Temple Coffee Roasters Sacramento Reviews
Mexican mocha is lovely, with the perfect balance of rich chocolate. Great atmosphere, great service, and an all-around cozy spot I’d happily come back
We really enjoyed our visit to Temple Coffee. The atmosphere is great, and the food is delicious - especially their avocado toast, which was fresh and perfect prepared. Highly recommended!
I liked their coffee a lot. I ordered a cappuccino and it was delicious till the last drop. I wish they had more pastries as I don’t care for muffins or donuts in general. Will definitely go again for their coffee.
I stopped into Temple Coffee on a quiet morning, and it immediately felt like the right choice. The space is modern but still comfortable, and there’s something calming about the way everything is laid out. I ordered a latte, and it was smooth with a rich flavor that didn’t need extra sugar. The staff was friendly without being overly chatty, which I appreciate. I ended up sitting there longer than expected, just enjoying the relaxed energy of the place.
The iced mocha was incredible. I got less sweet and my boyfriend got regular, and 100% will return when in Sac. The almond croissant is one of the best ive had as well!
I finally stopped by Temple Coffee after hearing so many good things, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The vibe is calm and inviting, and it’s the kind of place where you can actually hear your own thoughts. My latte was rich and smooth with a bright note I really enjoyed. The barista even recommended a pastry that paired perfectly with it. Such a thoughtful touch. I’ll definitely be back.
A come here a couple times a month. It can be pricey. That full strength caffeine can get to you. I sometimes get decaf or half-caf. I also ask for half the sweetness on the lattes. They have seasonal baked goods, some you don't see at other coffee shops. Good taste and quality 👌. Pleasant employees always smiling 😃. Thank you.
Amazingly kind staff. Perfect ice tea. Highlight of my visit was the direct and kind, upbeat conversation with Sierra. It's not often that someone asks your name and it feels like they are actually going to remember you. If you want to have nice people make you great drinks come in here.
Today marked my first visit to Temple Coffee. I had heard wonderful things about this spot, so while I was in the neighborhood, I decided to check it out for myself. I didn’t catch the name of the staff member who assisted us, but she was instrumental in helping my husband and me choose our coffee drinks. We both opted for lattes with sugar-free vanilla, which were expertly crafted and not overly sweet. We also shared a ham and cheese croissant that was absolutely delicious. The service was prompt and efficient, even with a busy crowd of customers coming and going. I'm looking forward to trying a different coffee on my next visit!
Back after a really long time as I’m not from Sacramento. Awesome to be back! My favorite coffee roasters in Sac area. One of my top 10 favorites across the country. Please try. My usual go to is Whole mil latte with Dharma coffee. Service: 5 Atmosphere:5 Cleanliness: 5 Value for money: 5 Food Taste: 5 Recommendation: please try if you haven’t already.
My first time visit Temple Coffee on S street and I had great experience with both customer service and coffee. Barista is friendly and so helpful. He recommended me vanilla latte and matcha latte. The outdoor patio is large enough. Overall, coffee drinks and patisseries are great at Temple. Nothing can beat the aroma of a freshly brewed coffee.
Wonderful coffee at this great location. My latte was not bitter at all and one of the best tasting lattes I've had in a long time. They have very fresh baked goods. A lot of the other coffee spots that don't necessarily bake items have older looking baked goods. These guys have very fresh items and very unique items. The space is really well designed with a lot of wood paneling and nice photographs. The outside space is green and spacious so lots of places to sit with social distancing in mind. Easy parking on and off the street. The staff are really friendly and efficient.
I got a matcha latte, definitely overpriced at $8 but what isn't overpriced these days?

Love this place. Coffee is good and the staff are always very helpful and friendly! Just around the corner from Pushkins so the location works as well.
My go to coffee stop after I do my grocery shopping at the Sacramento food Co-op next door. Just follow the coffee sign and walk through the alleyway where you see the anteater or armadillo thing. …
My favorite roaster EVER!!! On vacation in Waikiki and they had a cafe serving Temple. I was in heaven twice! Temple on the beach was amazing.
very cozy vibes went to study and it was great! The chai i got was great and the service was good too.

I was about to crash out from being unemployed but after a sip of this green tea I was feelin myself. So tasty and the vibes were on point. Very friendly service.
The coffee is SO GOOD, the environment is amazing, and all of the baristas are incredibly friendly and welcoming! Can't stop coming back!

My best friend raved to me about Temple, a popular specialty coffee company based out of Sacramento. How could I miss the opportunity to support this locally owned and operated cafe?\n\nI'm a full …

Amazing other than the prices, but what are you gonna do. $9.15 for just a matcha latte. I can buy my own matcha powder, and make 10-15 lattes for the same price.
The place is right next to the very convenient co-op supermarket. The parking is a little tight with a ‘2-hour’ parking sign. It was really quiet when I was there since it was just opening and nobody was open other than them. It has a nice place to sit outside and the baristas were nice. They have good coffee; I had a regular latte. But I can't help but think about the $7 lattes though. If I remember correctly, they may have the most expensive lattes in town. I don't understand it.
Ordered a cappuccino. It was not very good. The quality of temple has gone down significantly. I've been a customer for years now but lately the coffee is just not good.

Quality coffee. Cappuccino was on point. Very clean inside. A decent amount of sit down spots, but I came on a very busy evening so I sat outside on patio.
Stopped in for a quick espresso. At first I did not understand the counter instructions at all (order from where? stand where? why isn't it obvious?) and wasn't sure if I should sit or give my order. Thankfully, the tall barista with glasses and dark hair (near the pastry display in my photo) was friendly and helped me when I looked confused. She suggested a nice banana bread and was overall much friendlier and more helpful than the other staff. This location was super full in the afternoon with workers. I probably won't be back, but I wanted to shout out the one staffer that saved the day for me. She seems like she really cares about customers.
Decent drinks and chill ambiance. The issue with all temple coffee is that it's overpriced and you'll be looking at over $7 for a drink if you want to include a tip. 3.5 stars and could be 4 if pr…
Service was wonderful. clean place & the restroom was very clean and had a wonderful citrus smell. Only complaint, iced tea should not be $6.00. It's a bag of tea and hot water with ice for god's…
$18+ for two lattes! (We're used to $11ish in the Bay Area.) Asked the server - charge included an upcharge for having the coffee there (not to go)! Yikes.
I just left this Temple location feeling extremely upset by how the situation was handled. It has been about 2 hours and I am still crying. It was a busy Sunday morning (as per usual) and I waited approx 20 minutes. I ordered two lattes to go — one oat milk and one regular. The manager, who was also making drinks, misheard and made them as a mocha instead. When I noticed the mistake at the register, I mentioned it but immediately clarified several times, “It’s fine, it’s totally fine, please don’t dump it.” The drinks were perfectly acceptable to me. Despite this, the manager took both drinks and dumped them out while I was still saying, “Please don’t, it’s okay.” This was not only wasteful (~32oz of product), but also extremely dismissive. I became visibly upset and ended up crying at the register. I then had to wait another 5–10 minutes in the lobby for a remake I did not want at this point, feeling embarrassed and disregarded. When the drinks came out, I explained to the manager why I was upset — that I had clearly stated the original drinks were fine and I didn’t want them remade. She responded that it was loud and that Temple’s policy is “to make you happy,” despite the fact that I was visibly distressed as a direct result of food product being wasted as well as not being listened to. TL;DR: A minor misheard order was perfectly acceptable to me. I repeated multiple times that it was fine and asked that the drinks not be dumped. The manager ignored me, discarded the drinks anyway, wasted product, and left me visibly upset while I waited for a remake I did not want.
I came here today and thoughts of drinking an iced Matcha latte with vanilla cold foam. In return all I got was milk with a pinch of Matcha. The only reason why I came here was because I heard good reviews about this place and I thought they’re very experienced. to my surprise, I was disappointed. so just a heads up I don’t think this location makes great Matcha when I asked if I could get more, Matcha added to my drink, they told me they usually charge for extra Matcha and I’m grateful they added more with no charge, but there was no difference even with the extra Matcha they apparently added.
