So glad a friend recommended this place. Super dog friendly, they have dog treats, pup cups, etc. Walkable area, friendly staff, delicious interesting little pastries, amazing drinks!! Wish the seating was a bit more comfortable/homie, and more hot drink options. Thats me digging deep for constructive critique though! We’ve tried the banana pudding matcha (creamy, well balanced sweetness doesn’t taste like any artificial sweeteners), and the double matcha (light sweetness). I spent some time in Japan, and would say so far this is the best matcha in the area for sure.

Ordered: Melon Matcha & Banana Pudding Latte Their drinks are so amazing. Their foam is so full of flavor! We really want to come back to try the other drinks. The pastries were okay, a bit dense for our liking but still yummy.

Parking taken up in lot in afternoon so make due with street on 2nd St. Corndog latte best new flavor for me, reminds me of the Asian corn chips or candy. The espresso was decent (my taste is toward strong espresso) but pleasantly surprised any coffee flavor at all because I've been to too many coffee shops with lattes overshadowed by milk or with an acidic grind. Friendliest service. Great atmosphere, so much space/seating from bout 10 large tables with 4 seats, scattered 2 seat tables, a bench along a wall, little stool tables, a couple outdoor... plus a sorta cushion corner for kids. I imagine this place is awesome for the Bible study or large gatherings. I'll need to try a canele which don't think I saw any in the afternoon. Settled for a financier, which is like a cake in twinkie size. Honestly love the vibes from a place saying they opened up to help dogs. And the merch & even the food packaging is too cute for a place that opened this year. Hope they last.

Stopped in here on our way out of town and so glad we did! The staff was super friendly and welcoming and explained the menu to us very well. I had the caramel apple matcha and it was sooooo good. Highly recommend checking this place out!

new favorite coffee shop! the inside is very spacious & bright. It has plenty of seating & staff are helpful/kind. :) I tried the Melona Matcha with oat milk (SO GOOD) and my fiancé ordered the PB&Stray (he loved the flavor). They also have cute and delicious pastries. I remember one of the baristas there comparing it to cheesecake (I don’t actually like cheesecake) but the flavor was so tasty. I’d definitely order another one, maybe even try the matcha flavor. They have a parking lot in the back but if it’s full there’s also street parking. They are dog friendly and I’ve already seen a lot of cute doggies whenever we stop by. New local gem :)

Great coffee and friendly personnel. I’m so happy to have this coffee shop a short distance from home. Give this place a shot and experience delicious flavor in your espresso. My English Bulldog also got a pup cup out of our visit. My drink hardly made it home but I ordered a spin on the PB latte. So delicious! I’ll definitely be making this spot a regular place for coffee. Welcome to the neighborhood Stray Dogs Coffee Roasters!

I got the banana matcha, RICH matcha taste that’s not watered down at all, delicious, the egg tart is SO SOFT and delicious, this will be my go-to spot to study :)

Lovely coffee shop that is very dog friendly and met plenty of cute dogs that were there as well. I got the strawberry sakura latte and it was quite delicious with a strong strawberry taste. Be advised to use a straw to stir some of the syrup as it gets stuck to the bottom pretty easily if you get the strawberry sakura latte.

One of my favorite coffee shops—even after just two visits! The place is bright, cheerful, and full of charm, with adorable decor and a section full of Polaroids featuring visiting pups. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming, and the coffee is absolutely delicious. Such a feel-good spot!

Genuinely the nicest people with an excellent coffee. I had a cinnamon iced latte that was perfectly spiced and not overly sweet. The shop is bright, friendly and staff helpful. I am taking fresh roasted beans home which is going to make me long to come back to CA.

The coffees and matchas are so good! I love that they have unique beverages like the Greyhound and the Corn Dog latte. The little cheesecakes are also delicious. My dog had her first pup cup here too. Super friendly staff that explain all of the beverage options. I have also purchased coffee beans here that make fantastic coffee when I make coffee at home.

I had a E&T and pistachio short bread here with my dog, both were delicious and they offer pup cups to all the doggies! Cute and fun environment to get some work done or socialize with friends. Will definitely be back

Stray Dogs Coffee in Riverside is the best coffee shop around. The place feels cozy, the staff is super nice, and the coffee is top-quality. The best part? The corn dog latte. It sounds weird, but it’s actually delicious! The mix of sweet and savory just works, and you won’t find anything like it anywhere else. Plus, dogs are welcome! You can bring your pup, relax, and enjoy a great cup of coffee. If you’re in Riverside, you have to check this place out!

Stray Dogs Coffee Roasters exceeded every expectation at their grand opening on 2/22/25 in Riverside! The experience was simply unforgettable. My daughter enjoyed a custom strawberry milk that was bursting with flavor, while I sipped my first-ever espresso tonic--a refreshingly unique twist perfect for a gorgeous day. The treats didn't stop there: lemon Madeline and a decadent chocolate-on-chocolate cake that truly delighted the senses. The owners greeted us with genuine warmth and expertly guided us through the menu, ensuring we made the best choices. The vibe, decor, and atmosphere are serene, modern, and utterly inviting-every detail exudes peace and sophistication. With reasonable prices and the added charm of drinks being hand-delivered by the owner, Stray Dogs is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in a truly elevated coffee experience. I highly recommend stopping by to see (and taste) what all the buzz is about!

I never leave reviews. But I will say that the matcha here is the best matcha I have ever had (9.3 rating in my book) I have tried matcha everywhere. Absolutely terrific

Overall this cafe gives me amazing vibes! The drinks are good and hear me out on this one; the Japanese cheesecake is surely the best bakery item I've had! Generally, I don't like cheesecakes but the one I had stands above even regular cakes. It's most definitely worth a visit if in the area.

Went on a Saturday afternoon cafe was mostly full with people sitting at table but we were the only ones ordering at the time. Staff varies from simply polite to nice and friendly. They gave us our baked goods immediately upon purchase and we got our 4 drinks in less than 10 minutes. The regular matcha is good but I recommend the double matcha, it has a stronger matcha taste and has a thicker consistency. The double pumpkin latte was good and the hojicha latte was ok. The korean yam latte was ok. The matcha Japanese cheesecake and pumpkin cream cheese muffin were ok. Parking is not easy to find depending what time of day and day you go.

Service is friendly and I like the space. Dogs are allowed and I think the prices are on par with other shops for handcrafted drinks. However I wasn’t too impressed with the matcha yuzu tonic. I liked that the yuzu flavor wasn’t overwhelming and that the drink had just a touch of sweetness although it could have used a little more. The matcha used was a bit grainy and color was less vibrant than I would have liked. While the matcha wasn’t bitter, I also couldn’t really taste any vegetal or grassy notes.

I loved that they had a Christmas tree and couches to sit next to it. They also had an acoustic guitar for anyone to play, which was pretty cool. Coffee was delicious but not many options for sugar free. The guy working the register was welcoming and friendly, however, the barista was not. She had a whole nasty vibe to her. I asked for cinnamon in my coffee, so when it didn’t have any, I asked her for some and she seemed like I was asking her to do something outrageous, had attitude and just didn’t seem like she’d had her cup of coffee yet. My grandson also spilled my coffee and when my daughter asked for napkins, she seemed very bothered by being asked for anything. I understand she’s making the coffee, but a lil bit of customer service would go a long way. The bathrooms were also dirty and don’t seem like they have ever been cleaned. All in all, I wouldn’t mind getting coffee here again, but I’d prefer to go somewhere else that doesn’t seem to be bothered by their customers.

Only been once. Got the matcha, Corndog latte, & Coco latte. All three were just... Ok. The syrups they add settled in the bottom and we're too sweet. I received them iced automatically, even though I didn't ask for it. I do drink hot coffee on hot days. It's normal, I swear. I'll try another time.

I like to order plain lattes in new places I go to to really know if the coffee is good or not. This coffee was bad. I basically only tasted the mik. Totally hipster spot. I guess I wasn't hipster enough because the customer service sucked for me, but they were very helpful to the person in front of me getting those sweet drinks.
