Vecio Rome Reviews
Great aperitivo here with good olives!
I’m sure the two managers are sick of me at this point, I came here 4 days of my 6 day trip. The service is so spectacular, the food and wine are delicious (and the Negroni is to die for), and the ambience is amazing. I almost didn’t want to write a review because I wanted to gatekeep it but I want them to stay open and be successful so PLEASE come here! Lovely lovely lovely, cannot wait to return on my next trip to Rome.
Original and delicious cuisine that goes against the grain of classic Roman dishes. And exceptional signature cocktails. The duck pastrami is exceptional and very well balanced; it's a dish that wouldn't be out of place in a gourmet restaurant.
Pleasant atmosphere, delicious snacks and drinks. We'd gladly return.

A disappointing and surreal experience. I went with some friends a couple of months ago, and unfortunately, the experience was more like a scene from a movie than a normal dinner. The service was extremely slow, and when it came time to order, we were told that more than half the menu was unavailable—something we hadn't been told upon arrival. A friend of ours, who doesn't eat meat, found herself with very few options: she could only order two small plates of mushrooms (about eight euros each) and one of peppers. No fish, few vegetables. The staff was also disoriented: the waiter introduced himself as new, but we later discovered he was just covering for the regular staff, who were involved in an accident—an understandable and unpleasant situation, but one that should have been at least a little more transparent. Furthermore, during the evening, the lights went out at times, and our conversation was drowned out by the sound of rain pounding on the roof—it truly felt like we were in a shack. I understand the challenges of the profession, and our intention isn't to criticize for the sake of it. A little honesty and communication would have made the evening more manageable.

The three of us went one evening for an aperitif/dinner and found the place closed despite it being open. So we decided to try again another evening, booking through their platform and also receiving a confirmation email. We arrived, and once again it was closed without any notice, even though our reservation was still confirmed.
Closed today, even though it says open here! Meh 🤷🏼♀️
We came across this place, before going to the theater we wanted to have an aperitif, as requested by the girl, after having taken a bottle, not a lot of rosé bubbles, we waited half an hour, there were only 2 other tables, they brought us for 5 people, a mini white focaccia, as big as the dessert plates, two mini cutting boards, with 2 slices, I swear by the number of presumed Cinta Senese ham, 3/4 slices of salami, ditto of mortadella and loin, two squares of cheese and Stop!!! When I pointed out at the checkout that it was more than poor for 5 adults, the girl joked that she did it to save us money!! What are you doing in my pocket!!! Oh and by the way we spent 89 euros!!! To forget, we went out and went next door to Supplizio to make ourselves 2 excellent supplì!!!!
