An amazing meal at Pokizzis this Thursday evening. A wonderful waitress named Erika who was knowledgeable and helpful and personable. The food was delicious and well presented. Will definitely go again.

We had a phenomenal experience celebrating our anniversary over the summer. It was one of the best dining experiences we've had. The attention to detail in the preparation and seasoning of our dishes was amazing. We can’t wait to go back!
POLIZZI’S Had a superb meal at Polizzi’s in Village Gate. Great service from Erika who is super friendly and attentive and caring. The restaurant was packed and the atmosphere was electric. Great drinks. Fine food. Excellent service. What more can we ask for?
A Taste of Culinary Heaven If ever there were a gateway to culinary heaven, surely it would be through the doors of this extraordinary restaurant. From the moment you step inside, you’re enveloped in a warm, cozy atmosphere that feels like a gentle embrace — intimate yet elegant, familiar yet refined. The service is nothing short of five-star perfection. Attentive without being intrusive, the staff elevate hospitality to an art form, anticipating your needs with grace and precision. Every detail, from the ambient lighting to the thoughtfully curated amenities, speaks of a place where comfort and sophistication coexist in harmony. And then, the food. Oh, the food. Each dish is a masterpiece — a symphony of flavor, texture, and presentation that dazzles the senses and stirs the soul. Whether you’re savoring a delicate appetizer or indulging in a decadent dessert, you’ll find yourself pausing, eyes closed, in reverent appreciation of the culinary artistry before you. This isn’t just a meal. It’s a ritual. A celebration. A moment of transcendence. Dining here is not merely an experience — it’s a memory etched in flavor, a story told in taste, and a journey you’ll want to relive again and again.
We went to Polizzi's for the first time and it won't be our last! The service along with our appitizers, main meal and desert was exceptional! The baklava and ice cream was like no other! Definitely homemade. The food was spot on and everything was outstanding!
Always enjoyable, and food has been superb each time. On my most recent visit, I brought two cousins here. One had never tried moussaka and was delighted with her dish. The other said his steak was the best he’d ever eaten. My mushroom risotto was delicious, with real savor of wild mushrooms. Also, walking up to the place at dusk on a warm autumn evening through the delightful Village Gate courtyard added to the ambiance of the occasion.
Food was absolutely amazing. Lots of variety of choices. Love thier cod meal and my husband had lamb. Both were very good. Their service was amazing as well. We celebrate our 19 years of marriage and I'm glad we choose this place. It was popping for a Tues evening.
We had appetizers and drinks at the bar. Service was excellent! Food was good & my only critique Is that the beets on the salad were a vinegar bomb. Less vinegar and maybe some honey in the pickling juice? Thank you for a pleasant visit
⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ AMAZING! The food here is just delicious. We had saganaki to start with tzatziki- the saganaki came to the table alight - it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Followed by lamb chops and steak. My lamb chops were cooked to perfection as was the steak. We had a side of roasted Brussels sprouts which were amazing. I took a dessert out as I just can’t resist baklava. That also was delicious. The staff were lovely - very friendly and informative. We have been travelling across America for nearly 3 months and this was one of the best meals we’ve had. We would a DEFINITELY go back.
Great food, service & atmosphere IN THE RESTAURANT. We recommend reservations. The food was VERY good, with reasonable pricing. I had a full size Ceasars salad & my guests had the 1/2 size Greco-Roman "greek" salad. I have photos for portion size. For the entres, I had a baked cod & my guests had moussaka. Again, I shared photos and they were very good. We shared a desert sampler, which was amazing. The only down side is they are in the Village Gate building, which is a sketchy, risky neighborhood. Park your car under a camera & and light. Or park in front of the police substation next to the chimmey with the "Village Gate" sign. This is a classy upscale venue at reasonable prices. Just "be aware" in the parking lot.
There are not enough words to express what an amazing dinner experience we had recently at Polizzi's. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with modern furnishings and soft ambient lighting. The tasteful but understated decor creates a welcoming chill vibe that makes you feel like you want to stay a while. My boyfriend and I were warmly welcomed and seated by the hostess shortly after we arrived. Keep in mind we arrived at 6:30 pm hoping we would be able to score seats at the bar because of the dinner rush. We were very surprised and happy when we were told by the hostess that there was a booth for two available. It was just perfect for our long overdue date night because it provided us with the perfect amount of privacy so we could enjoy our dinner and conversation with minimal interruption. Before I get into the food, I have to show the Polizzi's staff some love. When we arrived we were told that they were short a server and that it may be a bit of a wait. Honestly, I felt the kitchen and wait staff timing was perfect. I thought that the entire staff work well together and everyone pitch in to make sure the customers were happy and had what they needed. Shout out to our server Joe B who is just cool like that. I don't think I saw him pause or slow down the entire time we were there. What I appreciated the most about Joe, even though he was putting in work that night he always had a smile on his face, was attentive and friendly to the customers and staff. Disclaimer: before I get into the food (which was amazing), Polizzi's casual fine dining restaurant, so expected it to be on the pricy side. However, our dinner and the entire experience were priceless and worth every penny. Let's get on to the good stuff...the food...YUM! The homemade Italian bread is wonderful, it was a crunchy texture on the outside and a soft and slightly chewy interior that pairs perfectly with the dipping oil. We started our meal off with drinks and their Grandma Carmella's Minulotti appetizer, which is their wonderful bread that is stuffed with Italian sausage and a generous topping of melted mozzarella. Three words "Yummy Cheesy Goodness". For dinner my boyfriend order the grilled Cod dinner special, the cod was grilled to perfection, it was crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. The cod serves with a creamy mushroom sauce, asparagus, and saffron rice. I order the Braised beef short ribs and Truffle Butter Mashed Potatoes. I enjoyed every tender, rich and flavorful bite. The mashed potatoes were creamy perfect sides to round out the dish. Thank you to Tom, Joe, and the team at Polizzi for an amazing evening. We are looking forward to attending your next wine and food pairing events.
Our first time dining here. Must say it was a great experience. Great service. We had wonderful drinks and every bite of our dinner was better than the last. We tried each other's dishes and just amazing. Four of us had different desserts and we were not disappointed! Thank you for loving what you do. It definitely shows.
Love this place. Great food and great service.... One suggestion, we ate at the bar, TV on with no sound playing who knows what, but no one was watching....I checked....better to set the TVs to scenes from Italy or an aquarium. That said, very eclectic crowd, young people and older people. We had a fig pizza and wine, both excellent. Service outstanding. Place was packed and we came around 7:30.
I was not extremely impressed with this place. It was nice enough but the food was very very expensive for what it was. There was not a very big menu either which puts limitations on folks who may have special diets. My son in law has celiacs and he was told the fries would be fine but then the girl came and told him the fryer was not clean so he shouldn’t get them. That was very nice that she came and told him so he didn’t get sick. I really appreciated that.
