are great! A trip just for the tiaramisu is well worth it! But the pizza, my boys are very picky and they both love it. If you are looking for great pizza or a night out to dine this is a great place to do so!

Food always been good , staff is good this time I was a bit disappointed. I ordered a chicken parm roll and for some reason this time on the bottom it had a sweet sauce not sure if it was teriyaki sauce that baked on the bottom of it and through the taste off.

Since We heard about Rocco’s two month’s ago we call it our home away from home. Food is terrific, pasta nights Monday and Tuesday is a must for Big Guy. Loves the rigatoni primavera. I love the calamari bean and broccoli appetizer. Eggplant pizza is fantastic,micro thin sliced eggplant baked into the topping of delicious pizza crust! All staff so friendly, guys in back great!

The food here was delectable and the staff is great. Everything my family and I ordered here was top notch. They are extremely busy and we ordered on slice. The only down side was when I arrived my garlic knots weren't in the box and when they gave them to me they were cold. I thinks it's very important to be aware even when super busy.

The pasta e fagioli was very good. The cold antipasto was disappointing. A lot of lettuce topped with a few slices of rolled ham. The linguine w/white clam sauce came with 2 salty clams and could have used more garlic. The cannoli was fresh and delicious. The service was very good.

Best local pizza! If you are on Riverhead this is by far your best option for Italian food! Not Roadhouse, there food sits for days and serves it at new and there food is very greasy, Sergios is very dirty... I don't even want to go in there without taking a bath before I leave. Rocco's is fresh and food is great!

Ordered using their “slice” app which told me my meal would be ready for pick up in 20 minutes and I would be notified when my food was ready. An hour later I called to find out the status. I was told by the person on the phone my food had “been up here awhile”. He apologized for the inconvenience. Good thing I LOVE their food!

My husband and I went in for dinner one evening on our travels to Riverhead, we try to support local when we can, waitress was pleasant we ordered the appetizer of the calamari which is very good and a very nice portion for the price. I had the shrimp scampi pasta which wasn’t very good and for $25 you would expect better flavor it was very bland and the shrimp didn’t taste great. Husband had the lasagna and it was OK. Salads did come with our entrées which were fresh and nice. They also give you some type of bread with the meal which was also good. Possibly would go back again maybe mainly for appetizers.

Service was mediocre. Pizza was ok but entree's were something I could of bought at a store down the Frozen isle and we're overpriced as well considering what you were getting. Bathrooms were not clean and place was cold inside. Maybe it was bad day they were having I don't know. But I wasn't impressed at all.

Guys I have one question for you did Rocco die recently because this pizza was dead on arrival .You realize that Riverhead is right in the middle of a boom that is going on in epic proportions someone from brooklyn is going to come here to Riverhead and smoke you guys, You have to bring up your game ,I have tasted all the pizza in riverhead subpar at best.I know you can do better the place looks great, staff is ok,But you need a real pizza man here . You need to reinvent your pizza .The cheese needs to sourced out to better vendor nothing is worse that cheap cheese pizza . you guys look like you own the property you have a great great opportunity to blow this place up.

nice wait staff. food was ok just over did it with sauce on pasta, chicken marsala and appetizer. all you tasted was the sauce. the thing i didn't like was they don't advertise anywhere in the dining area that if you use a CC to pay for your meal they charge an additional fee. I find that sneaky

Baked ravioli was delicious along with salad but we also got a margarita pizza with extra cheese. The pizza still had almost no cheese and was drenched in pesto sauce to the point where you could not taste anything else. My wife sent it back which they took it back with no problem but still charged us for at the end. I don't understand the logic behind that. The bill was 47 dollars with a 12 dollar tip for food i could of gotten elsewhere for half the price.

Maybe they were busy but they seem to have forgotten to put pepperoni on the slices I ordered. The minestrone was broth with a few vegetables, no pasta or beans in it. Maybe if they called it vegetable soup it would have been okay. The salad was just okay not good, not terrible. Will not go there again.

Not bad but not good. Sicilian was very soggy and blan. Flimsy dough. No crust at all. And flat. A square plain slice literally. Not much flavor. Ordering was like a circus. Pass on this next time.

Im bringing down the stars since last year. The pizza is different the last several times i went and don't think i will be returning. For example the chicken Marsala used to be larger, fluffier and had a nice amount of Marsala gravy on it. Now it's smaller and dry. All the expensive thick crusted pizza is thinner, smaller and not up to par for the prices that are charged. Don't know if they have new cooks, but it seems to be the new norm now. (O lo d review) So far I am impressed with the pizza and other things at the front counter. I haven't tried any regular meals yet, but I will. What we did try was delicious.

Got the pasta special to go , I ask for grated cheese and they charge $2.50 for ,also I got garlic knots ,little details makes difference.the pasta should get cheese.but everyone knows his business I’m not going anymore.

We ordered a few trays of food from Roccos last weekend for our wedding. Roccos never showed up to deliver the food. We ordered and paid approx 2 weeks in advance . When they were called at 730 pm, we were told they were out on delivery’s . ( food is was ordered for 630pm ). It’s a shame , this was food for our wedding. Never again will we frequent this establishment, no apology , nothing . I am a nurse at the hospital out there , with plenty of staff from that hospital at my wedding . None of us will be using this business .

Order weekly from here for the office...sent over the wrong drink- when called to ask to come switch it, told thats the drink stated on the receipt and that’s it. Refused to come switch it out- literally are 3 blocks from the office...bad for business. Lost a customer for sure. Maybe also this employee needs to stop answering on the speaker phone and pick up the phone so he can hear properly and not screw up orders!!!!

Ive been wanting to try this restaurant so i did and i am disapointed . the service was ok not too attentive . but the food is the reason i wont go back. I ordered a panini it was ok . then I ate a slice of ala vodka pizza and soon i was feeling a little sick. It didnt taste good or feel right so i stopped eating and couldnt finish the slice. Its 7 hours later and im still not feeling to good.

I ate at this restaurant on 4/10/19 with my daughter. I was supposed to be on vacation for a week with my daughter in Riverhead and my trip was cut short by five days because I caught food poisoning from this restaurant. Funny thing how I know it was this restaurant was because it was the only meal I ate all day and I was vomiting up the cheese from their pizza for several hours. In a 20 hour period I vomited 18 times and had diarrhea 23 times from their food. My daughter had diarrhea a few times but not nearly to the extent I had. I called and complained to the manager Brandon who offered me my money back but I was not interested in receiving $15 nor would I want free food from a place that got me sick. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! I have never had such a traumatic experience in my life and thank you Rocco's Pizza for ruining my vacation with my daughter and getting me sick from your food. And if I get a response from the owner on here trying to downplay and dismiss my claim don't even try it and I also don't want to hear something like, you guys take pride in the food that you make, save it a customer got sick from your restaurant end of story thanks a lot. IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNERS COMMENT: Are you insane? Come back to your restaurant to give you the opportunity to serve me again? You had the opportunity the first time around and you ruined my vacation and got me viciously ill. Do you really think I would come back to you, you must have mental illness to be making such statements. How about you give me $1,000 for a ruined vacation and for me being sick for three straight days? You're lucky I dont sue you and/or call the Department of Health on you!!!!

Came in for dinner tonight with my mom. Waited 45 minutes for our food at that point we walked to the back counter where we saw our food sitting there. Which was a small personal pizza. At which point we told the watress we r leaving she started screaming at the top of her lungs! We had our pizza wrapped ( watress still screaming at us ) paid the check and left. We normally get take out and our treated nicely but wanted to sit down tonight to a nice dinnner. We shall stick to take out from now on.

Very disappointed ordered chicken cutlet parmesan dinner comes with 2 pieces of chicken first cutlet was very good second cutlet was like shoe leather couldn't cut it with a knife sent it back...they tell us sorry for the bad chicken it happens sometimes.. only discounted part of dinner because it was half eaten. Come to find out table next to us had the same issue.....And know they didn't ask if we wanted new dinner or something else from the menu

My daughter loves lasagna so we went to Rocco's on Saturday night with my son and daughter. My daughter ordered meat lasagna and I ordered a pizza pie and fried calamari. On the first bite my daughter told me she didn't like it so I told her to have pizza instead. In that moment I didn't even tried or smelled the meat lasagna, when we get home I gave my husband the lasagna and he told me it was rotten. My daughter had stomachache that night and thanks God I didn't give my toddler the lasagna. It was a surprise for me after all these years having pizza from this place. We didn't come back with the rotted food because it was late and didn't want to deal with it. I'm not a person that write reviews in any place but I wanted to do it here because I think this was the worst service I ever have. I can deal with bad customer service but not with rotted food.

I used to order from roccos often, but lately I feel the taste and quality went down hill!!! I ordered a salad a few weeks ago with a side of shrimp. Salad looked terrible and lettuce was warm so I said they must have had a bad morning. Well I ordered today and got what used to be the best stuffed mushrooms ever!!! Well today hardly no mushroom and the filling was terrible!!! And I ordered a Gorgonzola salad that was horrible!!! I’m so disappointed as it is not cheap

Ordered take out meals costing almost fifty dollars, I asked for some grated cheese for the pasta dishes I was told it would be an additional $1.50. I was shocked that they would charge for the cheese. I was told I could take the cheese from the beverage case and sprinkle it on the pasta. I was humiliated at that remark. I stated if I had a sit down meal I could have all the cheese I wanted, the counter person said that’s right. He also stated the boss won’t let us give it out it’s imported from Italy. After several minutes talking to this individual trying to reason and make sense of this policy I told this individual I will never use this establishment again and he didn’t care about losing a customer. I had spaghetti and meatballs and they tasted like dog food. Never again to return.

Ordered online and when I showed up they never received it. They called “slice” the online service and they said I got a email that their online system was down which I never received either. Ordered verbally and still waited 25+ mins... ridiculously long service. They need more employees and to be more organized with orders. Also only ordered a salad and soup which neither needed to be prepared so I don’t understand why it would take so long. 30 min lunch break WASTED when I purposely ordered ahead of time. Never again!

How hard is it to deliver a pizza? Well Rocco’s makes it impossible. First of all they are dishonest. When the pizza arrives it isn’t the price that they said it would be on the phone. The pizza delivered to me was also the wrong size. I told them it wasn’t what I ordered so the delivery guy just said fine, I will take it back. He didn’t bother to call the restaurant or fix it or anything. Then when I called, they hung up on me. No effort on their part at all to fix it or send the correct pizza. They apparently have a bunch of rude kids working there that don’t understand anything about customer service; nor do they care.

Never ever order from this place. I ordered a small personal pie and a soup for delivery. The delivery address is 0.15 miles away. This restaurant kept the delivery driver from DoorDash waiting 45 minutes to hand them my order. I didn't get my order until 55 minutes later! The toppings on the pie were wrong, and the entire pie was cold. The box the pizza came in was completely messed up and exposed. The hot soup is delivered in a plastic container. Absolutely disgusting service and food. There are many other places in Riverhead with similar items - trust me when I say, skip this place and choose one of the other restaurants. Never again!
