Claudette’s Cafe Rockaway Park Reviews
I came down from Westchester to meet up with some friends. We went to this cafe. The coffee was great and the snacks are amazing. I had the sourdough waffle with cinammon sugar. It was moist and delicious. With the A train stopping nearby, I will definitely be coming back.
Love seeing and supporting new places in the Rockaways. I enjoy Ice coffee but gave the Rockaway Special a try and it was great. Looking forward to going back.
Always positive vibes and super clean. Everything that I've ordered was very delicious!!
Omg I cannot stop thinking about these peanut butter overnight oats, they're SO GOOD! 🫶🏼

Great coffee spot with creative lattes and delicious pastries at the base of the Rockaway Hotel. I had the Cardamom Rose and it was the right combo of unique but not too sweet. Cool owner and very nice staff as well. Check it out for coffee when you’re in Rockaway!
Claudette’s Cafe, I instantly fell in love with this new spot. Though I’m sad to see the 117th Street location closed, this new cafe more than makes up for it. The selection of baked goods is fantastic, with both cold and hot drinks that are equally impressive. Everything I tried was fresh and delicious. The cafe’s convenient location near the beach makes it a perfect stop before or after enjoying the shore. The staff at Claudette’s Cafe are friendly and courteous, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. This has quickly become my new go-to place, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area.
I love coming here, Kyle is so kind every time I see him. The rest of the staff is very nice, great taste. Everything I get is a 10/10 !
I've been to Claudette's many times, including their other locations. Every time I visit, the service is lovely and the food is so delicious! I want to go every day. I highly recommend their Tel Aviv pita and tahini hot chocolate! Thank you ❤️
Lovely experience — calm, comfortable, and very well organized.

They have an amazing frozen coffee. The pistacho latte is also very good. We came here going to the beach and the frozen coffee was great for the walk left in that hot summer day. Thanks for everything
The location is very convenient on the way to the beach. The first time I visited I had a less than favorable experience but they reached out and invited me back. The second time was much better in terms of service! The barista got my order right and was pleasant. However I’m still not a huge fan of their hot coffee… kind of watery for my taste. Maybe their other drinks are better!
Was cruising around the Rockaway’s the first time in many moons stumbled upon this lovely café, where I enjoyed a fantastic ice brew coffee

Visited 2 weeks ago Location: 5/5- Next to beach Service: 4/5 Cleanliness: 4/5 Food: 3/5- Limited drink menu with some pastries. Only one size for drinks (medium cup i'd say). Milk substitutes available. Had an iced latte which was nice and smooth. A bit pricey ($7 for iced latte) and some random obsurd pricing ($10 for special iced coffee feature of the day). Would i return? Yes
Says it’s open till 6pm. Walked for 25 min to get a good cup of coffee only to find the “sorry we’re closed” sign. It’s 4pm.

Used to love Claudette’s, always been a huge supporter of all their businesses, but as time has gone on their menu has changed significantly and not really for the better. I will say they were always a little on the slower side with service but it has gotten significantly worse across the board. Unfortunately the only location now is at the hotel and this is my second time coming and they have an entire menu posted and only serve about 4 things on it because they either don’t have the ingredients or their blender is broken.. seems a little weird. Always rooted for this place but it seems like there has been minimal improvement.
The location of this spot is great but my first and only experience with the staff just left me confused. I ordered the blended frozen coffee drink (looked delicious, was unfortunately not) and when I went to ask for a straw the unenthused barista told me they were proudly strawless and tapped the strawless sign, as if I was foolish for missing this. While I support any company's choice to do this I offer a few things: a) you are required by law to have straws available for those who require them. You don't have to have them on the counter but you do have to have them onsite. and b) don't put things on your menu that legitimately require straws? I almost took a sip in front of them so they could see the whole drink fall only my face lol. Instead, I went across the street to the deli where they happily provided me a straw and THE friendliest and most genuine customer service. I was honestly ashamed to have not gone to them in the first place and from now on, I will.

First of all, the latte was total 7.60, an extra dollar for iced. Which in this economy, fine let’s say that’s on par with other nice cafes. The problem was the lid isn’t even functional, it keeps dripping every time you take a sip which defeats the entire purpose of a lid. I complained to the staff and she replaced it with a new one and said sorry they’re “loose”, so they know it’s a problem. I also asked if they could refill my water bottle but she let me know it’s a dollar charge, which I think is ridiculous. Water is free. I gave two stars because the staff was nice but these other points ruined things for me, I would not recommend.

I’m not sure what happened to this place since last summer, but the quality and service has significantly declined. I walked in and was told by a staff member they couldn’t make any of the bowls or smoothies for me, which is the majority of the menu. I asked if I could order any of the hot food items on their menu, and was told “no”. Finally, I asked if they had coffee, and was told that was also not available. After looking at their baked goods and saw a massive amount of flies within and outside the case, along with the messy and unkept counter for prepping food behind the register, I left. I recommend going to Brothers instead, which has better service and actual food available for purchase.
0 stars. Ordered cardamom rose latte 9$ lol. Terrible flavor. They didn’t care, the blonde girl was rude didn’t care. WOULD NEVER COME BACK. The worst place
There are much better options nearby — more affordable, fresher, nicer atmosphere than here... This cafe isn’t worth the $$$
Walked over here at 9AM in the rain today and the door was locked. There was a girl in there with a pink sweater and she didn’t even budge. Google says you open at 7AM
