Sager Beer Works Rochester Reviews
Great beer, friendly atmosphere, amazing food! Their pizza was 10/10 🍕, their beer selection is always great but their mango nectar sour ale was amazing! They even freshly canned a 4 pack to go for me. Can’t wait for the next visit!
Visited for 1st time yesterday. Had a great bartender who made delicious Cosmo and Margarita (have craft beers but also a cocktail menu for us non beer drinkers). Ordered the Gochujang Vodka Pizza and may have been the best pizza I have ever eaten. The whole experience was great, hidden Rochester gem, and will definitely be back!
Lovely pizza. Beer was not typical of the type of beef but delicious.
Hosted my wife's birthday party here last minute. I will forever be grateful to the owners and staff here as well as their partnership with the Doughboyz pizza company. I will be back to forever support solely based on the fact that they were just so helpful in a time of need. Great place!
Great selection of beers combining efforts from 2 breweries. Love the location and vibe. The dough boys (pizza shop inside) pump out some top notch pies, wings, pretzels and cookies. I was a huge fan of the darks brews that had on tap
This is by far our favorite brewery in Rochester! Great place to hang out-and the beer is consistently excellent! We love the menu and the pizza too!!
Beer is always fantastic, staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is great. They have board games and typically have live bands if you want to hangout. Their food has always been just “eh” but their new vendor that took over their food was great. Wings were so good! Smoked then lightly fried.
The wings ! OMG, their doggone WINGS !!! And their PIZZA !!! I just went there yesterday, and going back tonight and maybe tomorrow. Oh wait, they may not be open tomorrow (Sunday). OK, I'll go back Monday, and Tuesday, Wednesday... Their beers are also GREAT ! Oh, their stout is some good stuff !
8/10/24: The beer was great. I had a couple of the dark lager beers. I enjoy the collaboration with Stone yard. The food is fantastic! That pretzel is amazing. The atmosphere is great as usual. Even like the outside patio they have set up. I liked the location. The inside is great. G good beer
GREAT TIME!! Visited Sager after the 2023 St Patricks parade. Had an EXCELLENT live band (Gypsy Moon) and a great vibe to hang out in. The food was really good for such a small kitchen. We tried several things (see pictures) and were impressed by all. The beer selection was quite vast and had something for everyone. Our group was very impressed and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!
Hop passport brought me here. They have an award winning stout and some delicious New England IPA. Super friendly bartender that was from Germany with some cool stories. The owner also served us and had some good conversations with him. Truly enjoyed my time here. Definitely Will be back and I highly recommend this place!
This was a real cool discovery. Never knew it existed until my nephew took us there. The restaurant and bar area is designed that it is welcoming and inviting and almost seems that the layout wants you to interact with others. The bartender was great and assisted us with the perfect beer for what we were looking for. Highly recommend the place. Review 2. Second time here. Still great. Tried the board nest burger and it was great. Prices are very fair for what you getand still well worth the trip Review 3. Fun place just had dinner, super beers, I just wish I lived closer to enjoy this place more
Attended the soft opening. Very good beer, a nice selection of different but similar varieties. There is a very good IPA and a good Kolsch. The food was good, they gave out samples of the food. The pretzels were good and served with tasty mustard and cheese. Flat bread pizza was good. The atmosphere was great, very nice looking wood table tops. Great service.
Sager is one of the harder places I've tried to rate. I meet a group of colleagues there every other week, so I've been there alot. Their claim to fame is the beers they brew themselves... but I no longer drink beer. Having a kitchen serving food is an advantage... but while the food is tasty, the prices are on the high side. The atmosphere is cozy but it's sometimes crowded and loud, which is not helped by the background music. This can make conversing difficult. I vacillated between 3 and 4 stars, but ultimately gave them 4 based on the strength of their service.
I keep trying to like this place. They have some good beers. I've gone there when they're supposed to be open...but aren't. They do not update their draft list. Been there two weeks in a row for my favorite porter which is listed on their site, only to be told maybe tomorrow... we're waiting for it to come from brockport. They have cans of cider displayed.....but don't have them. There are currently 14 people in line and only one server.
