Amiel's subs are, by far, the very best! Bread is baked throughout the day. They will even butter-toast it for! A huge variety of chips, whole dill pickles, bottled and fountain drinks are available. Eating in is like stepping back into the 50s, with shiny red booths and stools, black and white tiled floors, and tin ceilings. Try Amiel's. You'll love it!

Fantastic sub different style of onions and freshly slice roast beef best RB in the area. Chipotle chicken is also great unlike any other spot. Advise against a jumbo gets out of control large is perfect

Every chance I get, I will stop at Amiel's. The roast beef sub is second to none and the combination of beef and fresh baked roll at the restaurant is just the best! My dining partner swears by their meatball sub on wheat. If there is a better Roast Beef sub in Rochester, I'd have to try it to believe it...... and I have had my share, trust me.

The very best. Takes me back to 1967 when I used to get my favorite at Midtown. The beauty part of Amiel's is that while the quality of everything has nose-dived over the past 20 years, Amiel's hasn't. This is the real deal, Homemade bread and cut to order meat. Try one and your hooked for life!!!

Did a light job for Amiel and he rewarded me with some lunch. Stopped by the sub shop and had one of the best subs I’ve had in ages. Service was amazing, atmosphere was great, and that black cherry Hanks soda was delicious. Will frequent this sub shop

BEST SUB I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. HANDS DOWN. Perfect ingredient distribution and amazing customer service. If you don't try this place and get that amazing smoke house turkey... I truly feel bad for what you are missing out on. 10/10

Tyler, Nathan, and Jordi are some of the most welcoming store workers I have ever met. They are enthusiastic about their jobs and ensure that the food and service was acceptable during every visit. The subs are good too. The butter and toasted buns are some of the best I’ve had

I came here on the recommendation of some friends as I had not heard of it before.... which I am very sorry for. I missed out on years of some excellent subs. Watching them fresh sauce the roast beef and instantly put it to my sub was wonderful. The staff were absolutely pleasant. I can't even begin to tell you how intense the sub was. So delicious and flavorful. Definitely making many return trips. Next time I won't inhale my food long enough for a picture

I had a wonderful experience buying 3 Bernie's submarines for me and family. Staff was very friendly. All ingredients were plentiful and fresh. Best sub in town with softest bread, most meat and 2 types of cherry peppers. Super veteran's discount! A tremendous morale builder and treat you will always enjoy!

The buttered bread and then toasted is great. And the highlight to me is their roast beef

I have loved Amiel's Subs since they first opened at Bullshead many years ago. The bread is made there and each sub is made to order as you like it. I cannot resist the tuna sub with their homemade dressing, lettuce, tomato, onions, cheese and sweet red peppers. Delicious! Their chicken and roast beef subs are great also.

All I can say is BEST TUNA SALAD EVER! My husband brought me to Amiel's, and I have been eating at this sub shop ever since. The staff is friendly and attentive, but the HIDDEN GEM is the manager.....Mr. Chris......he's so NICE! Chris makes you want to come back because he puts his heart in giving EXCELLENT SERVICE. AMIEL'S is a Rochester staple.......the subs are DELICIOUS. The bread is so soft and fresh, and made daily (the offer white and wheat.) The TUNA SUB is my favorite and so DELICIOUS(I ask for the secret to the TUNA SALAD, but Chris is not telling......BUMMER.) You MUST try their sub, and you will not be disappointed. 😊

This local favorite has some of the best roast beef in the city! They offer all types of hot and cold subs, along with soups and sides. The beverage selection is expansive, including bottle drinks and fountain drinks. They offer fresh-baked cookies that are one of my favorites. I recommend having your bread buttered and toasted, no matter the choice of meat or toppings. Plenty of seating and parking, but you can wait in line 15-20 minutes to order if you go near lunchtime on a weekday. 50's themed decorations and music.

Another Gem here in the Rochester area. The highlight of my week usually involves getting an extra jumbo sesame seed sub with thinly sliced roast beef, thinly sliced onions and a boatload of their delicious hot cheesesauce. For anyone who enjoys an Arby’s Beef and Cheddar: you will absorb this sub in your mouth and it will be gone fast. Try getting extra cheese sauce on the side to dip every bite into. Always best with a cold yellow vitamin water! Amiels, thank you for the inspirational sammich. Cheers!

I got 2 large subs. Both were made to perfection! I also love the fact they also have side dishes (mac and potato salad). If you get your sub toasted they will butter the sub roll if you want. Yummy!

Love, love, LOVE Amiel's! My favorite place to get a sub in the city! The staff is friendly, the meat is fresh, and the bread is so soft! They also have an amazing signature dressing and the option to get your bread butter toasted. Both are a must! SO GOOD!👍

Their subs are unreal. Great atmosphere, staff is great and personable, bread is some of the best I've had. Their cajun spice is great too, something I haven't seen around at other places. Will be going here more often.

The home made bread is the key to their great subs. Roast beef is delicious and each sub made to order. Nice assortment of craft pop/sodas along with the regular carbonated drinks.

Decided to stop in yesterday 7/23/17 for the first time despite living in Henrietta my whole life. Boy have I been missing out! The employees were very welcoming, pleasant and made me feel that they genuinely love their job! The food was Awesome! The BBQ chicken breast sandwich I got hit the spot! Job well done!

I get a sub from this place at least once every 2 weeks and every single time it’s always fantastic! The food is always delicious and the entire staff is always super friendly. This is probably my go to sub shop here in Rochester. Highly recommended.

The service at Ameils is great so far, for the short time I've been going to Amiels. I even told my sons and they agree the sandwhiches are great , Hovever, Today I went to Ameils March 6th I returned because everything has always been excellent, but today not so! the small young man with the beard that made my sandwhich put hardly nothing on my subs , the sandwhich was flat as a board almost , on my turkey sub , he repeated the same on the roast beef and Turkey sub for my son, my son said said "what happened? !! the sandwhiches you could see it was mostly bread nothing at all like the subs you experience that Ameil makes ,I will think twice before letting him make my sub again very disappointing , when I refer someone I'd hate for them to run into this guy to make there subs , because it would'nt live up to Ameils reputation for excellent quality, not coming from Mr skimpy, chronicles of a skimpy sub.

Best seafood subs in town. Careful when selecting your pickles, when they say hot, they REALLY mean it - if unsure, go with the sweet! Operating very well in safe covid conditions. Great food, worth a visit.

Amiel's is always a favorite stop whenever I'm in Rochester. The place looks like what the 80's thought the 50's looked like, and they probably haven't renovated in 30 years, but that only adds to the homegrown charm. They make good subs, period.

I’m a sub lover and Amiels is the best! Love the original assorted sub with original bread. I love everything about their subs. I always ask for extra lettuce because it’s shredded perfectly. Tuna subs are amazing too. It’s like stepping back in time when you walk into their restaurant. The service is great. I highly recommend Amiels !! 5 stars for sure!!

My mom loved it here, brought my picky self here, and I love it too. My experience has always been great but I really appreciated that the young lady changed her gloves without me having to even ask. As an incredibly picky person PLEASE don't accidentally get mayo on my sandwich. As soon as I said I was picky she wiped the knife too again without me asking! I told the manager and he was so appreciative of the kind words and very kind himself. Thanks for the yummy lunch Amiel's! 🤗

This is a 5-star for the food. Excellent freshly baked bread every day is a game changer here. All you have to do is get the original sandwich on seed bread with all the free toppings (make sure to get the spicy mustard) and you’re set. The dine in experience is nothing to write home about so just take it to go. Staff is all very friendly.

I am writing this as a first time customer here. Let me just say I got the Jumbo roast beef sub and honestly it was the best sub that I've ever had in my life...Even better then Wegmans! I dont know what roast beef they use but to me it almost tastes like Charlie the Butchers but I am not sure. I got a couple extra few things that were great. They Have loaves of 1 dollar bread which to me is such a great deal! Also got a pickle. The workers there the girls who helped me were so very nice and friendly . GREAT PLACE JUST GO!!!! Your taste buds will thank you

Famous for their tuna sub, sub rolls and hot peppers. I will travel for 25 miles just to pick one up. Also meatball subs are really good. Sure the rest are too but I have been so happy with those in all the 50 years I’ve been getting them I just get those

After having a sub-par sandwich from another place where the roast beef tasted more like corned beef, decided to try Amiels. A sandwich from Amiels with dressing and honey mustard tasted absolutely fantastic. Nice and meaty, like I wanted. Great sandwich at a good price!

Very glad Aimee’s is a part of our lives here in Rochester. Nothing better than a roast beef sub with cheese sauce and shaved onions on a sesame seed bun. It’s like an Arby’s beef and cheddar but WAY BETTER. One of the best places to get lunch or dinner and I will keep eating there until I die.

The subs are delicious, the restaurant is clean, but most of all the staff is super friendly. Tyquan is the absolute best!!! He is often overheard remembering customers orders, and is someone who truly enjoys his job. His humor and kindness are memorable.

While Anderson Creamery might hold the title for the "legendary" roast beef, Amiel's still delivers a great sandwich, especially when you factor in the convenience of its location for those in the Henrietta area.

Passing through and looking for a good roast beef sandwich that isn’t heavy like Arby’s. This was amazing. We enjoyed the beef n cheddar. Our pickup order was ready in < 20 minutes in a Thursday night. The restaurant was very clean with a fun atmosphere. I recommend.

“there are so many choices.” “and they all look soooo good.” “wow! he’s really loading it.” “can we get hot peppers?” “Hank’s is always classic.” “The chicken salad is the BEST (and cow safe)” [stop here every time i’m in town. the fresh baked bread scent hits you as soon as you come in and it only gets better from there. the staff is super, the sandwiches rock and the classic sodas enhance the atmosphere. clearly a favorite place to go.] “tell Hal n’ Jack sent you.” “Yah. they won’t know what that means, but tell ‘em we sent you anyway.” 🤣

I've lived in the area for 3 years but hadn't been to Amiel's until today. Absolutely delicious beef and cheddar. They don't skimp on the beef. Nice and quick service when prepping your order. My friends who got a meatball sub (I had a bite and it was great) and Bernie's favorite thoroughly enjoyed theirs as well. Will definitely be returning in the future when I feel the need for a good sandwich.

A great place for sub sandwiches! Smoked Turkey, Roast Beef, Tuna and meatball subs are great! Don't forget to get a chocolate milk and a cookie or two.. so good! We had White Chicken Chili and New England Clam Chowder soups' which were good, but expensive ($5/cup) and super hot so be sure to let it cool down first! The atmosphere is a throwback to the 50's, decor is nice and the music will help transform you back to that era.

One of my all time favorite subs of all time! The rolls are super unique and you can get them buttered and toasted. Always great service and fresh ingredients too. The hot peppers are amazing as well! Do not hesitate to try Amiel's at all. You won't be disappointed.

Sub ordered was absolutely delicious. The bread is excellent Quick service I thought Dibellas and Wegmans had the best subs until I stumbled upon this place while working in Rochester 👍

P

Love this place for subs. Sub rolls are always fresh and staff has great customer service. This time I went in today basically right before close and asked for no onions and there was a ton of them on my sub when I got home. Also sub maker was skimpy on the lettuce and tomatoes were never included on sub when they were requested. If i didnt actually like the sub place i would rate 0 stars just on the account of my sub being made wrong.

E
Ehn Gee

This place has great subs and sandwiches! The sandwich makers are generally friendly. I don't like the tomato sauce that's used here but their cold cuts and chicken-based subs are very good. This place has an awesome selection of chips and drinks. Their large cookies are great. And they have the biggest dill pickles a person could buy! The parking here sucks, and the road this place is directly off of is always busy so it can take a while to leave.

D
Dacks

A toasted fresh made roll is the best thing about Amiel's. You have to be very clear what you are ordering. The other day I asked for a toasted roll, and it didn't get toasted. That was on me, I needed to be either louder or ask again. The subs when made the way I like are first rate.

M
Michelle Brown

I had never been to Amiel's. I was impressed. I'm picky about roast beef, but figured I'd give it a try. I'm also not a huge eater but ordered a double. I got a roast beef sandwich rather than a sub. It was thinly shaved right while I waited. It was so tasty and fresh! A double is way too much, but I didn't mind having the other half for dinner. Delish! The service was quick even though there was a line. And I was even served up a couple jokes while checking out. I'll definitely go back in the future.

A
Andrew Sanjanwala

If you like soft sub rolls and a basic selection of meat and toppings, Amiels is for you. If you'd rather have a complex sub or sandwich that has more going on, there are many better choices right around the corner. Their roast beef is pretty good, but the toppings feel too basic some days. Prices are fair, service is as expected for a sub stop--five to ten minutes in-and-out.

T
Timothy Arrowsmith

They are the best sub shop in the Rochester area (that I have tried so far). Dibella's used to be the best but I think Amiel's has now edged them out a bit. How can I say such a daring statement? Have you tried their "Bernie's favorite" sandwich? Oh... my... gosh. It's amazing! I brought a friend in to try it the other day and he said "wow - they must have sprinkled 'yummy' all over this". I suppose their other sandwiches are good too but after trying the Bernie's I have not had anything else in a few years. Now that I have let the cat out of the bag don't go making the lines any longer than they already are. They already tend to be a bit long around the peak of the lunch hour.

S
S. Hugh

Usually get a sub cold or hot there very good. Neon was repaired since my last visit. Very nostalgic. People are great. in our economy it's not what it was but this is that side of the cycle. Have done dine in or take out. Lunch time, expect them to be at capacity. They have quite a following.

A
Artanis Z.

It's really good. There's a reason it's been in business for so long. Subs are freshly made, bread is very fresh and tasty. For a cold sub, it's hard to find something better in the area. You can also buy day old bread at a steep discount so you can go home and make another sandwich on the great rolls! Not a single chain can even compare in terms of quality, flavor and price. The store desperately needs an update. Even though it's not forgotten, waking in the restaurant gives a feel of a dated forgotten establishment. It's very difficult to find a better sub though. There are decent competitors in the area but amiels is my go to for a big classic submarine.

M
Michael Menna

Overall Amiel's is good food. The bread for the subs is fresh baked daily and it shows. If there is a line prepare to wait a bit. The service can be a bit slow but that also means they don't rush making the subs. Well worth the wait.

My favorite subs! Bonus for the sweet peppers and butter+toasted

Some of the best subs in town. Customer Service could've been better but it was busy and they still handled the rush very well.👍🏾

Are you looking for fresh made soup and sandwiches? Look no further. Great sub shop with pop-shop ambience and sixties pop music playing overhead. I had the half-sub combo with soup and a Coke. I had the loaded potato soup. It was thinner than I've had elsewhere, but the taste is spot-on awesomeness, with the slightest hint of rosemary. The sandwich was the Beef With The Works. I had roast beef, lettuce, tomato, onion and sweet peppers on "regular" sub bread which means no seeds here. The peppers were red peppers, pickled. They toasted and buttered the loaf for me! The combo came with a fountain drink cup for self-serve. I filled up with Dr.Pepper. It was mixed perfectly. The counter people were super helpful and very nice. Thee was nothing weird for me ordering as a first-timer here. Drop into low-gear and slide on into this place. You will be pleased, I think! Cheers, glenesis

Used to go there a couple of times per week 2012-2019. Was one of my favs. Was not really that good my wife agreed. Just didn't do the trick. On the dry side with minimal Roast Beef. Oh well...

The chicken salad is popular here & the Amiel's Beef. The bread was fresh. Subs also come in Jumbo size for around $16! Sandwiches are made right in front of you, while choosing your custom toppings. Staff was friendly & efficient. Average low prices compared to commercialized chain shops, fresher tasting food. Amiel's has been in business since I was a child, so they must be doing lotsa things right!

A solid 4-star. First visit and it took me a minute to hone in on what I wanted. Went with a large Buffalo Chicken-A-Miel with hot peppers and extra buffalo sauce. After my first bite my sinuses opened right up and I knew then I was in store for one delicious sub. Great selection of glass bottled drinks….. think Hank’s Root-beer. Save room for a cookie.

C
Craig Bohrer

Underwhelming. The food is priced right and ok but does not stand out. The bread falls apart and they use cheese whiz if you order cheddar on your sub...its gross. Their drink prices are over the top. I do love their peppers. I will likely be back due to the proximity to my work.

C
Chelsea Howe

The roast beef here is on point. Also my sub maker Chris H was so polite and efficient he gets 5 stars. The cashier was so rude. She didnt say thank you or have a nice day. Worst of all she told me there was only 1 flavor of Gold Peak tea in the fridge behind her but I could see there was at least 3 different ones. I just wanted her to check because the fridge I could get too was empyt. Not great service.

A+ quality and quantity. The tuna is best in town, but the place needs updating. The booths are turn and dirty panels falling etc.... Needs repairs

The food was delicious. I would have gave them five stars if the customer service was good. A lady taking the sub order was absolutely rude until I told her it was our first time there. Then she apologized for her rudeness. She expected us to know every ingredient that they had thankfully when we cashed out our sub, the man upfront was delightful. He is the only reason we will go back.

H
Heather Michael

Would be 5 stars if it weren't for the sandwiches my boyfriend and I got today. We've been eating here a few times a month for the past few months because their subs are fantastic. Today, however, was a different story. There, MAYBE, was two layers of meat throughout my sub (I got the Italian assorted, so that doesn't make sense at all because it's supposed to have 4 types of meat.) The tomatoes weren't ripe and the bread was really hard. I'm not sure if the younger guy that made the subs was new or just didn't care but we're for sure gonna venture elsewhere from now if we stop in and he's the one making sandwiches.

Samuel Sweazy
Samuel Sweazy

My Meatball sub was packed full and delicious but my wife's turkey sub was basically just bread. Very little meat.

B
Bob Metcalfe

If I was rating the food alone it would be a 5, and it always has been. But the customer service here over the past two years has become absolutely HORRIBLE! We seem to always get the same woman to help us and she's absolutely miserable every time. I try to throw her a smile, be polite, and bring up small talk. She'll have none of it. While I absolutely love the food here, the customer service may actually bring me to the point of not returning, which is truly sad.

M
Michelle Smith

Placed order online. And they gave it to another person apparently with same name. So waited. Ordered 2 subs. I couldn't believe it. Literally 2 slices of meat. And Im not kidding 2 slices. And few peppers on our large subs. Wow.!! Won't order there again.

C
Canine Athletes

Not the same. Haven't been here since pre-pandemic. It used to be one of the best subs in Rochester. Not anymore. The sub rolls used to be fresh baked everyday. Not today; the bread tasted like it was at least 3-4 days old. Their butter/toaster machine was barely working. Took minutes to go through the machine and there was no butter or toasting haha. So that didn't help the taste of the old bread. The roast beef used to be fresh and flavorful. Not anymore. Was dry, overcooked and just lacked flavor. The staff was friendly and doing their best but it's obvious management is cutting corners and the result is a below average, lackluster sub. Disappointing but not surprising in today's world.

G
George Wade

Been buying Amiels subs off and on for decades. I got the Bernies Favorite. It was a lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise sandwich. Almost no meat. Service is still good there, but the food is not worth it.

P
Pink Ribbon

The girl waiting on us barely talked to us never asked us if we wanted it toasted or buttered. We had to speak up and ask for stuff! They must have gone down on how much meat they give u on the sub as there was barely any turkey on the sub which is very rare here? The restaurant was a mess not 1 clean table very disappointed! The manager that is usually here was not today not sure if that makes a difference but when she is here everything runs smoothly!

B
Brandy Phillips

It's not the same... Amiel's subs was the best subs in Rochester New York... My nephew and I traveled all over United States, but every time we came home, we had to go to Amiel's to get us a sub... I got a notification saying I can order a sub from Amiel's... It was terrible... It was not the subs that I grew up on... Maybe they have a new owner...

Rebecca Miller
Rebecca Miller

I have loved Amiels for a really long time but this last pick up order really bothered me. I got the “Choose 2” with capicola and salami and my friend got the Italian assorted. The bread was stale and hard (not the soft, chewy bread I love) and there was so little meat on both sandwiches, it was truly like eating a bread and condiment sandwich. So disappointing.

Julie
Julie

I didn’t like it. I kept questioning whether or not the roast beef was fresh. They no longer have any sandwich item on the sandwich menu. They only have the subs. The cheddar cheese was like nacho cheese in a squeeze bottle and didn’t look good at all. The roast beef didn’t taste or look good. It tasted like pate wet cat food in a can that I feed my cats and smelled like it too. The place is dirty including the bathroom. The plumbing is still that of 1920. Backed up and didn’t flush well. All the fancy word lights inside didn’t work like the word sign “bakery” for example. I wouldn’t eat there again. The workers were very friendly. I liked how they took their time with each customer. Making for a long wait but the attention is very nice. One worker even made sure the table was clean for us offering to clean it if it wasn’t.

I live in NC and always make an effort to come to Amiel’s when I’m in Rochester. I ordered a tuna sub and it looked .... okay. My puddle of mayo with minimal tuna. Then I was horrified when I saw how dirty EVERY SINGLE table was... then how dirty the bathroom is. Crumbs on every table, tissues on the floor, napkins scattered. I had to wipe my own table to get a clean spot. The food was not good and unfortunately I don’t think I will attend this location again. Look closely at my pics.... go with dibellas!

I had a large tuna sub and it was horrible! I never had a bad sub from here and I'm disappointed to say the least! My bread was toasted and had a bunch of butter on it I never asked for any of that. The tuna itself didn't taste fresh and mainly all I could taste was the nasty butter! Damn I didn't wanna cook tonight what a waste I'm going back to Wegman's 😑

Always purchase at this location never had a problem: however today I specifically stated no onions, I can’t eat onions; I have an allergicI reaction to them; got home to discover my sub was loaded with onions. Employees need to be attractive to orders; especially when people have food allergies... Didn’t feel like driving back out... my garbage can had a good lunch

I’m working in town, feel like having a meatball sub, and figured I’d give this place a try. Unfortunately for me, the 4 employees working today didn’t feel the need to acknowledge my presence AT ALL during the 7 minutes I stood at the counter. There were only two customers in front of me, and three employees behind the counter. There is absolutely no reason for this. Based solely on my brief visit, their service is deplorable.

The subs are tasty, but the service is horrible. I asked for Amiel’s dressing and the woman making the sub was annoyed I said Amiel’s and not Italian dressing. Why is it on the menu as Amiel’s dressing and not Italian then? She kept responding back over and over with an annoyed loud tone saying Italian dressing. The place is called Amiel’s, get some better understanding staff!

I typically go to the one in Victor and I love that one. I was in the area so I ordered about $60 worth of food for the family and it was TERRIBLE! I don't write reviews often, but I had to say something. There was pretty much nothing on our subs and half of my sub seemed like it was just dipped in water. It was so soggy. If you want to try their food, take the trip to Victor. Idk if I'll even go to that one either anymore. I'll stick with Wegmans.

order of two chick-a-miel subs, one large and one jumbo. The bread was like a sponge as we could not finish after the first couple of bites. It felt as though the bread was submerged in water versus toasted. Very disappointing.

Amiel‘s is said to be the “original submarine,” and has said it serves Rochester with the finest subs. This was a 1st time to this sub shop. I decide to try this on my lunch break. When I 1st came in, I was greeted by a girl who rolled her eyes because I was looking at the menu it being my first time. She talked very fast while taking my order and I felt rushed to make my decision. I told her it was my first time here, she said nothing. Then it took her 10 mins to toast and butter my bread. I asked for oregano and she didn’t even know what it was. I went up to the counter to pay and no one was there. I waited 3 minutes before someone said go cash him out... which the guy who did cash me out was upset he had to tend to the registered. He said he can’t be the only one that is able to run the registered and that most of the time it’s just card payments. Soooooo unprofessional. Not once did he make eye contact with me or greet me. He Handed me my receipt while still talking to his co-workers who were making sandwiches. I left feeling disgusted. That was the WORST customer service I have ever had. 1st impression ruined! I don’t think I will ever go back there. I hope the owner of the company knows that those people that they hired for this location aren’t representing him or her in good way. The customer service is extremely low. The sandwich itself wasn’t bad and had it not been for the horrible customer service, I wouldn’t mind returning.

This use to be my fav place.I ordered the seafood sub as always. When I got home it was grease on the bag which I got no oil on sub. It had no bad smell and went down well. Few hours later tummy aches and pain. Then I googled what could have a seafood salad with oil if non was used improper mixing or old seafood mix😢

Food is great service not so much. My Father and i grabbed a couple subs for dinner. My fathers card kept saying chip failed on the card reader so he paid $20 cash no big deal right? Well he checks his bank account the next day and the credit charge went through and charged his card. He called them today and because the cashier did not give or offer a receipt they wont refund him his $20 they double charges him which they would know the cash drawer would be over unless the woman working pocketed the cash.. poor customer service and management and just lost a few good customers. Moral to the story dont leave without a receipt and watch your cards.

Ordered from here through door dash. I ordered two subs and the receipt and the door dash order confirmed that I requested provolone cheese. Both subs were missing cheese, very disappointing

I have been going to Amiel’s for a very long time. The subs do get a 5 star from me. Tuna is my favorite and I highly recommend. Staff has great customer service as well. Having said that……..The cleanliness of the entire place is pretty bad…..I usually give a restaurant 3 visits to be fair, as I know sometimes there can be a day off. And, I have always pointed out to staff how “unkept” the place looks. My last 3 visits have been disheartening………it looks plain dirty…… On my visit today it was, big sigh, looking quite terrible. Lettuce all over the place, roast beef machine terrible, some staff tee shirts looked dirty, counters and floor not good, walls dirty……. Can we please go back to wearing a mask while staff is talking over the sandwiches being made…….Can you please ask staff to change their gloves if they touch a mop, garbage can, or their hat?? When I ask staff to change their gloves they look at me like I’m crazy. They should hire one person who’s sole job is to make sure counters where the sandwiches are being made are clean, staff looks sharp, floors are swept and mopped, etc….. The huge dirty garbage can behind the counter should be cleaned or placed descretly in an area out of sight. I love the subs from Amiel’s and I do hope they enforce a training on all the above, discuss cross contamination, wear mask while making sandwiches, etc……. Will I go back?? Yes…….and hope to see a better change.

This was the worst sub and service ever. I ordered the Italian and all I got was salty ham with a slice of salami I've eaten at Amiels for over 50 years and this was just awful.

As a long time customer I have see that observed that since Senior Amiel passed away the quality of the subs have gone down. The subs are made different. The meat isn’t the same. The standard have changed that made Amiel’s stand out amongst the rest is lacking. And they weighed the meat? No more? See pic of extra I didn’t order

I ordered a large Tuna, lettuce, onion, and cheese. I opened the sub from the wrapping, and it was all over the place; half the cheese was out of the sub in the wrapper. The tuna was watery and had no taste! Mess and waste of $12!

Unfortunately, is somebody that is gone to a moles at multiple locations over the course of the past 25 years I could tell you that the business has gone down a horrible path and spiraled out of control. Take a look at how disgusting the environment was, and told me that you would eat here. The roast beef was over cooked the food was bland and to top it off when I sat down and looked at the disgust around me is pretty clear that I would never ever go back.
